Forms Version 10.1.2.0.2 and Jinitiator

Hi Everyone, I am using the above named form Version, however, when I want to run the form via forms developer, it ask me to install Jinitiator 1.3.1.22. I already have Jinitiator 1.3.1.18, 1.3.1.21, 1.3.1.26 and 1.3.1.28 installed on the machine am using. Why is it still pointing me to 1.3.1.22 and why not use the latest version 1.3.1.28 . I found a reference to 1.3.1.22 in formsweb.cfg and I changed it to 1.3.1.28 but it did not work. I had to install 1.3.1.22 before am able to render the forms servlet through forms developer. Your advie will be greately appreciated.

If you want to try jinitiator 1.3.1.28, open the formsweb.cfg.
Look for the jinitiator parameters, add:
#when using Jinitiator 1.3.1.28

jinit_exename=jinit13128.exe#Version=1,3,1,28
jinit_mimetype=application/x-jinit-applet;version=1.3.1.28and may place a copy of the jinit13128.exe into the %forms_home%\jinit folder.
Comment out all other jinitiator parameters like:

Whenever I try to create a new Form Version for an Object Form or Process Form I am getting an error.
The Form Version has Lookup Queries as properties and this seems to be causing the issue. We did not see this in the past but are now seeing it.
Anybody else see this issue? Know of a workaround? Know what the validateLookupQuery is actually doing?

Since upgrading to Firefox 6, I can't use my autofill forms. It now has my name and address but doesn't have credit card or password information that it had before and I don't know how to input it or import it from former versions of Firefox.

I just upgraded to Firefox 5. Before when I filled in a form, I just had to click autofill and all my information was provided. I found autofill on customize toolbars and added it, but it only had my name and address, not my credit cards or passwords. Before I could click on them and change them if I needed to. I would like to input them on this version or import them from the last one so I can easily fill forms online, but I can't see how to do it.

Can I get the former version of Firefox back? The updated version stalls while browsing several times a day. I then have to close and restart.

How can i find the installed forms version in 6i, the situation is we have given a solution which will work in only forms6i latest version, before implementing the same we need to check whether the forms latest version has been installed or not
Is there any way to find out without opening the forms builder..?
Even if we un install the forms from a machine, the forms60_path variable will remain in regedit, so we cannot go based on that and aslo i dont know whether regedit will have the version details and all.
It would be greatly appreciated if any one can give a solution.

you query the registry, the registry has the version number saved, but I cannot remember exactly where and I don't have 6i Installed on my machine.

You would need to first create the form ( or Widget in EchoSign) first to generate a url which you can paste it in the email being sent to customers. You would need to make sure you have a Document Cloud Enterprise Premium account in order to create a Widget. If you don't have the account, you can use the trial version to test it. Calling webservices in Oracle Forms version 6.0.8.26.0

Hi,
I am trying to call a webservice from Forms version 6.0.8.26.0. I have created the jar file using JDeveloper 9.0.3.1. I could import the class in forms but when I compile the form, it gives me the following error:

Please advise what I need to do? This version of forms does not have any default.env. So I'm not sure if there is any other path where I need to put in the jar file path. Please advise soon.

OIM 11g: Form Version of Linked Recon Event

If an old reconciliation event is linked (Ad-hoc link) to a user, what form version is given to the form?
The current active version?
The active version at the time the recon event was created?
Based on our testing, it appears as though #2 is the answer. Somehow the form version at time of recon is retained, and given to the form when the recon event is linked.
Is this expected behavior? In our environment we'd like for #1 to be the case, and we can't seem to find a way to prevent this from happening. (The FVC util doesn't seem to help here).
How can we ensure any linked recon events always get the current active form version?

If anyone else is running into this, the "current" and "active" form versions are stored in the recon profile XML files. So, if you update a form version, you need to also regenerate the recon profiles to bring them up to the current active version.

SAP PDF FORM versions

We had some issues with PDF form. We applied support pack. This support pack fixed issues we had with the form.
Then I made some changes to this PDF form which lead to some errors. So I reverted to the previous version on the Version Management of this form. This took us back to the version before we applied support pack and we got back the errors.
Now is there any way to bring back the fixes done by the support pack?? Or the version that exists in Support pack? This form is in component EA-HR.

You have an option in for the field you want to hide in Palettes - > Object where you have mentioned it as invisible
Instead of Invisible make it as Hidden (Exclude from Layout) so your space will not get reserved and it will not be printed on the form also..

Single Form with a button for two seperate form versions.

Is it possible to create an option to select between two seperate Form Versions. For example. I have a Transfer Form. But there is an internation version and a domestic version. Both have some simple javascript. I would like to combine these two forms into one document. When the end user opens the form, i would like to have a button for either domestic or internation. Depending on what the end user selects, it loads that version of the form. I have played around for a while and havent gotten anywhere, and i would like to know if there is even a way to acomplish this, or does it have to be two seperate document forms completely?

With Acrobat or Reader XI one can show or hide a template page. You need Acrobat to create a template page.
If your users will be using older versions of Reader, then you would need to hide or unhide form fields.

Can sql*forms version 3 run in oracle 8 or higher database

I support an application developed many years ago with sql forms version 3 - has .inp files for the source code. It is currently running on a 7.3.4 database. My bos has asked why the database cannot be updated to a newer version. It is my understanding theat newer versions of the database do not support the types of triggers used in sql*forms. is this correct?
