Forum for Netbeans, JavaFX Composer ...

I don't see a dedicated forum for JavaFX/Netbeans users. At the forums.netbeans.org site there is'nt anything dedicated for JavaFX. Here there is'nt anything dedicated for Netbeans.
IMHO a dedicated forum would be valuable. JavaFX seems to be the "future client stack" for Java and Netbeans the principal IDE that supports it.
What do you all think ?.

There is no forum at NetBeans forum site dedicated for JavaFX since there is no overwhelming amount of messages with JavaFX topic for requiring separation from the nbusers forum.
We have a mailing list (with a message archive) dedicated specifically to JavaFX:

JavaFX Composer ImageView not loading

I'm using Netbeans JavaFX Composer but when I insert an ImageView node I can't see it in the design view. Of course when I run the script it's displayed correctly, any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Ok, I've just solved the problem. I've been working with Netbeans and JavaFX for many versions since JavaFX 1.0, so I think my problem is related with updating netbeans once and again. I've uninstalled all my netbeans, download latest jdk (1.6.0_18), latest javafx (1.2.3) and netbeans again and now the composer works like a charm ;-)

Problem in Installing JavaFX for NetBeans 6.0.1

I am using NetBeans6.0.1. The problem I am facing while installing/updating JavaFX plug-in in NetBeans6 is that the system is watched by network firewall.
NetBeans is unable to retrieve information about the updates as firewall doesn't allows it to do so.
I badly need JavaFX plugin installer(I hope it is something like javaFX.nbm file) so that I can update it offline by searching it through Downloaded tab in the plugin window.
Please don't give me this link ( https://openjfx.dev.java.net/javafx-nb60-plugin-install.html ) to update my NetBeans for JavaFX.
If there is any option to update NetBeans for JavaFX, do let me know.
Also, why have you given just one option for installing JavaFX Plug-in in NetBeans??
I am eagerly waiting for reply.
PS NetBeans6 doesn't highlights(active) Updates and Available Plug-in's in the plugin window.

Writing to a data source in JavaFX composer

Hi,
I'm creating a JavaFX app that needs to write to a JavaFX storage device. I'm using the Storage Data Source in the JavaFX composer with NetBeans 6.9. I know how to read from the data storage device, but how do I write to it? I have the device currently set as a JSON device, but I can change that.
Are the docs on the storage devices in JavaFX composer? I read the NetBeans wiki on data storage.

there is no specific support for writing to a Storage data source. Please use javafx.io.Storage API for writing to Storage devices.

I can't seem to find any information, but my Netbeans 6.8 on Linux is not picking up the JavaFX Composer plugin. Does anyone know if Composer is supported on Linux? If not, when will it be?

Enable Javadoc for Netbeans

Hello,
I have configured JavaFX 2.0 using Netbeans 7.1 beta and JDK 7 successfully.
But there is no Javadoc available for the JavaFX classes. I have tried to add the Javadoc path in the Java platform settings, but this had no effect.

1. Right click on your project, and open the Properties menu item.
2. Select Libraries | Manage Platforms... | JavaFX Tab
3. Place C:\Program Files\Oracle\JavaFX 2.0 SDK\docs in the JavaFX Javadoc field (or the equivalent directory if you are using Mac).
4. Go into your code, place the cursor over a JavaFX classname, press Alt+F1, the javadoc for the class will show in a browser.
The above worked for me in Netbeans 7.1RC2, so you may need to upgrade your NetBeans. I'd suggest updating anyway as the JavaFX support was in Netbeans was in active development between 7.0.1 and 7.1. Note that the JavaFX project format also changed between the two versions, so unforunately you will need to recreate any JavaFX Netbeans projects you have after you upgrade.
Check that your JavaFX SDK install completed correctly and that you actually have docs in C:\Program Files\Oracle\JavaFX 2.0 SDK\docs.

Blueprints popupcalendar component for Netbeans 5.5

I tried to run a java studio creator application in Netbeans 5.5 IDE.But i got the following errors
package com.sun.j2ee.blueprints.ui.popupcalendar does not exist
I guess the blueprints components need to be integrated in the netbeans.Can anyone suggest any link to download the blueprint components for Netbeans 5.5.

Unfortunately, there is no widely used forum for VWP. Most people use the NetBeans Users mailing list and just put VWP in the subject. Some people use a service such as Nabble to make the mailing list more forum like.

For your kind information, I would like to tell you that I have been using Crystal Reports for more than 2 years with Visual Studio .Net. I had found a Crystal Reports package for Eclipse IDE (I assume you know what it is) a year before. So I assume that there could be a Crystal Reports package for NetBeans 6.0 IDE also. I had searched Internet, NetBeans Plugin Pages, www.businessobjects.com and many other websites but all in vein. So, I think that I may get a link or any satisfacting answer from this forum. But, again all in vein.
I would like to make two suggestion that,
1. DON'T CATCH ONE'S TOUNGE.
