Forum Subscription Notifications [FIXED]

Sorry if this is in the wrong place - I didn't see a more appropriate place to post it.
I am not getting email notifications to new posts in threads I subscribe to on this site. I have no spam filters, and recieve topic notifications from 30+ other forums I belong to across the internet.
Also, I cannot seem to find it in 'My Settings' - where do I go to verify my registered email address on this site?

Been there, done that. Numerous times.  Verified that all settings are set to "All Posts" and "Immediately".
I also just found and verified that my email address is correct at:
http://support.linksys.com/en-us/support -> Edit Profile
Now what?

    Hi,
    I have a KM repository with subscription and approval process, some users have privileges to read only and some with full control.
    When I create a document the system sends to everybody a notification (read only & full control users), and when the document is approved, the system sends other notification.
    My question is: Why the system sends a notification when I create a document to read only users?. If the user (read only) try to access the document, he or she gets an error, because the document hasn't been published yet.

    For export the Subscription Notification MP, you should go to administration workspace --> management pack --> Notifications Internal Library

  • How disable subscription notifications to locked users?

    Hi All,
    We have some potal users locked (dont want to delete them at the moment).
    Subscriptions notifications  are sent to those users as well (at least admin notifications).
    Is there a way not to sent subscription notification  to locked users?
    We have NW 7.01 SP3 Ep1.

    You can do but the process can be possible through manually so go to
    Detail section -> Setting->Subscription-->Here you can cancel the subscription part
    so that you cannot send any mail to that particular user or if the person already in a group so exclude them from the group so they should no longer to get the subscription as the same thing my friend said on previous forum messgae.

    I am really not sure what this means and where to start.
    I took a search through the database to get more details and found this message, dont know if it helps:

  • Permissions in Subscription notification email

    Hi All,
    I have enabled the subscription service for a KM folder and have assigned some users to it . These users have READ permission to this KM folder.But when these users receive a subscription notification email in that mail they have a link to go to details tab of a folder
    But if user has only read permission for this folder , then they should not get a details link in subscription email .
    How can we control this ?
    Is it that we can control this only by service permissions for subscription ?

    Your answer was helpful , I have checked it using service permissions and it is working fine but still I have one doubt .
    I have assigned subscription service permission ( unsubscribe only ) to these users. This means users should be only able to unsubscribe themselves and not subscribe or add anybody to the subscription.
    But when these users receive the subscription email they still have 'edit subscription' link in their email .
    Is it some kind of configuration issue or a bug ?

  • E-Mail Notification Fixed

    Well I have been a happy camper that the e-mail subscription notifications are now back to working in full force. It figures, as I have like 25 subscriptions. I will now be bombarded with a zillion e-mails with the Leopard release. I am Happy about the notifications now back to working, and will watch all discussions, as I stare at my Leopard DVD, and wait for installing. Just figure I would share. Not a question, but a statement.

  • Subscription notification email - deleted clicking on link - Urgent

    Hi All,
    We are using NW04 Portal SP11, we are using Subscription service, everything is fine except one issue..
    when we subscribe a document, we are getting an email with the link "CR.txt"
    Subscription Administration generated this notification:
    The subscription CR.txt was created.
    Do not reply to this automated mail.
    but when I click on the link, it is not taking me to the document, it is deleting the subscription, the url getting generated is
    http://XXX/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.service?ServiceType=SubscriptionRepositoryService&Action=delete&ServiceID=subscription&StringOne=f02ce6d5-92d0-2710-6b92-cd4ceda062d1
    if you closely observe the url, the action is delete, hence it is deleting the subscription which has been created...
    Any help is highly appreciated

    are you talking about xml file or xsl file, xsl file does not have any create entry, xml file has it
        <textspan pEventid="create">The subscription <subscriptionlink/> was created.</textspan>
    we have checked with SAP, they said its a bug and fixed in SP12, we are looking for a workaround as we do not want upgrade the system now...

  • Forum subscriptions

    Have you ever replied to a post or started a new thread, or found an interesting discussion on the forum, only to not find it when you go to check for any further replies?
    We’ve thought about that and have a solution for you!
    You can subscribe to a thread (or indeed a whole board) by clicking on the dropdown called “Topic options” (or, for subscriptions at board level, it’s called “Board options”) and click on “Subscribe”.
    You will then receive an email notification when someone posts a new message.
    You can review how often you want to receive a notification by:
    Clicking on “My Settings”:
    Click on the “Subscriptions & Bookmarks” tab:
    Go to “Notification Settings”:
    You can then select from the dropdown for how often you want to be notified.

    Ouch.   We did some restructuring in the forum and moved a lot of threads and this broke subscriptions.  
    Apologies for that!
    I believe that the 14-16 different KitKat issues that Amy was working late last year have all made their way through to OTAs in Jan / Feb.
    Apologies for the inconvenience caused.  I really appreciate that you were using subscriptions and found value in participating here as a path to work with us in getting these issues understood and addressed.

  • Subscription/Notification Mail Content

    Hi all,
    I am encountering a problem regarding subscriptions. I have a subscription service running here wich should notify the user about changes made to threads(forum) to which he has subscribed (if someone reply a thread or create a new  thread, all other users should receive a e-mail notification). The e-mail notification is properly working (mails are sent), but the problem is the content of the mail. These users ONLY RECEIVE A LINK which refer to the new created thread or to the reply for a existing thread. Is there a way to receive the FULL CONTENT OF THE NEW POST?
    Can anyone please give me any suggestions? If anyone has any idea, it would be greatly appreciated and rewarded.

    I got a message running regarding this subject but have incountered a nother problem when I upgraded to patch 28 on a sp2. I'm almost sure the upgrade has solved the problem, but I cant verify it before the other problem is solved.

  • Push Notification Fix

    I had a problem getting both the Associated Press app push notifications working after recently upgrading from an AT&T 3Gs to a Verizon 4s.  The same day I upgraded, I reset my old phone (for sale on eBay) and installed AP on my new phone, and apparently Apple's Push Notification Service (APNS) got confused about what Device ID the app was installed on.   Bottom line, no amount of reinstalling iOS 5, reinstalling the app, etc. would fix the problem.
    Here's what I learned -- APNS will register the uninstall of the app after about a day (I waited 2 days just be sure).  Reinstalled, and was finally getting push notifications!  [Apparently you can manually set the date on your phone to the next day, reinstall the app and that can fix the problem too but I didn't try that.  I found this information trolling a site for developer's working on apps with push feature.]
    Hope this helps others -- I tried search for days and most articles had to do with hacktivation/jail breaking issues which didn't apply.

  • Email Subject in Subscription Notification - customize wording?

    we use EP6 NW04SPS11.
    Our users have discussions in Collaboration Rooms to which they can subscribe. Then they get an Email containing a link to the discussion.
    The Problem: in the email the word "subscription" is not really optimal, so we took the SUBSCRIPTIONADMIN_de.xml from etc/notifications to change the text in the mail body.
    But i can't find the place where the subject of the email is generated, there we always have the text "Subskription "<DiscussionTitle>". There had been an great discussion thread with doku about this but the Email Subject is still an open issue

    this is a little bit tricky, though.
    The subject is taken from a property file inside this JAR:
    <i>\usr\sap\{REL}\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\com.sap.km.cm.repository.service\private\lib\km.appl.repository.service.app.subscription_core.jar</i>
    When you open this JAR you'll find several translated property files. (Res_??.properties)
    Inside these files you'll find the mailing subjects.
    I'm not sure if this trick works...: Unzip the JAR, edit the file, zip the JAR. Test if this works...
    Maybe you'll have to redeploy the PAR (that contains the JAR). The PAR could be found here:
    <i>\usr\sap\{REL}\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\pcd\com.sap.km.cm.repository.service.par.bak</i>
    Simply rename the par from <i>.par.bak</i> to <i>.par</i> (after changing the JARs content) then restart the portal. This will redeploy the PAR, with its content. This should do it, if the first one doesn't...
    Puh...I guess this should do it.

    So, I would like to use skype to keep intouch with people where I used to live. 
    I took a look at the subscriptions from Skype and I would like to use the 400 bundle with mobile, because not all my friends are available on a fixed line. 
    I was wondering how this works?
    - so I buy 400 minutes and every minute I talk on a fixed line or mobile line will be deducted from my bundle.  
    - or when I buy 400 minutes it is worth like EUR. 45 and every minute I talk on a fixed line the price of calling to a fixed line will be deducted? And when I'm calling to a mobile phone the price of mobile will be deducted from my balance?
    I'm not sure about this and wasn't able to find the information on the site.
    Last question is about the payment options.
    On the site I can read that bank transfer is one of the payment options. But when I want to register a subscription the bank transfer option isn't there?

    If you purchase a subscription that includes 400 minutes per month for calling landline and mobile phones in a particular country, then your calling to that country will initially be deducted from that monthly allotment of minutes.  If you exceed the 400 minutes in a month, you would need to purchase Skype Credit to continue calling telephones in that country, until the next month's 400 minutes is available to your Skype account.  When using Skype Credit, there are generally different per-minute rates for calling landline phones vs. calling mobile phones.  Click on "Pay As You Go" below and enter the country you are interested in for the per-call rates to call that country, or click on "Subscriptions" to see all the options for a subscription to cover calling to that country.
    As for bank transfers, not all payment options are available in all countries.  Click on "Ways to pay" below to see which options are available in your country.

  • Subscription Notification on SLO warning/breach not working properly?

    Hi,
    We are using Service Manager 2012 SP1 for handling Incident management on a helpdesk.
    We are not seeing the email notifications for SLO's that are in warning or breached state.  The actual ticket shows the breach but we are not getting the notification.   We are getting other notifications so we know the email system is working.
    Attached is a screenshot showing the configuration of the subscription.  Does any body have any suggestions or ideas?

    Hi Lance
    From the screenshot above it looks like you're using the when created subscription which won't work for SLA information as they are updated to the statuses, not created with them.
    If you wish to use one subscription for both breached and warning then you can use the notify periodically with the above criteria and set to notify once however the best way of doing it is to create 2 subscriptions using when updated and set the from criteria
    to does not equal breached/warning and the to criteria to does equal breached/warning.

    How can I control the email notification process which automatically sends a copy of all replies to each thread in which I am participating?
    Right now I have taken the process for granted, letting it do it own thing, and am automatically getting email notification for all the threads in which
    I am participating. That is OK with me.
    Due to questions on email notification how to that I have received from others...
    How would I go about setting up the process so that I could pick and choose which thread replies should be send to me by
    email notification? Is there a thread subscription preference somewhere?
    And, how do I turn on and off email notification altogether if I wanted to do that?

    Click your avatar picture near the upper right corner (slightly to the left of the pencil) and select PREFERENCES then set all Email Preferences to OFF and click Save at the bottom left
    AND
    Another new "feature" is that Jive7 is oriented toward social networking... so every time you start or reply to a message you are automatically added to a FOLLOW list... meaning you receive a notification of every subsequent message in that thread
    Click the FOLLOW link at the upper right and select STOP FOLLOWING... and don't click the link again to check your status, as you will then be added to the CONNECTIONS STREAM and you will have to uncheck that option as well
    And, after you post in a message thread and select Stop Following, you need to do it all over again the next time you add a reply to the same message thread, since EVERY POST adds you to the automatic Follow list
