I just ordered a new MAC PRO; I'm currently on a PowerPC. I use Office X. Since it doesn't work on Intel I just ordered Office 2008. Just found out that all my VBA macros for Excel won't work!
Is there a forum here that is appropriate for this issue? I have used Applescript. I have both sheet specific macros and global macros. I've pulled down Excel2004AppleScriptRef.pdf which contains over 460 pages of detail. I need some basic high level guidance re assigning macros to buttons etc. I also found (I think) that standard Excel functions are not accessible via Excel2004AppleScript but there is a workaround??
Any help re the correct discussion forum or other forums would be appreciated. I know I'm not the only one with this heartburn.

If you have questions concerning Performance Management make sure OSA is mentioned somewhere in the title or body. It seems the search finds this keyword the most reliant.
I weekly do a search to answer PA-PD-PM (OSA/ Performance Manager) questions.

Own Forum for Solution Manager

We are implementing the Change Request Manager part of the SAP Solution Manager, and are still navigating on the high seas.
So I had a look at the SDN if I can find some useful tips.
I found contributions in Web AS general, CRM, Netweaver Platform, Other SDN Questions, ...
Business Process Management (BPM) should be the right one, but it seems to be too generic for this complex and by its own nature difficult to isolate product.
So I suggest an own forum for the SAP Solution Manager, easy to be found by everybody, where all problems can be concentrated.

Until the Solution Manager Forum is up and running, I have a small question that I'm hoping you can help me with. I am currently evaluating Solution Manager as more than just a "technical communication channel" between client and SAP.
I would define my work tasks as being functional, and see a wonderful opportunity to use SolMan as the name of the product advertises: a solution manager (integration of the roadmap, IMG, business blueprint, project management, monitoring, help-desk, etc.). Where I work, this would translate into integration of the functional and technical personnel.
I've heard from a previous presentation that the 3.1 version had certain issues. I was wondering if the ramp-up 4.0 of December would have "smoothed" out these issues.
I was reading in the forum all I could find on SolMan, and came across this thread which seems to indicate that SolMan is still primarily a "technical communication channel".

[Solved] Forum pm or Forum report function

Hello,
I have been looking for a way to use a forum pm function but can' t seem to find one. Do these forums not have this feature, or is it possibly post-count dependent?
Per forum rules, certain issues must be handled privately, which of course I understand. We are advised of the correct procedure:
"If you feel that an egregious oversight has been made, use the forum report function or pm the moderator group. Please do not post complaints on the forum."
However I cannot find either function.
Could somebody point me in the right direction?

We don't use pm - e-mail is enough.
Try searching with the "search-on-page" function in your browser. ('/' in firefox by default). 'Report ' is in the bottom right-hand corner of the box w/ your (and my) post - it's silver so it may a bit hard to see against a gray background - it's right next to 'Quote'.

the user does not have the auth for the fm RV_SALES_DOCUMENT_VIEW_3 and so he can not display the list that this fm is used in.
How can i provide this auth for this user?

Hi ,
I guess the function module 'RV_SALES_DOCUMENT_VIEW_3' should get called from the transaction to
display the list.
So for providing the access to this function module, you can create the single role (assigning the transaction of function module to this role) and then create the multple role and assign this multiple role to the user.
Please let me know for any issues.

Any User Forums for Postbox??

hi all.
i realize this may not be a perfect place to ask this but i have been searching the web for an answer to this question.
i moved to postbox shortly after porting to mac from windows about a year and a half ago and while i have been happy with the software for the most part it seems like they were working out some bugs after releasing it slightly prematurely. then i wasn't able to find the forums for some reason and now i think i may have gotten cut off from support (or this has been discontinued in some way?) due to the fact that I (admittedly) ask a lot of questions.
does anyone know what is up with this in terms of support options?
is everyone one on a mac using Mail or Postbox?
i am about to purchase FileMaker to try and organize things a little tighter over here and if there is a good way to knit together even more functionality with my mail by buying something to do this I would like to. right now the issue seems to be to see if there is a convenient way to see and search attachments (and the emails at the same time0 without doing a whole lot of saving out of my mail handling program (i get a lot of resumes with attached portfolios and i'd like to avoid having to d/l all the emails and the attachments and then name them and sort them etc in order to review them).

I don't see any forums for Postbox support, just a series of FAQs and knowlege base articles. It's possible you can post a question or an issue if you have an account (by buying the program) and get an answer, but I don't use it so I can't test that theory.

What are you hoping Filemaker would do for your email? I would think that you'd have to find a way to get those resumes and portfolios into Filemaker, so I'm assuming you'd have to export them out of your email program anyway. But I'm not an expert in that, so it's entirely possible that I'm mistaken.

Different GOGS GL account for goods issue

Hello SAP export,
The F&A department requests to generate different COGS GL account based on Customer Account Assignment Group when goods issue (or billing). Customer Account Assignment Group field name is KNVV-KTGRD. The solution is NOT possible at T-CODE OBYC (with GBB transaction (MM FI configuration for goods issue) because we are using the same materials. (All materials are with same valuation class in MATERIAL master).
I had posted this question in SD forums but the export suggests me to post in FI forum.
If you know any workable solution, please help.

Smart form for Goods issue

I am facing a problem with smartform. I am creating a smartform for good issue
This is the smartform Z_SMB40_MMGI1_L and this is the print program Z_SMB40_M07DR
For ME application i have assigned the output type wlb1 and the above said form in nace.
I am picking the document number from mb51 based on the movement type 309
in mb02 for each document i am trying to assigning the output type wlb1
i was able to assign the output type for only one document number for rest it is showing warnings and also for few documents i am receiving error
Express document "Update was terminated" received from author "xxxxx"
how do i assign for all documents at a stretch (in which t code).
in mb90 i am trying to view the form but it is throwing the error
START_FORM is invalid, OPEN_FORM is missing,
even though i have removed the script name.
can u please help me out by providing the corresponding print program and smartform for above said scenario

Go to Nace .The application for Goods Issues is
ME - Inventory Management -> select and click on output types ->select wa03 output type and click on processing routines here you can find the form name and the driver program name.So while printing select wa03 as the output type.

I recently purchased the new nano (7th generation) and I love it except for one issue. On my old 2nd generation nano, when I played podcasts, it would play podcasts one at a time. So if I had 20 episodes of a podcast on the device, it would stop at the end of each one.
With the new nano, I can select and play a podcast, but when it’s over, it goes straight to the next one without prompting. It keeps on playing all of the episodes of any podcast until you stop it manually. Setting the repeat function differently does not prevent episodes from being played automatically.
This can be very irritating when I only want to listen to one podcast. I’ve often fallen asleep listening to one episode of a podcast, only to be woken up hours later by the iPod working its way through all subsequent episodes. It is also annoying that any podcast which has started automatically in this way is marked as ‘played’ – even if you stop it within a few seconds. This makes it hard to keep track of what you have actually listened to.
Is there any way to set the iPod to play all the podcasts individually? I have read the User Guide from cover to cover, and can’t find a way of doing this.

Among other stuff I have 3 classes interacting with an Oracle database, covering 3 use cases - renaming, adding and deleting an database object. The renaming class simply updates the database with a String variable it receives from the request object, whereas the other two classes perform some calculations with the request data and update the database accordingly.
When the adding or deleting classes are executed, by performing the appropriate actions through the web application, Tomcat throws the following:

...The renaming works fine though. I have checked mailing lists and forums as well as contacted the company's java support but everything I have tried out so far, from exchanging the xerces.jar files found in JDOM and Tomcat to rebuidling the project didn't help.
I just can't explain to myself why this error occurs and I don't see how some additional Java code in the other 2 classes could cause it?
I realize that the Tomcat and JDK versions I'm using are totally out of date, but that's company's current standard and I can't really change that.

After further googling I figured out what was causing the problem: in eclipse I was referring to external libraries located in eclipse/plugins directory, whereas Tomcat was referring to the same libraries (possibly older versions) in it's common/lib directory.
