Forwarding a PDF from iPhone produces a 0K file

I have an iPhone 4 (iOS 4.2.1) and ran across this problem other the last two weeks. If you attempt to forward a PDF file from email with 'include attachment' to another person, that person will receive the attachment as a 0K pdf file that is corrupted.
I used the iPhone to forward a 785K PDF file to my Gmail and Live account and both received a 0K file. If I sign on to the email account with my laptop and forward the same 785K PDF to Gmail and Live, it arrives as a 785K file.
Is this a known issue with the iOS and is there a known fix? I've seen people post about Stanza or iBooks possibly causing a problem, but I've already explored that route.

After further testing it appears to be an issue between the iPhone and Yahoo, which I'm assuming is going to fall more on the shoulders of Yahoo because it never plays nice with iOS.
When I forward using a Yahoo Mail account on iPhone the result is 0K.
When I forward using a Gmail account on iPhone the result is 785K.
I also tested using a Windows Live account and it worked fine. I guess I need to keep trying to convince my other iPhone user to dump Yahoo.

I received an email on my iPhone which contained a PDF. I forwarder this email to my assistant but when she got the PDF it was now a .DAT file.
Now, I figured out that she could just rename the file from .DAT to .PDF and it displayed ok. However, why is this happening? It's tedious to have to rename the file. And besides, you could never be sure it's a PDF to start with.
My assistant (and myself) as PC folks using Outlook.

More than likely the sender of the message is an Outlook user that uses RTF or HTML for message composition which is where this originates with attachments sent by an Outlook user that uses RTF or HTML for message composition when sent to a non-Outlook user - not shown with the received message on your iPhone, and this was forwarded with the received message and attachment.
Since this is an IMAP account, you can check the long message headers with the received message with Outlook on your computer to determine the email client used to send the message.

IPad2 not syncing iBook PDFs from iPhone

I have PDFs on my iPhone in iBooks. I have syncing turned on for my iPad2 and iPhone for iBooks. I have wirelss syncing checked for both also. But, PDFs from iPhone will not sync wirelessly to iPad iBook library. Any help?!?

Not sure whether your question being struck through means that you've found the answer or not, but if not then the Settings > iBooks options don't sync items between devices, it only keeps what you already have on both devices in-line with each other - you will need to sync the PDFs to the other device yourself (even though they aren't iTunes purchases you should be able to copy them to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases)

There is no messaging app on the iPad, so you wouldn't be able to do it natively on the device. You can take screen caps of the messages on the phone and put those on the iPad if you like, but it would show up in the photos app on the iPad.

Trouble saving a pdf from In Design with Illustrator files linked.

I have trouble saving a pdf from In Design. Most of the files i've linked are Illustrator files with size up to 70mb.
I am getting out of memory message The In Design file isn't that big - about 9mb.

Not sure what you mean with exporting in chunks but if you mean exporting page for page , so it didn't work either.
I think that i'll try to reduce the size of Illustrator files , but I 'm not sure what will be the optimum size for that In Design won't crush again.
Or maybe i should make the presentation in illustrator instead? It take some time to save pdf from illustrator when the original file is about 90mb, but still it works.

My internet went down yesterday and I needed to print a document that was in my iPhone Mail program. It was a pdf. I opened the document in iBooks on the iPhone. I hoped I could transfer the document to my computer for printing. I connected the computer to my iPhone with a cord. iTunes could see the document under Devices>Books. It was checked. However, when I selected MyiPhone>Books, I could only see three purchased books and no pdf. I went ahead and synced my iPhone to the iMac anyway. The pdf was not transferred. Is there a way to transfer the pdf to my computer NATIVELY without wifi? If not, is there a third party that can do it without WiFi? The internet is working again and I was able to print the document but now I have a bee in my bonnet about solving this problem. Thank you!
P.S. Can Bluetooth be used to transfer files when I normal wired connection or wifi won't work?

Tried logging in and out. Didn't work.
Tried transferring purchases from iPhone to mac via iTunes. Didn't work.
One thing did change however, which is now in iTunes on the mac, I can see the book under the Settings/Books section ( i think it means I have this book on the mac). If I delete the book on iPhone, I can succesfully regain it by syncing from mac to iPhone using iTunes. But the fact is, I don't have the book in iBooks on mac. It still has this cloud icon in the upper right corner. And no matter how many times I tried to download it, it just didn't work.
Too frustrating to fix this problem. I guess I'm better off just viewing it on the phone.

I haven't backed up iPhone in awhile, and will be using a "new" Mac to sync.
Really do not wish to hose the photos (or contact info) by making a mistake.

I dont like iphoto so the easiest way to do it is using image capture, just plug in your iphone launch image capture from your applications folder and import all images or just selected images into any folder you want.

Unable to download pdf from iphone to pc

I have synced my iPhone 6 Plus (iOS 8.2) to iTunes. But for some reason the PDF's that I have in iBooks on my phone are grayed out in iTunes when I look under Books in the "On My Device" section. I am running the current version of iTunes (version 12.1.1.4) on a Windows 8 machine. I am also having issues with getting the PDF's that are in iBooks on my phone to sync over to iBooks on my new iPad Air 2 (iOS 8.2).
I have stepped through everything that I can seem to find to make sure that I am doing this correctly, but they nothing seems to be working.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I am still not able to download the music from my registered PC. Please note that when I connect my phone to a non-registered PC I am able to download music.
I am sure that my issue will not be resolved Nokia support say that there is no issue from there side and as per nokia support instructions I have re-registered my PC and still the same issue. I have sent the attachment to the mail you mentioned.
Even if the issue is resolved now its too late as my subcription is ending on 25-Sep-2011 and I am 100% sure that my subscription will not be extended. How to export an interactive pdf from InDesign at a smaller file size.

I have a single page InDesign doc with a side navigation panel to the right of each page. This panel has interactive buttons created in InDesign.
When I export as an interactive pdf, the file size is over 27MB and I need it to be much lower.
I should mention that this doc was made from an original PRINT InDesign doc of facing pages, which was about 55MB.
When making it single pages for the interactive doc, the InDesign file size increased to 105MB.
Can anyone explain this and have any useful tips for saving the pdf down WITH interactivity working?

Okay - With the 15MB pdf, when I go into the PDF Optimizer dialog box, it's telling me that the Fonts are using 40% and the Acrobat Forms are using 29%.
Anyone know of a way I can reduce either of these???

Is there no one from Apple who reads these discussion/community boards? Over 245 views and no reply to your question. I saw a similar concern from 2009 with over 700 views and no reply. I can't believe that Apple hasn't fixed this.
I am a Blackberry user and have the choice to switch over to iphone next year. I have to use my phone on a daily basis for work to take photos and email them to multiple people (including myself). Blackberry has always uniquely named each photo with the date it was taken plus a unique identifier so it's really easy to file, email, and figure out which photo was which (they also list by name and not just thumbnail).
I would really like to switch over to iphone but if there isn't an app or some way to fix this...I don't know what I will do. You'd think that an issue that's over 4 years old would have been resolved by now....? The other thing that is really annoying with iphone photos is that whenever someone emails me with them, a lot of times they are upside down, even if they corrected it on their phone before emailing it to me. Somehow the photos do not work well with Microsoft Outlook.
