How to use Add Query Criteria for the MySQL data Base in Netbeans Visual web pack.
When the Query Criteria is add like
SELECT ALL counselors.counselors_id, counselors.first_name, counselors.telephone,counselors.email
FROM counselors WHERE counselors.counselors_id = ?
when i run this Query in the Query Window
i get a error message Box saying
Query Processing Error Parameter metadata not available for the given statement
if i run the Query with out Query Criteria its working fine.

*I am glad I am not the only one who have this problem. Part of issue has been described as above, there are something more in my case.

Also when I tried to update my MYSQL connector / J driver to version 5.1.5 from 5.0.5 (NB 5.5.1) and 5.0.7 (NB 6.1), I could not get it work (looooong time to search some JDBC classes and with no response in the end) on both of my Netbean 5.5.1(on PC) and Netbean 6.1(on laptop) IDEs.
Could anybody look into this issue.

I am trying to change the default paper size for Webi Rich Client 4.0.
In 3.x you made the changes to the defaultconfig.xml located in the path C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\classes\AppletConfig.
In 4.0 I canu2019t seem to locate the file, can you advise if the file is the same name and where the file located.

Report Developed in Webi Rich Client Consuming more time in Data Retrieval

Dear All,
I am a BO Consultant, recently in my project I have developed one report in Webi Rich Client., at the time of development and subsequent days the report was working fine (taking Data Retrieval time less than 1 minute), but after some days its taking much time (increasing day by day and now its taking more than 11 minutes).
Can anybody point out what could be the reason?????
We are using,
1. SAP BI 7.0
2. SAP BO XI 3.1 Edge
3. Webi Rich Client Version :12.3.0 and Build 601
This report is made on a Multiprovider (Sales).
What are the important points that should be considered so that we can improve the performance of Webi Reports????

Date Format is different in WebI Rich Client and Infoview

Iam facing problem with date format , but i need the date format as like dd-mm-yyyy.
WEBI Rich Client is displaying the format dd-mm-yyyy.
but in infoview it is displaying like mm/dd/yyyy

Bank row was added in webi rich client when using excel as data provider

reproduding steps:
1.open webi rich client.
2.Create a new webi report,then select "local data source"
3.select an excel file as data source.
4.run query.
For example,there are 5rows in excel,but in webi report there are 6 rows,and the last row is bank which is added by webi.

Fox formula for actual/plan data - Planning function

Hello,
I am working on the following scenarios for developing a planning functions for a monthly forecast.
It is rolling montly forcast where user starts the planning in Jan and he has to show the actaul value for the month of Jan and blank values for the remaining 11 months of the year and then the user post his new forecast values for the remain 11 of the year(to replace initial balnk values) so that the data will be saved to real time cube with version v108
In Feb, Jan & Feb months has to show the act values and remaining 10 months has to show last month forecast data. The the user may revise the forecast for the 10 months and then we have to write the data to the real time cube with version v208
In Mar, Jan, Feb and Mar has to show the actual values and the reamining 9 months has to show the last month forecast and then users may revise the forecast data and then i have to write back to the cube with version v308.
I want to automate this process for all the months and all years without manual intervention. So, i decideed to write a fox formula for this scenario with following draft code.
I will get the fy period & year as a variable values and then take the system date into the variable
for each fy period
if the fy perio <= sys date.
{version, infoprovider,value type,amount} = {0,act cube, 10, 0amount)
else
{version, infoprovider,value type,amount} = {result,plan cube, 20, 0amount)
endif.
result will be calculated on the separe routine and populated here

concatenate v3 with fy+2(2) into y

when 04.

Hi Srini,
If I 've understood u r problem clearly ,You have to write two Fox Functions and you can call exit variable in both to check the system date.
I think first you should create exit varriable which would return the system date,use the same variable in data slice to lock the data till current period.
After that create one fox restricted with any one version where you can copy the data for planning .for example:-
1)First Fox:-
DATA TIM_FISCPER TYPE 0FISCPER.
TIM_REF_FISCPER = VARV(ZEXIT_FPER).
Get the last month
version using modlue or any another logic .(v108)
FOREACH TIM_FISCPER.
    IF TIM_FISCPER <= TIM_REF_FISCPER.
{0amount,version(001) ,tim_fiscper} = {0amount,version(000) ,tim_fiscper}.
else.
{0amount,version(001) ,tim_fiscper} = {0amount,version(v108) ,tim_fiscper}.
     endfor.
Its just n example use the granularity according to the requirement.
2)Second fox would save the changed plan data:-
DATA TIM_FISCPER TYPE 0FISCPER.
TIM_REF_FISCPER = VARV(ZEXIT_FPER).
Get the last month
version using modlue or any another logic .(v208)
FOREACH TIM_FISCPER.
    IF TIM_FISCPER > TIM_REF_FISCPER.
{0amount,version(v208) ,tim_fiscper} = {0amount,version(001) ,tim_fiscper}.
     endfor.
Here ZEXIT_FPER is an exit variable created using cmod and populated with system date.

Select Query Resutls - operand for WebI Rich Client XI3.0 not available?

Hi ,
Using Deski we put a filter condition on a query using the deski query panel. Also we can select resutls from another query in the same report (query from a differen dataprovider) using the operand Select Query Resutls(any).
However in Web Intelligence Rich Client for XI3.0 we don't have this operand so we can not filter using results from another query in the same report.
Does anyone know how to work around this problem?
Know any plans for this feature ? As you all know, this is an extremely powerful feature.

Does anyone know how to work around this problem?
Rich client allows you to import a text or excel file on the fly to your report. To filter what you have you could build entries into the excel file, import, merge dimensions and voila, have your filtering done. It does seem dumb to do it this way when a quick filter is all you want. I'm with you in that the quick filter functionality would be highly desirable.

Is there any way to display the list of values in a single page when we apply a quick report level filter in Web intelligence Rich client report.
Behavior:
When we have large list of values for an object then the list of values are displayed in pages......
We can avoid the pages in Webi by making changes to the 'List of value batch size' from 1000 to 10000.
Is there any setting for displaying the list of values for Web Intelligence rich client ?

Need a formula for 12 months data, 6 months data and 3 month

Hi All Crystal Experts,
In my report, data is grouped by months and I have monthly view of data. I have three prompts- Year, Startdate and Enddate. If I give 2013 as year, 1/1/2013 as start date and 05/01/2013 as end date then report shows monthly view of data for Jan-13, feb-13, Mar13, Apr-13 and May-13. Now in report, for each month, I want three additional columns, I want to show last 12month, 6 month and 3 months view. Like for Jan-13 month, in column 6 months, I want to show data for last 5 months including current month i.e. Jan-13+Dec-12+Nov-12+Oct-12+Sep-12+Aug-12 and in Column 12months view, I want to show accumulated data of last 11 months(+ current month) and in 3 months view, data for last 2 months(+ current month).
I had tried creating Sub report for 12 months view and created Running total formula but it is not showing any value in report. It is blank. I have created running total like this way:
(1) "Running total formula" (which I am using and placing on group footer):
(I) Field to summarize- @Cash_total
(ii) Evaluate (use a formula):
WhilePrintingRecords;
NumberVar Cash_total_12 months;
If Month ({@Month_PostDate}) In [(Month {?StartPostDate} - 11) to Month

CRM Extractor for service management - date type

I want to extract data for the service management from crm system. I find the data with crm_order_read in the table et_appointment. I need the field appt_type with the time stamps.

When Hard-coded server name and data base name are replaced with variables , execute process task does not produce the result

Hi All,
I am trying to load shape file into a sql spatial table. A execution process task is used to run the ogr2ogr.exe program.
This is how the process tab looks like .
Executable : C:\gdal_ogr2ogr\bin\gdal\apps\ogr2ogr.exe
Argument : -f MSSQLSpatial   MSSQL:server=SQL-ABC-DEV;database=MYSIMPLE_Dev;Trusted_Connection=True;\\mypath\files\shares\Data\www.mypage.htm\my_sample_file.shp
Success value : 1
For above settings, package runs fine. The spatial table is created in SQL server db. However when hard-coded SQL server name and database name are replaced with global variables , the spatial table is not created in the database. Yet the package runs fine.
It does not throw any errors. (I am using another variable for full file path. It is not causing any errors though)
" -f MSSQLSpatial   MSSQL:server="+@[$Project::SQLServerName]+";database="+ @[$Project::DatabaseName] +";Trusted_Connection=True;"+ @[User::Filepath] + "\\my_sample_file.shp"
Both variables are string type. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong here please?
I am running this in VS 2012.

There should be a single space just after True:
before
" -f MSSQLSpatial   MSSQL:server="+@[$Project::SQLServerName]+";database="+ @[$Project::DatabaseName] +";Trusted_Connection=True;"+ @[User::Filepath] + "\\my_sample_file.shp"
after keeping the space
" -f MSSQLSpatial   MSSQL:server="+@[$Project::SQLServerName]+";database="+ @[$Project::DatabaseName] +";Trusted_Connection=True; "+ @[User::Filepath] + "\\my_sample_file.shp"
