init: smb(5) repository server not running
    Hello guys,
I'm new to Sun OS and would very much appreciate if someone could identify what is the issue here and its possible solution
Background: I was booting up SunOS 10 on my vmware to carry out some tests and suddenly the electicity tripped and my server crashed (along with the just booting SunOS in vmware)
After i restored the electricity, i was trying to boot up the SUN OS again, but it just dosent start the GUI! It asks me for the root password and then just sits about! When i try to start the GUI with a init 6 it displays the error message
    Any Help Appreciated

    Guys
    Sorry for being a DODO!
I've managed to read all the help messages, the helpful Sun OS presented and understood that i could run the command below, which guides me to run further commands and i've managed to resolve the issue! I can see my GUI now! I'm saved!
    /lib/svc/bin/restore/repository
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

  • Adobe Signing Server: Not Running

    Hi
Actually it is not possible to fulfill downloads using our ACS4 server via ADE.
The error message given from ADE is: E_ADEPT_TIMEOUT.
The status check of the ACS4 server says
6 Adobe Signing Server: Not Running
Do you encounter similar problems or might this be a networking error in our environment?
Are there any known issues in the global ASC4 infrastructure at the moment?
    Thanks
    Philipp

It seems to me that eu signing service is not available:
PING on eusigningservice.adobe.com results in a timeout  (EU Signing Service)
PING on nasigningservice.adobe.com is successful (North America Signing Service)
Do you experience the same issues or received any official information about the progress resolving this issue?
    Thanks
    Philipp

  • Set-tmp-permission is not running in my Solaris 10 Netra CP3060 blade serve

    Hi All,
In my Solaris 10 - Netra CP3060, the following particular script is not running:
    lrc:/etc/rc2_d/S00set-tmp-permissions
    lrc:/etc/rc2_d/S07set-tmp-permissions
Above script is to set the default permission of /tmp & /var/tmp while rebooting if it found any inconsistencies. I changed the file permission of /tmp and rebooted my server. As the above scripts are not running, it shouldn't change the file permission to default. But the file permission changed after reboot.
Please let me know is there any other service running related to this in my server. Was this script incorporated in SMF facility, if so whats that service name?
    Thanks,
    Ram.

OS: UNIX Solaries, Oracle Application Server 10g
To run shell script from Oracle Forms, I used the following host('/bin/bash /u01/compile.sh') and it works well
Now, I need to run unix command something like
    host('mv form1.fmx FORM1.FMX') but it's not working
I tried to append the command mv form1.fmx FORM1.FMX' to the compile.sh shell script but also it's not working although the rest lines of the shell script is running well

more information about the cause is in the server log file .
    possible reasons include:
-Port conflicts. (use netstat -a to detect possible port numbers already used by the operating system.)
-Incorrect server configuration (domain.xml to be corrected muanually)
-Corrupted Deployed Application preventing the server to start.(this can be seen in the server.log file. in the case, domain.xml needs to be modified).

  • DHCP server not running on startup

    Hello,
I installed Solaris 10u7 on my fileserver:
    SunOS sunshine 5.10 Generic_139556-08 i86pc i386 i86pcI configured DHCP as follows:
    dhcpconfig -D -r SUNWbinfiles -p /var/dhcp -a x.x.x.10,x.x.x.11 -d example.com -l 86400
    dhcpconfig -N 192.168.0.0 -m 255.255.0.0 -t 192.168.0.1
    pntadm -A 192.168.0.2 -m myhostname -y 192.168.0.0where x.x.x.10 and x.x.x.11 are my ISP's DNS servers.
At this point the DHCP server works beautifully. But when I reboot, the in.dhcpd process is not started (or quits immediately, I can't tell), and DHCP is:
    DHCP server enabled.
DHCP server stopped. No combination of starting, stopping, or restarting the service with svcadm or dhcpconfig -S can start the server. The commands report success, but when I query, the serviceis enabled and stopped.
But if I just try running in.dhcpd manually, everything works again, until I reboot.
I'm new to Solaris so I'm not sure how to debug this. Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks!

Before the reboot, when everything still works fine:

  • RMI Connector Server not running in java 1.4

I have an application using sun JDMK implementation which is running fine in java 1.3 As I go to java 1.4, the RMI connector server is not running, the state goes to OFFLINE. I don't see any exception except that the server doesn't stay alive. Any idea on the problem ?

If you have the possibility of changing your application so that it uses the RMI connector defined by the JMX Remote API, then I would strongly encourage you to do so. You can get an implementation from http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/core/mntr-mgmt/javamanagement/download.jsp (look for JMX Remote API Reference Implementation).
If you don't have the option of doing this in the short term, then you could try turning on JDMK traces by calling com.sun.jdmk.TraceManager.parseTraceProperties() in the main method of your application, and specifying -DLEVEL_DEBUG on the command-line. You will probably see some logging information that will help you diagnose your problem.

    Hi,
    Java version ?
    Configured Virtual Memory ?
The Supported Operating system to run NW CE is 64 Bit OS. The installation of SAP NW CE is only supported on 64-bit platforms.
For supported operating system and database releases, see its corresponding[ Product Availability Matrix for NW CE 7.2|http://service.sap.com/~form/handler?_EVENT=DISP_NEW&_APP=00200682500000001303&00200682500000002804=01200615320900001418]. SAP JVM 5.1 is recommended to use with SAP CE 7.2 on Windows Platform.
You will face memory address space related issue in 32 bit Windows OS with more than 2 GB of physical memory. You can avoid this problem by switching to 64bit OS Platform.
Please refer [SAP Note 129813 - Windows: Problems due to address space fragmentation|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/129813] to get more information.
In that SAP Note 129813, one alternative is mentioned to deal with this address related issue by activating 3GB feature in your existing Windows OS. Please refer Microsoft KB article [283037 |http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283037]and KB [268363|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/268363/*] for the same. You will have to edit your boot.ini file to append /PAE switch.

  • How to install Apache Web Server with PHP on Sun Solaris Sparc machine

    Hi,
We are trying to install the Apache Web Server and the PHP package on a Sun Solaris Sparc machine running on SunOS 5.8. We are having compilation problems with the source code of both these packages.
Does anybody know if there are ready solaris packages for Apache and PHP available from where we can download and install instead of source code compilation?
Or any instructions / things to watch for when installing Apache with PHP (if anybody has tried installing Apache with PHP on Sun Solaris earlier) is most welcome.
    Thanks,
    Harish

Apache should be bundled along with Solaris check in "/var/apache" in Solaris 8 and Solaris 9
    php is available at www.php.net
I found an old document for installing PHP maybe this will help.
    Cheers

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Installing PHP 3.x for Apache 1.x.x on Solaris
    Introduction
This document describes how to install PHP for Apache on Solaris.
You should have Apache installed before trying to install PHP.
If you want to use PHP with MySQL then you must install MySQL first.
    Before we Begin
    1. These instructions assume that you have Apache installed according to instructions.
    Getting PHP
    1. You must be logged in as root to perform this installation.
    su root
    2. I save all my downloads in:
    /usr/local/dist
If you don't already have one, you may need to create that directory now:
    mkdir /usr/local/dist
    3. You can get PHP 3.0.14 from here(www.php.net).
    cd /usr/local/dist
    ftp ftp.php.net
    cd pub/distributions
    bin
    get php-3.0.14.tar.gz
    bye
    Installing PHP
    1. We will install PHP in /usr/local/build, but use a tricky tar command
to do it in on hit from the download directory:
    cd /usr/local/dist
    tar xvfz php-3.0.12.tar.gz -C ../build
    Compiling PHP
    1. First let's get where the action is:
    cd /usr/local/build/php-3.0.14
    2. You now have 3 options:
    * Simple PHP install without MySQL - goto step 3
    * Simple PHP install with MySQL - goto step 4
    * Custom PHP install - goto step 5
    3. Simple PHP install without MySQL. Next, jump to step 6.
    ./configure --with-apache=../apache_1.3.12
    4. Simple PHP install with MySQL. MySQL must be installed before you can configure PHP to use it. I recommend that MySQL should always be reachable with /usr/local/mysql. Even if you install it else where you
should create a symbolic link from /usr/local/mysql. Otherwise the compiler can have problems finding the mysqlclient library. The command
    should look like this:
    ./configure with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql with-apache=../apache_1.3.12
    Next, jump to step 6.
    5. Custom PHP install. Take a look at the available configuration directives by using this command:
    ./configure --help
    6. Now we can make the PHP executable. This may take a while.
    make
    7. Now we install the PHP module with:
    make install
Adding the PHP Module to Apache
    1. Now we have to setup Apache to include the PHP module:
    cd ../apache_1.3.12
    2. Re-configure Apache to use the PHP module. You should use your previous Apache configure command along with the PHP activate module directive.
You can see your previous Apache configure command by doing:
    cat config.status
You can configure Apache using the previous command with the added PHP module by doing:
    ./config.status --activate-module=src/modules/php3/libphp3.a
If you used the simple Apache install from instructions the command will look like this:
    ./configure prefix=/usr/local/apache activate-module=src/modules/php3/libphp3.a
    3. Make and install Apache with PHP enabled:
    make
    4. We need to stop the server before installing the files:
    /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl stop
    5. Now we can install the new binaries:
    make install
    6. Start apache again (now running the new php enabled version):
    /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start
    Setting Up PHP
    1. We have to tell Apache to pass certain file extensions to PHP. We do this in Apache's httpd.conf file.
    cd /usr/local/apache/conf
    2. Edit the httpd.conf file. If you do a search for php you will find a couple of commented out lines telling Apache to use the PHP module. You should uncomment them to look like this.
    AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .php3
    AddType application/x-httpd-php3-source .phps
    3. I prefer to use the extension .phtml, you can use whatever extension you like (even .html) by adding lines to httpd.conf like this:
    AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .phtml
    Check that it Works
    1. We have to restart Apache to make these changes take effect on the running server.
    cd /usr/local/apache/bin
    ./apachectl restart
    2. Apache should now be running with PHP enabled. The server version should include PHP/3.0b2.
    ./apachectl status
    Apache Server Status for dev.synop.com
    Server Version: Apache/1.3.9 (Unix) PHP/3.0.12
    Server Built: Oct 25 1999 00:37:07
    3. Now it is time to test PHP with a page. The simplest thing to do is create a page called test.php3. My file is here. This file contains the
    following text:
    <?php phpinfo(); ?>
    4. Point your browser at this file on the virtual host which you used:
    http://localhost/test.php3

  • Infopath 2010 Web Form will not run code behind or load External Lists after FormEvents_Loading added

Building a form to edit and create data in external list. The business rules do not allow for creation in an external list bound InfoPath form. (We are cascade filtering multiple drop down lists from external content type).
All works to write code behind to push new record or update record in external list. The big issue came when trying to add FormEvents_loading event to the code to capture URL parameter. I want to be able to pass the Primary Key of the record to
edit, load the data into the form and allow editing and submit. I have tested by manually entering the data and the form works. The form will no longer load data from external lists for the drop downs and shows an error stating "The custom code
in the form cannot be run. This functionality may be deactivated
on the server. For more information, contact the server farm administrator."
I think this is related to moving from the normal forms services into sandboxed code service. Is there a way to access external content types and still have form loading event capture URL parameters?
The code to capture the URL is listed below:
    XPathNavigator myNav1 = this.MainDataSource.CreateNavigator();
    string InputF1 = string.Empty;
    if (e.InputParameters.ContainsKey("AuthPK"))
    InputF1 = e.InputParameters["AuthPK"];
    myNav1.SelectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:CodeData/my:DatabaseUpdateStatus", this.NamespaceManager).SetValue(InputF1);
    myNav1.SelectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:CodeData/my:pk_tblOFCAuthorizations", this.NamespaceManager).SetValue(InputF1);
    else
    myNav1.SelectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:CodeData/my:pk_tblOFCAuthorizations", this.NamespaceManager).SetValue("0");
Is there another way to pass parameters to the form? I tried using web part connection, but that does not work with code behind form at all, which would stop me from updating external list.

    Hi,
As this question is more related to InfoPath development, I suggest you post it to Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO) Forum, more experts will assist you with this issue.

Maybe starting the OC4J is a good idea ....
Source the valid AS environment, then issue :
    $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl status
You will probably notice that the OC4J is not running ...
    in this case issue :
    $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl startporc ias-component=OC4J
