Forum looks different today - what's going on?
Frequent visitors to the Lenovo forum may notice some changes today, August 19th, 2009 when they login. Overnight, the forum code was updated to a new version, and this brought along a number of minor appearance and function changes.
Many of the activity icons have changed, and the kudos and accepted solutions buttons and locations have changed as well. While these are the visible signs of change, the updates behind the scenes pave the way for new features that we hope will improve the experience here in the coming weeks and months.
We plan to share more about these updates and collect your thoughts here as well.
For now, what do you like, and what would you like to see changed?

Hi Mark,
Haven't used the new interface enough yet to find new features that I like (though the HTML edit tab in the message writing screen looks good). I don't mean to be negative, but probably will notice changes I don't like before new features.
Here's a change I don't like: There used to be an "Advanced" search link on the home page. Now it seems to do that you have to first do a simple search, only then does the "advanced" search link appear. More clicks, more time -> bad.

When working with accordion panels, when I first insert the widget it looks fine, then I begin customizing the content and then the Preview display does not look the same as the Design display. For instance, in the design display the panel aligns with the adjacent image, but in Preview, it appears offset by one or two pixels.

My brushes look pixelated. What's going on?
I started Ps today and when I used the default soft round brush, it looked like this.
The other brushes also look similar, like pixelated.Add the Dissolve blend mode to your ideas database as great for a chalk on blackboard effect.

Why do certain clips (photos), viewed in preview, on Adobe Premiere 11 look different on YouTube?
Hi folks,
I've posted, via Adobe Premiere 11, two different music videos on YouTube and on my Facebook page. The first one, "Back In The Day", looks the same on YouTube (and Facebook) as it did when I viewed it (previewed it) on Premiere 11. But the second video, "Wicked World", that I posted on those internet sites, has certain clips (photos) that look different than what's seen on Premiere 11.
With "Wicked World", it almost looks like certain Panned & Zoomed photos are bigger in size than what the YouTube screen can show?
I used Pan & Zoom on some photos in both videos. But maybe with "Wicked World", I always set the "Hold" times to zero (0) when using Pan & Zoom on some photos. Or could it have something to do with the Track Size on the "Wicked World" Premiere 11 video? BTW, I see that by right clicking in an empty part of the track, the Track Size choices come up as small, medium or large.
Or is it something about upload choices on YouTube? Two different friends helped me with uploads to YouTube for each video, so maybe the first one, "Back In The Day", looks OK because that friend chose proper upload choices?
If you have time, or the inclination to see the difference for yourself, you can go on YouTube and type in on the search bar, "Wicked World Bob Fuchs". You'll see both a head shot of me playing harmonica for one YouTube choice, and a painting of Van Gogh as another way to get to the "Wicked World" problem video, and the "Back In The Day" good video.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Once I find out why "Wicked World" photos slide partly off the YouTube screen, I will delete it from YouTube and replace it with an issue free one.
I just want to learn what caused that, hopefully, so I can avoid that problem going forward.

I just tried out something you had suggested. I think it may solve the issue I have with the panned & zoomed photos on my "Wicked World" video - the ones that look weird when I view the video on YouTube (and Facebook).
So, in case you also think the following may be the answer, I will now copy and paste relevant parts of my previous email, PLUS include my new thoughts - in order not to waste your valuable time looking into an answer I may already have.
Here goes:
The Premiere 11 Edit area monitor Magnification had already been set to "Fit".
In Edit Menu Preferences General, I already had a check mark on "Default Scale to Frame Size".
The properties of the first file (a Title screen) that I dragged into the Timeline are 1920 Horizontal, 1080 Vertical. But properties of subsequent photos, some of which I panned and zoomed, are mostly only around 648x599.
Upon viewing my "Wicked World" video carefully on YouTube, I see that what actually happens is that the box-like area where my video is shown (probably the same size of my Premiere 11 screen edit area?) is smaller than the YouTube's screen viewing area. That does not bother me. However, when the panned and zoomed photos occur, my smaller box area, within the YouTube screen, itself moves along with the panned & zoomed movement of the photos! That inner box moves slightly vertically, either up or down, and to lower right or left, depending on which direction the pan and zoom of each photo is going. And an empty border around the video area hangs there, within the YouTube viewing area.
So ... as you talked about, I tried something: I replaced an existing panned & zoomed photo (clip) in the Timeline with the same photo, and then I clicked on "Scale to Frame Size". The photo got bigger. I then did a new pan and zoom on it, and reduced the duration of how long that photo clip plays. Therefore, although the pan and zoom happens faster, it cues to the proper places in the music (audio) track. And I'm guessing that the larger "Scale to Frame Size" on that photo will now show properly in the YouTube viewing area, without the smaller inner box area moving too, along with the panned and zoomed photo?
I have only done this on one of my previously panned and zoomed photos in the video. But if you think this may solve the viewing issue on YouTube, that I described above, then I'll do the same with all the previously panned and zoomed photos in my video, and save it as a new version on Premiere 11.
I guess I'd then try and delete the existing "Wicked World" video from YouTube, and replace it with the new, hopefully issue-free version.
What do you think? Should I try this, and then replace the old one on YouTube?

What is going on with Adobe Flash Player?
All of a sudden videos are either disappearing from my website, leaving just blank boxes or grey boxes with error messages, saying that Flash player has crashed, and added videos don't appear??????
I've been reading all the forums to find out what's going on, but everyone is getting frustrated with Adobe for not dealing with it.
Is there an alternative to Adobe?You are correct. Adobe is having a huge problem and not admitting to it. I called adobe and the guy wanted $39 to help me fix it over the phone and when I asked if he has heard of many problems with this issue, he denied it. This forum is your best hope. It looks like they, thusfar, have helped many people and I am dealing with my own issues and have someone assisting me daily, but it is a step by step process. Just keep checking back on your post here and someone will be back with you. Just add some more details to your post such as your operating system, browsers and versions, antivirus software and if you are the administrator and you will save some time because that is probably what they will ask you first anyway. Good luck...this is extremely frustrating for me as well. My computer is less than 4 months old and I haven't really changed anything.

I have three ipods, none of which are being recognized by my itunes. I have reset each ipod, with no results. I wonder if the problem isn't with the USB ports. The mouse works fine in each port; nothing happens when I plug in the ipods. I have tried two different USB cables. I have no other USB devices with which to test. I have made sure I have the most recent updates and rebooted the computer. Any idea what is going on?

What's going on: jim.marion double login in the Forum

Hello. It's July 31, 2013 today. It's Wednesday today.
About half an hour ago, I replied to jim.marion in my thread https://forums.oracle.com/thread/2561843 whose title is "Install PeopleTools 8.53 with Linux Issue: Client Windows and Server Linux".
I have been login in the Forum but when replied to jim.marion, a message box came up after his name: you are no longer login, please "login".
I click the "login" button and enter my account name and password in a rush to reply to jim.marion. I think this login is not neccessary ! I assume jim.marion has stealed my account name and password !
My questions are:
First, please ask jim.marion to explain what's going on ? !
Second, if jim.marion got my account name and password, please don't abuse my account name and password !
Third, how to change account password ? Does any folk confront the same issue ?

At this time I have no desire to change my persona, but maybe you can change that by telling me a little about yourself? Do you have a yacht? How many homes do you own? Vacation condos? I could probably be persuaded to change me to be someone else... I'd have to think about it though.
Now, what is it that makes you think jim.marion stole your credentials? Did you see posts you didn't write? Are you basing your accusation strictly on the fact that you were logged out when trying to reply to jim.marion? I read your post a couple of times, and that is all it says: you tried to reply to jim.marion and the forum told you that you were logged out. I'm not sure that is enough to convict jim.marion. Perhaps you were trying to log in as jim.marion? Perhaps I should be accusing you? Just kidding, of course. Honestly, I don't mind if you answer a few questions on the forum as me because I will get the points.
I'm pretty sure that your OTN forum account is tied to all other oracle.com accounts, including MyO support, OTN, OpenWorld, etc, so change your password at any of these locations and it should propagate.
Do you have any more details? Not that I can fix any of it. I am just curious as to why you think someone has your credentials. -
Something has happen my ipad air 2 it wont let me download or update any apps, when I press the button do update or download it looks like it is but it doesn't so if anyone knows what's going wind please help me
Do you have any restrictions for purchasing apps on the phone? Settings > General > Restrictions. If you have a Mac computer or another Apple device can you purchase things in the App Store using the same Apple ID on something else?

Guys, what is going on two phones exchanged in store today all had battery draining problems once phone updated to iOS 6.0.2.
First phone wouldn't last 3 hours usage even in plane mode function.
Second phone bit better battery life 3 hours 15 minutes usage No Apps installed on both phone and location turn off even setup as new phone.First of all, why did you say yes to Nero Back up before researching what it does with files already on the HDD? When I install Nero, the Back Up is the first thing I disable, it is a nagging pain, there are much better backup programs available. There are several file recovery programs out there to recover deleted files, that is, if that is what happened. Also, if you haven't overwritten the files, so you should be able to find them.

So, i recieve a new TODAY due to my other ones software stuffing up due to a stuff up in the new software update. Alls well and good, i leave the store drive home which is a hours drive mind you, make a phone call we talk for a while, it cuts out. I didnt think anything of it. Next phone call the person im speaking with cant hear me, 5 phone calls later i turn on speaker phone horray they can hear me. WHAT IS GOING ON??? I have had that many problems with my iphones but this is behond a joke...brand new phone thats already not working!!!!! I've tried to restore it and do everything i can but its not fixing anything. Im hoping someone out there can help because im done with Apple after this because this ludacris. Thanks in advanced :-)

The screen resolution in 1920x1200 dropped on my MacBook Pro 17". Seems like I have not the same pixels. There are also vertical, thin lines on the screen. Makes the screen look milky. Anybody knows what's going on and how to fix it?
Take it to an Apple Store or other service provider for testing.

Besides calibrating you rmonitor:
Make sure that in PS you have selected ProPhoto RGB as Working Space.
Go > Edit > Color Settings.
LR uses ProPhoto RGB and tht cannot be changed. So you have to make sure that PS uses the same Working Space.

Help! My Bluetooth keyboard is not writing what I type! What I mean is that when I type the letter "h" for example, it shows up as a different letter. None of the keys match! What is going on?
The missing Albums may be ones where the Artist is not listed as also being the Album Artist in the tag. Try going to Settings>Music and turn Group By Album Artist to Off. See if the missing albums now show in the Artist view. If so, you can either leave the setting this way, or if you prefer it to be on, go to iTunes on your computer and put the correct name in the Album Artist field of the tag (on the Info tab of the tab) for the albums in question and sync your phone.
