Forum app for N8?

Is there a good forum app for the N8? I've used tapatalk before but that's not available for the N8 it seems.

I just discovered that deleting a photo from the camera roll will also delete it from the created album. How stupid is that? So now, in order to not lose those photos, you have to maintain the camera roll as sort of a second master cache of pix. Isn't that what the "photo library" is for? Its typical though, one boneheaded feature away from being absolutely incredible!
Also...on another note, I wish they'd put the Bluetooth on/off toggle on the main page of settings. it uses so much battery that I am constantly turning it on and off. Is there any sort if "user suggestions" page here? And how about a forums app for crying out loud???

This isn't ideal, but the way I've started dealing with this is basically to manage what photos go to which folder on my computer. So I'll take a photo/video on my phone, at which point it will show up in Camera Roll, then I go home and plug my iphone in via USB (because you can't view your phone's photos on your computer via Wi-Fi... maybe you can with iPhoto, but I don't want to use that) and then move them into the folder where I want them to appear on my iPhone, which is inside the folder I use for syncing photos via iTunes. Then the photo can be deleted from Camera Roll and you'll still have it in the folder you want it in on your phone. Of course, then you can't delete it from you phone; since it's synced to your computer you have to remove the photo from the synced folder on your computer and then sync your phone in order to remove the photo from your phone, but for most people who don't walk around with naughty photos on their phone that may need to be deleted in a pinch, that shouldn't be a big deal.
That being said, I would love to be able to do all the photo-folder management I've just described without having to use my desktop as a middle-man.

There is no app, but you can get an RSS app from the app store and then subscribe to the RSS feed for this forum.

Can not view bill online or on app for over 3 months!

I have not been able to view mmy bill online or through my fios app for over 3 months now.
I am enrolled in auto-pay, but I do not get paper statements, so I can never see my charges before my bill is paid.
What is going on??? This is ridiculous!

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.

Make a flashlight App for Windows Phone 8.1 (TorchControl not supported)

I want to develop a simple flashlight app for Windows Phone 8.1 (non Silverlight). I used the TorchControl but it returns a false when i tried to run on my Device

Do any fellow iTunes U administrators know anything about this? How is existing content presented in the new app? Would we need to change anything? How do we access / make available the new features?
The new features sound fantastic but it would have been nice to have some warning. I appreciate that Apple has to keep specific details about developments confidential but it's slightly disconcerting that iTunes U administrators were not forewarned about this new development and that there has been no mention of it on this forum. Also - and at the risk of sounding like a broken record - it really would be helpful for iTunes U administrators to have a private forum (perhaps an add-on to Public Site Manager) where we could discuss issues and share ideas and best practice etc.

Setting up Remote Desktop Apps for access from a Mac with 2FA

Setting up Remote Desktop Apps for access from a Mac with 2FA.
I have a server 2012 remote access gateway, with remote apps published(which uses single signon), behind a 2FA connection (web based) and want to know if its possible to allow macs to connect to the remote Apps behind it. i cannot permanently remove any
of the above setup as it is a requirement.
When i connect from a mac i can login to both the 2FA and remote access web pages and see all the apps but when i click on any app it downloads it to the mac and when i try to run it using Remote Desktop App for MAC i get an error :
"httpendpointexception: 4, The non-proxy http connection failed to connect with the message: 500 internal Server Error."
I have tried with 2fa turned off for testing and get the same result.Does it support 2012 TSGW server? does it support Remote desktop apps? as i cant find a definitive answer on either.

Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
From Error description it seems to be a communication issue between your Mac and your RD gateway server. If you connect from extranet, you may need Remote Desktop Gateway or a VPN/Direct Access connection to your intranet, or forward port 3389 on your router.
500 Internal Server Error seems to be a HTTP related error.
The HTTP status code in IIS 7.0, IIS 7.5, and IIS 8.0
Also, please double check the settings if you have a RD gateway implemented in you intranet.

In Windows Server 2012 R2 RD Gateway pluggable authentication is also introduced. This allows custom authentication routines to be used with RD Gateway. For example building a two-factor solution on top of RD Gateway is now possible which allows doing token-authentication

App for iPhone stuck on "waiting", App for iPhone stuck on "waiting"

I have an iPhone 4 running the latest iOS version 5.1. I have two separate issues:
1. Within the last couple of weeks, I get the notification from App store that updates are available. I select the App for the store, select "update all" and all that happens is "waiting" which goes on and on. I did the search of the forum and tried everything suggested except restore. The only way I can get the App to download to my phone is to connect to my iMac and go through the whole thing of downloading App update to computer and then synching to iPhone. I see others have had the problem as well. I have changed nothing on my phone which used to do this function just fine over my wireless network.
2. The second issue which I have posted elsewhere is that when I make an appointment on my iphone in my iCloud calendar, it doesn't sync to my calendar on my iMac or on my iPad. I can make appointments on my iPad and they sync fine to both the iPhone and my iMac. Any appointment made on my iMac calendar syncs fine to both iPhone and iPad. I have been trying to fix this issue for weeks and have had zero success. I have tried pretty much everything suggested elsewhere in these forums and it hasn't helped. I did have brief success going into System Preferences on my iMac, unchecking calendar and then rechecking after a few minutes; but that only lasted a few hours. Ready for the experts!

Sorry, mate. Just realized my last reply was the correct answer for a different question. Most likely, your problem is caused by a corrupted music file (or cover art). Suggest the following process:
1. With your iphone connected to itunes, highlight the phone in the devices section, then go to "summary" tab and check the box to manually manage music and videos. This will wipe the phone of all your songs, ringtones, videos, photos and everything else other than apps.
2. Add music back either 5 or 10 artists at a time, or 1 playlist at a time. Keep doing this until the sync buggers up again. Same process for all other iphone content.
Alternatively, you can restore your iphone to its original settings, so you know that it is fully wiped and not the cause of your problem, then add back content as per above.

First, you posted in the Mac App Store forum which are apps for the Mac OS X, not iOS devices.
You do not need to re purchase your apps. Connect your iOS devices to your computer, launch iTunes. From the menu bar click Apps then click Sync

Twitter App. for 1st Gen. iPod Touch

I recently was having problems with the Twitter App. on my 1st Gen. iPod Touch and so decided to delete the app and re-download it again, like I had done a week earlier. During the download an error message popped up stating that I need ios 6 or later to download the app. Apple had updated the Twitter App on March 10th and I tried re-downloading March 14th, however a week earlier I was offered the opportunity to download an earlier version of Twitter. I am currently only able to use Twitter via Safari. Does anyone out there have a solution to get the official Twitter App. (And no "Buy a newer iPod stuff"!)

Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
Apple did not say why did not allow this option for iOS 3.1.3/1G iPod.

Refer to your router manual/manufacturer for any settings that are specific to that model.

Can't setup scan to email with google apps for your domain (HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 Printer)

Web interface (HPLIP installed on ubuntu 11.10, but problem is linked to web config.)
"The device could not send the test e-mail message. (EmailAccounts-timeout)" when going through the full setup, and "The device could not send the test e-mail message." when testing the account after creating it from the "Outgoing Email Profiles" tab.
No changes.
I can't cofigure the printer to send emails out using the email adress we have created exclusively for it with our domain name in Google Apps for your domain. The settings test ok for the email alerts.
I'm using these settings:
Server: smtp.google.com
Port: 587 (also tried 465)
username: [email protected]
good password, copied and pasted to make sure there are no typo's.
