Forwarding emails in Exchange 2013, when the recipitent of teh forward emails is also in the to box, she recieves no emails at all

I have put a forward onto an user account who has gone on maternity leave,
When an email is sent to her it is recieved by the person it is being forwarded to without issue, however when the person it is being forwarded to is also in the to box, she does not recieve either mail, the one sent to her or the forwarded mail.
Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Can you track the email to see what happened with the email?

We are implementing IdM 8.0 where the original scope included provisioning accounts to Exchange 2010. However, a parallel project migrating from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013 in the cloud is now occurring at the same time as the IdM implementation. Does anyone know if IdM (even in 7.2) was able to connect to and provision exchange accounts to Exchange 2013? The documentation I've located only discusses Exchange 2007 and 2010.

Hi Brendan,
It seems that our DEV team haven't tested the direct integration with 2013.
I spoke with a colleague that is using 2013 but with inderect integration. That means that they have connected the IDM to the Active Directory and then there is a script that does the rest.
We will plan to test the direct integration but currently we are overbooked with development tasks.

How do I setup a guest network when the dialogue boxes do not show up in AirPort Utility 6.1?
I see screenshots where there are boxes to 'enable' guest network but these simply do not apear on the Wireless tab in AirPort Utility

I now have a guest account, thanks to you!
I did the factory reset and was able to set up the guest account.
There were 3 problems, all of which I was able to solve.
The first problem was connect to Ethernet, which I selected by WAN port, as shown in the first screen shot. This page used to read just Ethernet and the Bridge Mode.
The second problem was whether to share a range of addresses or share a public IP address. I selected share a public IP address as shown in the first screen shot. I had tried the range of IP addresses in my earlier attempts, the ones that failed. Hopefully this will have no effect.
I have forgotten what the third problem was - only excuse is a few too many flavored drinks. I didn't have any problems solving it though.
What is really weird is I can log on to Guest and use on my iPad (first generation), my wife's iPod Touch (third generation), and my wife's 2011 MacBook Pro. I can't log onto Guest on my 2008 iMac, even after a restart. I get the image below.
Since I don't lug my iMac around a lot and it is connected by Ethernet, while my little make it right brain says figure this out, I am not going to worry about it.

Need help in LiveCycle Forms - Highlighting required fields when the check box is checked / Un-highlighting the fields if I un-check the check box...

Hello All!
I am relatively new to creating forms within LiveCycle but I have learned quickly so bare with me on my question.
I have figured out how to highlight a field when a check box is clicked on, however, I cannot get it to remove the highlight when the check box is unchecked?
This is what I used for the highlight:
Subform1.fieldname.fillColor="255,255,0"
Can anyone provide any insight or suggestions on how I might fix this script issue?

KDE4 freezes when the other box goes offline [Solved]

I have installed in my main computer Arch with kdemod4, in my file server Debian testing that shares a directory with samba and with nfs and in my sisters laptop WinXP.
When the Debian box goes offline (i.e. reboot or poweroff) my main desktop freezes. I can still use applications like firefox or konsole or anything else that may be open at that time The rest of the desktop is unresponsive. Kicker does not respond to clicks and does not update the time, the trash can plasmoid does not respond to clicks etc.
To solve the problem I have to either bring back online the server or restart the main desktop.
The shared folder is mounted via fstab as nfs share and I can also access it as samba share with the kde discovery service.
As for the windows laptop it goes on and of all day without being noticed at all.

Unable to connect to Exchange 2013 by the PS Script from Win 8.1

Good day to all
There is the corporate Exchange 2013 server in main office and local Windows 8 (and 8.1 too) and Windows 7 Enterprise workstations in regional office in one AD domain.
I am local admin in this regional office and one of my duty is work with my part of Exchange accounts. So I do it with PowerShell Win ISE environment .
I make initial connect to Exchange server by this script (running in Win ISE with admin rights)
$UserCredential = Get-Credential
$Session = New-PSSession -ConfigurationName Microsoft.Exchange -ConnectionUri http://exchange.server/PowerShell/ -Authentication Kerberos -Credential $UserCredential
Import-PSSession $Session
On Windows 8 WS it issued an error with a such strange message :
New-PSSession : [exchange.server] Connecting to remote server exchange.server failed with the following error message : The WinRM client sent a request to an HTTP server and got a response saying the requested HTTP URL was not available. This is usually
returned by a HTTP server that does not support the WS-Management protocol.
But if I try to run this script on Windows 7 Ent workstation in a same environment (Win ISE) I havent got any errors and I can to connect with corporate server.
All of these workstations (Win 8, Win 7 ), have got same versions of PS (4.0) . There is no firewalls between server ans workstations . Local firewall on Win 8 WS disabled .
Because I am local admin I can't rule by the Exchange Server console, accordingly to corporate policy. I cant reach it anymore . But I think that problem is deep in Win 8 settings.
So why I can't connect to ES from Win8 ? Any help would be appreciated .

Since it works fine with same command in Windows 7, this issue may be caused by Windows 8.1 client side.
According to the error message, I find an blog for Exchange server side. For your reference:

Just in case, please open IIS manager and switch to Default Web Site. Right-click Default Web Site, and then click Edit Bindings to double check the configuration for HTTP:
1. Make sure the value of Hostname is empty.
2. Ensure the port is 80.
For your question, I have test this command in Windows 8, it works fine.
Is there any extra software installed on it? please try to run Windows with clean boot, also we can try this within a new Windows.
Besides, please try to telnet port 5985 and manually open this port in firewall ports.

Exchange 2013: when I create a new user in 2012 AD no mailbox is created.

Hi,
I have two VMs both running Windows server 2012 R2.
S1-DC.domain.local (GC)
S2-EMS.domain.local (Exchange 2013 CU2)
When I add a new user account from the Admin Center on S1-DC.domail.local, no Exchange 2013 mailbox is being created.
I can add the AD user to Exchange 2013 manually, but I assumed a mailbox would be created automatically when an account is created.
What would be the cause of this?

There is no automatic provisioning of mailboxes when you create an AD user.
To have that automatically done, you can develop a Powershell script that will run periodically (Example: Every hour), will identify the newly created AD accounts and will provision a mailbox for them.

DPM 2012 SP1 - Protecting Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2013 at the same time

From which Exchange Server am I commited to copy the ESEUTIL.exe and ESE.dll to the DPM Directory for protecting the whole Exchange databases from both products (2010 and 2013) ?

The visual c++ libraries actually need to be installed on the Exchange 2013 server.
To protect Exchange 2013 with DPM SP1, in addition to copying the ese.dll
and eseutil.exe files to the DPM
bin folder, you also need to install the
Visual C++ redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 1(vcredist) on your Exchange server. You can download it from

Installing vcredist on your Exchange server loads components of Visual C++ libraries. The Visual C++ libraries are needed when an application that was developed using Visual Studio 2012
is installed on a computer that does not have Visual Studio 2012 installed. Without Visual Studio 2012 or the Visual C++ libraries, you will run into errors trying to protect Exchange 2013.
Let us know if it works after doing this.
NOTE: The Exchange 2013 ese.dll and eseutil.exe files will cover Exchange 2010 also.

Can we connect Outlook with Exchange 2013 with the default Self-signed certificate?

the question is very simple, but after several days searching in this forums and in the web I have not been able to find a definitive answer YES or NOT. I know that Self-signed certificates are not for a production enviroment and only for labs and we must
purchase a third party certificate or get one from a internal CA.
Anyone can answer this question with no doubt?

Also I have installed a new exchange 2013 in a lab enviroment and I also have unabled to connect from a Outlook 2013. The problem is the same Outlook is unable to detect the exchange server. Many people in this forums told me that have to be a certificate
problem and for that I posted this question. Honestly, I don't know how to do for Outlook can be connect with Exchange 2013. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

First, please make sure the Microsoft Exchange Search and the Microsoft Exchange Search Host Controller service are running and please run the get-mailbox -arbitration cmdlet to check the result.
Besides, please check the properties of the DiscoverySearchMailbox and verify that the homeMDB attribute is set to a mounted database.
If the steps above don't work, please try to re-create a new Discovery System Mailbox to check the result. You can refer to the following article.

I assume you have made some changes to this out of box search
you will have to take help from a CSS expert to select the div of this image and resize it. it has to be updated in css file on the server
You can use developer(f12) tool in IE to test that

How do you add a device when the sync box dosn't have the ADD DEVICE button?

I have a new laptop running windows 7, I downloaded firefox7 and on my old laptop, running windoes XP, I went to the sync box. there it told me how to transfer all my info to my new laptop. but on firefox 7 there is no ADD DEVICE button in the sync box.
so how can I sync my laptops?

You can enter the account name (email address) and password and the Sync key.

Developing for BizTalk 2009 and BizTalk 2013 on the same box

I currently have Visual Studio 2008 installed and setup on my local machine for doing BizTalk 2009 development. We are migrating to BTS 2013 soon.
I also have Visual Studio 2013 installed (but no BizTalk 2013 components installed). Will I be able to develop for both versions of BizTalk on the same box?
Has anyone successfully done this?
My machine is Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit. And I have also installed BTS 2009, Developer edition as well.

I don't think BTS 2009 and BTS 2013 (or for that matter any two versions of BizTalk) can be installed on the same OS. MS SQL Server and Visual Studio cannot
distinguish which instance is started. Use Microsoft Virtual Server instead.

I try to download a picture and when the download box pops up it cancels my download automatically, how can I fix this?

If I am trying to download anything from the internet such as a picture or SKYPE the download box pops up and says that my download has been canceled. I then hit retry and it looks like it is downloading but nothing ever downloads. How can I fix this??

I dont know its the wifi at work...ssshhh dont tell. I will try it at home where I know it is hi-speed.
