Forte Link for Rational Rose 2001 from Xpedior

Hi,
Does someone know the prices for Forte Link from Expedior ? I have
downloaded and tested the evaluation version from Xpedior from Australia.
But after closing the Australian office I cannot get any information from
Xpedior.

  • Url link for download on LMS from Common services

    Hello, i would like to reported a major thing that appeared on 3-4 customers.
    The download action is not never possible when they try it from the LMS portal/Common Services/Software update.
    The url loaded on browser Internet(eg IE 7.0) add the character | on the link when it proceed after the authentication on the CISCO.COM web site.
    The worst is that when i did it from my lab's machine,it works fine even the bad entries. We have traced it with a sniffer.
    From an IE directly (outside the LMS so), the page is not displayed as she is not matched with W3C recomendations.
    A Doctype tag is not a DTD XHTML 1.0 one.
    Hereafter , the URL:
    http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Software/WLAN/cwselectfile.cgi?bp=1&&SEARCH=nmim||1.6.0||Software%20Packages|||&FORMAT=XML
    On the other side, when a proxy is installed on this machine , it has been refused as well, as the proxy controls that.
    Thanks by advance.Richard.

    The caracters | are not allowed by the XML validator.
    The url link has been finished when he meet this kind caracters.
    So it means , that , maybe it has been inserted for stopping the entries, when a bad username has been typed.

  • PDF contains links for $nopage index entries

    I'm using FM6 under Windows XP, and I just discovered that PDF generated by FM
    includes live links for index entries generated from markers using the $nopage
    directive. As a result, an index entry like "see also Frobnication" links to
    the page containing the index marker, which is nonsensical. This has turned up
    in three books we're converting to PDFs for electronic consumption, and there
    are hundreds of affected index entries. Does anybody know of a way to get FM to
    not generate links in the PDF for $nopage entries?
    Thanks,
    Scott

    Hypertext activity can be suppressed for the entire index (not recommended), but not for specific markers. <$nopage> suppresses the page number, but the link is created nevertheless.<br /><br />It it possible to use a "workaround" where the addition of a character format to the See/See Also index markers will serve to limit the link active area (making it very small, even though technically it is still present). <br /><br />For example, the Index marker text would be:<br /><$nopage><min> </>Third, <Emphasis>see Second[Third]<br /><br /><min> is a character format (should be present in the Index file), such as: all As Is, Size: 2 pt, Family: Arial Narrow, Stretch: 10%.<br />Index term has to be repeated in square brackets, as otherwise the term would be sorted incorrectly because of the tiny space added in front of it.<br /><br />A better approach is to have links pointing to the "See" terms within the index.<br />See http://www.sundorne.com/FrameMaker/IndexRef/indexref.htm for information about a plug-in that helps fix the links created by See/See Also references, so that they point to the appropriate terms within the index (through cross-references) rather than to the source markers.<br /><br />Shlomo Perets<br /><br />MicroType, http://www.microtype.com * ToolbarPlus Express for FrameMaker<br />FrameMaker/Acrobat training & consulting * FrameMaker-to-Acrobat TimeSavers/Assistants

  • Re: Rational Rose product and Forte

    We use Forte 3.0 with Rational Rose 4.0 since more than one year on a
    medium size project (10 developers). I have not tried Rose98 with Forte,
    so what I have to say may or may not apply to Rose98.
    In general I am very satisfied with the Forte support of Rose. The code
    generation facilities are sophisticated. For example from one attribute
    in Rose you can generate a virtual attribute and the corresponding get
    and set methods which implement the virtual attribute. You can even
    change the naming conventions (how to generate the name of get and set
    methods). You can also model all components of a Forte application like
    interfaces, events, eventhandlers, constants, domain types etc.
    Since access to the Forte repository is difficult, Rose does not read
    from or write to the repository. Instead you must export a plan as a
    .pex file, regenerate the plan from Rose and reimport the generated file
    into Forte. Rose correctly preserves the code that you have written as
    well as other information like GUI layout etc. Nevertheless this process
    is a bit tedious and prone to errors.
    Rose can import a Forte .pex and produce a model from it ("reverse
    engineering"). This works O.K. but I use it only on small prototypes
    that I developed in Forte to get a "first cut" of a model. The analyzer
    has only a few global options (for example whether you want to model
    object-valued attributes as associations or as attributes). In addition
    it names all attribute types and method parameters with fully qualified
    class names so that your methods tend to have very long signatures like
    Add(input source:Framework.IntegerData):Framework.IntegerData
    instead of
    Add(source:IntegerData):IntegerData
    On the other hand Rose generates correct Forte code if you use the short
    form in your model. So I use Rose mainly for forward generation.
    I find the combination of Rose with Forte very valuable, mostly because
    Forte does not allow a convenient documentation of plans, classes and
    attributes.
    If you have additional questions, I will be happy to answer them.

    I'm having the same problem. The last version of Forte known to work with Rose is Forte 3.0, but I can't find that version for download.

    Eric,
    As part of tool evaluation for modeling, We evaluated Rational Rose 98i . We
    were able to import forte pex files into Rose model.
    We had no problems with reverse engineering but there were problems related to
    round trip engineering.
    Since Rational Rose 98i did not have a repository based solution for
    configuration management, it was quite a task to keep the model in sync with
    multiple users updating it. However, I believe you can use Microsoft Source
    safe for configuration management though we did not try this.

  • Gather information from form fields, sort into links for searching

    I have a PDF Acrobat form that I email to about 100 people, they return the completed forms to me and I put all the forms together into a single PDF.This removes the form fields, but leaves the form information that was filled out.
    I need to set up an easy way for people to navigate and search the forms by several criteria: a person's name, their country of origin, company name, and so forth. Other than manually creating links for each of these search criteria, is there a more efficient way?

    You can export the data form the PDF using the FormDataIntegration service.
    Once you have the data in xml format, you can use a setValue and concatenate the value of the two nodes you're interested in.

  • Rational Rose TopLink Integration

    I'm about to start a new project hosted on OAS and looking for Object-Relational Mapping Tools.
    I want to follow a Model Driven Architecture (MDA) methodology, using UML as the master definition of the persistent model.
    The questions I need to know about Oracle TopLink is as follows :-
    i) Does a project generated from Rational Rose work with Oracle TopLink
    ii) Does Oracle offer an alternative modelling tool.
    ii) Does Oracle TopLink provide an incremental DDL generation tool, i.e. only generating alter statements to existing schema

  • TOC in PDF does not include Link OBJR tags when exported from InDesign

    I'm using InDesign CS6 to export a book file to a tagged PDF. When I run the accessibility checker in Acrobat 9, I get errors about items not being contained in the Structure tree. These missing items are links for the TOC and the Index page numbers. When I look at the tags, the Link OBJR tag is missing for these elements. I can't possibly manually add them all in. Other links e.g. cross-references, hyperlinks, automatically include these Link OBJR tags when exported. Why does the TOC and Index not do so?
    I've asked this question in the InDesign Forum and no one seems to know. If I don't put these tags in, what does that mean for accessibility of the document?
    Thanks for your help

    Glad you found something that worked.  For the future ... I found that if you create the PDF from BOOK and following these steps you can get the hyperlinks to automatically tag.  This will work if you are getting editable hyperlink boxes for the TOC -- I find that it is creating these (although I could swear it didn't earlier).  Anyway:
    1. Select all chapters in the book and create PDF with hyperlinks and bookmarks. Save as TEST.PDF
    2. Open the PDF and in the Pages Panel extract the page or pages containing the the TOC from the PDF.  Save this as TOCtest.pdf
    3. Delete the Tags from the TOCtest.pdf file --  in the Tags Panel, select the Root tag, right click and select delete
    4. Select Add Tags to Document to this same file.
    5. Examine the tags to see if all the OBJLINKs are tagged. Repeat steps 3 and 4 again (sometimes it doesn't autotag correctly the first time).  You may have to manually correct some of the structure -- headings and/or artifacts on these pages.
    6. Save again.
    7. Go back to the main document TEST.PDF -- delete the TOC page or pages from that document (assuming you didn't when you extracted.)
    8. On the pages panel, Insert from file and choose TOCtest.pdf -- insert before the first page.
    9. This will bring in the newly tagged TOC and it's tags HOWEVER the tags will be out of order in the tags panel. They will be at the bottom and you will need to find them and MOVE them where they should be.
    Still more effort than you should have to but it worked for me.
    Not sure how to record a bug with Adobe, but my testing in CS5 shows that this is NOT a new problem.  CS5.5 did the same thing for me.

  • Remove link for uploaded files in application

    Hi all,
    I've been following the tutorial on how to upload and download files in application at http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B32472_01/doc/appdev.300/b32469/up_dn_files.htm. I have now created my own table which stores the uploaded files and can download them successfully. I would now like to add the ability to delete these files within the application and was wondering what the best way of doing this was?
    I would like to add another column to the displayed report with a 'Remove file' link for each listed file, which when clicked would delete the file from the table. I've already tried using a similar method to the one used to upload the files (instead of uploading the file, the called procedure deletes it from the table using the specified ID), but this causes the application to display a blank page when the link is clicked, which I dont want (but does delete the file).
    I would appreciate any suggestions.

  • LabVIEW for ARM 2009 Read from text file bug

    Hello,
    If you use the read from text file vi for reading text files from a sdcard there is a bug when you select the option "read lines"
    you cannot select how many lines you want to read, it always reads the whole file, which cause a memory fault if you read big files!
    I fixed this in the code (but the software doesn't recognize a EOF anymore..) in CCGByteStreamFileSupport.c
    at row 709 the memory is allocated but it tries to allocate to much (since u only want to read lines).
    looking at the codes it looks like it supposed to allocated 256 for a string:
    Boolean bReadEntireLine = (linemode && (cnt == 0));
    if(bReadEntireLine && !cnt) {
      cnt = BUFINCR;    //BUFINCR=256
    but cnt is never false since if you select read lines this is the size of the file!
    the variable linemode is also the size of the file.. STRANGE!
    my solution:
    Boolean bReadEntireLine = (linemode && (cnt > 0));  // ==
     if(bReadEntireLine) {    //if(bReadEntireLine && !cnt) {
      cnt = BUFINCR;
    and now the read line option does work, and reads one line until he sees CR or LF or if the count of 256 is done.
    maybe the code is good but the data link of the vi's to the variables may be not, (cnt and linemode are the size of the file!)
    count should be the number of lines, like chars in char mode.
    linemode should be 0 or 1.
    Hope someone can fix this in the new version!
    greets,
    Wouter
    Wouter.
    "LabVIEW for ARM guru and bug destroyer"

    I have another solution, the EOF works with this one.
    the cnt is the bytes that are not read yet, so the first time it tries to read (and allocate 4 MB).
    you only want to say that if it's in line mode and cnt > 256 (BUFINCR) cnt = BUFINCR
    the next time cnt is the value of the bytes that are not read yet, so the old value minus the line (until CR LF) or if cnt (256) is reached.
    with this solution the program does not try to allocate the whole file but for the max of 256.
    in CCGByteStreamFileSupprt.c row 705
     if(linemode && (cnt>BUFINCR)){
       cnt = BUFINCR;
    don't use the count input when using the vi in line mode. count does not make sense, cnt will be the total file size. also the output will be an array.
    linemode seems to be the value of the file size but I checked this and it is just 0 or 1, so this is good
    update: damn it doesn't work!
    Wouter.
