Forms not prompting to save

I created a form... and noticed that when I go to record and choose insert it.. insert record and then exit out of form it doesn't give me the prompt anymore to save.. I did get this message before but not anymore... what could be a possible fix for this issue..
Thanks

Before when I was working on this it asked me if I want to save changes or notCan you go back to the original version and try again? It is the default to ask if you want to commit, so you must have changed something somewhere, like exit_form(no_commit). Or maybe a clear_record?

  • Firefox is not prompting to save password for specific user on specific site. How can I correct this?

I am using saved passwords feature. The site in question is a common webmail site. I have more than one account for this site. Usernames and passwords for each account were stored in Firefox 'Remember Passwords' feature. I unintentionally deleted one entry from the dropdown list that is displayed when I go to the site's login page. Now, when I log in to this account, Firefox will not prompt to save the password. If I display my saved passwords list, there are entries for the other accounts on this site, but none for the user account in question. The Saved Passwords 'Exceptions' list is empty. How can I get Firefox to re-prompt to save the password for this user on this site? (Note: When I speak of 'user', I am not referring to user account on the PC or a specific Firefox user profile.)

I am using Avast free version. Today I removed the LAN cable out of the 24 port switching hub and plugged directly into the router port. Now the program runs fast when checking for emails. Looks like all the emails are showing up. I do have other computers plugged into the switching hub with no problems. The hub is brand new. My thinking is the cable connector might be to blame. I will try re-crimping the wires. As for now, things are running good. I will keep investigating. Thanks

  • Indesign CS3 will not prompt to save

I recently updated my indesign cs3 with the adobe updater but when I opened the program it said that my workgroup client.indesign pl
ugin was conflicting with my workgroup client UI.indesign plugin, so i went online and downloaded the indesign cs3 update and indesi
gn was working fine except that the program will not SAVE AS. If i click on it, there is no prompt and if i make a change to my file
and close the file, the program will not prompt me to save the file before I close the program.

Both of those are in the required plugins folder on my system, and have the same date and version number (5.0.4.682), so you might want to check to be sure yours match.

  • If I'm not prompted to save a password, how can I create an exception URL? Library card numbers are confidential by law and are being displayed on our machines

The autofill/password function is allowing library card account nuumbers to display for every previous user on our library computers and probably other computers on campus. Since the box asking "do you want to save" does not appear, we aren't able to check the "Never" box and add the library catalog URL to the Exception list in the Security tool which was the solution recommended in 2011.
Although we recommend our users change their PIN from the default, the majority of them do not so their library records are publicly available, which is a violation of the Patron Confidentiality Act in our states and probably the other 49 states.
We would like to retain Mozilla as a browser option on our library computers, but if there is no way to fix this, we will have our ITS department block it on the College network.

You can lock the browser.formfill.enable pref and possibly the signon.rememberSignons pref as well to false to disable remembering form data and log in names and passwords.
    <pre><nowiki>//
    lockPref("browser.formfill.enable", false);
    lockPref("signon.rememberSignons", false);</nowiki></pre>
You can use a mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder to lock prefs or specify new (default) values.
Place a file local-settings.js in the defaults\pref folder where you also find the file channel-prefs.js to specify using mozilla.cfg.
    pref("general.config.filename", "mozilla.cfg");
    See:
These functions can be used in the mozilla.cfg file:
defaultPref(); // set new default value
pref(); // set pref, but allow changes in current session
lockPref(); // lock pref, disallow changes

  • Prompt to save Sequential Model; Not desired.

When Saving one of my TestStand applications, I get prompted to Save the SequentialModel.seq.  I have never saved changes to the sequence model and do not want to.
What do I has to be done to this application so it uses the untouched Sequence model AND not prompt to save changes to the Sequential Model?

    Hi,
Since you never saved the sequential model my guess is that the test sequence you are having could be creating this issue.
    Try this :
Open TestStand and open a new sequence (dont open your test sequence).Save.Do you still get the prompt to save sequential model?
If no then problem maybe with the test sequence.
If yes then simply repair TestStand.
Normally this happens when one of the types (common to your test sequence and NI types) version is incremented in your test sequence.
When you load your test sequence in TestStand it automatically detects that the types present in sequential model is of a lower version and prompts to save it.Its a feature not an issue.
You can use this tool to resolve the type differences:
    https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-39163
Convert your test sequence to be compatible with the sequential model and this should resolve the issue.
    Hope this helps.

  • Prompt to save before scanning

When "creating a document from scanner" in Acrobat 8 Standard, I would be prompted to Save before the scanning began.  This isn't happening with Acrobat X Standard.  Is there a setting I can change in order to get this prompt?

Lori, Thanks for your reply.  I now have Acrobat X standard and that is where I'm not prompted to save before the scan starts.  What can you tell me about this version?

  • Am prompted to save a web page as a file before I can print it. How to fix it. Also Yahoo toobar was installed. Are they related

Someone asked if I could help with this problem they are having with Firefox with Windows XP.
There are a couple things going on that may or may not be related.
Firstly the Yahoo toolbar was installed in Firefox. I assume this was bundled with another program or update.
Also, if you try to print a webpage from within Firefox you are prompted to save the file first. I tried printing a page from Firefox on my computer (Firefox 30 Mozilla Firefox for Linux Mint - 1.0) and was not prompted to save the file first.
I'm assuming that this issue is related to the Yahoo toolbar.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Hi muttleytm,
The official download is not bundled with the toolbar. [https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/]
Reset the printing settings/preferences with this :[[Fix printing problems in Firefox]] ]
And you can try to disable the toolbar temporarily or try safe mode if there are other add ons installed: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]]

When i change existing settings then system is prompting the Custoizing request.

    Please help.

    Hi Mithun
    Thanks for the reply.
See if you can change some text fields and try saving it.
I tried with changing the Text , system is prompting me the Request but we have more than 37 Product Allocation Objects and Sequence.
Else on the menu bar Table view option, select transport, it would ask you for a request.

  • End users are not able to save interactive pdf form created with designer

I am new to using LiveCycle Designer and have created a pdf form but my end users are not able to save edited form. Does this have something to do with whether the form is static or dynamic. If so, I am not exactly sure how to use the restorestate option to convert it back to static. I also tried to enable the "user rights access in adobe reader" under the advance menu and had no luck.
My end users have acrobat reader 9 - do I need them to download anything else, maybe professional.

    Thanks Paul for your reponse
In my Adobe Pro I don't see the option Reader Extend rather I enabled "Enabled Usage Rights in Adobe Reader" amd I figured this was somewhat the same. So if I enabled this option in Adobe Pro already and they are still not able to edit the fillable text slots or save it what other option do I have in figuring this out.

  • How do I save a password for a site if I am not prompted by Firefox?

I am trying to save a password for a site that I previously chose not to save one for.
    I have tried:
Going into my exceptions list - it's not listed
Going into my saved password list - there's no option to manually add a site
Checking the forums but there is no solution that has worked
In one forum I followed one solution. I opened a new tab, typed in about:permissions and searched for the site. It was remembered and set to 'Allow' password storage but 0 passwords were stored so I could not use the 'Manage Passwords' button. I even tried the 'Forget About This Site' button to see if navigating back to the page would reactivate the password prompt but it did not.
    Little help?
    Thanks,
    Megan

I am having this problem with logging in to my Craigslist account. The autocomplete will enter my user name after typing the first letter, but the password does not, and I'm not prompted allow it to be saved. It used to autocomplete the password, but after I changed the password and deleted the old one in Saved Passwords, it won't save the new one. The bookmarklet doesn't seem to change anything. If this a CL issue, is there a way to circumvent it?

  • Why doesn't the image from my fillable form not appear when I save it as a PDF?

  • Acrobat not able to save form

I have created a PDF document/form that is required to sent out via email, be adjusted and saved. However, the clients are unable to
save the adjusted document they are only able to save the blank document. I can edit the PDF and save the document but no one else
can. All the clients have downloaded the latest version of Acrobat Reader buy they are still unable to save anything but the blank f
orm. I have been searching for answers all over the internet but am unable to find the right answer. Can you help?
I have allowed extended features prior to uploading the form.

Not sure what's up then. I created a form using both Acrobat and Livecycle Designer (in case that's what you actually used to create the form), enabled them in Acrobat and they work no problems.
How are the people getting the form from you? Are they opening them from within Reader or are they clicking on a link and opening them in a browser?

i am using Acrobat 9.0 pro
    The steps i took
    1) Created the form.
    2) Opened PDF
    3) Choose Advanced > Extend Features In Adobe Reader.
Also, check to see if you maybe have a script running that resets (clears) the documents on closing.

    Hi,
Generally in SAP If u have changed any object whether it is customize or Workbench object once it is saved in one request and if u have deleted the same form request and if u r trying to change the same objects then the system will automatically save into the  same request.
IF the old request is released then system will ask new request. Please check the old request ...

  • Reader-enabled form from Acrobat is retaining interactive form fields when user saves the form

This is an issue that has only recently come up. In the past it was not a problem to take a pdf, add interactive form fields to it in LiveCycle, then open the form in Acrobat and enable usage rights for Reader users.
This allowed Reader users to fill out the form and save the results. With the most recent versions of Acrobat and Reader the user saves the form and the data AND the interactive form fields are saved in the resulting file - meaning that the data is still there to be changed. Clearly not what we want and not what Acrobat and Reader were doing previously.
The form does properly display "You can save data typed in this form" when opened in Reader.
I have got no response to this issue in the LiveCycle forum, and nothing shows up in a search. I would very much like to fix this, as it is affecting our entire library of pdf forms.

In most instances the form is linked on the website, so the original form will cannot be overwritten.
In some cases we have to supply an interactive pdf for a department that they will then distribute by email to various groups who are expected to fill the form out on submit on an ongoing basis. That is what I was meaning by the user filling out the form, printing it, and then being prompted to save changes.
The bigger issue is that most of our users expect to take a form hosted on the website, fill it out, and then save a pdf copy of their responses for reference. The reference copy is retaining the interactive fields rather than printing as a static pdf.
If I could force the action of printing as a pdf (rather than saving as a pdf) on submission I think that would solve the issue. The script for most of the forms in the library is xfa.host.print(1, "0", (xfa.host.numPages -1).toString(), 0, 0, 0, 0, 0); and I am not aware of a way to force the print to only be to the pdf print driver.
