Forwarding on online number

I have an online number from HK and want to forward my HK phone to Skype number, then from Skype number to a China mobile number. But it didn't work... not forwarding and not even to voice mail. What should I do ?
my online number is paid for 3 months subscription, does this subscription include forwarding service ?

OK, that complicates things a bit. If that Privacy setting is allowing calls from anywhere to your Online Number, let's make sure the Online Number is on your account. When you log into your account using the "Account" link at the top of this web page, then click on Online Number, do you see your Online Number?
If you don't see the number, there may be a bigger problem going on. If the number shows up there, that's a good thing - but still a problem. In either case, it sounds like this is something that needs to be looked at by Skype staff. You can contact customer service for that, as I am not a Skype employee and have no access to your account details.

If you are a resident of Japan, you can get a Japanese Online Number from Skype. Once you have that, you can have calls to that number - or any call to your Skype account from other Skype users - forwarded to the Sri Lankan mobile phone. You will need to purchase Skype Credit to cover the cost of those calls out to the Sri Lankan number.
If a person from some other country call my Online Number in Japan, can i anser this call using skype.
Even if you have call-forwarding enabled, you can still answer calls when you are logged into Skype. Then you are not having to pay for the cost of calls forwarded to that Sri Lankan mobile number, for example.

Forwarding new online number

Hello,
Today, I purchased another online number. I already have 4 online numbers (different countries) forwarding to my mobile phone and it has worked well for years.
What I am trying to do is forward the new number to a different mobile number but cannot see how in my account options.
Is there a way?

Forwarding an Online Number (again)

I've searched the forums for this, but no luck so far.
I'm trying to test call forwarding of my online number. If Skype is running on my Mac and someone calls the online number, it will ring on my computer as it should. I also know that call forwarding to my cell phone is working because if I'm not at my computer and Skype is not running, my cell phone will ring if someone Skypes me. But if Skype is not running on the computer and someone calls my online number, my cell phone will not ring, and I don't have any idea why.

I'm wanting to set up the same system. Then I can have a stable skype number, and when I traval I will just skype to forward to a forien sim card number.
How relyable is this system, and what is the call quality like?

I contacted Skype some months ago about this issue they said if you have a Subscription if it's covered under your subscription (for example calls to the US & Canada unlimited) and make a call on skype it will be covered.
I don't have the email or lost it somewhere as it's months old but basically that's what it says.

Maybe. Your phone should have settings to set forwarding for all calls to your T-Mobile number. If you enable that, your T-Mobile phone won't ring anymore, but you could still use your phone to make calls and for sending/receiving SMS or MMS messages.
If you are asking about forwarding calls when the mobile phone is on but you don't answer the phone, instead of those calls going to a T-Mobile voicemail system, you *may* be able to change that. T-Mobile doesn't let you do that on a prepaid phone, and that appears to be the same if you use some other prepaid services that ride on T-Mobile's network like Straight Talk. It may be possible on a postpaid plan (one where you get a monthly invoice to pay).
As for what T-Mobile would charge, you'd have to check on your plan or contact T-Mobile. Some plans have unlimited calling that includes call-forwarding, others only provide for a certain number of minutes for call-forwarded calls a month, and then there are some "plans" that make you pay for anything that is call-forwarded from your T-Mobile number. The T-Mobile web site may be able to help answer that, or a call to their customer service number will need to be made.

Cancelling online number but want call forwarding

Hi,
I have a Skype online number that is about to expire. I don't really need this number anymore, so I don't want to renew my subscription. However, I don't want someone calling the number I used to have and receving a "this number does not exist." Is there an option to forward the calls that are made to my Skype number to my cell phone/landline, even if I don't have the number anymore?

The only way you can control what happens to calls to your Online Number would be to renew the number for another 3 or 12 months. You can't have it both ways - not paying to renew the number, and forwarding calls from it to another number. It would be just like trying to do the same thing with a landline or mobile number - those carriers are certainly not going to forward calls to you for free. Skype is no different.

Skype Number, credit and forwarding when online

Hi all,
I have a few questions relating to the Skype Number, which I recently bought.
The main purpose for me using the Skype number is to receive business calls and have them forwarded to my mobile. I have a small business, and want to appear as if I had a landline number.
Here are my queries:
1) Can I have call forwarding on at all times, even if I am logged in to Skype?
2) Does it cost to forward calls to my mobile?
3) If so, is there a specific plan I can get to pay a flat rate?

- If you have set-up call forwarding in Skype, call forwarding status will be set when you're offline in Skype. Calls can also be forwarded when you're online if the call was not answered after a number of rings.

- If you use Skype Credit as a payment method, the forwarded calls will be charged at the Skype’s great pay per minute rates. For example, if you forward your incoming Skype calls to a mobile number in the United States, you’ll be charged exactly what it costs to call a mobile in the United States from Skype.

- You can also purchase a subscription for calls to a country where you want to receive the forwarded calls. For example, if you want your incoming Skype calls to be forwarded to a number in the United States, simply choose a subscription covering calls to the United States.

Hello, I am a U.S. citizen but will be living in France for four months. I need to be able to effectively be in touch with business and family back in the U.S.
What I'm planning on doing is purchasing a prepaid SIM from Orange or another French carrier. Incoming calls from French numbers are free, so I was wondering if Skype would be able to fill in the gaps. If I were to get a U.S. Skype online number, is there a way where I could forward the calls directly to my French prepaid number?

Online number forwarding

Seems this has been all over the forums, but I still cannot get an answer.
I want a US online number, that, when called, forwards ALWAYS to my cell phone in a different country.
I've bought an online number, set up call forwarding to that cell phone, whenever I'm offline, and it doesn't work. When I call the US number, I get "receiver busy" signal.
Also - can't I just link the US online number for good to direct calls to the cell?

I have an unlimited subscription for the United States. For others to call me though I am not sure what the best option is. Could someone please clarify the differeces between having an Online number and having calls forwarded?

An Online # is for your contacts to call you. (You can't make calls from it).
Call forwarding is simply forwarding a received call to another phone of your choice.
To receive calls from your contacts you will need an Online #.

Online number does not forward or go to voicemail

I have an online number which is forwarded to an Australian Mobile. It also set up to go to voicemail if not answered. Neither of these functions work as it just rings out when dialed. Where is it ringing? How do I get the features to work? Why am I paying for something that does not work? Will I get a refund for time elapsed to date?

Could you please help me on this:
I have two online number say it Number1 & Number2. I have an option to selected one of this number as caller ID. I use both the numbers for two different purpose.
If a person calls back Number1 and if I am not available to answer this should reach skype voicemail.
If a person calls back Number2 and if I am not available it should be forwarded to my mobile number.
Is this settings possible?

Yes, it do mean so and, to do call forwarding to your phone, you need Skype Credit or Monthly Plan.

Online number still not working

I have an online number, but it doesnt work. (engaged noise when rung)
1st - i did all the things listed in the 'help' section regarding this problem-
didnt work
2nd - went on live chat and he told me to do the same thing and some other stuff.
Still didnt work, so he referred my case to main office and said someone would be in touch to fix it. This was last week and i still havent heard anything!
I need to use this number ASAP! Can someone please fix it?

I was receiving the skype emails giving updates on the issue about the Online numbers in Brazil.
Then, I got an email on June 30 saying that we could try to keep the same number, but skype was opening a new line and my subscription would be transfered to that number. And also, I would be getting 2 additional months free for the inconvenience... The email was very confusing and there were no clear instructions on how to proceed. It is copied below:

Well, what happened was that I got a new number and both (the old and the new) have been showing as active in my account. My subscription (recently renewed for 1 year) is linked to my old number, that does not work (always busy).
The new number, opened on the day that I have received the email above, has worked fine ever since, but is going to expire in 10 days and there is no indication that my subscription will be transfered from the old (not working) number to the new number (good one) when it expires...
I will not buy an extension for the new number since I've already gotten it for the old one... I just need my subscription linked to a number that actually works, which ever number it is...
Oh, and I tried changing the privacy settings to allow receiving calls from anyone... Didn't work !

Online number

I purchased an online number to replace my normal landline, and it is not working after a day, I was not asked to verify it, the system said it would be up and running immediatly, I ring the number from a land line, it rings once then goes into an engaged tone, have I missed some part of the setup.

If you wish to forward incoming calls to mobile numbers then you also need Skype Credit or a subscription.
