Forums no longer a highly visible link in the "Learning" section?

The majority of help happens in the forums. Users helping users is a valuable asset to Adobe. This is not clearly as good as purchasing a support request (for Adobe or the user) but removing the forum link and placing it in the footer will definitely cut down on forum traffic making it much less valuable.
I would like to see the link restored so users can find the community of people available to help and discuss Adobe products.

Hi, sinious,
Thanks for the feedback--and for all the work you do on our community forums.  We agree that Adobe forums help loads of people, with millions viewing discussions each month.
There is a link to forums in the Community Learning section of the learning page (http://www.adobe.com/learning/).  The link is labeled "Ask the Community Forums."  But I'll share your feedback back with the team to make it more prominent.

  • No download link in the download section.

    I ordered the upgrade to Flash Builder 4.7 more than 24 hrs ago. It appears that the order has been processed but there is no download link in the downloads section.
    Is there any way to contact Adobe about the problem?

    Jim Rozell Flash Builder 4.7 Premium is now offered as part of the Creative Cloud.  This is why the trial page link refers you to https://creative.adobe.com/products/flash-builder.
    If you have purchased Flash Builder 4.7 Premium from Adobe directly then it should be available under your account at http://www.adobe.com/.  If it is not available then please contact our support team directly using the link provided by Ned in message #1.
    You can also download the installer for Flash Builder 4.7 by following the directions listed at http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-direct-download-links.html.  Please make sure to complete the Very Important Instructions prior to scrolling down the page and clicking on the download link.

  • How to create a link in the head section of BC template?

    Can anyone please explain so that even I can understand the reason why the following script does not work as I would expect?
    I am trying to append a line of html code to the <head> section of a Page Template.
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function loadScript() {
    if(window.location.href.indexOf("fish") > -1) {
    alert("the url contains the string fish");
    var csslink = document.createElement("link");
    csslink.setAttribute("rel", "canonical");
    csslink.setAttribute("type", "text/css");
    csslink.setAttribute("href", "http://www.xyz.com/fish/herring");
    document.getElementsByTagName("head")[0].appendChild(csslink);
    window.onload = loadScript();
    </script>
    Secondly if one cannot append to the <head> can one append to the <body> ?
    Any help appreciated.
    Kind regards

    Hello peterwulf,
    Looks like you're missing a } above the widow.onload. That should fix it.

  • Why are my iphone4S and ipad3 no longer being seen in finder under the devices section

    I am new to the Apple ecosystem and for the most part I have fallen in love with it, I have had my fill of the PC era and was on the verge of a mental breakdown using them. Well I bought a MBP 13" an ipad3 and I have an iPhone 4s. When I first got these items I was able to drag and drop files like a movie that I own and copied to the hard drive. This was done in finder, under the devices section it would show my phone and my ipad however after I installed the latest iTunes software it seems that this has disapeared and now I cannot find my devices in the finder area to drag and drop these files anymore. So, my question is this, has Apple done away with this function and if so how can I drag and drop a file to the ipad3 now? Thank you all for your help.

    Care to share which OS system you are using?

    There are tons of informations missing here, for instance (but not limited to) the exact forms version you are using (note: 10g is not a version, but 10.1.2.0.2 is). Without Version informations a correct answer is not possible
    You might want to go through the links from the Announcement entitled "<a href=http://forums.oracle.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=432>Before posting on this forum please read </a>" which contains links to the documentation and instructions on how to post proper questions for example.

  • How to Identify titles that have lost the link to the music file/folder..

    Is there a way of listing all the Music titles that no longer have a valid link to the source file and deleting them. I am afraid in my previous inexperience i inadvertently messed things up while trying to organise... ehum... Anyway, trying to organise again hopefully with more success now. Any help gratefully received. Thanks.

    TT2's +*lost & found+* will work.
    another option might be this app:
    _*Music Folder Files Not Added v2.0*_
    This application will list the file paths of the files in your designated "iTunes Media" folder which are not in iTunes' library. Additionally, you can select a different parent folder and its contents will be compared to the iTunes library. Options to Add a selection of found files to iTunes or move them to the Trash.

  • 6D vs 5d-mk3 for long exposure high ISO

    Some on line info of unkown accuracy shows the 6D has better long exposure high ISO performance. This is known as amp glow.
    The intended usage would be for astro phorotgraphy or night photgraphy where 30 second exposures at ISO1600 and up are required.
    I already have a 5D-mk3 comming for evaluation where I will compare it to my 1DS-mk3. But I thought this is a good question for this forum. It seems strange that the lower cost camera would have supperior performance.
    Anyone have personal experince or a technical explanation? Or is the information incorrect?
    The same info also shows a vast improvement over the 1DS-mk3 and 5D-mk2

    I know this topic is long dead, but somehow I was searching more comparisons at night shooting scenario between 6d vs 5dm3 and came across that topic (also in this forums here).
    I think that below article comparing 6d to 5dm3 (and later also to 5dm2) at iso 3200 & 6400 with 15 sec & 30 sec exposure time, shows pretty good results in favor of 6D. the maker of that comparison also intended to use 6D camera for astrophotography.

  • High latency Links

    We have a branch office that has about 220ms of latency between it and head office. The branch is composed of about 15 client machines (Windows 7 desktops and laptops). We have been struggling with application performance across this link. The Branch office has a 2Mbps MPLS connection and head office has a 50Mbps MPLS connection. Because of the Latency and BDP we get horrible throughput and rarely reach 2Mbps. Increasing the bandwidth to this site would not have much affect I don't think. One thing that was suggested was getting a second 2Mbps MPLS connection there and routing certain traffic over each each pipe. Idea is that we can double the throughput by having 2 separate pipes rather than 1 larger pipe.
    My question is, does anyone have any experience with this sort of setup? Will this improve overall performance to the site?

    Yes, I have lots of experience (supporting international WAN links).
    No, I don't see a 2nd pipe being better than one twice as large.  If fact, it can be detrimental.  However, the killer in these situations is the distance based latency which isn't "fixed" by adding bandwidth.
    For distance based latency, there's no 100% "fix" beyond "just don't do it".  If possible, use local resources especially for "interactive" network access.  WAAS/WAFS, with their "tricks", can mitigate much of the distance latency impact (basically the most benefit comes from local caching which avoids the WAN's RTT).
    For long distance throughput, you want to avoid any drops (because of slow error recovery) and need to have (for TCP apps) the receiving host's RWIN support (available) BDP.  This is difficult to manually optimize, although often, on older hosts, you need to increase their RWIN to allow a TCP flow to utilize all available bandwidth.  Again, WAAS/WAFS or dynamic traffic shapers can do "tricks" to optimize throughput (basically they often spoof the connection across the WAN link so you don't need to adjust a host's RWIN).
    QoS can keep bulk transfers from disrupting interactive applications, which can make a noticeable improvement.
    Bulk transfers, w/o WAN acceleration, can be faster if concurrent flows (not multiple links) are used.  This because the high distance based RTT slows how fast a TCP flow will initially increase it's flow rate and/or (especially) recover its transmission rate when there's packet loss.
    PS:
    BTW, different hosts, with different "vintage" TCP stacks and/or file processing logic, can fare quite differently across a high latency network.

  • With version 3.6.3 I can no longer do a right click with the mouse and check the properties of a live url link on web pages

    Windows XP Pro, SP3. Firefox 3.6.3. Ever since updating to this version a few weeks ago I can no longer do a right click of the mouse and check the properties of an active url link on webpages. I've always had the option before. I want this feature back!!!!

    In Firefox 3.6 Properties has been removed from the right click context menu.
    You can use ''View Image Info'' or ''View Page Info'' in the right click context menu to see the (image) properties.
    You can use the above mentioned extension (Element Properties 6) to get that context menu item back.

    any idea on how I can do that?
    LSMW and recordings do not work (or at least I did not find a way to make them work);
    have you encountered such a situation?

  • Dashboard Links At the top of Screen visibility

    Hi,
    When I enter as a Presentation Catalog Administrator to Answers, I can not see the some dashboard links at the top of screen. But I have access right to enter them.
    Is there any configuration about the visibility of the links of dashboards at the top of the screen.
    Thanks.
    Edited by: user10137960 on 02.Ara.2009 05:16

    As Administrator Go to Setting - Administrator - Manage Interactive Dashboards.
    Choose a dashboard that you are not able to see and click on the permissions button. Check if the Presentation Server Administrators has Full Controll access to the dashboard. If not, try adding it.

  • How to select for insert a long column through database link?

    How may a long column (for example a sql server 2000 text column) be selected for insert into a clob column in table in 10g over a database link without invoking ora-00997?
    I've tried using dbms_metadata_util.long2clob without success over a database link.

    Is the remote database an Oracle database? Or are you selecting data from SQL Server 2000 over a database link via Heterogeneous Services? What is the data type of the column in the remote database (LONG? TEXT? Something else?)?

    Is this some user specific setting that I've accidentally activated, or has the forum lost some functionality?

    It just seems like Richard is not using the right way to embed a URL in the forum which is something like this:
    Oracle UI Shell Functional Pattern
    basically [ then url= and here the url then ] the some text and then a closing tag which is [ followed by / and url and ]

  • Patch 121081-06 (sparc) is broke and Patch 121082-06 (x86) too

    This patch contains the CACert.pem but it does not get copied to destination directory. After patchadd runs, you are left with the old CACert.pem in the directory, and this breaks cc-transport from signing into the Sun SSL site.
