Forwarded call notification

I am forwarding calls from my work phone to my private iPhone 4.
On my old Nokia, there was always arrow symbol for all forwarded incoming calls.
I am using the same service provider.
Can I set this by settings or additional App?
Arnis

As you say, when you receive a call that has been forwarded you will only see information about this see for a couple of seconds when it starts ringing. The call list will not show if a received call was forwarded and i'm afraid i don't know of any way to change this.

  • In-Call Notifications

So after a month of using my Droid Maxx I have noticed many of the same software glitches as others (i.e. Facebook contacts not syncing, etc).  The most troublesome one for me is that in-call notifications for text messages and emails do not work properly.  If you are on a phone call, you should receive one short beep in the earpiece if you receive a text message, email, or other notification.  This was confirmed with Motorola support that it should be happening and there is no way to disable/enable in-call notifications.  This is a problem for me as I use the phone constantly but also receive time sensitive sms notifications.  If I'm on a long call I constantly have to look at the phone to see if anything came in.
I contacted Motorola directly to see if they had a solution for this.  This offered nothing other than it should be working.  I went in to a Verizon store and tested it on the display device in the store as well.  Same result.  Verizon Wireless had no solution other than to try a third-party messaging app.  This seems a little absurd especially after paying a high price for a supposed premium device.  Basic operations should work.  I understand any new device is going to have some issues that will be resolved through software updates.  However I'm a little disappointed in Verizon Wireless and lack of quality control on a device that cost $300 with a contract.  I have also yet to see real solutions for a single issue posted on this forum.  The only solutions I have seen are to clear app cache and delete and re-install apps (that doesn't even work).  What gives Verizon Wireless?  Are we going to get our issues resolved?

    Hello JXB,
As your wireless provider, we are committed to your wireless happiness. Rest assured as it will be my pleasure to research and customize a solution for you. Let's start with what software, baseband, and android version do you have installed on the device? Also, has this function ever worked in the past? Can I assume that you are using the default messaging app on the device? While we wait for you to share additional information requested above on the issue, have you checked to see if your notification settings are correct? If not then I would encourage you to do so. We are looking forward to your reply.
    Thank you...

    Hi,
This behavior is by design. Exchange 2010 server is not going to accept any SIP messages from Exchange 2013 server because it is not listed as UM IP Gateway. Therefore, even if Exchange 2013 redirected the SIP INFO packet to Exchange 2010, it will fail.
During migration\coexistance scenario, this feature (Missed call notifications from Lync server) will not work for legacy users whose mailbox is still in Exchange 2010.

  • Differentiate direct and forwarded calls

    Hi,
I have a question. I use 2 phones. One is private (iphone) and other is bussiness. After hours I have only private phone with me and bussiness phone is set to redirect all calls to my private number. The problem is that iphone does not show that the call was forwarded to my private number.
On Blackberry, Windows phone and android I can see little icon that shows that the caller was calling my bussiness (or any other) phone and was redirected to my private number. Is there any possibility of such notification?
The point is that when somebody that I dont have in contacts calls, I must know if the call is going to be personal or bussiness, before I answer itor
    To clarify:
    - carrier supports this because it works on other mobile OS-s.
    - I see original caller ID not my bussiness phone number when the call is forwarded.

On an iPhone, sorry, no. The forwarded calls will appear just like any other call.

    Hi Mark,
this is known issue: 'CSCui37305 - After forwarded call, "Setting call forwarding..." does not disappear' and it is already resolved in 9.2.6.

  • How do I get my missed call notification to show in the notification center? Everything is turned on but nothing shows up.

I previously posted a question about not being able to see any of my missed calls in the notification center. I have the iPhone 4S running on 6.1.1. The notifications previously stopped working but somehow the calls started to show up. (I can't remember what I did to make them show up). However, after I went to General>Reset>Reset All Settings , the missed call notifications disappeared again. I have tried turning everything on and it still does not work. My settings are Phone> Show 10 Recent Items> Banners > Badge Icon On> View In Lockscreen On. I have also tried to set it as alerts but nothing happens. The only way I can view my missed calls is on the lock screen and in the recents tab in the phone app. They do not show up in the notification center at all. Can someone please help me?

  • Possible to answer iPhone & then forward call?

I would like to be able to answer my iphone 4, say hello to caller & then be able to forward call onto another number.
I tried by adding 2 call recipients & merging our 3 calls, but when I hung up to let callers 2&3 talk , it disconnected all of us.
it seems that the originating caller is the anchor of the conference call & that all will be disconnected if he/she hangs up.
Am I missing something?  Is there another way to forward calls on an individual basis?  Maybe an app?
    thx

Is this possible with an iphone?
Not that I've heard of.  However,  peruse the App Store to see if there's any app available that will allow you to use the iPhone as a remote device.

  • How can I disable the end of call notification or at least turn it down?

On my Droid Turbo, At the end of a call there is a big loud beep.  (end of call notification)  I need to disable it or turn it down because on headset it is deafening.  I had this exact problem on the HTC One M8 and now with the Droid Turbo.  My wife's Samsung S5 has an option to disable it and I believe the LG G3 has an option to disable it.  IT isn't a problem except on headset or over hands-free in the car.  It is intolerable when I have to turn up the phone to hear a caller.  Please help soon as my 14 days are running out and I will likely have to trade in this phone Droid Turbo in for the LG.  Verizon technical support is no help at all.

Thank you for replying Amber, it is a little more than annoying, it is a safety hazard.  Tinnitus is not a fun disease and this problem can be a contributing factor.
Yes the end of call notification (loud beep) does occur at the end of every call.  And an end of call notification can be a good thing.  But missing it a way to control it's volume.  No, it is not as loud with the volume tuned down.  It is not a problem unless using bluetooth or headset as the speaker is away from the ear.  But on headset it is very loud, and extremely loud when you have to turn the phone up to hear a caller.  I have a long commute and use a headset a-lot. My work around currently is to rip my headset out of my ear before a call ends to avoid the excruciating pain of having my ear blasted.  Car bluetooth does have the same problem.  Turn the phone up to hear a call then everyone in the car will get blasted.  This is not a problem for those that do not use bluetooth or a headset.  But for those that do, it hurts.

  • HT4994 I have an Iphone 4 and can not forward calls. every time I put the number in the call forward field it jumps back a page and the button moves to off. can anyone assist.

I can not forward calls. I go to call forwarding, turn it on, copy and paste my phone number into the correct field (including the international dialling code).
I then tap the Call Forwarding button, which takes me back one stage and the Call Forwarding button goes to off after a couple of seconds. Anyone who can help?

Yes, a blocked call will go immediately to your voice mail.
If you would rather not have that behavior, ask your cellular carrier if you can block that person through the carrier.

  • Questions in Lync missed call notifications.

    Hello Experts,
    We have the following environment:
    Environment
Currently there are no exchange UM’s in place.
Has PBX to route the Enterprise calls.
    Missed call Behaviour
When Lync receives the call, based on the calling number trunk translation rules the number is normalised and is presented with the missed call notification and Callee names will not be shown.
What we are seeing here is a mixture, that when we get a call from the PBX, RNL is successful and I get the caller's picture, Name and E.164 number in the notification window for new call. But for the actual missed call notification,
we only get the name (no number).
Hence wanted to understand Lync missed call notification generation logic (where does it get the name from [RNL], which number does it show [called or AD], does it show the number etc ? ) as we are seeing mixed results with and without
    phone numbers or Names.
    Please advise. Thank in advance.

    Hi SBHV,
Lync Server and Exchange Unified Messaging server are responsible to initiate a missed call notification. Lync Server generates a missed call notification by sending a SIP INFO message to Exchange unified messaging server, which in turn
performs a reverse number lookup of the caller and sends email to the callee with the missed call details.
During this reverse number lookup, if the incoming number is associated with any user or contact object on server (Exchange UM, Active Directory) or recipients personal contacts,
it will be mapped with the caller or object name. If no match is found, just display the caller’s phone number or name.
    Best regards,
    Eric.

  • On call notifications on lumia 730

    Hi all,
As mentioned in my earlier posts I have been using a Lumia 730 for the past 2 weeks and I have come across the following issue which is a bothering point for me. Not sure if anyone else have come across the same issue. While on a call I can still hear notifications of my mails, SMS, coming in. Sometimes the phone gives a vibrating alert too not sure what this is and how do I turn off these on call notifications. I don't need any notifications during the call apart from call waiting. Kindly let me know how do I get rid of this on call notifications. Please help.
    Regards,
    Sandeep

As far as I know, there isn't a setting to stop the notifications happening if the phone is in call. You can stop the notifications vibrating individually by going to Settings>Notifications+actions, then chossing the app you want to edit notifications for (you would need to do each one individually).

  • Exchange UM 2010 Missed Call Notifications removes extensions

We have integration of Lync Server 2010 and UM 2010. Our internal users don't have a DID, just extensions off our main number. When a user is enabled for UM, they get a missed call notification from UM. The trouble is, telephone number is displayed correctly,
with extension but the link behind it strips the extension. For example it shows work number 222-333-4444 x4422 but if you hover the mouse over it, the actual link reads tel: 2223334444 which is the main number.
If I disable UM for this user, then Lync gets to send the missed call notification, and in this case the link reads tel:+12223334444;ext=4422  and when a user clicks on it, the Lync client dials the extension vs the main number.
MS Support tells me this is by design. Is there a way to configure this to where UM will pass the extensions in the link.

Is there at least a way to hide the "Work:" field or make it non-clickable, so users are not sent to the wrong place?

  • BB Flip External Display Caller Notification Issue

    Hello-
I have owned this phone for approximately two weeks; and until today it was working perfectly. As of today the external display is no longer working for "caller ID" or incoming call notification. The temporary fix was to disable the "auto answer" function for convenience, although this does not truly solve the problem.
The question is how can I restore the external display as it was working prior to today with the display of "caller ID" incoming call notification? Incoming emails, SMS previews; continue to work properly on the external display, and the issue appears to be isolated to incoming call notification.
Is this a bug with the device, or is their a fix to the problem?
Any help or guidance greatly appreciated.

  • Can't receive forwarded calls on phone

    Help needed, Thanks!
Just a moment ago I bought an online skype number intending
to have incoming calls forwarded to my cell phone. (in us)
However, every time although my cellphone is ON, the skype
number test calls I make always tell me "You are reaching..
please leave a message"... as if my phone isn't Turned on. Whhhhhy?
    ALSO
When I test call my skype contact from my the other skype account,
(to test the 'forward skype call to mobile phone'function) it always
    show "connecting....connecting... connecting.................."
I read "setting up forward calls" very carefully, the number is set
correctly and the waiting time is only a few seconds, no reason could
    "connecting" takes that long.
What is exactly wrong with this???
    Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo MUCH!

This is how do not disturb works when you have an option selected to allow the second call within a short time to come through. Do you see a crescent moon at the top of your screen? If so you have Do Not Disturb turned on in settings.

  • Missed call notification in lock screen

I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0.1 and I discovered a potential security/privacy issue. Generally, when apps are configured so that they leave a notification on the lock screen, you can actually swipe the notification itself (rather than the "slide to unlock" bar at the bottom of the screen). When you do this, you are still asked for your password to unlock the phone, but you are taken directly to the associated app after the phone is unlocked. The problem is, when you swipe a "missed phone call" notification from the lock screen, the number is immediately dialed! You are not required to enter your password first!
I won't go into the reasons why you possibly wouldn't want this to happen - I'll leave that to the individual to figure out. The point is, if the phone is locked, you should only be able to make non-emergency calls. Period. I called Apple Support to inquire about this issue and the best they could come up with is to set the phone app so that notifications aren't viewed from the lock screen (Home > Settings > Notifications > Phone > View in Lock Screen = OFF). While this does in fact secure my phone, it also takes the "Smart" out of "Smart Phone." You see, I would like to be able to take a quick glance at my phone to see if I missed any calls (without first unlocking it), then if I choose to return a missed call, I should have to enter my password before the call is made. In other words, the phone app should act like all the other apps in this regard. After all, other smart phones often have an LED that flashes to notify you of missing calls (without the need to unlock the phone first). Come on Apple, we know you can do better than this!
It seems strange that if I get a notification on my lock screen about some breaking news from "The New York Times" app, that I have to enter my password to view it (after swiping the notification). It's as if the news is some big secret that we don't want "unauthorized users" to view, yet the phone allows anyone to return a call from my lock screen without first unlocking it.
At the very least, there should be a setting to allow the user to choose how this action is handled.
