Forward Button

Hi all,
The simplified version of my question is: How do I apply a forward button to my menu?
The detailed version is:
So I have a DVD with a sub-menu. That sub-menu automatically has a left arrow on it so I can get back to the Main Menu. I want to add a sub-menu to that sub-menu and would like a right arrow to go to it.
If I find the theme (Library/Application Support/iDVD/Themes/iDVD 5/Sliding Panes and right-click Show Package Contents), and go to:
Contents/Resources/PanesForwardButton.Media.pox/Contents/Material
there is a Forward Button already designed.
How do I apply it to my menu?

The fake way is how I am doing it.
My *Main Menu* has the *Play All* version (4 movies put together with chapter markers).
*Sub-menu 1* has 2 of the movies.
- Now in *Sub-menu 1* iDVD automatically gives it a *Left Arrow* button. This arrow button directs you to the main menu.
The other 2 movies I want in a different Sub-menu.
Now I want to add *Sub-menu 2* to *Sub-menu 1*.
Instead of adding a text button that says next or something like that, I would like the button that links *Sub-menu 1* to *Sub-menu 2* to but a *Right Arrow*.
iDVD already has this arrow designed if you follow the directories from my original post and this is the only way you can use it:
http://support.apple.com/kb/TA23052?viewlocale=en_US
Unfortunately I don't have enough movies to warrant an additional automatic sub-menu.
*I just want to know how I can add the* Right Arrow button *to the list of buttons in iDVD for use.*
One guy has figured out how to add custom buttons to iDVD 5 (http://creativemac.digitalmedianet.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=31517) but things have changed for iDVD 6.
So I guess the question really is: *How do I add custom buttons in iDVD 6?*
Sorry it wasn't clear the first time - it was too late for me to be thinking about it.

  • The back and forward buttons on Logitech mouse don't work

My logitech performance MX back and forward buttons don't work. I tried in safe mode and they still don't work. I tried creating a custom shortcut in logitech setpoint and that didn't work either. I tried using the native mouse driver and not logitech. No luck.
I really like this functionality. Is there a way to enable these buttons?

    Hi mike,
i'm not sure if this will help but how about this add-on called "Vimperator". It is easy to use and works like vim. (Try this as an alternate till we figure out the problem) :)
    Hope that helped.

  • With version 5 of Firefox, if I open more than 1 session, most of the time I cannot see anything in the navigation bar and my back and forward buttons do not work.

I open 1 session of Firefox 5.0.1 and everything seems to work fine. Then I open a second session of Firefox and most of the time the navigation bar does not show the page that I am on and the back and forward buttons do not work. When this happens, the first session always remains working. I am an internet marketer so I have at least 2 or 3 sessions going at any given time.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

  • On Firefox 4, how can I put one "new tab" on the "tab bar" (The + sign) and one next to the "back/forward" buttons (as in FF 3.6)?

On Firefox 4, how can I put one "new tab" on the "tab bar" (The + sign) and one next to the "back/forward" buttons (as in FF 3.6)?
In my current Firefox, the "new tab" icon/item from the "customize" pop-up window menu of items is placed next to my home, back, forward buttons near the top-left of my header (Button 1 for "new tab"). Then, the tab bar automatically come with a small tab (with a + sign) to the right of your last tab opened (so you click on + and a new tab opens. Button 2 for "new tab"). I like to have this "new tab" button twice (as a + mini tab, and next to my "home icon".
When I upgraded to Firefox 4, I seemed to be only able to "customize" or use the "new tab" in one place. Either as an icon next to home button, or as a "+ minitab", but NOT both.
What can I do to put this button in Firefox 4 on BOTH places???
Your help is really appreciated. I want to upgrade, but I want my buttons on both places...
I upgraded to FF 4, but downgraded again just because this feature... that's just me of coarse :-)

  • How do I go back to my old version of Firefox. 4 does not allow me to use two finger mousepad control to expand or contract my screen. Also I don't like the lack of a drop-down arrow next to the back/forward buttons.

I don't like to have to click and drag to see the drop down history of the back/forward buttons - this requires two fingers or a double tap and hold finger motion. MUCH easier to click and release and take my time to pick the screen I want to go back to, then click on that link with a separate motion.
I especially don't like that I can no longer expand and contract the screen with two finger motion on my mousepad!!!
Generally, I don't see any advantage to the new layout - and I have a slight preference to having my tabs closer to the screen rather than above the address bar, since I more frequently click on tabs than on the address bar. If you want to improve the view I would recommend combining the very topmost bar which is part of the window surround with the File Edit etc bar (and please keep File, Edit, View History, etc separated instead of putting them into a dropdown). This will allow the viewer one more line of text on a given webpage, and eliminate the wasted space which is only used to identify the window as FF and provide the close window buttons
PLEASE help me go back to the old version. It was perfect.

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.
For details of how to find your profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

  • How can I make appear the arrow-button that showed the recent history of a same tab (next to back and forward buttons)?

for instance, if I searched a word on google, then clicked on a certain page of the results, then inside that page I entered a link, etc if I wanted to "go back" directly to the instance of google searching I could click on this arrow-button and I would be able to choose that exact moment instead of clicking several times on the "back" till I reached the desired past page

The arrow to open the tab history of the Back and Forward buttons has been removed in Firefox 4 and later.
Use one of these methods to open the tab history list:
    * Right click on the Back or Forward button
    * Hold down the left mouse button on the enabled Back or Forward button until the list opens
You can look at this extension:

  • The back/forward buttons on the tool bar only go one page at a time. I used to be able to click a drop-down and select how far back/forward I wanted to go. How can I get that back

I can only navigate back/forward one page at a time. The drop down box that used to allow me to see the recent pages and select the page I wanted to go to was immediately to the right of the "forward" button. I can right click over the forward/back buttons and get the dropdown list of recent sites.

Use right-click on the back/forward buttons to bring up the context menu, the drop down was never needed, and I had suppressed it for a long time to save space.

  • I would like to move the reload button off of the location bar. I would also like to have a visible "forward" button as well as the back button.

Simple as that. Given that I have OCD, it's extremely unpleasant to have both the forward and back buttons not consistently visible. How can I return to that appearance?
I also want to separate the reload button from the location bar, as I had it before the update. I find myself reloading pages quite often, and having the button be smaller, and within the location bar, is well... kinda counter-intuitive.
Ideally, I would like to have it ordered, from left to right: back, forward, reload, location bar.
Firefox has always been very customizable, and very user friendly. A few hiccups here and there, sure, but you can typically get what you want done, one way or another. So can you guys help me out? This is driving me crazy. I have installed Classic Theme Restorer, and it doesn't change that I can't currently do this.

Hi Rose1, if you mean in the regular address bar of Firefox 29, the Forward button should appear after you have used Back.
If you mean in the Classic Theme Restorer, you first need to check the box for "Movable back-forward button" in its Options. Open the Add-on page using either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions, then click the Options button for Classic Theme Restorer. On the "Main" tab, under General UI, you will find this option. As you check and uncheck, Firefox shows the result of the change, so you should see the arrows appear on the right end of the main toolbar.
After finishing with this dialog, you can use Customize to drag them where you want them.
    Any luck?

  • Why are the back/forwards buttons no longer working after upgrade?

Hi, I recently upgraded from Firefox 3.5 (I believe) to Firefox 4.0.1 and now the back and forwards buttons no longer work. I tried resetting the settings under the toolbars > customize, etc. That didn't work. FYI, I'm using a mac. Any solutions? Thanks in advance...

  • Mouse back and forward buttons don't work

I have a Dell wireless bluetooth mouse. I installed Safari 4, and I like it a lot. I am thinking of ditching IE, but the back and forward buttons on my mouse don't do anything in Safari. It's very frustrating having to click the back button on screen instead of directly on my mouse. The buttons work perfectly in IE and in Windows explorer. I reinstalled the mouse drivers, but to no avail. Any ideas?

Did u get any software for your mouse? What brand is your mouse? I have Logitech setpoint software, where I can adjust mouse profile, setup mouse buttons action... I also have option (checkbox) to make my mouse use windows generic settings (the one you have in Control Panel under mouse section.
Now, this is just an idea, but it's good start point.
What you can also do (if you have such software installed) to uninstall it, restart, and see if Safari back/forward will work. Maybe this software (for some bizarre reason) conflicts Safari default action (as you said you don't have such problem in Fx)
Let me know if this worked for you.
    Cheers,
    Miki
EDIT: Before you do all this, maybe it's easier for you (if possible) to try another mouse, to see if you have same issues or not

  • What happened to my back button? Now when I'm browsing on facebook, or any other site, the back/forward buttons are not highlighted to be able to use them?

When I am surfing the net, I have always been able to use my back/forward buttons. Now all of a sudden, they are not available to use, you can still see them, but they are grey, not black, like they once were so that I could click them to go back to a previous page, or forward once I've went back?
