Forum account registration form problem

The forum registration question is one of the weirder ones I have ever seen. It is also specific to one platform. (Does it accept GNU/Linux, for example?)
I did ran into a technical problem with the form itself. After having completed the riddle, I pasted the result and then pressed Enter. My answer was rejected. I went back and forth a few times before I found the problem: I had to click the Register button instead of pressing the Enter key to submit the form.
Could the already difficult registration process at least be made keyboard accessible, please?

bulletmark, thank you for confirming. I had a friend confirm the issue as well.
I am using Firefox 25.
Just to clarify how the problem happens:
1. Fill in the form
2. Fill in the geek test answer
3. Press Enter while focus is still in the last input field (the geek test)
Error message claiming the answer was incorrect,
4. Fill in the geek test answer
5. Click the Register button
Profit.

  • User registration form problem

    I'm having trouble with a Dreamweaver form that uses the
    built-in insert record feature. I've successfully implemented this
    on my server before, but this time, after a user completes and
    submits the registration form, their info is added to the database
    table but they just see the registration page again. I've defined a
    unique page to go to after registration but this still happens. If
    the user tries to login, they are able to do that, the problem only
    takes place on the registration side.

    What server language are you using?
    Could you post the registration code?

  • Can't set up forum account

    I tried helping set up an account for some friends and on my son's computer so that they can join the Mac forums but no matter how many ways and times we've tried filling out the online registration form it doesn't work.
    I'm also getting emails from other people, who read my other posting on this problem which I posted in a different place on the forum, and they are having the same problem.
    It makes me wonder how many other people out there are in the same Catch 22 situation.
    I hope someone out there can help. I know that a lot of people who can't post their own questions will be checking for responses to this posting.

    Hi Kevin,
    Could you post exactly the problem you encounter?
    And before you attempt to create a new Apple Account, delete the Apple Cookies, and clear the Cache of the browser you are using.

    I re-intalled and reregistered my Photoshop CS2 according to instructions but the registration screen appears every time I open.  How do I stop it

    Hi,I need help
    My question was answered with another question which I answered in the affirmative. then the forum  showed that my problem was solved, not so. I deactivated and re activated my licensed cs2 as directed and the registration form re appears every time I open.
    Adobe directed me to the forum for a solution to my problem because they no longer support cs2. ????
    Thanks for hearing my problem

  • FIX ACCOUNT REGISTRATION. Missing Zip code (a required field) prevents registration.

    Your in-store clerk neglected to enter my zip code.
    Clicking the account registration link in the welcome email leads to a form for me to complete.
    There is a NON-EDITABLE section above the form, showing a blank zip code.
    Submitting the form results in an error message saying zip code is required.
    But there is no zip code form field for me to edit.
    Therefore the registration signup flow is BROKEN.
    Please fix this.
    If it's faster to fix my account behind the scenes I'm {removed per forum guidlines} and the zip code should be {removed per forum guidelines}.

  • Help With Registration Form

    Hi
    I have created a registration form, where on the first page
    the user enters a user name and password, then they go to the next
    page where they enter their name. This then goes to the next page
    where they enter their address, then there contact details.
    But I want all these details to go on to a page where they
    can review their details, then press a submit button which inserts
    the data into a mysql db.
    But I need help with how I do this?
    I have created the following Java script in the body. Or
    should it be in the header? Or on another form? to insert their
    details:-
    <% Insert Data %>
    <jrun:sql datasrc="regift">
    INSERT INTO account VALUES ('<%=
    request.getParameter("User_Name").trim() %>',
    '<%= request.getParameter("Password").trim() %>',
    INSERT INTO name VALUES ('<%=
    request.getParameter("First_Name").trim() %>',
    '<%= request.getParameter("Last_Name").trim() %>'
    INSERT INTO address VALUES ('<%=
    request.getParameter("House_Number").trim() %>',
    '<%= request.getParameter("Street").trim() %>',
    '<%= request.getParameter("Town").trim() %>',
    '<%= request.getParameter("County").trim() %>',
    '<%= request.getParameter("Postcode").trim() %>'
    INSERT INTO contact_details VALUES ('<%=
    request.getParameter("Email_Address").trim() %>',
    '<%= request.getParameter("Telephone_Number").trim()
    %>'
    </jrun:sql>
    Is this correct?
    Thanks for all your help, Lou.

    Your code is correct only for the first page. What you need
    to do after the
    initial record is entered is grab its ID and then on
    subsequent pages you
    would use and UPDATE sql statement

  • Event registration form

    Is there a way that I can create an event registration form were users log in and post an event through a registration form then use a seperate page to search those events for results. They should be displayed in a table structure with submit and search buttons and multiple registration and search fields.

    How good are you with server-side programming and databases?  If you're good with backend coding, visit the Application Development Forum for help.

    As an alternative to hand coding, you might use WordPress with an event registration plug-in.

  • Desperate for help: ADDT registration form

    New to ADTT and back again with another, more urgent problem.
    I have used ADDT to create a registration page, using UPDATE instead of INSERT (this is necessary because the users are already in our system as contacts).  To accomplish this I had to do some hand coding and I fear I may have gone awry.  Initially I kept getting a blank page with the message "error: internal server" message when the page loaded...currently I get "Fatal error: Call to a member function addField() on a non-object in /home/agciorg/public_html/events/2009/259/users_Registration.php on line 33."  Now I can no longer open the registration page in Dreamweaver -- freezes DW everytime.  So I'm trying to edit in Text Edit to get it back to a functioning page.  I've already rebuilt the page from scratch twice trying to get things to work and I'm on a major time crunch and just can't afford to do it again.  Below is the current code (I've also attached the php file as a .txt)...any help in resolving my issue would be much, MUCH appreciated!

    <!-----------------end registration form----------------->

    Actually if you do not need a public registration form, its much more practical to use the "Create Dynamic List" and "Create Dynamic Form" behaviors in your site administration back end. And it really only takes about two minutes to set up.
    This will give you the ability to add, delete and edit all your users.

  • Customer registration form won't display in testing environment.

    Hi everyone,
    I am using DWCS3 with the free version of MAMP.
    I have put a customer registration form together and have just started to add the php $mailSent code.
    In design view everything seems to be o.k the three gold shields are displayed at the top of my page.
    However when I try to view the page in my local testing environment, the page doesn't display at all I just get a white screen. I was also getting an error message suggesting my site url's weren't mapped properly, or, my server wasn't serving pages with a .php extension.
    I checked my datetest page and that is displaying today's date, I also checked my phpinfo page and that is also displaying.
    I also checked that my site url's are mapped properly, I would say they are because my other site pages e.g. index page, links page, about page ect are opening up in my testing browser.
    I have added my code for anyone to take a look at;
    the 1st block of code I added at the top of the document before the <!DOCTYPE> (suggested in The Essential Guide to Dreamweaver CS3)
    the 2nd block of code is added just after the page's main heading.
    the 3rd line of code is added to the form action in the opening form tag.
    Could someone please help, as I am stumped.
    Thankyou.
    <?php
    if (array_key_exists('send', $_POST)) {

    $name = $_POST['name'];
    $email = $_POST['email'];
    $postcode = $_POST['postcode'];
    //build the message
    $message = "Name: $name\n\n";
    $message .= "Email: $email\n\n";
    $message .= "Postcode: $postcode";
    //limit line length to 70 characters
    $message = wordwrap($message, 70);
    //send it
    $mailSent = mail($to, $subject, $message);

    Sorry, I can't help with your question, I'm not a php guru  :-)   but you may want to edit out that email address if it's a live one - it will get hit by the bots if left here too long !

  • Muse CC 2014 contact web forms problems

    Hi I recently created a website using muse cc 2014 and I uploaded it to the hosting server a free one at freehosting.com I set up everything I know of and when I uploaded the site using muse it gave a error message saying something about PHP mail??? I setup the mail account for my admin user and entered that in the muse contact form. If I test the contact form I do not get the messages and I even added a email to have it forwarded to my yahoo account. If I go in my email account and enter the hosting email account I however do see the message on the server's webmail page and it gets forwarded to the email I set to be the forward email. I checked everything and I'm really confused as what needs to be done. I also submitted a ticket asking customer service they have yet to respond. To note I'm using a free hosting company as it's just a personal website that I don't need all the fancy stuff just the basic needed components to make it work. my website does show up and the pages work EXCEPT the contact form which is needed and important. I ran the script and this is the results
    PHP Version - OK
    mail configured incorrectly
    SQL configuration problem
    The last two  items I really don't understand what is the problem
    Im using Cpanel and here is some basic info on the  host server. Please help me. Thanks
    Hosting package
    Free Website
    Server Name
    customers
    cPanel Version
    11.44.0 (build 16)
    Theme
    x3
    Apache version
    2.4.9
    PHP version
    5.4.26
    MySQL version
    5.5.37-cll
    Architecture
    x86_64
    Operating system
    linux
    Shared IP Address
    Path to sendmail
    /usr/sbin/sendmail
    Path to Perl
    /usr/bin/perl
    Perl version
    5.10.1
    Kernel version
    3.14.3
    cPanel Pro
    1.0 (RC1)

    What would be the fix or proper setup for the "SQL configuration problem?" I too am having form problems on a third party host, and after checking the PHP diagnostics, the "php version" reads ok, the "mail configuration" is ok, but the SQL configuration is not.
    I guess I just need to know what I need to communicate to the hosting administrator about the SQL so they will configure it properly.
    Thanks

  • Lookup field in self registration form

    I have added a user defined lookup field using Design View.
    I added the following attribute to FormMetaData.xml:
    <Attribute name="USR_UDF_LOCATION" label="global.udf.USR_UDF_LOCATION" displayComponentType="LookupField" map="USR_UDF_LOCATION" >

    The new lookup field is showing in 'Create User' and User modification forms but does not show in the Self registration form.
    I added the following to FormMetaData.xml under the SelfRegistrationUserForm section:
    <AttributeReference optional="false">USR_UDF_LOCATION</AttributeReference>

  • Help - pet registration form

    Hi, i have two tables: pet_owner and pet...trying to make a pet registration form....owner might have more than one pet.
    ho do i create a form with the owner's details at the top, then a drop down, how many pet would you like to register? [1][2][3] and depending on the selection made, 1, 2 or 3 sets of input fields appear below?
    similar to : http://www.virginvet.co.uk/register-your-pet.php
    this is making my head hurt.

    Your code is correct only for the first page. What you need
    to do after the
    initial record is entered is grab its ID and then on
    subsequent pages you
    would use and UPDATE sql statement

  • Flash Pro cs5.5, MySQL, login and registration form

    Hi.
    I just started to use Adobe Flash CS5.5 and i want to make my new homepage based on flash. Only problem at the moment is that i don't know how to make flash login and registration form what takes data from MySQL. I am messed with this about 3 days but without any results(form is done, but don't know how to make it communicate with MySQL).
    Sorry for my bad english.
    Can anybody please help me?
    Thanks in advance for helping.

    You should really start by some literature if you can't even draw a form. I don't mean to be cruel but otherwise you'll never learn flash. If you like the technology, start from the start like everybody else. If you'll have some questions, or will be confused about something you learned, I'll be happy to explain it to you. But don't expect people to program your app for you - this is not learning.
    You can start with adobe tv: http://tv.adobe.com/search/?q=flash&product=17&topic=0&version=10&sortby=relevancy
    Great page with tutorials: http://gotoandlearn.com/
    More tutorials: http://active.tutsplus.com/category/tutorials/
    Or you can find professional tutoring videos at www.lynda.com (but they are not free)

    I  recently put money on my itunes account but the problem is when i went to purchase music the credit card information needed to be deleted and i forgot the answers to my security questions what do i do? I was told by a friend of mine that all i had to do was call apple support and i would be able to re start the secruity answers.

    You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
