Forums Address in Outlook Express

Is there any News Group or forums that can be used in Microsoft Outlook Express? it's just like the address: news.microsoft.com, using in Outlook Express, so we can read the news and discussions easily.

it is difficult to explain. All my received email is addressed to:undisclosed recipients and not to my name. I do have "undisclosed recipients" in my address book with my email address. I do this so I can send an email, putting all recipients in BCC not revealing their addresses. Evidently when I synced my computer email addresses to my Iphone, "undisclosed recipients" was picked up for my name. How do I correct this?

HT1296 how do I transfer my email addresses from outlook express to iphone3GS

How do I transfer email contacts from outlook express running on XP to my Iphone 3GS as I do not seem to be able to do it via itunes

Contacts available with Outlook Express are stored in a separate address book application called Windows Contacts. This is selected under the Info tab for the iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.

Import mail and address from outlook express

I had a PC and used outlook express as mail software.
I have copy the outlook express database (files .dbx like address.dbx, inbox.dbx, ...) on my new mac and I want to import all my files and messages.
How could I do this.

Thank you for your response.
I already tried it. I used File/Import a mailbox ..., then "Mail" offer me to choose the software I used, and I had the choice to run Mcrosoft Entourage, Outlook Express, ... and others.
Then I went to the place where I have stocked the .dbx files.
But mail seems not to be able to read it.
Do you know how to read .dbx librairies with Mail ?

Outlook Express dropping recipient address with mailto:

Sites with mailto: links are not passing through the recipient address to Outlook Express with Firefox 5. This problem has persisted for at least 4 months now and a fix was promised months ago. I am running 5.0.1 on a PC with Windows XP. Outlook Express does execute, but the new message window does not open and of course nothing is filled in.

Could you post the webpage, and the reference to the problem and where a solution in the works. Is it a problem only with XP because I've never run into such a problem. If people had to adjust their settings for it to work then use of mailto would not be practical to use at all.
The only problem I've had was with the use of Redirect remover but that was a long time ago, the problem could be bypassed and it was fixed by the extension author. Does the problem happen in Safe Mode if it doesn't then that would mean that an extension is probably the cause.

How to import Outlook Express WAB into TB

I copied a WAB file that was exported from Outlook Express in a Windows XP machine onto the desktop of a different computer running Windows 7 Home Premium. I then clicked on import > address book> Outlook Express file. It says done, but it never finds the WAB to import and the new address book it created is empty. Where do I need to place the old WAB file for TB to import it? Or, am I doing something else wrong?

No doubt, it is very simple process to import Outlook Express DBX to PST file. If you do not want to invest money, then do it manually. The given link will help you, follow the steps-

Outlook Express Newsgroups

Up until recently, I was able to subscribe to Adobe forums newsgroups using Outlook Express. Now all I get is a 502 error when using adobeforums.com as the server. If I use my Internet provider's newgroups there are no messages. I've tried resetting but that didn't work. The groups I am interested in are adobe.photoshop.elements and adobe.photoshop. elements.tips.tricks.

Unfortunately, support for NNTP-based newsgroups was removed when Adobe transitioned to the new forum software. Instead, you can choose to subscribe using email or RSS fees (though most people find those alternatives distinctly inferior, and there are dozens of complaints on the Adobe Forums forum about the issue).

Clicking on an email address on a webpage, opens outlook express, but does not create a new mail, which it used to. annoying as it then means cutting & pasting the details

As I said above, clicking on an email address on a webpage, opens outlook express which is my default email client. In the past it used to also open a new mail, ready for me to type the message but now it does not. It works if I load internet explorer as the browser but does not in firefox. I prefer firefox, so can someone help me resolve this. Its so annoying to have to open a new mail then cut & paste the email details.

I had the same problem. Initially thought I needed a string (code) to run the "Create new e-mail" command for Outlook but I didn't. I did a few things that eventually made it work, but I don't know for certain which one it was so here goes.
1.) Go to Control Panel and click on Internet Properties. Go to the Programs tab and double-check that Outlook Express is your default e-mail client. (This is probably for IE).
2. Close Outlook Express. Select the RUN command from the Start Menu and type the following: <msimn /reg>. Only type the info between the brackets. Click the OK button and wait about 5 seconds. Nothing will happen on screen but the information is being silently written to the registry.
3. Open Outlook Express and go to the Tools Menu. Select Options. On the General tab, look down to the Default Messaging Programs. More than likely, the top option will say that "This application is NOT the default Mail handler" Click the button next to it that says "Make Default". This should trigger an available option in Firefox, below, if it was not already available.
4. In Firefox, go to the Tools menu. Select Options. Click on Applications. Under the column, "Content Type" look for the mailto function. In the column Action, select "Use Outlook Express (default)" if it is not already selected. "(default)" must be part of the phrase. Somehow there is code behind this option that will bring up a new e-mail in Outlook that otherwise does not work if Outlook is selected manually. (To choose Outlook manually, you will indeed have to find the string code somewhere.)

Corrupted Address Book in Outlook Express

My father's note running XP, has suddenly decided that the address book in outlook express (ie6)is corrupt and it must be re-installed. I have looked around the web and this seems to be a fairly common problem, however the correction of
this seems fairly complex, surely Microsoft must have come up with a quick fix to this problem, especially as it seems of their making, what with faulty updates and the complexity of outlook and outlook express.
Please does anyone have a simple resolution to this problem, that we both can understand.

Importing Windows Outlook Express address book

I have been trying to import an Outlook Express address book (which is stored on a DVD) to MS Entourage with not much luck
I can't seem to find an 'option' to import an external address book.
The only options available seem to be to import Entourage docs/archives etc.
Can anyone help?

I've been looking into this myself and there are a number of possibilities. You can't just import an address book but importing all your contacts can be done. Search discussions here for the topic (the Mail and Address Book forum has stuff on getting contacts out of Outlook) and also Google the web, there are several threads elsewhere. There are even shareware utilities to help.
Also look under Mac 101: Shifting From PC in the Support section here. Apple has a little bit to say on it, although not terribly helpful to me.

Use Desktop Manager > Sync.
Setup Outlook Express to sync with your device in Desktop Manager > Sync > Confgure. Find and select Outlook Express as the sync partner to your BlackBerry handheld address book.

Accessing Outlook Calendar & ToDo's on PC using Outlook Express Address Book

How can I setup Outlook in the BB Desktop Manager so I can use it synch my calendar and To Do's? I'm synching my address book from Outlook Express just fine. But the system isn't seeing Outlook. Why?

I am not sure you can sync to both, simultaneously.
In your Desktop Manager > Sync settings, do you see your Outlook as a choice?

Bb not syncing with outlook express address book

From the desktop manager, it seems to sync fine, no error messages. But nothing new is appearing on the address book in Outlook Express. Shouldn't the phone numbers and etc. copy into the outlook contact list as well? HELP!
