Forward Auction

Hi all,
I am Raghu, working in SRM domain. I am facing an issue in mapping the current process of selling the scrap generated. Customer is interested in selling the scrap material by means of an auctions.
I understand that the 'Reverse Auctions' in SRM is with ref. to procurement & not selling. Now I am looking for an option like forward auction where in I can sell the scrap generated through an auction.
Can anyone please help me in this regards? Is there any add on to SRM to serve the purpose?

Hi Raghu,
There is no concept of forward auction in SRM50. As per my knowledge there is no add on to SRM, which can give you this functionality.

A Dutch auction is a type of auction where the auctioneer begins with a high asking price which is lowered until some participant is willing to accept the auctioneer's price, or a predetermined reserve price (the seller's minimum acceptable price) is reached. The winning participant pays the last announced price. This is also known as a "clock auction" or an open-outcry descending-price auction.
A Reverse auction (also called procurement auction, e-auction, sourcing event, e-sourcing or eRA) is a type of auction in which the role of the buyer and seller are reversed, with the primary objective to drive purchase prices downward. In an ordinary auction (also known as a forward auction), buyers compete to obtain a good or service. In a reverse auction, sellers compete to obtain business.

I think most of your questions have already been answered.
Regarding the difference from SAP SRM, the E-Sourcing product is Java based and it takes lesser time to setup.
Configuration is through the UI.
Functionally, the benefits are very similar between ES and SRM - however E-Sourcing additionally supports Contract Document Authoring and Forward Auctions.
From the technical configuration point, Java and SQL skills are needed for customizations.
Also ES is available as an On-demand product.

Auction Outbid Notices specify wrong timezone

Hello,
We have set our server time to UTC.
We also set following two system properties and restarted Java server:
system.default.timezone=UTC
system.master_timezone=UTC
However we are still getting Auction Outbid Notices which specify wrong timezone i.e. PKT. How should we resolve this problem ? Please check sample Notice that we are getting shown below.
Subject: ABC, Inc. Auction Outbid Notice Auto forwarded by a Rule
Dear Test,

Suppliers default time zone is set to GMT+8
I checked companies i.e. Setup --> Organization and Accounting Information --> Companies. Navigate doen to the other info section and
that is set to GMT-5 (i.e US EST)
But why outbid notice is getting PKT (i.e GMT+5) ??
Just FYI we are using Sourcing 7.0 SP2.

SRM Live Auction Configuraton

I am working on SRM 5.0. I am unable to start Live Auction Cockpit. Can any one guide me how to configure SRM 5.0 Live Auction Cockpit. If you people have any document regarding this please forward to my personal Id : [email protected]

500 Internal Server Error -- java.lang.RuntimeException:

Using Config tool we have configured the following parameters earlier
jco.client.client = 200
jco.client.user = basadm (user created in client 200 and assigned sap_all and SAP_new*)
jco.client.password = password of basadm
jco.client.mshost = hostname of SRM system
jco.client.ashost = hostname of SRM system
jco.client.sysnr = 01
For this configuration we can able to start live auction cockpit but unable to display the auction. I am getting Authourization error to display/process that auction.
We also tried with following parameters
jco.client.client = 001
jco.client.user = J2ee_admin (default user in client 001 and assigned roles only for Java Applications)
jco.client.password = password of Java user
jco.client.mshost = hostname of SRM system
jco.client.ashost = hostname of SRM system
jco.client.sysnr = 00
At this stage we are unable to start the Java Engine(Server0 process not starting).
Can i have your personal ID so that i can provide document of my problem.

Live auction Bid rules.

During Auction Creation, In Basic data tab, we have the option to create "User defined biding rules" at Auction rules.

Thanks for your quick response. Your document helps to how to create an live auction. But my requirement is different.we can create auction with different rules. SAP has provided 4 rules .
1. Overall Best Bid - English Auction
2. Best Bid From Each Bidder - Blind Bidding Rank-Only
3. Best Bid From Each Company - Company Best Bid
4. User defined bidding rules - Customer specific
While creation of bid you can choose any one of these options. for first 3 options SAP has provide some ruling.
But for 4th one customer has to define the rules while bidding.
My requirement is to define rules for bidding.
How to define these rules and where to define these rules so that if I select the 4th option while creating the live auction these rules will effect in live auction.

Rewards Auctions = Horrible

By the looks of other posts, everyone else is having an issue with the Rewards Auctions. Thanks for giving us points but if you can't actually use them, what's the point? I don't want to use points to get a discount on a gift card or other merchandise. If you earn points for spending money with Verizon, we should be able to use them to actually purchase items with 100% points, like other really great rewards programs. Take a look at Marriott Rewards and see what I'm talking about. Verizon needs to fix this or just get rid of the program all together. Absolutely horrible. In my opinion, it's the worst rated rewards program of all time.
If anyone from Verizon wants to send me a generic, calculated reply, I'll look forward to it.

The "Gift Card Deals" are for the most point 10% off. Not much at all.
The "Local Deals" are from Entertainment Book, and local coupon magazines/mailings have similar deals.
The extended time auctions are just insane.

User-Defined Bidding Rule in Auction

Has anyone used the User_Defined Bidding Rule in Auctions ? We could not find enough documentation on this.

Hi,
There is no standard functionality to achieve this. I can suggest a way using 3 KF.
KF1 - This should have a disagg type 'P' and based on KF Sales Order.
KF2 - This should have a disagg type 'P' and based on prop ref KF.
KF3 - This will be the sum of KF1 & KF2. This should have disagg type 'N' - No Calculation.
Load KF1 with Sales Order value or the Planned Demand whichever is lesser in your example this will have a value of 100. Load this at the highest level, so that it disaggregates based on the Sales Order at the detailed level.
KF2 = Planned Demand - Sales Order. Load this also at the highest level so that it disaggregates based on the Prop Ref factors you will have defined.
KF3 = KF1 + KF2. We should do this at the detailed level so that disaggregation from KF1 and KF2 is carried forward into this. All of these functions can be achieved thru macros available in the Planning books.
Based on the freq of change, you can decide to run it in background once a day or make it a at Save macro in the planning books.
I am confident this will serve your purpose.

CUPC 8.6 call forward to voicemail

Hi!
I am using Cisco Personal Communicator (CUPC) 8.6 and also CUCM 8.6. I have CUPC in Deskphone mode, connected to a 6945 IP Phone. I also have Unity Connection where my voicemail box is hosted. When I want to setup call forward to voicemail button in cupc option, it is not working. CUPC will not handle the options I setup seconds before. If I manually put in a call forward to extension number of voice mail pilot call forwarding is working. also call forwarding to my mobile is working.
I checked End User settings, IP Phone is associated to my user, also CTI controll is enabled on device and line settings. user privileges are correct. I tried it on jabber client where it works fine. I also restarted CTI and Callmanager Services on the Servers.
Does anyone has an Idea if this is a general bug in CUPC or does anyone can tell me what the problem might be?

Hi,
If at least one of these phones is set to CF to VM then it will, if not, then no.
If none of your phones is set to CF to VM CUCM will not send them to VM, that is expected, if you need to ring, phone A, and if it is not answered to go to phone B, C... and so on, and send the caller to VM after you have reached all of these then use a hunt group, (the pilot can be set to CF to VM if nobody answers), if you need to ring all phones at the same time so someone can pick this up, use a hunt group with a broadcast logic.
If this is for a single user, check 'single number reach' (SNR) or mobility on CUCM.
Bottom line, there is no way to send a caller to VM if none of the phones is set to CF to VM.

thanks for the response, but i have already tried those transactions.
FK10N will give me the periodic bal statements and NOT line items display which will also have balance carried forward.
F.41 and F.43 again gives the periodic and line items...but i want the vendor balances to be in the format given above..
like say, account statement.

GR/IR Clearing for - Landing and Clearing & Forwarding Charges

We would like to do GR/IR Clearing for previous year using Transaction code MR11. For Qty and Value difference, clearing
is happenging successfully. But for conditions eg. Landing Charges or Clearing & forwarding charges, MR11 is not picking
the open items from GR/IR Account.
how can lines of conditions can be cleared from GR/IR GL.

How can I move an e-mail forwarded as an attachment into my inbox?

I recently migrated from MS Outlook 2003 to Thunderbird 24.4.0 for my personal e-mail because I can't afford the latest MS Outlook and wouldn't really want version 2013 anyway. Prior to the migration, any time someone sent me a personal e-mail at work, I would forward it home as an attachment and move that attachment into my inbox at home. In Thunderbird, I find that when I drag the e-mail attachment from the attachment section to the Inbox folder (the actual folder in the navigation pane or the list of e-mails in the inbox), I get the unavailable symbol (circle with slash through it). I am guessing this is not going to be something I can do in Thunderbird, but wanted to check here and see if anyone had other ways to get the same end result.
The reason I have done this historically is to preserve the original e-mail and have the mail client show me who sent it to me. Viewing the forwarded message is fine, but if I want to look for it later, I have to look for a forwarding e-mail from myself instead of the original message that was sent to me.
Beyond getting people to use my personal address (really not sure why/how they have my work one), does anyone have any advice that could make this happen? For the record, I also tried resending the e-mail to my personal address as if it were from the original sender, but that won't fly at work due to the security configuration in the Exchange server.

Save the attachment, and give it an eml extension if it doesn't have one (messages attached to TB messages are named 'Attached Message'), then drag the eml file from the Explorer folder where you saved it and drop it on a TB folder in the Folder Pane.

Is your document a PDF?
Did you have it open in Reader or Acrobat Prod?
Can you log into https://files.acrobat.com/ and search for your document?
If your document is a PDF, you can open it in Adobe Reader and you can send the file using Adobe SendNow
Select 'Tools' from the top bar
In the right hand panel select 'Send Files'
Click on 'Sign In' - you will be prompeted to enter your Adobe ID and password
Enter an email address into the To field
Option: Fille out the Subject and Message fields
Select Send Link button

how to delete the number saved in CALL FORWARDING list? seems like the number cannot be deleted in CALL FORWARDING list, i tried several times...
he thing is, here are three numbers in the call forwarding list, one of them were set up by mistake, and none of them can be deleted.......it brothers me all the time. i already turn it off, but the number list is still there...

The image you have uploaded is unable to be displayed.
Call Forwarding is a carrier controlled feature. Most likely, the number you see could be for the Voice Mail server.
It's advised you call your mobile service provider to further assist with this feature.
