  • How to check which form is running on web

    Hello.
Is it possible to check which form is running on web, on AS?
When you go on AS to forms/user session node, you can only see config name of forms (or form name if you haven't set config)
We have set our configuration for running forms in formsweb.cfg under configuration section.
Now under user session we can only see config name and not which forms is running currently under this config (user can access many forms in this configuration).
Is there some other way to check which form is currently running (and by which user) under the config?
    Any idea?
    Thanks

  • Could not run the web browser

I've installed Reader 7.0.9 in order to read ebooks. When I try to activate the mobile device, reader responds with "Acrobat could not run the web browser. Unknown error. (0)". Is there a plug-in missing or corrupted control somewhere. Any suggestions. This is XP SP2 (and SP3) on a Dell Precision.
    Any suggestions.

Let me amend my comment. Reader 7 might have been tested with XP SP2,
but with all the changes in the OS due to security changes, OS changes
and browser changes, Reader 8.1.3 or Reader 9 would be a better match to
    your software.

  • Performance issue of Forms & Report running in Web environment

    Hi,
We have been using Oracle web forms and reports but experience slow and unstable of application when run in web as java applet.
Besides, after using quite intensively during the day or idle for some time in the day, forms is very likely to go halt, which is the biggest problem when we need to serve a lot of customers in queue. When this thing happens, the entire browser needs to be restarted. We can't afford to always do that.
Is anybody out there face the same problem with Oracle Web Forms or not? If yes, can someone provide some guidance and advice on this.
Really appreciate your help in advance.
    Please advise.
    Thanks.

In the server registry entry or env variable
    FORMS60_TIMEOUT
-- Length of time (in minutes) after which the server process shuts
down if there is no communication with the Java Client
(check out the online help of forms builder).
there are some notes about this parameter on http://metalink.oracle.com

  • Help... I need help to install a server for my form to run on web

    Hi there,
I installed a New server with Windows 2003.
I have some oracle forms developed using 6i, I don't mind to convert them later.
What other oracle 10g software I need to install to have my oracle forms and reports to run on web?
I tried to install in this sequence but not working:-
    1- windows 2003
    2- IIS
    3- Oracle Developer Suite
Then I removed IIS and installed the Oracle SOA Application server also still cannot.
What did I do wrong or what should I install (I meant by sequence?)
    Please advise.
    Thank you

    Why installing IIS o_O?
For Installing a developer Machine just install Oracle Developer suite; for testing your forms you use OC4J ("start OC4J instance" in start menu), and you can run your forms in web; no need for a aditional webserver (don't believe there's an OC4J connector for IIS available; and if so I wouldn't use it either ;-))
For Installing a server for "productional" use install Oracle Application Server (available on otn) which comes with an Apache as webserver and all the other needful things for runnung forms on the web.
For configuring both of them just take a look at the documentations on http://otn.oracle.com

    <li>10.1.2.3 (10.1.2.0.2 + patch 5983622)
    <li>11.1.1.4 (11.1.1.2 or 11.1.1.3 + patch 11060983 : this also requires WLS 10.3.4)
Fusion Middleware (FMw) 11 downloads are available from here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/weblogic/downloads/index.html
Patches are only available to customers with access to MyOracleSupport (http://support.oracle.com)
For Forms/Reports users, look for the FMw download titled "Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer". The distribution includes all that is necessary to design and deploy your applications. Note that WebLogic Server is also required and is a separate download (from the same page). Be sure to carefully review the installation instructions before attempting the process. • Oracle 10G forms not running.......very urgent

    Hi all,
    shayan here......
i have just installed oracle databse 10g and oracle 10G developer........i have done it first time....the forms is not running even the test form is not running....i have start the OCJ4 but still the same result..............any sujjestion how to configure....
    plz tell me

    Shayan,
I assume that you are trying to run the form from within Forms Developer and that you are connected to the database.
Now you have to apply the URL that have to be used when running a form. At one of the tabs in the options screen (where you also can choose to save before generating and generate before running or to get debug messages) you can set the default URL by pressing a button.
At this moment I don't have a 10g installation in reach so I cannot give you the exact menuoptions and mouse clicks.
    With kind regards,

  • Forms Not running

Hello i am very much new to Oracle Forms.
1.) Do we require JDK for running Oracle Forms ..??
2.) If yes then,i am Actually using Oracle 10g on that i have installed Oracle Developer Suite 10G
    3.) When i see in my ADD/Remove Programs i find JDK 5, JRE 5 , Java Update 6 & JRE 6.
And the Problem i am facing is that when i try to Run a Form... that means ... my forms gets connected to the database so there is no issue with the connectivity,
But when i Run the Forms ... on Internet Explorer it shows me 'PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED' .... what can be the reason for this ..& is there any solution to this ...?
    Please help.

    Aijaz Mallick,
1.) Do we require JDK for running Oracle Forms ..??No, during Runtime, an Oracle Forms application runs as a Java Applet but all that is needed for this is a compatible JRE not JDK.
And the Problem i am facing is that when i try to Run a Form... that means ... my forms gets connected to the database so there is no issue with the connectivity, But when i Run the Forms ... on Internet Explorer it shows me 'PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED' .... what can be the reason for this ..& is there any solution to this ...?By default, the Oracle Developer Suite (ODS) 10g installation is configured to run with the Oracle Jinitiator 1.3.1.26. However, Oracle has since desupported Jinitiator so I recommend you use the Sun JRE 6 that you have installed. In order to use the Sun JRE, you will need to modify the ODS configuration to specify the version of the JRE that it is to use. This is done by editing the \DevSuiteHome10g\forms\server\formsweb.cfg file. I strongly suggest you make a backup copy of this file before you make any changes. Once you have made a backup, open this file and modify the following lines:
    # System parameter: base HTML file for use with JInitiator client
    #baseHTMLjinitiator=basejini.htm  -- Original
    baseHTMLjinitiator=basejpi.htm   -- New
    #jpi_download_page=http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/1.4.2_06/index.html  -- Original

    # Parameter related to the version of the Java Plugin
    #jpi_codebase=http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/autodl/jinstall-1_4_2-windows-i586.cab#Version=1,4,2,06  -- Origiinal

jpi_mimetype=application/x-java-applet;jpi-version=1.6.0_23After making these changes, you will need to "Start the OC4J Instance" first before you can run a Form from the Forms Builder.
    Hope this helps,

  • Form not working using web widget

I took a form from my current web site (www.oceangetaways.com) and copied the html source code into the html snippet (web widget) on the site I am designing on Iweb. Everything worked except the Submit button is missing. I do not know html - can anyone look at this and tell me what I may be missing - the new form is at http://web.mac.com/oceangetaways/OceanGetaways/How_ToBook.html. Just remember this is a work in progress.. Thansk

The form rendered fine in Safari, but short in Firefox. You can see the submit button if you hit Command - (minus) in FF (reduce font size).
You need to extend content height in page inspector a bit further down below the submit button.
You also need to config your cgi on your dreamhost side.

  • How to make a form not running offline

Hi, I've built my own form, which need to be submitted to a java servlet.
Is there a way to avoid that a user saves the pdf form and submit it when he shouldn't?
I've tryed with "preSave" event, but it cannot be canceled.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you.

If the form is not reader extended, the user can save only a copy of the blank form (not with filled data), provided the end user should use only Adobe Reader.

    Morbeen,
There is a document than helps a lot in
\orant\tools\devdem60\web\readmem.ht. I have exacly the same
