Forms sessions not dropping off.

Hi,
We have an issue whereby when a user closes the forms application though a hard close. The session remains active for some time. On some of our test servers we can not recreate this but on some customer sites they have to wait up to 20 minutes for this session to close.
Can you tell me is there anything i can check or anything i can do to close these sessions without going through the app server and closing the user sessions in there?
We use 10.1.2 app server

Do you mean the Forms process is still active?
Yes, I look in the Enterprise Manager> Forms > User sessions> The session is held open in here long after the Forms have been closed.
Hard close > apologies for the vague description. This is our customers that sometimes switch there PCs off without closing the forms correcly i.e. holding down reset on PC or PC overheating so PC auto switched off in middle of session.

Is it stopping recording after 8 seconds? Are you using Garage Band?

This is actually a feature (i'm not sure why it defaults to this). Instructions for the iPhone version are below:
With the amp section open, touch the sproket on the upper right.
You should be in a "settings" type area with three tabs. Touch "Sections"
Select the section and switch it to automatic - it will now record until you stop recording by touching the stop icon.

Items not dropping off

I have an issue from the user saying that the items are
not dropping off from her worklist.The item is a PO.

what transaction is the user using to see the worklist?
If it is a custom transaction or custom program then may be the logic of program needs to be changed to avoid all POs for which GR has been done.
Standard transactions for POs show all follow on documents existing for a PO. to get the desired result we can filter our results. But in your case I guess its a custom transaction / report.

Windows terminal sessions not logging off

Hi All,
I am new to SDG and hoping someone could shed some light on a issue i'm having with applications running on a windows terminal server.
When i launch a windows application through SGD, it opens and works fine. When I close this application and session, it seems that the terminal session is still being held. Why does it not log off? Is there a SDG setting?
Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like a process/application running in the background is keeping the session open.

Number of Forms sessions not visible

We have forms running using 9ias (9.0.2).
when a user logs in to a Form via his browser, I do not see it in the number of sessions in the enterprise manager under Forms, nor do I see it in CPU USage/Memory Usage.
Is this a configuration issue. How can I see the sesssions, Kill a Forms session etc via Enterprise Manager?

In formsweb.cfg you must set em_mode=1 to enable session statistics.

Announcements do Not Drop Off Sharepoint 2010

I am using the announcements option and have an expiration date. The meeting drops off in the list but does not drop out of the webpart.

That is fine. When you create a new view at your list level it does not automatically gets applied to your web part. You need to go to web part and explicitly select that view for the web part.
e.g. You created a view called "MSDNAnnouncements" and you removed the expiry column from that view and you also set filter where you set Expirty is greater than or equal to [TODAY]. You made this as your default view.
Now when you go to your list you will see all these in effect. When you go to your web part you will not see this given you need to update the view at your web part. Even if your web part is using the same view and you made change in the View you still need
to go to your web part and update the view.

HT4437 My airport express worked over the past year since it was purchased. Recently it keeps dropping off my iPhone 4, my brand new 5s and my iPad. It does NOT drop off my windows based laptop. It does not lose wifi connection. Help?

Can anyone help with this? It is not wifi dropping the airport express. Wifi is connected. Music plays for 5 minutes or so and then goes silent. It is as if the Apple iPhone and iPad is no longer recognizing the airport express. I need to open up the menu and. Lick on the airport express on iPhone and iPad to get it going again. Then it will drop over and over every 5 minutes or so. No problem with Apple TV. Also no problem with my windows laptop as all work s fine with no drops. Crazy.

What does any of this have to do with the Apple TV?

i have an issue where my user has the PO in his work list,
the PO is approved and the GR is also beeen done,
The user does not want to see the item in his work list.

UIX form will not refresh data within session

I have some UIX forms to view a table, they displays data fine but when the underling table data changes (from another user session or an update trigger from different table) the forms will not show refreshed data, unless I delete my browser session cookie. Is there a simple way to fix this, and cause data to be reloaded each time its displayed? I'm using JDeveloper 10.1.2

1- create a data action
2- drag the execute method from the viewobject methods and drop it on the data action
3- draw a page forward from the data action to your data page
4- finally ad a refresh link in your page which links to your data action
now each time you click the refresh button on your page, the execution will go to the data action, where the execute method is executed (the data is refreshed) and then the control goes back to your page.

I'm fairly new to this, but I think it has to do with the way you have the drop downs named. Did you copy one then keep pasting it in each field? If so, that is the problem. You should rename each one with a different number: Dropdown1, Dropdown2, etc. I think that might solve the issue.

Urgent:: Not able to open/lauch forms session

Hi All,
I had cloned our production instance to create a new instance.
But now I'm not able to open the form session. We are having apps 11.5.10.2.
The dbc file is perfect.. I even checked ICX parameters & related profile values.. seems to be ok..
I can login through /dev60cgi/f60cgi. But can not lauch forms from personal home page.
Can anyone plz suggect wht might be wrong?

I'm not getting any sort of error.. It just dont proceed after clicking the menus.. Even I try to check the error from java console, but even no errors are listed in it..
Moreover , I m getting successful AOLjtest run on the cloned instance.

Http.keepAlive does not turn off SSL session cache?

Hi there,
I have a web service client that uses JSSE for making web service calls via https. In an effort to debug problems, I set http.keepAlive to false, I can see from the SSL debug output that KeepAlive timer messages no longer shows up, but I still see text such as "Cached client session" and "try to reuse cached session", etc.
Should not turning off keepAlive disable the use of persistent sessions?

They are unrelated features.
HTTP Keep Alive allows the browser to maintain a Socket to the server and issue multiple HTTP requests over that same socket.
SSL Session caching is when an SSL Session is assigned an ID, and additional SSL connects may be established with the same ID. These additional sockets then do not need to perform the full SSL handshake, since much of the data has already been negotiated previously.

Sounds like we have a similar problem. Four days ago I was playing music through a wireless Bose speaker via bluetooth and everything was fine. Then I was texting while listening and got 2 texts about the same time as I was typing one and my phone went black. I pushed the home button and it worked, went into my texts and all were there. However ever since then the time isn't right, so it can't keep time no matter what I do. The bluetooth works only at times, the wifi keeps jumping on and off, sometimes my data won't work and the other day I couldn't even turn it off, so had to wait until it died. The battery life display at that moment wasn't correct either. Took to Verizon, they couldn't help. Suggested a factory reset, which I did last night and still the same issues! One day I couldn't even text my husband on his iPhone. Just wouldn't work at all. Did everything suggest and still not good. Seems like after stalking these pages today a lot of people are having this problem in Dec/Jan and of course also I'm 3 weeks out of my 1 year warranty and so were many others, by days. Very strange, and all on the 5C. What did you do? Is it working now?
