Forum to Post Redwood Queries

Hi All,
We are trying to configure Redwood basic version and have got some installation queries. Please let me know which is correct forum to post these questions.
Best regards,
Vithal

Hi Vithal,
Not sure on what documents you are looking for. Here are the sources for them.
1) Help document that comes along with Redwood Explorer. This is the best source.
2) There are couple of Venky's Blogs. One such is
"https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/80a4bb2b-0901-0010-b79d-8d4edbe9cf14?prtmode=navigate"
3) Search for "Redwood", "SAP Central Process Scheduling" ( new name by SAP) on SDN and you will get soem documents.
4) Ask your Account Manager from SAP and he can help with any additional stuff he may have.
5) Visit Redwood site. www.redwood.com and you can get some additional material.
6) Not sure if SAP Educational services in Asia has started offering educational courses (but they are available in North America and Europe). Just check with them.
7) If someone from your organization is goign to visit TechEd or other SAP events you will probably find a booth on Solution Extensions and can get some mroe material.
Not sure if there is any best practices document available. You probably want to check that SAP service desk, they might have it. I will check if I have URL for the same.
The best way to use the tool is to first imagine or draw what you want to do about a process. Kind of process map then create it using the tool. May be using Visio to draw that diagram is good option. The tool is best used when you explorer it with keeping a drawing of what you want to achieve  through the process.
I will recommend to avail one of the education classes from Redwood. That way you will know the tool much better and also will have additional material at hand.

  • NEW FORUM DESIGN: Post Feedback Here

Posting everything in one place will allow Comcast to better monitor what feedback is given.

andyross Member Since: ‎10-17-2003 Posts: 3,647 HORRIBLE Forum updateShare Topic Options Subscribe to this discussion  Are you deliberately trying to make the forums so hideous that nobody will use them? The subject text is so tiny, I can barely see it, plus it's virtually impossible to see the difference between read and unread. The subject listings have a huge amount of wasted space between them. You could double the number of on-screen lists (or shorten the scrolling) if you cut it down. There used to be a link on the right that would take me back to the Bookmarks page (what I use as a home page for these forums.) No easy way to get back there that I can see, other than directly from my browser bookmark. At least the text entry seems to properly work with Firefox.   Posted on :‎03-09-2015 05:22 PM    Kudos  0ReplyFollow Options      ResponsesReply     Posted byWelcome_to_Post Member Since: ‎07-02-2003 Posts: 5,381   *sigh*  Happens every.  Single. Posts are no longer numbered. About the only things that are good are that the toolbar features when replying now work with SeaMonkey and Firefox and other browsers AND the default font size seen when composing a reply is big enough to easily see instead of being teeny tiny as it was before. Yippee!!! No more nose prints on the screen when trying to see what I was composing.
Comcast employees must be authorized to post in the forum in an official capacity. Employees posting here have their names in red and are designated as employees. Names not in red are customers. This is done to protect customers and for assurance that they are dealing with a Comcast employee.
Non-Authorized Employees are allowed to post but cannot state they are employees nor can they allude to being employees.  Posted on :‎03-09-2015 06:40 PM    Kudos  0ReplyFollow Options        Posted byQueen-Evie Member Since: ‎02-04-2004 Posts: 14,621   Do me a favor. • Which specific forum to post my question?

    Hey Everyone,
I am trying to determine the correct forum to post my issue in. I have been noticing some class-loader issues recently in our log files under JDK 1.5, and I wanted to post my errors and start a deeper conversation if there were any solutions that exist.
Can anyone point me to the right forum to post my issue to?
    Thanks in advance!

This is a fairly complex question dealing with class-loaders, dead-locking in systems, etc.Class loading and dead-locks are pretty much related to the language.

  • Bug In Forum while posting new messages since weekend?

    Hi all,
some people have some trouble posting message since the update try on weekend.
Look at this thread Bug In Forum while posting new messages?
    Maybe this can be solved?
    Regards, Tine.

    Hello,
    >> Right, so I am not the only one.
No, you are not the only one.
    >> Maybe anybody of the responsible persons is reading this and can file a bug report.
I believe this is the proper place to complain - Community Feedback (No Product Questions) .
    @Scott:
    >> Also, I never saw any posting explaining why data was lost over the weekend, that efforts had been made to recover the lost data, or that efforts to recover the lost data had failed.
I absolutely agree with you. I know that the forum software is not developed by Oracle, still some words of explanation from the OTN guys is definitely in place, especially about the loss of data.

  • Is there a document which collects all this forum's posting?

Hi, again. Is there a document or a file which collects all this forum's posting?
It seems that it's just a waste of time to wait loading each article in the forum.
    Thanks.

Thanks. My original reason to ask above question is whether someone save a text file which contains all posting messages because I'd like to scroll one big text file to read questoins and answers in one place.
Would you give me more advice, if you know such a link or some site? Anyway, it's helpful to use google to save time. Thanks for saving my money(?). :)

  • How do I know which iPod forum to post in?

This might sound like a dumb question, but seriously, what is Apple (or the discussion board separations) calling my iPod? I have the iPod Photo 40GB – I got it only a few months after it was released.
Thanks, I want to be sure I know which part of the forum to post in so I don't get flamed.
    Thanks again!

"but doesn't that apply to just the new ones that all come with color display"
No. There are two forums that deal with iPods with color displays. Your iPod was originally called the iPod photo. Then Apple changed it to the iPod with color display. The correct forum for that used to be called "Using the iPod with Color Display (iPod photo)". Now it just reads iPod with Color Display.
The recent iPod is called the iPod 5th Generation, but is usually referred to as the iPod Video, and has it's own forum. Confused? Me too.
Anyway, it's no biggie if you post in the wrong forum. We just bite your head off! : )

  • Firefox crashes whenever I try to open a link from Facebook? I need somebody involved in the upgrade to help me, I don't want to go to a forum and post a question to a load of people when I have no idea if they are qualified to give me advice!

I updated Firefox to the latest release on 1/8/12. Now every time I click on a link to go to youtube, zynga or other links on Facebook, Firefox crashes. I would love to be able to go back to the Firefox I had before 1/8/12, but I cannot find out how to do that. I have almost zero knowledge of computer software and how it all works, the "error reports" and the mumbo=jumbo that people talk about on the "forums" mean nothing to me, I just want an edition of Firefox that works so I don't have to go back to using IE8.

I'm sorry, but simply posting links to pages full of technical information will do nothing to help me. For example, I have no idea what safe mode is, or how to achieve it. I need step-by-step instructions in the form of "an idiots guide to"......

  • What's Going On With This Forum? Posted comments wait for a moderator

They wait, and wait, and wait, and wait.
Whose policy is this to screen everything before allowing posts to show up? Is that a Toshiba policy? What is Toshiba afraid of? If this is a Toshiba policy, I object. I object very strongly. Strongly enough that I'm just about tempted to pack up the mini notebook and ship it back to B&H and buy a different brand where the manufactor doesn't censor the support forum.
Let's see if this shows up.

    Hello Edmund
To be honest I don't understand your question. As I can see you have posted 40 times until now.
Be honest and tell us how often you saw message like this:
*Please note, your reply will need to be approved by a moderator before it is posted in the forum.*
Probably first time now. I have noticed that sometimes forum is closed for postings but there must be some reason why moderator do this. At the moment you can write what you want.
There is no reason for panic or comments about Toshiba policy.
Every serious forum has own policy and this forum is more than serious. Isnt it?
So it is nothing unusual and it can be done due to some technical or any other reason.
Look a little bit what people write here and you will find very critical postings but nothing is blocked or edited by Toshiba so I think this forum is free and democratic. Your posting is also published.
In my opinion it is the best evidence that your critic and opinion about this forum and Toshiba forum policy is completely unjustified. Do you agree with me?
    Good luck!

  • What forum to post on?

Hi.  I'm looking for suggestions as to which forum I should post this question on (the choices are daunting, there are so many forums!).
I want to know if there is any way within Crystal 11 to pull comupter system information up into a report.  Specifically, I want to have a field within the report that displays the machine name so that I can track it back to the laptop it was printed from.
    Appreciate your help,
    Thanks,
    Tim

Everything which has no other clear place or responsibility lands with basis.
So post it in the basis forum... good luck!

  • Are meta/forum help posts encouraged?

In this thread, I unnecessarily bumped the thread, in promoting the forum rule of adding [SOLVED] to the title of solved threads. Was making this recommendation the responsibility of the forum mods, and should I have PM'd the user, or done nothing at all?
I found nothing in the rules and wiki about this.

Awebb wrote:Rules suck. Just go with the flow and use common sense.
Agreed!  Some are needed, but the fewer the better.
As for my unofficial recommendation, yes, please do encourage other users to follow our community standards rather than reporting it to mods/admins.  I say this not because I am lazy ... I mean I am, but that's not why I say it.  Rather I say this because this is our community.  Mods are just community members who have the occasionally necessary option to move threads around and edit posts.

  • Forum ate posts from IE9 Beta

I tried to post a reply to a thread using IE9 Beta, and the text of the post was completely eaten. The post itself still appeared though, just without any body. Seems a pretty disastrous issue, as when you press "back" you won't get the message box filled in as you would with most other sites. So if you forgot to backup your text to the clipboard, you'll have to remember what you wanted to say before switching to another browser. Could someone look at this? I know IE9's still in beta but it shouldn't break with simple forum code...
The posting experience was broken too - clicking in the text box doesn't move the cursor so you have to use the keyboard. It won't even register clicks at all except for a tiny region at the top-left of the box.

    Try it in compatibility mode

when i post a message that contains an accent, like the letter n in spanish, safari ignores the letters that come after it
Anyone got this problem and anyone knows a solution to this??

Yes, Safari has problems with accented characters.

There are to my knowledge only two solutions, and you will not like either of them:
    1. Use another browser.
    2. Wait for the next version of Safari 3 for Windows.
