Forum Issue - Strange behavior in threaded display of threads

Just noticed on some threads there will be a notice of a number of replies but the actually number that I can see will be somewhat less - for example there are 17 replies noted for a thread but I'll only see 12.
I use Threaded view and if I change to FLAT view, I'll see all the threads.
Any one else noticing this discrepancy when using Threaded view?
x

Yes, have you reported it in the Lounge?
EDIT: Never mind. I just went there and see that it's been reported.

    Hi to all
    I'm using my MacBook pro, and notice some strange behavior after open several windows or applications, I don't know how to explain, so here is a photo:

    Any suggestions?

    I am having the exact same problem(and no one is replying to my post either), I read in another post of someone who had a somewhat similar issue and someone commented that it was bad VRAM and warranted the logic board to be replaced. I'm hoping this is not the case, or at least hoping the problem does not get worse because I am in school and can't be without this computer for 2 weeks while it gets repaired..I'm hoping I can last til the holidays...

Almost running for 12hours, even one record status(process_status) also not changed. the code which we are using to load in interface table is using in production since 3 years.. • Strange Behavior in modifying the values in VO

    I have a VO based on EO from a custom table. The query is something like:
    select EO.x, EO.y, (EO.x*EO.y) xy from EO
    I have displayed the values from this VO on to a table in OAF page. All the columns are messageTextInput but the third column (xy) is read-only. I have written a fireAction to execute when x or y values are changed to update the xy value accordingly.
    Code in CO:
    if ("ValueChange".equals(pageContext.getParameter(EVENT_PARAM)))
    OAApplicationModule am = pageContext.getApplicationModule(webBean);
    am.invokeMethod("UpdateXY");
    pageContext.forwardImmediately(<Same Page>, null,
    OAWebBeanConstants.KEEP_MENU_CONTEXT,
    null, null, true,
    OAWebBeanConstants.ADD_BREAD_CRUMB_NO);
    Code in AM:
    public void UpdateXY()
    xxVOImpl vo = getxxVO1();
    Row r = vo.first();
    while (vo.hasNext())
    r = vo.next();
    Object X = r.getAttribute("X");
    String X_string = X.toString();
    float X_value = Float.parseFloat(X_string);
    Object Y = r.getAttribute("Y");
    String Y_string = Y.toString();
    float Y_value = Float.parseFloat(Y_string);
    Float XY = new Float(X_value*Y_value);
    r.setAttribute("XY",(Object)XY);
    The problem is as follows. During the first time I try to update a value, the control goes through the logic and returns to the page but the XY value is not updated. But if i change a second value and tab out, the codes works and displays both the updated values of XY. From then on, the code is working fine.
    I'm also not updating the first row and so I didnt perform any logic in AM for the first row.
    Please help me out in finding out the reason for this strange behavior.

    This nature is fine, basically initially your EO x and y columns are null and unless you do a commit, these values don't go in db. The third column will take x and Y coumns values from db and multiply and will get null.
    To solve this issue, you get the values from VO columns x and y in PPR and and put x*y in the third column of Vo, IN THAT ROW.or you can directly get hold of the bean which hold the value of x*y and use setValue after getting x*y.

  • Strange behavior of Windows Azure Compute Emulator (SDK 2.3)

    Today, after an update of the Azure SDK from 2.2 to 2.3, I noticed that only one of the two instances of my web role is started in
    the Azure Compute Emulator, the output of the Start-AzureEmulator is this:
    VERBOSE: Starting Emulator...
    VERBOSE: Role is running at http://127.0.0.1:81/
    Role is running at tcp://127.0.0.1:3389/
    Role is running at tcp://127.0.0.1:3389/
    VERBOSE: Started
    and only one instance is started in the Azure Compute Emulator.
    But in the past was something similar to this one:
    VERBOSE: Starting Emulator...
    VERBOSE: Role is running at http://127.0.0.1:81/
    http://127.0.0.1:82/
    Role is running at tcp://127.0.0.1:3389/
    Role is running at tcp://127.0.0.1:338/
    VERBOSE: Started
    and two instances were started.
    I already found this thread:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13946634/strange-behavior-of-windows-azure-compute-emulator-sdk-1-8-with-multiple-role
    but it was not useful in my case (Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Common.WorkArounds.BindToAllIpsWorkAroundEnabled is False).
    Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi,
    As far as I know, powershell didn't have a parameter to start azure emulator with full express, please try to use Command-line to test, refer to

  • Zenworks Agent 10.3.3 - Windows 7 32 -Strange behavior

    Hi,
    Here's my problem :
    I have a SYSPREP fully functionnal that install the Novell Client IR9a on a Windows 7 SP1 32Bits and at the end i have a VBS File that download the latest version of Zenworks Agent installer to the local harddrive. After it installs it... Then a strange behavior happen after the required reboot by the installer.
    You can't ping any DNS names until until you have rebooted your machine 3 times.
    -> You can ping ip addresses but not their names.
    I tried to do a flush dns realse or renew and same behavior... can't ping any DNS names.
    This problem is not there if i do not install the Adaptive agent and leave the Novell Client Alone...
    The Windows 7 was originally a home premium that was upgraded to a oem pro license if that can ring any bell.
    Thank you.

    There was an issue a LONG time ago that I have not heard reported

  • Strange behavior when shutting down - only works once

    Hi there,
    I'm taking advice from around the forum to create a shutdown button for my VI. When the user sends the shutdown command, the loop stops all processes running and turns off all heaters. Then when this is complete it passes a shutdown variable to all loops allowing them to close. This seems to work perfectly once, but when I hit run again and test it again, it fails. If I abort the VI and restart again, the shutdown works. I can't quite figure out what the behavior is doing here.
    Attached is my program, it's a little messy but everything works, and it has to be added to by someone who isn't me, so I tried to keep everything clear and seperate. If anyone's got any ideas as to what is causing this strange behavior I'd love to hear it.
    Thanks,
    Chris.

    First of all, your event loop should look something more like this.  Otherwise you won't exit the loop until another event comes through.
    Secondly, I think you are writing to the wrong control here (this is in your timed loop).  I have no clue what is in the subVI, but I don't think it should be looking at the Shutdown PB control.  That control should be in it's event case.  But here you are trying to cause the shutdown event, but you are writing to the wrong control.

  • Strange behavior in audio editing

    Greetings,  I am working on a progect in logic x and am suddenly having difficulty editing audio.  There is behaviour that I do not understatnd-  If I use the trim tool, other regions move (I am editing a large piece, using group to edit all regions at the same time).  Also after an edit, there is audio playing from some previous edit or from a track that is overlapped or something?  I have toggled the overlap/ no overlap function and have been working with shuffle modes, but now it seems strange.  Do I have something set differently or wrong I wonder.
    Thanks for the help!
    cheers---

    I did a quick (and dirty) fix for this, but it has one problem. After this handler has blocked the submit, you can only enter edit mode using the edit-button at ribbon. Edit button at upper right corner stops to work for some reason. After site refresh everything
    works again, so not a major issue.
    <script>

    // This fix stops form submit => blocks transfer to edit mode
    var disableFormSubmitDueToBug = false;
    var bugSubmitHandlerAttached = false;
    $('*selector for inputs here*').keydown(function(e){
    if(e.keyCode == 13 ) {
      disableFormSubmitDueToBug = true;
      bindBugSubmitHandler();
    } else {
      unbindBugSubmitHandler();
    }).focusout(function(){
    unbindBugSubmitHandler();
    function bindBugSubmitHandler(){
    $( "form" ).bind("submit", function( e ) {
    if(disableFormSubmitDueToBug) {
    e.preventDefault();
    console.log('Blocked submit by SP bug handler');
    bugSubmitHandlerAttached = true;
    function unbindBugSubmitHandler(){
    if(bugSubmitHandlerAttached){
    $( "form" ).unbind("submit");
    bugSubmitHandlerAttached = false;
    console.log('SP bug submit handler unbind occurred');
    </script>
    Thank you SO much for writing this script. It worked for me.
    Where the code says: $('*selector for inputs here*').keydown(function(e){
    You need to replace *selector or inputs here* with the name of your input box, so for me it was:
    $("input[name^='client_name']").keydown(function(e){

  • Strange behavior when "trying" to burn a disk.

    At least I think this is strange behavior, following the instructions in the help viewer, topic "Backing up your music to a CD or DVD." One thing for sure, it's not burning a disc and it ain't telling me why.
    I select the playlist and click "Burn Disc"
    Requests a blank disc. I insert one.
    Message "checking media"
    after about a minute, the disc ejects
    Message "checking media" displays another 30 seconds

    Whoops, sorry, this was while burning a playlist.
    I've also tried some Pleomax CD disks (Samsung), with no luck. I've tried burning directly from iTunes, and from Toast 7.
    Of the types I've tried, the Sony DVD's have been the best for me. Haven't tried many types though. Maybe I can get disks one at a time until I find a brand my burner likes.
    Still, isn't it strange that there is NO error message? It just quits?

  • Strange Behavior with gMSA in Server 2012 R2

    Greetings,
    I have been doing some testing with gMSA Accounts in a Server 2012 R2 environment (two separate environments, actually), and I have noticed something very strange that occurred in both environments, which does not appear to be occurring in one of our customer's
    self-managed environments.
    We created a Group Managed Service Account using the following article:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/askpfeplat/archive/2012/12/17/windows-server-2012-group-managed-service-accounts.aspx
    Everything went smoothly, and the account installs/tests successfully on both of the hosts that we are testing on. I am able to set my services to run under the account, and most of them appear to work fine. I am having some issues with a few of my services,
    and I believe that the strange behavior I am seeing may have something to do with this - described below:
    As soon as I set the service's Log On Account (via the Log On Tab under the Service's Properties), the entirety of the "Log On" tab changes to "greyed out," and I am unable to change the Log On account back via the GUI (Screenshot
    attached).
    I found that I am able to successfully change the account via Command Line using sc.exe, but the Log On tab remains greyed out! So far, I have found nothing to remedy this, but confirmed that it happens for any service I set to use the gMSA as the Logon
    Account, and that it happens in 2 separate test environments, but not in a Customer's production environment - very strange.
    All servers in this environment are running Server 2012 R2, and domain Functional Level is currently Server 2012.
    I have been unable to find any information online about this behavior, so I am hoping someone has seen this before, and can explain why this is happening.
    Nick

    VIvian,
    Yes, we used the Install-AdServiceAccount gMSA command on each host using the gMSA account, and then ran Test-AdServiceAccount gMSA, which returned "True."
    However, one thing I noticed is that if I run Test-ADServiceAccount gMSA as a Local Administrator, it fails with the following:
    PS C:\Users\Administrator> Test-AdServiceAccount gMSA$
    Test-AdServiceAccount : The server has rejected the client credentials.
    At line:1 char:1
    + Test-AdServiceAccount gMSA$
    + ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        + CategoryInfo          : SecurityError: (:) [Test-ADServiceAccount], AuthenticationException
        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : ActiveDirectoryCmdlet:System.Security.Authentication.AuthenticationException,Microsoft.A
       ctiveDirectory.Management.Commands.TestADServiceAccount
    If I run Test-ADServiceAccount gMSA as Domain Administrator, it returns true:
    PS C:\Users\Administrator.<domainname>> Test-AdServiceAccount gMSA$
    True
    Is this normal?
    Overall, I think the issue I am running into is at the Application Level, and not a problem with the gMSA, as it appears to be working. (Can Start/Stop services without any issues). I will be investigating my issue further with 3rd-party vendors, unless
    you think there is something wrong with my gMSA accounts based on the information I have provided.

  • My macbook had a weird behavior on the display, now it won't go further than gray loading screen with the apple logo

    My macbook had a weird behavior on the display, now it won't go further than gray loading screen with the apple logo. It's a macbook pro early 2011. I've read that those are having issues, if there's someone i can contact for further information, report the issue since it's getting common or any temporal solution available. Thanks

    Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
    Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair
    When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
    Reinstall Mountain Lion or Mavericks
    OS X Mavericks- Reinstall OS X
    OS X Mountain Lion- Reinstall OS X
         Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
                     if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • Strange behavior when trying to change backgrounds after Aperture install

    Running 10.5.1 on my MacBook Pro without a hitch until today. Installed Aperture 1.5 and updated it to 1.5.6 last night and it too works fine.
    However, today when I went to change my background image in System Preferences I encountered some strange voodoo. I originally under the Desktop applet in System Preferences I had the default images and folders supplied with the operating system, and one images folder I maintain under my Documents folder for my personal backgrounds.
    Now I am no longer able to view my personal backgrounds folder in the System Preferences Desktop applet to select one of my images as a background. Instead I have, literally, two occurrences of the Aperture Projects folder listed under the default operating system background image options.
    Initially I found I cannot discard either instance of the Aperture folder, nor can I re-add my personal images folder (states the folder is already in the list as an option). Naturally I figured something might be amiss with permissions. So I rebooted and ran the Disk Utility which checked my drive to find no pertinent errors. No change in symptom.
    Next I renamed my personal images folder. This produced a change in symptom.
    Now I only observed one occurrence of the Aperture Projects Folder in the System Preferences applet. However, when I went to add my newly renamed personal images folder the second occurrence of the Aperture Projects folder appeared and would not let me access anything therein.
    Could certainly be a problem specific to 10.5.1, but thought it worth posting here in case anybody else wants to try to troubleshoot or has the same voodoo. Plus, the problem did not occur in 10.4.X running Aperture - so I think it is pretty specific to 10.5.1.
    Not a show stopper, but certainly weird. Hopefully not indicative of any additional problems lurking under the covers.
    TIA for any input or responses.

    HELP - I have a strange behavior (bug?) with using Zoom

    There must be bugs in the Zoom effect code -- I changed the
    Zoom to Resize in the above code, and it works perfectly. Of
    course, Resize is not as nice as Zoom because you can't set the
    resize to be around the center of the image, but at least it works.
    Does anyone know about bugs in the Zoom effect?

  • Strange behavior after using NIK plug-ins

    Every once in a while I encounter this strange behavior of Aperture. I first process the NEF's in Aperture (white balance, Exposure, Enhance... and, when needed, Cropping) and then I fine tune the image with the NIK plug-ins; when needed DfIne 2.0, Viveza, Color Efex Pro 3.0 and Sharpener Pro 3.0 Output Sharpener.
    If I look at the processed picture then, I get a perfect presentation of the photo;
    !http://users.skynet.be/fc419085/Aperture-1.jpg!
    But when I press Z to zoom into a 100% preview I get this;
    !http://users.skynet.be/fc419085/Aperture-2.jpg!
    When I select the Loup in the normal view mode I get this;
    !http://users.skynet.be/fc419085/Aperture-3.jpg!
    This doesn't happen with all my pictures, yesterday I processed a series of 8 pictures an 6 of them showed this behavior the other two acted normal and I can't see what I did differently whit these last two.
    When I export the strangely behaving photo's to a Tiff or a Jpeg, I get perfectly normal pictures.
    The original NEF behaves normal. I have seen this behavior with NEF's from a Nikon D200, D2x and a D300. I have Aperture 2.1.2 running on a 2.33 GHz Intel Core Duo MacBook Pro running Mac OS X 10.5.6
    Does anybody know what's happening and if so, how to solve this problem?
    Cheers,
    Ivan

    I did some testing and what I found is too weird to be true.
    First this mashed up look doesn't only happen after using NIK plug-ins, it also happens when making a roundtrip to Photoshop, given that certain conditions are met.
    Give it a try yourself. Crop an image to an uneven pixelcount dimension, for example 4227 x 2797 and make a roundtrip to Photoshop. Then have a 100% view look at the new image in Aperture. You'll have a mashed up view, at least I do.
    Now crop the same original image to an even pixelcount dimension, for example 4228 x 2798 and make an roundtrip to Photoshop once more. When you have a 100% view of the new image now, you'll see a perfectly normal photo.
