Formula Is Invalid and possibly Missing operator

Hi:
In a new report build with analytics, I need a new row ("Custom formula in a calculated item) that sum two operands and after that I multiply by (-1) to converter it to a negative value I´m getting the error:
Formula Is Invalid and possibly Missing operator
This is the formula:
('Fixed Burden{Nivel04}'+'Operating Expense & Other - Fixed{Nivel03}')*(-1)
By the way, the elements belong to a Hierarchy.
When I change the value (-1) for (1), dont get the error.

Hi SriniVEERAVALLI:
Thanks for answering.
Your suggestion works, but is not what I needed because I only need it to apply this "negative conversion"  to one row, not the whole columns.
My statement goes something like this:
( A - B ) * (-1)
The operands that you see in my previous message are hierarchies levels
'Fixed Burden{Nivel04}'  +
'Operating Expense & Other - Fixed{Nivel03}'
* (-1)

    Hi Tracie,
I upgraded to Maverick OS X 10.9.5, numbers spreadsheet is saved. Upon re-opening, it appears to be frozen, a warning "file is invalid as index.xml file is missing". I checked, and the file is not "locked". This appears to occur only with using the new numbers app. When I open previous spreadsheets from old iWorks, no such problem occurs.
How did you resolve your problem?
    Would appreciate any help here.
    Thanks,

  • IPhone (7.0.4)'s gmail email severely out of order and many possibly missing

A friend's gmail in Chrome is fine and looks good. BUT... in my friend's iPhone 4 iOS 7.0.4's apple mail app, mail is sorted somewhat randomly in the Inbox, except for some new messages at the top, and large blocks of emails are possibly missing (hard to tell because the order is so messed up).
I tried deleting and recreating the gmail acct on my friend's iPhone, but it didn't help. I recently (last 4 days) uploaded lots of messages via IMAP into my friend's new gmail account from an imported PST file in Thunderbird, where the messages look fine.
The same problem occurred on my iPhone 5 just for this gmail account; my own gmail account works fine on my iPhone5.
The odd thing is that everywhere else I tried (in browsers in Win7, OSX and iOS) the gmail looks fine; it's just messed up in iOS 704 mail.
    Things I tried:
    - deleting and recreating the gmail account on the iPhone 4
    - turning the mail part off and on in gmail settings in the iPhone 4
    - trying my iPhone (iPhone 5); same problem
    - installing and using Google Chrome for iOS (works within the Mobile view; didn't use the separate gmail app; this is just a workaround and a hassle).
    - On my friend's Windows 7 computer, all the mail appears ok within Google Chrome and Mozilla Thunderbird (IMAP).
    NOTES:
    - I uploaded about a gig of email in the last 5 days because this gmail account is new.
    - I signed up for Backupify.com on the first day (about 5 days ago) but when I logged in to Backupify today, a prominent message appeared that indexing was wrong for my Backupify account and Backupify was currently reindexing the backup.

Do you have Sync Mail Accounts selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences?
If so and the other email accounts are not available there which usually means you are not accessing the accounts with the Mail.app on your Mac, deselect Sync Mail Accounts under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences and select Apply and leave this unselected. This only needs to be done once anyway to transfer your chosen email account settings from the Mail app on your Mac to your iPhone automatically so you don't need to manually enter the accounts on your iPhone. This does not need to remain selected and included with the iTunes sync process with each sync especially if the accounts are already created and being accessed on your iPhone.
After deselecting Sync Mail Accounts followed by selecting Apply, manually delete and recreate the accounts on your iPhone in the order you want the accounts listed.

  • Required field, UPC, is missing. Please add UPC to the listing and retry the operation.

What to do about this: "Required field, UPC, is missing. Please add UPC to the listing and retry the operation." ? We sell cassette tapes and sometimes they are are of a vintage that predates upc codes.

forester_studios wrote:OK thanks for the input; but selecting 1 item leaves the other 4 or 5 unsearchable I would think.  Seems like a typical ebay answer (which is not much better than no answer as far as problem solving goes).   I have to wonder if ebay thought this new requirement through.  Often upc codes on Canadian items are not in ebays system at all.  So are these items which have upc codes un-listable  since ebay does not acknowledge they exsist? In that case, here is what I intend to do.... List the most important item's UPC in the actual required UPC field and then create as many other 'custom' item specific UPC fields as are allowed. You need to be on the long form selling form to do it. Call them Other UPC and Even More UPC or something. And then, just to be sure, I'll list all the UPCs in the item description.  Buyers probably won't search for UPC (unless they're standing in a retail store with their smartphone in hand and looking for cheaper pricing online) but search engines do. When I look for the products that I sell on google, I get amazon results 19 times before I see one from eBay. I'm certain that's the UPC talking there. We do need Product Identifiers on eBay. Implementing them is the difficulty. Ebay is aware that the UPC for Canadian packages may be different than the exact same in an American one. I've raised it and was told they were looking into it. Use the MPN identifiers too. Pretty much nothing I list can be found in the product catalogue on ebay.ca (is there one?) so I don't know what to expect for resolution there if and when the Catalogue version of the Product Identifiers are shown to be clearly wrong but I know it happens, here and elsewhere. The last order that I placed with Amazon had a new UPC pasted over an old, similar product. It was not what I ordered. Close but no cigar. Hopefully, when all of this becomes 'official' in two weeks, there will be a timely manner to address item misinformation within the Product Catalogue. In the meantime, I would state all the item properties in the Item Description area to cover my butt.

This is a working system with CS and Bootcamp, on the same physical drive. CS is a Logical Volume Manager on the OSX side and bears no relationship to the Bootcamp NTFS filesystem. The only benefit of reverting from CS to plain JHFS+ allows the BC HFS driver to see the OSX volumes from Windows.

  • HELP! How can i restore/recover files from Bootcamp with Boot Failure - Missing operating system error?

    Hi,
I am having a few problems with bootcamp on my imac. When i tried to move the bootcamp partition on windows 7 into free space, it crashed and turned off. Ever since i have had the error 'Missing operating system' and it fails to boot. I have some very important files on the bootcamp partition. Is it possible to recover these files or even to restore the bootcamp partition to it's original state? I do not have a backup of my bootcamp partition. Another problem i have is that ever since i tried to expand my macintosh HD partition into free space, when i hold alt while booting up (to choose which partition to boot like i normally do), the bootcamp partition has stopped appearing. This means that i cannot even boot the windows 7 bootcamp partition anymore!
So basically here are my 2 questions:
How can i restore/recover files from Bootcamp with Boot Failure - Missing operating system error?
How can i make the Bootcamp partition appear in Startup Disk and when i hold the option key while starting up my computer to allow me to boot windows 7?
Any solutions are very much apreciated!
    Thanks!
I know that bootcamp (disk0s4) hasn't been fully deleted since it appears in disk utility (i cant do anything to it though)
And here is the error i see when i try to launch bootcamp (back when i was actually able to boot up bootcamp to the error screen)

WinClone 3 is OS X and saves Windows image it makes for restore - that should work but you will have to try and you would need to make a new image unless it also works with a native Windows system restore image. It is now supported and has come a long way.

Paragon Clone OS works and does disk-to-disk clone just like CCC you end up with two bootable drives. But does not work with your setup. It would let you clone and move your Windows install to an SSD or another disk drive though and be bootable.
During its clone process it checks for errors which is very helpful and lets you know - something CCC and others should adopt more of.

I wish for our/my sake you had re-read and rewritten the long 'story' and broken it into a brief list of facts we needed.
    OS X
    Windows
Backup (though external is much safer) and you want bootable OS X clones as well as TimeMachine

There are a number of things to do like chkdsk and others as well as Windows DVD to do automatic system repairs and find out why.
AppleHFS - the abilty to mount and read HFS volumes can be notorious.
I would rearrange and redo your storage setup and how you use the 4-5 internal hard drive bays.

The source table is very simple and for this test I'm using no joins. Literally a 'select * from'.
However - when I look at the SQL generated - it's wrong. It's got duplicate lines in the SQL and not all columns selected have a comma after and before the next column.
If I run it direct on Access - I get the same error.
If I clean up the SQL - it'll run fine on Access.
I'm using the SQL to Oracle LKM.
I wondered if it was something with the ODBC driver - so I've tried other versions of ODBC drivers for MS Access, and even switched the database itself from the Office 2007 format, back to 2003, and tried a driver for that.
    Same result.
If I go to the model and right click and look for the data in the table - it displays fine. So obviously ODI can connect and see the data...
So I guess my questions are:
    - is the SQL to Oracle LKM the correct one to source from Access ? I've even gone into it and specified MS Access as the source. Same result.
    - if it is the right one - what's going on ?? I've got to assume other people are pulling data from MS Access. Why the garbage SQL ? Clearly I'm missing something.
    - and finally - worst case - but is there a way for me to overwrite the SQL being generated so I can correct it myself. This will be a PITA since I'll be source from a bunch of tables - but at least it might be a temporary stop gap...
    thanks

I'm going to mark this as closed for now. I solved the SQL issue. It was to do with the way the tables / fields were named and how the fields were being brought into the workflow. Tidying up there fixed the problem.
Getting past that brought me to several other issues which I'm still working through. The current is an Invalid Fetch size error - but that appears to have been resolved in patch Doc ID: 13528165 in ODI 11g (ver 11.1.1.5.0)
given the initial issue that I'd raised is no longer a concern - I'm closing.

  • [solved: PEBKAC] syslinux woes: "Missing operating system"

In light of http://mailman.archlinux.org/pipermail/ … 23211.html I decided to try syslinux, but couldn't get it to work. I think I followed the wiki (i.e. the /boot partition is marked active etc.) but still got  "Missing operating system" error and had to use a liveCD.
If anyone is using syslinux for their bootloader, can you pleas post the configs or give me a hint what could have gone wrong?

I use syslinux (or more precisely the extlinux that boot from an ext{2,3,4} partition) successfully. Hereafter I briefly post what have to be done. If it still does not work. Repost posting exactly what you have tried.
    1) create a directoty /boot/syslinux, containing syslinux.cfg and possibly modules that you will refer in this file (notably menu.c32 and chain.c32). You can put symlinks on the condition that the symlinks point to file in the same partition.
small edit: pay attention of 2) if you use symlinks. the / of the pointed file is the root of the partition where syslinux it. It does not correspond to the way you see it in the system if this partition is not mounted in /. See 2).
    2) Place syslinux.cfg in this directoty. The root of the file mentionned are relative to the root of the partition containing the /boot/syslinux directory. You can also use relative paths that are relative to the directory /boot/syslinux (so if you have a /boot partition, the linux kernel will be referenced as /vmlinuz-linux, if /boot is on the same partition as / then /boot/vmlinuz-linux). I put here my config as an example: http://pastebin.com/zNunwupx
    3) Make the partition containing /boot/syslinux bootable.
    4) Put an mbr on the hard disk to be booted:
    dd if=/usr/lib/syslinux/mbr.bin of=/dev/sda bs=440 count=1
Replace /dev/sda by your hard disk. If you use gpt partition, you may have to use /usr/lib/syslinux/gptmbr.bin
    5) run
    extlinux /boot/syslinux

  • "Missing Operating System" on boot?

My Windows side was working perfectly until very recently, where it now displays a "Missing Operating System" error in the BIOS when I start it up.
I have tried to use EASEUS File Recovery to no avail and it detects the wrong files; OS X also displays the wrong files in my Windows Drive (it appears as if it was a fresh install of Windows). The Windows 7 install DVD does not recognize my OS as being there and I have no idea what to do.
Any help or suggestions? Or do I need to format my drive and lose all my years school work? (I didn't backup Windows only OS X with Time Machine)
    Thanks

In fact I've already tried with Ext3 and exFAT, but it didn't work. Even only erasing without creating a new partition doesn't work.
I already have the driver for read/write on NTFS

You moved Windows to higher number.
Okay , but I just want to remove the partition to a lower one, so He can see the OS, without having to reinstall the whole thing, is it possible ?

  • Satellite L750/04k missing operating system

Hi, well seems I am having an adventure with the toshiba.
Had to uninstall and reinstall drivers for the touchpad on/off function - display still not working.
TS advised value package needed - spend 2 + hours download 32 bit; when it didn't work another TS let me know as I had a 64 bit system I had to source download and extract that one so 3 plus hours later done this it failed.
Have to restore laptop to factory settings. TS closed; as part of their F Q&A they gave a guide how to 'restore'
    -turn off laptop.
-turn on laptop whilst holding the '0' key (next to the 9 key)
    - screen on laptop says 'Missing Operating System' top left corner and in bottom left corner 'HDD Recovery***'
No recovery disks were in the box when purchasing this laptop new in June of 2011.
Seems that I have continual issues with the functionality of the key board.
This was the same problem I experienced 2-3 weeks ago and was told it was a virus and had to correct this by clearing the system and reinstalling from backup.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. ... since it done this I have read the manual, tried to google toshiba support on the iphone no luck and spent the last 3 hours setting up my 'older' laptop to get some internet access going...

Seems you are referring to this thread:

The recovery CDs were not part of the package because you could create a own Recover disk using the Recover disk Creator.
Here is a FAQ how to run system restore on Toshiba Australian notebooks:
    http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/items/faq/71
If HDD recover is not possible, then you will need to use a Recover disk.
The missing recover disk could be ordered here.

  • Can't find (and possibly don't have) the -lglut -lGLU -lGL libraries... or at least when I try to compile a program, it returns with that error.  Any ideas (I really need to get this popgen program running on Lion)? Thx!

    Hi all,
I'm trying to compile a population genetic software program onto my Mac Lion.  It was originally compiled to Tiger and worked beautifully.  But now I'm getting an error  'library not found for -lglut', and now I'm trying to figure out how to download the library. I've installed the command line code for Xcode, and am thinking I possibly missed installing the libraries.  I could be very wrong here... all I know is that I'm no longer near the people I would ask to help me with this so I'm asking you!  Thanks in advance for any help!  I guess my questions are: 1) where can I download the glut (potentially OpenGL) libraries (if I don't have them already)? And 2) once downloaded, how do I install it so the makefile will compile my program (in terminal, not Xcode)? Cheers,

Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
'''Note:''' You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    #*'''Windows:'''
    #**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    #**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
#*'''Mac:''' Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
#*'''Linux:''' If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see [[Installing Firefox on Linux]]. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop Firefox download page], simply remove the folder ''firefox'' in your home directory.
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
Please report back to see if this helped you!

  • CLOSE_FORM is invalid, OPEN_FORM is missing

    Hi All,
There is a custom output type for a delivery which when triggered should print a form (SAP SCRIPT).
But when it is processed via a job (i.e. in background with dispatch time 1) it is not printing the form but still holding a green processed icon. Please note - this is not happening in case of all deliveries. Its giving an error "CLOSE_FORM is invalid, OPEN_FORM is missing".
But when those failed delivieries are processed manually in foregraound (with dispatch time as 4) the form is printed correctly.
Can anyone please guide me where exactly I should check for it as I debugged and could nto find anything wrong. Could nto get this error at all.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Namrata

    Hi,
I think that  the form does not exist. Actually  the forms must physically exist in the client.
You can achieve this by using Transaction code -> SE71 (copy the forms from client 000 to the current client)
Goto transaction code se71->Utilities - >Copy by client.
Then to if your problem isnt resolved ,then u should check which exception is triggered .for this u set a breakpoint
    for function module OPEN_FORM).
____R else u  use the form debugger___
Goto Transaction SE71->Utilities -> Activate debugger

  • My MacBook Pro can't send mail since Yosemite upgrade. I keep getting a message that the certificate is invalid, and it says that my account is "offline." This never happened before, very upset.

I upgraded to Yosemite yesterday afternoon on my MacBook Pro. It was an upgrade from the most recent Maverick version. I had already sent out several emails that day, but once the installation was complete, I couldn't send any mail at all. I kept getting this strange dialogue box that said the certificate for the server was invalid, and might be something "pretending" to be my server. It also keeps telling me that my email account is offline. The only account it shows as active is a Verizon POP account, but that doesn't work. I've tried using the Edit functions and the "doctor" functions, but they seem useless. I tried Help, but the instructions it gave included onscreen items I don't seem to have. This is awful, I've already missed deadlines and am desperate.

I have the same issue. My computer has also slowed down. I hope this isn't a malware. I haven't input my password into it, and dont know what I did to turn this on.
Hope someone else can give some insight

  • Error Message as START_FORM is invalid,OPEN_FORM is Missing

    HI Team,
When i am trying to create a Standard Order using Transaction VA01 and sales document type as OR,when the order is complete and i try to save i get the message as "Error Message as START_FORM is invalid,OPEN_FORM is Missing",look like a SAP SCRIPT issue ,i checked NACE transaction and looks like a PDF form is mentioned there but when i debug the code i get a FORM which is different than one maintained in NACE ,also when i try to look the form in Se71(the one which i got during debugging) i get the message as the Form is not available in Lnaguage EN.
Note sure why i get the message as " START_FORM is invalid,OPEN_FORM is Missing".
Can someone help me on this.
    Regards
    LK

    Hi,
    1. If you attempt to use a form that does not exist, OPEN_FORM or START_FORM returns an exception(FORM). If the application does not react to this exception and continues with printing, it terminates with the above-mentioned error.
    2. The error can also occur if form printing is implicitly terminated. This happens if a page has no subsequent page and further data is to be printed.
    Solution
    1. Check in Customizing whether the required form is stored for printing, and whether it exists (transaction SE71, form maintenance).
    2. Check whether all pages of your form have a subsequent page. This is often not the case, and the above error occurs when further pages are to be printed.
    3. Either a form is not defined for a print list used or an output device assigned to a list does not exist into your system.

  • Missing Operating System

I have a Lenovo T500 Thinkpad.  I turned off my laptop and now when I turn on the laptop I receive a message that states "Missing operating system". I do not have any recovery disk or install disk.  How do I fix this error?  The only thing that I have been able to access is via the blue ThinkVantage key.  I receive a screen that has a Startup Interrupt Menu with three options.  ESC to resume normal startup, F1 to enter the BIOS Setup Utility or F12 to choose a temporary startup device.  I see the messages where the drives are partitioned and I should be able to set back to factory standards somehow, but I sure don't know how to even begin. Can anyone help me, as I am clueless.
    Thank you

Hi kew659 and welcome to the forum!
Per support page, your T500 came with Win XP pro. Even if you contact lenovo to buy recovery discs, I think they would only sell you Win XP media.
Try following, it will work if you had a good recovery partition of Vista or XP:- http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS013955
Maliha (I don't work for lenovo)
    ThinkPads:- T400[Win 7], T60[Win 7], IBM 240[Win XP]
    IdeaPad: U350
    Apple:- Macbook Air [Snow Leopard]
Did someone help you today? Compliment them with a Kudos!
