Forms.INS(72) No String value associated with this variable
When I try to distribute my application I need to make sure that
when my app installs it either adds or creates the environment
variable Forms60_Path. This can be done in the project
builder. When going through this one of the steps you have
ability to add new environment variables. So I add on one named
Forms60_Path with a value and contents of %PROD_HOME% and with
the append set to yes.
This now will give me either one or two errors when installing
the application. The first error is that because i am choosing
append set to yes it doesn't appear to be checking if the
variable is already there or not. What it does do is give me a
messages saying "A file not found while trying to translate
Forms60_Path from '$Oracle' would u like to retry, ignore or
process' I have choosen to process and the installer correctly
adds the registry entry. That is a good thing but i still
should not recieve an error when doing this it should check to
see if the Reg entry is there if not then create it, if it is
there then append to it. This only happens if you have append
set to yes and the environment variable does not exist in the
registry yet.
The second error is more concerning because it just cancels out
of the install all together. What it does no matter what under
any circurmstance after you have added an environment variable
in the delivery wizard is give u a message saying that
"Form_Name.INS(72) No String Value associated with this
variable" This error always comes up no matter what. After
looking throught the INS file I took out the line
"win32_register_map_variable(repl_var);" and I no longer
recieved that error. My question is why do I get this error and
what is the ramifications of taking this line out of the INS
file?
If no one else has had these problems I will be simply amazed!!!

If yes, this issue occurs if one or more of the following conditions are true:
An object in the on-premises Active Directory has an SMTP address that's the same as the SMTP address of the object that's reporting the problem.
An object in the on-premises Active Directory has a mail attribute that's identical to the object that's reporting the problem.
An object already exists in your organizational account and has the same SMTP address or mail attribute as the object in the on-premises Active Directory

How do I change the email address associated with this account?
I can find no option to update the email address associated with this account. This is causing a problem since the Apple Support Communities ID that I use is different than my iTunes account name, but the email address for both is the same. it's causing all sorts of weirdness with Game Center, logging into this site with my iTunes account (errors out), etc.
I see no options in preferences ot update this account email address.
Am I missing something obvious?Well 99% there anyway. Now that I've successfully updated my email address, it asked me to merge the new email address as the login, which is fine, so I did that, but now I no longer see the option to edit the "Username" value.
What I'm trying to do here is to retire my username under this account, and take it on under my primary iTunes account. It won't let me do that while this old account has it reserved.
Hopefully that makes sense
Once I merged my new primary email address with this account, the 'Username' field disappeared and now just shows the new email address with no option to edit the friendly 'Username' *sigh*. -
Previous user has left the Company and is uncontactable. The company owned iphone is associated with thier account.
How do we provide POP to Apple for Apple to dissasociate the device form the previous users account?
Thanks.Without the previous user's ID and password, or getting him to remove the phone from his list of devices, the iPhone is useless. There is no workaround for this and certainly where individuals are concerned Apple cannot help.
I have seen a suggestion that Apple may be willing to do this in a corporate situation like the one you are in, but I've seen no confirmation of this. You have nothing to lose by contacting Apple and asking, but don't be surprised if you are told it can't be done. This is a security device and if it was possible to bypass it there would be no point in having it in the first place.

I'm thinking of upgrading from v10.6.8 Snow Leopard to OS X Yosemite. I know, I'm years behind, but it has become a necessity. My Mac is becoming slow and is incompatible with many softwares and websites. Does anyone know of any problems associated with this upgrade? What are the implications and/or consequences of installing Yosemite? Does it effect functionality of v10.6.8 software or hardware? Are there any precautions I should take before the installation? I have read some posts about Macs slowing right down after installing Yosemite. Any insights and information (in layman's terms please!) would be very useful. Thanks.

Clearly there are some applications I need to remove and no doubt my HD could do with a 'spring clean'. My Mac 'Safe Booted' when I turned it on this morning.
I use many different softwares, some web-based. The decision to upgrade to OSX Yosemite is because I was unable to attend a Webinar this week using GoToMeeting downloadable software. GoToMeeting have upgraded their system and my OS is no longer supported. Other websites like VImeo no longer support my version of Safari. I tend to use Chrome if Safari isn't compatible.
Problem description:
I'm thinking of upgrading from v10.6.8 Snow Leopard to OS X Yosemite. However I have noticed that my MacBook Pro becoming ‘slow’ over the last 3 weeks and therefore might have some issues that need to be resolved before I even consider installing OSX Yosemite. My current Apple ID, for which all of my content has been downoaded (e.g., music, apps) is associated with a work email address that I will no longer have access to in the near future. In my Apple ID account, I noticed I had two alternate emails listed, one is my .me account and the other is my .gmail account. I use my .gmail account, and it is the primary email I use with friends and family. I noticed both were not verified, and when I tried to, it said they were both associated with other accounts. I was able to log into a separate Apple ID account I must have set up at tone point with my .gmail, and I changed the email address to a new one I created. I also deleted the gmail account from any other Apple-relted account I could think of. I am still gettgin the same error message when I try to add it to my current Apple ID: "This email address is already in use or you may already have an Apple ID associated with this email address. Please try again or sign in using your existing Apple ID."
My concern is this: with FaceTime and now iMessage, it seems more important than ever that I am able to use my correct email address. With iOS5 beta, I cannot enter either my .gmail or.me accounts under "You can be reached for messages at:" as I get an error stating: Unable to verify email because it is already in use."

I just spoke with a technician at Apple. I hsven't been able to verify because the wife has the phone. but he said all that you need to do is:
1) Go to Settings --> iTunes Store and login with your Apple ID and pwd
2) Go to Settings --> iCloud and login with your Apple ID and pwd
seems that the phone requires you to login to the store first... -

1) Visit My Apple ID at https://appleid.apple.com/.
2) Click the Manage your account link on the right sideof the page.
3) Enter the account name (Apple ID) and the password you used when creating the account.
4) Change the email address associated with your account.
5) Send new verification email

Please follow these steps to access your Apple ID accountinformation:
1) Visit My Apple ID at https://appleid.apple.com/.
2) Click the Manage your account link on the right sideof the page.
3) Enter the account name (Apple ID) and the password youused when creating the account.
4) Delete any duplicate email addresses associated withyour account.
5) Click the Save Changes button.
If you do not have duplicate email addresses on your account, it is possible that your email address is already being used withanother Apple ID. In order to verify your email address with the current AppleID, it will need to be disassociated from your other Apple ID. You can do thatby following these steps:

I want to change my apple id but get the message "This email address is not available for use as an Apple ID. You may already have an Apple ID associated with this address. Please try again or sign in using your existing Apple ID.". I try to log a call with apple support and I get a message like "cannot schedule a call". That leaves me out of options. Any ideas?

I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues changing your Apple ID. It is correct that if an email address has been used previously for an Apple ID, it can not be used for a different Apple ID, as noted in this article:
In most cases, your Apple ID is also the primary email address of your Apple ID account. You can change your Apple ID to any other email address you control, as long as it's not already in use as an Apple ID. If your email address ends with @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com, it's already an Apple ID.

If you are certain that the email in question has never been used for an Apple ID and you are having issues contacting Apple Support regarding this issue, you may want to make sure you are going through the Apple ID support channel on the following page:

Can't log in message "what is the username associated with this smartphone​"
When I attempt to login to app world, I enter my email address and pw, and the it gives me a popup for - "what is the username associated with this smartphone". How do I find out what to enter here? (I don't remember what I may have used in the past).
Also, how can I be sure that I am using the right email address to login? I've tried my other emails and I get stopped before this screen since it doesn't recognize the email.
