Forwarding new online number

Hello,
Today, I purchased another online number. I already have 4 online numbers (different countries) forwarding to my mobile phone and it has worked well for years.
What I am trying to do is forward the new number to a different mobile number but cannot see how in my account options.
Is there a way?

My new online number is not showing up when i call mobiles (tried several of them).
It is impossible to select it from the pre-selected numbers or anything of that kind. I can select that skype shows all my previous historical numbers that i have ever used... ...but not the new online number.

Thanks for posting your Online Number. Unfortunately, Online Numbers in Finland can't be used as Caller ID when calling telephones from your Skype account. Online Numbers from a few countries (Chile, Denmark, Estonia, Hong Kong, Poland, Sweden, the UK and the US) can be used this way.

Forwarding an Online Number to a mobile phone in s...

Hello,
I need to get a Skype Online Number to Japan. and I need to divert that call to Sri Lankan Mobile phone. I will pay for the charges which occurs in forwarding.
Also if above cannot be done, as an example : If a person from some other country call my Online Number in Japan, can i anser this call using skype. Thanks

If you are a resident of Japan, you can get a Japanese Online Number from Skype. Once you have that, you can have calls to that number - or any call to your Skype account from other Skype users - forwarded to the Sri Lankan mobile phone. You will need to purchase Skype Credit to cover the cost of those calls out to the Sri Lankan number.
If a person from some other country call my Online Number in Japan, can i anser this call using skype.
Even if you have call-forwarding enabled, you can still answer calls when you are logged into Skype. Then you are not having to pay for the cost of calls forwarded to that Sri Lankan mobile number, for example.

Forwarding on online number

I have an online number from HK and want to forward my HK phone to Skype number, then from Skype number to a China mobile number. But it didn't work... not forwarding and not even to voice mail. What should I do ?
my online number is paid for 3 months subscription, does this subscription include forwarding service ?

OK, that complicates things a bit. If that Privacy setting is allowing calls from anywhere to your Online Number, let's make sure the Online Number is on your account. When you log into your account using the "Account" link at the top of this web page, then click on Online Number, do you see your Online Number?
If you don't see the number, there may be a bigger problem going on. If the number shows up there, that's a good thing - but still a problem. In either case, it sounds like this is something that needs to be looked at by Skype staff. You can contact customer service for that, as I am not a Skype employee and have no access to your account details.

Accidentally registered new online number before I...

I signed up for the online number, but the area code i got was the wrong one. This number is useless because it is not in the area were I wish to receive calls from. How can I change it?

The only one way is to contact Skype Customer Service and request a refund and then puchase a new number with correct area code.

Forwarding an Online Number (again)

I've searched the forums for this, but no luck so far.
I'm trying to test call forwarding of my online number. If Skype is running on my Mac and someone calls the online number, it will ring on my computer as it should. I also know that call forwarding to my cell phone is working because if I'm not at my computer and Skype is not running, my cell phone will ring if someone Skypes me. But if Skype is not running on the computer and someone calls my online number, my cell phone will not ring, and I don't have any idea why.

I'm wanting to set up the same system. Then I can have a stable skype number, and when I traval I will just skype to forward to a forien sim card number.
How relyable is this system, and what is the call quality like?

Can I get skype online number and forward call to my phone in India?
As if someone calls skype online number his call can be answered at my India Mobile or Phone.
Is this possible?

I contacted Skype some months ago about this issue they said if you have a Subscription if it's covered under your subscription (for example calls to the US & Canada unlimited) and make a call on skype it will be covered.
I don't have the email or lost it somewhere as it's months old but basically that's what it says.

An Online Number is to receive calls. To make calls you need Credits or a subscription.

Online number is busy when called

I signed up for a new online number today. Paid for 12 months. It works for outgoing cals, but when you call the number it's always busy.
I even tried to activate call-forwarding, but when called the number is busy.
Any ideas?

Cost of ringing the online number

Hi,
can the online number be treated as the landline number re the cost? It's just that my mum has free international calls to landline numbers and I asked her to ring my new online number. Would it still be free for her to ring me?

Thanks for the compliment. I don't know everything about international calling, but have to support an office PBX that has some people that make international calls.
Your Online Number in Brisbane would be in Brisbane's 07 area code. If your mother is in the same area code, she should only have to dial the 8-digit number. If she is outside the 07 area code in some other part of Australia, simply dialing 07 followed by your 8-digit number is all she would need. Not knowing where your mother's phone is, and not knowing what your Brisbane Online Number is, I can't say with 100% certainty that the call is free for her. It would *not* be an international call for her, in any event.
When she rings your Brisbane number, receiving her call would be free when you are logged into Skype in Turkey, Greece, or wherever. If you forward calls to your Skype account out to a telephone number, you would need to either have Skype Credit or a subscription to cover calls to whatever number you are forwarding to. Be mindful that subscriptions for most countries do not cover calls to mobile phones, unless you opt for a specific "landlines and mobiles" or "mobiles" subscription - and they cost more than just a "landlines" subscription. And, if you are using a foreign mobile phone in places like Turkey, Greece, etc., your roaming voice and data charges from your mobile carrier may be high.
Skype's Online Numbers can be very useful. I have a Melbourne (03 9xxx xxxx) number, which helps my friends down there who have not (yet) joined Skype to stay in touch. I have 3 others, and - if Skype has numbers in the places you want - they are great tools.

Online number previously used by dodgy company

Just purchased a new online number couple of days ago.
Today I got a call through that number demanding where their product was. Huh!
Did a search using my new number and a company came up that sells products online. That number is everywhere.
It is no good for me. How do I cancel/change that number.
I need a quick fix for this as my site is about to go live.

Please do contact Skype Customer Service to request this subscription be cancelled and refunded, so you can start with a different number.

If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service, try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented. Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also impede reaching an agent.

Voice mail and online number

I have set up voice mail for my account; then bought an online number. When I called my online number from my iPhone, it did not answer with voice mail. Do I have to set up a NEW voice mail for my new online number?

Have you tried this.
First check that your privacy settings are set to ''Allow calls from anyone''.
Then change them to "Allow SkypeIn calls from Only people from my Contacts List".
Save and wait for 5 minutes.
Log out from your Skype account and log back in.
Change settings back to "Allow calls from Anyone".
Save and wait for 5 minutes.
Log out from your Skype account and log back in.
Go into your account from your computer not your mobile and check on accounts. On the top there is a voice mail icon. Click on the icon and it will tell you if your voicemail is enabled. if not you can enable it then.

Can't allocate Online Number

Hi,
I have three Skpe accounts for three different businesses. I recently bought a new online number and Skype happily took my money without any real access to support. i hope someone from skype actually reads these forums.
Anyway, when I try to allocate the number I get this error message.

And to make matters worse, rubbish chat support at Skype ended the 15 minute conversation before the matter was solved. Total rubbish.
Skype make real customer support easily available again.

Changing or deleting online number

I have a Manchester, UK online number as part of my Skype subscription. I need to change this to a Bristol, UK number (my relatives have moved home), but after searching the "Online " pages I can't find any option to replace the number with a new one, only options to buy an extra one. I tried buying a second one (extra expense) in the hope that a "change online number" option might appear but no - I now have two online numbers, one of which is of no use to me.
How do I delete the old Manchester one and transfer the new Bristol one to my subscription? In the older versions of Skype software it was easily possible to delete or change online numbers, why is it so difficult now?

You would have to purchase a new Online Number in Bristol, and just let the Manchester number expire without renewing it. Online Numbers won't renew automatically, as subscriptions do, so there is no harm in just ignoring it. There is no option to change an online number. If you just extended your Manchester number, you may want to contact Skype Support to see if there is anything that can be done to cancel that number and possibly refund the purchase price. If you've had the number a while, there is probably nothing that can be done there.
I've had Online Numbers for over 4 years on my Skype account. I've never seen any options to change or delete them. On the Skype web site, I can log into my account and extend the numbers beyond their current expiration dates, but there is no way to change or delete them. Online Numbers are separate from your calling subscription, except that you get a discount when purchasing Online Numbers when you already have a subscription.
