Forms on iPad?

I realize there isn't any Java support on the iPad, but I was wondering if anyone may have thought of a way to get Forms to work on an iPad?
Oracle has a couple of apps for the iPhone which I assume would work on the iPad, so does Oracle have any plans to support mobile devices for any of its other technologies?

Hey youall. I don't even have an ipad. Can't afford it. But I see around here the power people, who make a lot more
money than I do, all do have them and have great expectations about the little people on the bottom, like me, making everything compatible with them.
So if you don't have something functionally equivalent to a mythical citrix for ipads/iphones then I guess you need to use a remote control program like vnc or whatever. You need to get to an environment that can run applets. But don't ask me how to do it because while
I see the problem I am hard pressed to come up with a solution considering I can't even afford this stuff myself. I think you could do it but I didn't say you could do it for free nor that you could do it without it being slow, etc.
It's amazing how people have really put themselves out to implement things you would never think they would want
to do on say an iphone. We have people here who MUST have TWO 24 inch monitors on their desk to do their deskstop things BUT ALSO want everything to work remotely via their iphone and ipad.

  • Adobe LiveCycle Dynamic XML forms & Apple iPad

Are Adobe LiveCycle Dynamic XML forms viewable/useable by Apple iPad and Apple phone or other mobile devices?

According to Adobe, you can with LiveCycle ES4. At least, that's how I read their blog post on ES4 Mobile forms support.
Of course, there have been several discussions started about this in the Adobe forums.

There is no software Rotate View in Reader on an iPad. However, you can use the iPad lock, available on the quick control panel (slide from the bottom of the Home screen to view).

  • What is the best app for filling in forms on iPad for business users

Hi all, Ive been researching this for my own organisation for a few months are trialled a lot of different approaches. We run many remote engineers and have an issue getting job sheets back on which we invoice clients.  If they dont make it back we lose money and sadly many dont make it back!
Our requirements went a little like this:
    1. We didn't want to "rebuild" our forms again in some software. We have them already in word and excel formats.
    2. We wanted the option of letting my users input to the form using EITHER normal handwriting or keyboard.
    3. We needed no complexity in terms of installing software and on that note needed an easy in/out type of contract.
    4. We wanted to capture GPS and some photos with the form and send them all together. (currently we take photos with the phone and they email them back  but tying them up to forms is a nightmare)
    5. We needed to have data extraction so we could report on key data.
    6. We have a resource light IT dept so we needed something quick  and easy to use - VERY easy.
    7. We wanted no surprises with costs etc.
I looked at 8 that claimed the same - "set up forms quickly, grab data etc".    Some were cheap apps where everything is done on the iPad but they just didnt work for what we need.  We needed some control at the IT dept level for version control etc.  Some were also VERY complex and needed a degree to use them!  We dont have an in house form design team, we just have forms we knocked up in Word.    We quickly found we needed a full service and an app on the device that synched with the service.  This left us to "manage" the forms and give the users access to a library.
This narrowed it down to 3 solutions but two didnt do the handwriting part so in the end we chose a SaaS service from www.naturalformscloud.com.  Ive just completed the free 30 day free trial with FULL features (unlike others i tried) and about to sign up but thought id reach out first.     Theres NO hidden extras like storage, or price per submission which enables me to forecast budget accurately. For €15 per user per month I can create as many forms and  send as much as i want.   Heres the rub - i have my forms already in word and excel format. All I do is save them as a PDF and upload them to the system. If i want handwriting recognition i set the fields up that i want and publish it to tablets in literally a few minutes. When users tap in to a field on the form they are given either a keyboard or a handwriting panel. if they write in the panel with their finger or stylus they see the written word but in the field it converts VERY accurately to the data word. In this way they kind of validate the data when entering it but they know how to write so form filling is actually faster than keyboard for some.    We get signatures, photos, GPS,  voice recordings, XML, PDF and CSV outputs within seconds of the form being sent by the user.
Theres an app to install on the tablet called naturalforms enterprise but sync is quick and easy. the tablet app has some good features too. All in all im VERY happy with what we are about to subscribe to based on our criteria and the need for speed!  Interested to hear from anyone else on this ? www.naturalformscloud.com  theres a youtube video on the web site which is quite funky.
    cheers
    Mike

I have the same question, but I want to qualify it with a few things. First, Contacts works great, but I want to keep my business contacts and my personal contacts separate. I know you can separate them in Contacts, however, as an executive assistant I also have my bosses contacts and frankly they are a mess.
I am looking for a separate app that I use just for work. I need to link 5 accounts to this app. 2 will be from Exchange and 3 will be from Gmail. As a bonus I would be thrilled if the app could merge profiles and link to facebook, twitter, and linkedin. Any advice?

  • Forms central form and Ipad.

    Hi
I have created a form in forms central ( paid subscription) and emailed the link to a colleague who wishes to use the form on her Ipad.
My colleague can open the form and fill in the fields but is unable to select a file to attach to the form. On selecting  - select file- the ipad opens up the option to " Take photo or video or choose existing ". What needs to happen for the ipad to show the pdf's  available for upload.
My colleague has adobe reader mobile on her Ipad.
I have looked through forums but cannot get a clear answer.
Your help would be much appreciated

    Hi;
Unfortunately for now this is a limitation using iOS we are looking into.  At this time you can only attach image/video to the form in the attachment field on iOS.
    Thanks,
    Josh

  • PDF Forms on Ipad

I have created a PDF form using Adobe X Pro. The form works fine, I open it on an Ipad using the new reader and fill out the form, works perfect.
My issues is that I am trying to email the document with all the information that was input but I need it to be flattened somehow. I am basically trying to turn the form into a regular pdf file when emailed.
I thought of a "print to PDF" but none of the software does that. When I try to open it in another document, it opens as a regular PDF with no forms and no information (an empty form document, not form). Any idea how I can acomplish this?
    Thanks,
    Watt

Well, I figured it out after buying half of the apps on Itunes...
There is not a true Airprinter to PDF, which would be the simplest answer however if you have this issue, PDF Expert will allow you to flatten a form prior to emailing it, which works for me.
    Hope this helps.

  • Need tech help to fill in forms on iPad 4

I have an iPAD 4.  I RECEIVED A form from a client that needs to be filled out and returned.
I have Adobe reader and Acrobat, I saw on Acrobat that I need to purchase something called Export pdf for iOs etc.  which I don't understand. Is this what I need to be able to convert the form and type on it.  Or is this something that allows me to make up a form, type on it and then send it out?  I need a program that allows me to type on forms or contracts that customers send me.....HELP....I NEED IT LIKE YESTERDAY.  THX IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP I CAN GET...ASAP

You don't need ExportPDF to fill in a form.
You can download Adobe Reader from the App Store on your iPad. It lets you fill out forms. Then you can email the filled out form by using the Share button. Good luck.

  • Need help with Forms on iPad

I am trying to view and submit forms on my iPad. I've created a form in LiveCycle and emailed it to myself but I am unable to view or open the PDF form with the Adobe Reader app. Please help!

Hi Randy - I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5 and when I try to create a new form a pop-up comes up saying that the form will be edited in Adobe LiveCycle designer and that Adobe Acrobat will close. I do not have the option to stay in Adobe Acrobat. Any idea how to stay in Adobe Acrobat instead of moving into LiveCycle? I want to create some PDF forms that can be filled out on an iPad in Adobe Reader and then emailed. Thank you!

  • Tabbing through PDF Forms on iPad

    I have a stupid question.
I've built a bunch of forms in Acrobat Pro XI, and the company I work for provides everyone with iPads for ease of use.  heh.
Our people are using external keyboards for the iPad to fill out these forms and I've been told that the Tab Key on the keyboard does NOT tab through the field.  Instead they have to use the Next button on the on-screen keyboard.
Is there a way to get around this?  They are using Adobe Reader on their iPads.
I do have an iPad, however, I don't have an external keyboard for it - so I can't troubleshoot this.
Thanks for any help.  Oh how I loathe this stupid trend.

ZAGG make a Great KeyBoad Case combination for your iPad. Its slightly miniturized Full sized keyboad it’s a Bluethooh keyboard.  And it actually has the same feel as a Standard Laptop keyboard. It doesn't feel like a Chicklet keyboard. I have one for my iPad. The case is made out of Kevlar.  The key board uses any unversal Power brick that uses a standard USB connector at the brick ined and the micro USB in key board end. I bought the case for mine along with iPad just after the iPad3 came out I have yet to recharge the keyboard.

  • Cannot read filled-out pdf form on iPad

    Hello,
I completed and saved a pdf form and can view it on my MacBook Pro (OS 10.7.5), but when I open it on the iPad, the form is blank and I can't see any of the filled-out data.  After searching online for solutions, I went into Acrobat Pro 9.5.5 > Advanced, but PDF Optimizer is grayed out and I don't find info on how to activate it.  Any help would be appreciated!

If Adobe did I would recommend Acrobat.
ReaderISO work okay but nothing with any javascript or ability work with forms
Currently Reader is just that it allows your look at some PDF's
That is the only PDF Application that allows full java script and Forms fillout.

  • Can't open pdf form on iPad

I can open the pdf form on my laptop just fine, but when I try to open it on my iPad running iOS 6.1.2 and Adobe Reader 10.5.0, I get this error "If this mesage is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the doc, your pdf viewer may not be able to display this type of document." I did notice that when I open the pdf on my laptop, it pops up a note explaining what to enter for a particular field. Can the Reader iOS version not handle these pop-up notes on forms? Is this being worked on? Thanks.

I only know what's been said on the forums. I suspect that there will be support for static XFA forms in the future, though it seems like a lot of work for little return. I would be surprised if dynamic XFA forms are ever supported as it would be much more work, but the return may be greater. I hope that more support for JavaScript with Acroforms comes first.

  • Acrobat form on Ipad - form field to open camera and use photo in field?

If I am using a acrobat form on an Ipad can I set a required field to open the camera, take a photo, and place the photo in the field?

It's possible, but not with Reader for iOS. The only PDF viewer for iOS that I know it can be done with is Readdle's PDF Expert. You can set up a button with a layout other than "Label Only", and use the following JavaScript in the button's Mouse Up event:
    // Mouse Up script
    event.target.buttonImportIcon();
It will allow you to take a picture or use an image from a photo library.
