Formula parameter in Work Center for 'Costing' tab
Hi all
In the 'costing' tab of the Work center I am using a formula which uses the operation quantity ' which has field name 'MGVRG'. Is there a way I can use an alternate unit of measure as an operation quanity in the formula? Let us say my Routing is defined in Cases and my operation qty is is in cases but I want to pass on the alternate unit of measure LB which is defined in the Material Master. Is there a way I can do it.

Hi John,
Not sure if i have understood your query correctly, but when you click on test forumla in the work center it does not display the UoM, so here you can pass the UoM as per your need. In OP52, for SAP_09 you can verify the same.
If my understanding is not correct, please let me know.

Data is not showing Under work center for any tabs

Initialed EHp1 and done initial and basic configuration using Transaction SOLMAN_SETUP successfully.
SMD + wily installed successfully in satellite system system
I can see the satellite system data in Introscope Webview
Extractor Framework jobs are running fine.
But for under Transaction solman_workcenter-> Root cause analysis -> workload, trace analysis etc no data is showing.
1) Under workload analysis -> P07 Enterprise portal ->J2ee
it's saying that no application data found and for some tabs empty (just white) screen is showing.
2) Under workload analysis -> P07 Enterprise portal ->Host
Itu2019s giving "Error loading template 0TPL_0SMD_MPEH_WA_Q0018_H"
I am able to see only one graph i.e. under workload analysis -> overview tab.
I have found one warning for managing system for Extractor banned /inconsistent under Extractor FWK administration.

In SMSY my settings are with old version i.e producte version is solution manager 7.0, i think i need to create again System and logical component by selecting produt name as SAP Solution Manager EHP1.
Do you think this could be a problem because i got inconsistency for extractor jobs for managing system under Extractor FWK administration.
in my system BI client is already activated in 001 client.
and how can we indentify whether Bi client is setup and activated.

Formula key is used for calculating the execution time of an activity or for calculating capacity requirements or for calculating costs of a work center's activity type. It can be configured in transaction code OP54.
What is the activity type description you are using?

Tables to retrieve work center for target costs
Dear all,
currently i developing a report which requires me to display the work centers and their target and actual hours and costs. I tried using production order link tables but they only show work centers that are related to planned costs. May i know which tables can i refer to, in order to retrieve work centers that contribute to the target costs?

[ Note: For Client --> It's not necessary that each Equipment has Production Order, Few Equipments are taken only for Repair purpose, Equipment is there in table - EQUI,
So - Not possible to fetch from AUFK, HIKO or any other order tables. ]
EQUZ-GEWRK has the main work center. Pass the equipment number and valid-to date to get the main work center.

Work center planned cost calculation- PM related
i have created a work center with t-code ir01, used in Maintenance order under operations tab. In cost tab, it is not showing Planned costs of the pm order. Please advise what are check ups or config settings should be done? Thanks.

first kindly check whtether you have defined value categories, grouped the calue value categories then specified the defualt values categories for order,
then plan for activity type and cost center specified in workcenter in KP26,
also check whether you have specified the formula in the work center costing tab page

Error " No working/operating time maintained in work center for scheduling"
Hello Friends,
When i am scheduling the planned order than in scheduling log, system throwing the error "No working/operating time maintained in work center for scheduling".
Message no. C7014
But in workcenter, i have attached the grouping and in interval and shift for the available capacity 1, i have maintained the shifts.
According i can see the capacity on that workcenter in CM01.
Same error i am getting when i am scheduling the routing and check the scheduling log.

How to connect MAPL and PLPO to derive work center for planned order

MitaliI guess u r trying to view the detail scheduling info (tab in MD13) for a planned order . In that case -
1. Go to PLAF and enter the planned order number. (PLAF-PLNUM) and get the ID of the capacity requirements record (PLAF-BEDID).
2. With this PLAF-BEDID go to KBED. pass the value here. KBED-BEDID. The KBED-ARBID values are your work center ID.
3. To get the work center texts ( the way is appears in the screen) - Pass this value to CRHD . CRHD-OBJTY = 'A' ( i.e Type work center) and CRHD-OBJID = KBED-ARBID.
Hope it solves ur prob.

More than one work center for one operation

Is it posssible to assign more than one work center to one operation,in a maintenance order?
for example if head fitter and helper has executed maint.activity,how we can do this

You cannot assign more then one workcenter to a one operation.
But you can assign to a sub operation,i.e to operation one workcenter and to suboperation anotherworkcenter.
For Sub-operation:
Go to task list change >>> Operation tab.
Let say your first operation number is 0010. Then below it for next operation change operation number to 0010 and next to it there is field for sub-operation give there number 0001 or 0010 as per your requirement. Select suitable control key and work center, give description and press enter. your sub operation 0001 will be created for operation 0010.

Cost centers are used to track where cost occur in the organization.
As costs are incurred, they are assigned or posted to the appropriate cost center.
The posting and assignment of costs to cost centers is a critical step in using the CO module.
Cost centers are organized in a Standard Hierarchy.
The Cost Center Standard Hierarchy is used to structure the cost centers in an organization.
All cost centers must be entered in the Standard Hierarchy.
To display the standard hierarchy follow the menu path:
Accounting ->Controlling ->Cost Center Accounting ->Master data ->Standard Hierarchy ->Display
Work center its specific to which application you are using.
Logistics - General (LO)
An organizational unit that defines where and when an operation must be performed.
The work center has an available capacity. The activities performed at or by the work center are valuated by charge rates, which are determined by cost centers and activity types. Work centers can be:
Machines
People
Production lines
Groups of craftsmen
Quality Management (QM)
A place at which inspections are conducted.
In the SAP System, work centers are entered in the inspection operations. Several inspection characteristics can be inspected for each work center or inspection operation.
Warehouse Management
A physical unit in the warehouse, in which warehouse activities such as packing, distribution, and weighing, can be performed.

If more than one work center used for single internal activity how can work center be allocated ?
Hi Yogesh,
I understand that, you have a project activity in which different groups of people are working and you want to plan costs for all these groups of employees under the same project activity.
To achieve this, create different activity elements under that activity and assign specific WCs and Work duration to all these activity elements so that system will calculate aggregated costs and scheduling dates accordingly.

How do I create a new Work Center for the transaction launcher and links

The requirement here is for me to find out if I can create a new Work Center that will contain up to 6 assignment blocks and each block having either links to websites and BW reports, or triggers to R/3 applications via the transaction launcher.
Can I do this purely through customising or do I need to create a new view using BSPs? If I can do it through customising please could I have a few pointers to what component I would need to use/copy?

Just so I understand, if I want to show a work center I need to link it to a component / view? I think this was the original query - do I need a developer to create the view that contains the 6 blocks with their links to reports, transactions and websites? I think when I talk about blocks I mean 1 viewset containing 6 views. There is no SAP standard view that would suit my requirements is there? Even if the work center had 8 views, I can always hide the two views in configuration.
After the developer has created the view, I then reference that component in the target Id in the define logical links section of my work center.
If my understanding is right, then it follows that it is not possible to create a user specific work center without some development.
Is this correct?

Input is Order Number (AUFNR).
You can find the Basic End date of Order in Table AFKO, filed is GLTRP.
For work center in Operations, you can use the Table AUFPL from AFKO.
Pass this AUFPL in AFVC and get the ARBID.
Then pass this ARBID to CRHD Table as OBJID, and get the work Center (ARBPL)

Logical link / Work center for directly accessing "Business Activities"
Hi All,
We are upgrading from CRM 5.0 to CRM 2007. One unique challenge that I have encountered is the access to search, change or create - BUSINESS ACTIVITIES (Leading Transaction category: BUS2000126) in the CRM Web UI. We would like to directly access Business activities through a work center -> Logical link or a Logical link, in the SALESPRO business role.
This is available in the IC_AGENT business role. But you need to create a preceding Interaction record and then create a followup activity -> Business activity. We do not want to do this. We want to be able to access the business activites directly. For example, Leads and Opportunities can be accessed directly through the work Center: "Sales Cycle".
Does anyone know if there is a work center that I can use in SALESPRO business role that will give me direct access to Business Activities . I can use the transaction launcher to access the HTML version of the winclient transaction (T Code: (CRMD_BUS2000126) but I do not want to use the transaction launcher. Any ideas?Well I am pretty Serious?!!!
The standard SAP delivered "ACTIVITIES" WORK CENTER has the following Logical links for CREATE:
Activity
Activity Scheduling
Activity Template
Appointment
E-Mail
Interaction Log
Task
Visit Plan
And when you use the Activity create - you ONLY have the option to create:
Interaction log - Channel report
Interaction log - Partner report
Task - Approve
Task - Recurring Task
I would expect to see more than this. There are other BUS2000126 Business Activity transaction types which are enable to be maintained online in SPRO. But they do not show up here. I can use the Search - Activity logical link and then use Activity Type to find the other Transaction types. But not in Create. I can control the transaction types that can be displayed for Leads and Opportunities. It doesn't seem to work for Activities!!!!
Is this part of standard CRM 2007 SALESPRO delivered role functionality??? I have SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW and have access to the other Business activities in my security role. My Ophthamologist did confirm that my eyes are doing fine so far. So this has something to do with the way this 'Work Center' has been designed. Apart physiological/anatomical impediments what am I missing???
