Formulars with pictures in numbers

Hello,
I need help... I´m creating a list with contacts in numbers and I want that when I´m choosing a name from a list that in a different cell automaticly the picture of the person appears. I was trying arround with the look up formulars but it´s not working with pictures.... Who can help me???

Images cannot be manipulated with formulas, they are the background for the cell. And "choosing a name from a list" has to be done with a checkbox or some other means that can be noticed by a formula, selecting a cell with a mouse click will not cause anything to happen.
With those two things in mind, you can get the effect you are after. I'll assume a checkbox will be used and it will be in column A, starting at row 2 (i.e., cell A2 of Table 1).
Create another table for the photos. Use a plain table, no headers. Three columns.
Cell A1 of your new table will have the formula =Table 1::A2 . Fill this down to the end of the table.
I recommend you do something similar in column B to copy the persons' last & first names.
Column C will contain the photos as background images.
Hide column A.
Resize the table cells so the photos are the size you want.
Use Reorganize to set a filter for "show rows where column A is TRUE"
When you check a checkbox in your table (i.e., select a person), the person's photo and name will show up in the other table.
I suggested having the name next to the photo so you can more easily put the correct photo for each person in the table. Otherwise it will be difficult to put the photos in the right places.
I did not hide the column of names so that, if you have selected more than one person, the name appears next to each. You may or may not want that.

If the pictures are still on your phone, they may be in a different location as the camera roll and photo stream albums were removed in iOS 8. This explains the new photos locations: Get help finding your Photos in iOS 8.
Don't know about your numbers. If you mean your contacts, if they were syncing with iCloud check iCloud.com to see if they are sill there.

Select the menu item "Insert > Choose", then navigate to the file... OR
Start in the Finder with the Numbers window in view, then drag the files you want to put in your Numbers doc into Numbers

Motion and particles with pictures in sequence

In Motion I:
I remember seeing a clip on the Apple site (the old Motion I features) that used pictures in sequence as particles. The narrator had a series of cars that were particles (several dozen) that formed a lower section of the screen. I would like to do this with pictures of my own. Any suggestions?

Sure - use Photoshop to rename all your pictures with sequential numbers - then you'll be able to open them as one image sequence clip in Motion - make particles with that clip.

Have you moved Pages from its installed location? Or just dragged a copy to your current system?
It can't find some of its resources apparently.

You can't, simply. An iPhoto Slideshow can only draw from a single library, so you'll need to get all the images into one.
Alternatives to iPhoto's slideshow include:

It's difficult to compare these apps. They have differences in capability - some are driven off templates. some aren't. Some have a wider variety of transitions. Others will have excellent audio controls. It's worth checking them out to see what meets your needs. However, there is no doubt that Final Cut Pro X is the most capable app of them all. You get what you pay for.

Visual voicemail is a carrier feature, contact your cell phone provider and see if it is set up for you to use.

When a new album is created it will fill with whatever is in the right hand window, If you're in the Events or Photos mode it will contain all photos in the library. Yes, strange behavior.

You want 2 numbers, then use Google Voice or TalkaTone
Those are US based only Apps or numbers so no good. I won't be wasting money by just trying something either, especially because using a dual sim would mean purchasing another sim card on either pay as you go or monthly contact.

the free apps are only for ios device (iphone ipad ipod touch) and do not work on mac computers. if you do get pages and numbers on your mac though you can sync the information using icloud

How can I save a folder with pictures in it, on PC or MAC? (Not Camera Roll)

Dear Apple Community,
I want to save a Folder with pictures in it, that I created from the iPhone.. these photos (and videos) are available only in this folder and I don't want to loose them at all!
Whatever, how can I save this folders on my mac? and/or PC? And I don't mean the camera roll folder! Just this folder that I created on the iPhone.

Not supported by Apple. The only photos that can be imported from an iPhone are photos in the camera roll.

If there is a backup somewhere that had her data you can restore that backup. Otherwise, all her data has been overwritten by yours.

Problem with pictures in pages 5 and epub

I have been using pages 09 to make epubs for the last 6 months with happy results.
My new macbook pro came in the mail and I have some problems.
I have figured out how to do all the text formatting, including titles/chapter names, etc. on pages 5.
My problems is with pictures.
In the past, I would click view, then show invisibles, so I could see where the chapter marks are to insert my picture in a particular spot.
The old pages, was great, and the pic showed up right where I wanted it, and that was the end of the story.
New Pages, just throws the picture on the page and then forces me to select a variety of options as far as telling it how I want the picture to display.
This would be no big deal if I only had one or two pics to deal with, but I have tons of pics that need to be inserted in pages and exported to epub.
Does anyone know an easy way to tell pages 5 to just put the picture where I am telling it!
Any advice would be appreciated.
Also, one negative on pages 09 is that you could only have a certain amount of pics/chapter, otherwise they would not show up in the exported epub.
Anyone know if pages 5 suffers from the same absurdity or if you can insert as many pics as you want/chapter.

A related issue.
I had been using pages 4.1.
When I would take a pic plucked from a pdf and put it into pages and then exported to epub, it compressed the file about 80% like it should.
I ditched pages 5 and went to pages 4.3 (which looked identical to my old pages 4.1.
For whatever reason when I take the same pdf pic and put it into pages and export to epub, instead of compressing by 80%, it is actually expanding the file by 700%.
The original image is identical in both cases, but pages 4.3 doesn't compress upon export to epub.
Any suggestions?

Close and restart Photoshop if you have not already done so.
In Photoshop, go to the Help - About Plug-in... menu then choose Camera Raw. What version does it say there?

First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive might be failing.
There are a few other possible causes of generalized slow performance that you can rule out easily.
Reset the System Management Controller.
If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.
If applicable, uncheck all boxes in the iCloud preference pane.
Disconnect all non-essential wired peripherals and remove aftermarket expansion cards, if any.
Check your keychains in Keychain Access for excessively duplicated items.
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way you launched Activity Monitor. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Select the 50 or so most recent entries in the log. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). You're looking for entries at the end of the log, not at the beginning.
