Forum Posting Tools Do Not Work

I'm not sure of where this post really belongs ... just sort of frustrated here, can't get anything uploaded.
I've got a question on report builder, need to post two 7KB images up to display what I'm having trouble with. with 1024KB max size and 2 images max per post this should be no problem. The upload function in the dialog box will browse to
the file but after selecting the file and trying to upload, the circular dot icon spins forever, nothing happens.
I put a post here before, with "start a discussion" selected and was told why this belongs in a different area of the site, which is all well and good.
However, I'm very disappointed in that the functionality of the site tools to create posts just isn't there. Wherever this needs to be posted, if it's moved, fine but I've run into this issue 2 times in the last 3 working days. (24 July and today)
This is annoying.
I need to get a simple question posted and answered. Basically, someone is doing a trick with a minimal width column, hidden cells, with some sort of code expression and the only columns really doing work are groupings to the left of this column.
This minimized-width column is purposely set on the right side of the table, shrunk horizontally as much as possible, can't be deleted because it's the only detail column, etc.
With a properly working set of forum tools I could post the 2 images showing what I'm running into, the Code.Function that the expression in the hidden detail text box of this column calls, etc. and someone could quickly tell me what this esoteric trick
is, if it has any value and if I could just scrap the table in favor of something simpler.
But I can't get there ... sorry for sounding so disappointed but I am
so disappointed. :) Not horribly unhappy or angry, just not quite so smiley. :)
Please ... can these basic forum tools be made to WORK or is there some other option besides sending office mail to home (or to my phone) where I can then put it on my one drive, where I can make some sort of file with it and then upload that? That
process takes too long ... PLEASE ... I could use something much more practical.

As to the issue about posting images, it is related to the net speed. If the net speed is slow, the performance would be worse. We can try to upload the images in your OneDrive public folder, then copy the URL for the original image, and paste it to the
Image URL when we inserting images in a reply. Besides, we can also upload other files to your OneDrive public folder, then share the URL of the folder. Reference:

This is a user to user Forum, so you are not really addressing Adobe here, even though some Adobe employees thankfully have been dropping by.

Concluding something does not work because you fail at using it is not necessarily always justified.
The Quick Selection Tool certainly has limitations, but your post seems to be more about venting than trouble-shooting – otherwise you might have posted an image where you failed to get an expected result.

The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences):
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press CtrlAltShift/CmdOptionShift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Could not find an installed JDK, SCM Java Tools may not work until registry

I've downloaded the latest full version of Designer (10.1.2.3), but getting installation error: Could not find an installed JDK, SCM Java Tools may not work until registry
Any solution?

3. install the Designer 10.1.2.3 patch to the Developer suite home.When I try to do this at C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDSR2, I get a message OUI-10137: An Oracle Home with name OUIHome already exits at C:\OraHome (a directory that doesn't exist) please specify another name for Oracle Home.
I don't want to just specify another name because cleaning up these faulty installations requires deleting registry keys, etc, since the deinstall does't really remove everything sufficiently to start with a clean slate.
I also got the Java JDK message because the JDK 5 is no longer being put straight onto the C drive, it is buried in C:\Sun\SDK\jdk, so some java programs have to be pointed to it. The Oracle installer doesn't provide this option.
Also, Michael, your post, "Re: Designer 10.1.2.3 on windows Xp Posted: Oct 20, 2007 7:05 AM in response to: mmehdi" is full of unreadable characters and question marks. Maybe I don't have a font you are using. There are also references to a zip file and a Word document that aren't there.

Elements 10 the blur tool does not work

How do you activate this feature.

First try to reset "All Tools" by clicking on the down-arrow icon as shown in this picture:

I have the same issue, I am not sure which version so I had on my old computer but when I got a new windows 7 64bit, and asked IT to install Adobe, my life turned upside down. now they asked if I need X or 9pro and I though 9pro is the latest and greatest.. they installed the standard first then could not edit then asked for the pro and could not edit ... now I search and maybe version X will edit but if the document is signed and we do need to do lots of editing after the signature then what is the solution??
I hope the Guru in Adobe can help here soon please :-)!!

We sincerely apologize for the problem customers are facing while using a trackpad with Photoshop Elements 11 & 12 on Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite).
We have been actively working with Apple to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. We're hopeful this will get completely resolved in an upcoming update of Yosemite(MAC 10.10).
In the meanwhile, you have two options to work around this problem:
1. Option1: Use a mouse instead of the trackpad
2. Option2: Install a plug-in which should workaround the problem
Plug-in installation instructions:
1. Close Photoshop Elements
2. Download this zip file to a location you can easily find (e.g. your desktop)
3. Unzip the file, WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin, and move it to the Plug-In folder:
• For Elements 12 – //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 12/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
• For Elements 11 - //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 11/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
You can verify the plug-in is installed by launching the Photoshop Elements Editor and choosing Help > System Info... Scroll to the bottom of the text in the dialog and look for the plug-in name "WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin".
Note: This plugin is a temporary workaround and should be used until this issue is addressed in Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite). Please remove this plugin once the issue is officially resolved by Apple.
If you are using a stylus in conjunction with a trackpad, you might see issues with your trackpad. Workaround in this particular case is to use mouse instead of the trackpad.

Also, do you have any Selections active - maybe hidden?
When you have your Layer Mask's Channel active, do your Colors change to black and white?

Maybe on the wrong layer.
It would be more beneficial if you capture your screen with the layers panel open and any layers that are collapsed, expand them.
