Forwarding SMS to email

Is there a software or application than can be used to forward SMS's received on N97 to an email address.

I've read that when people send me a txt/sms to my cell #, it's technically going to [email protected]
Actually that't not correct. SMS isn't email and it's not sent by internet protocols. That email address is a conduit for ATT to forward SMS sent from computers. AT&T coverts the email into SMS and sends it through the cell voice network, not the internet used by email. SMS sent from other cell phones don't use the email address at all.

Simply how to forward an sms to an email address - cant seem to figure this out, but can do it easily with my old Nokia simply by selecting "send sms to email".

I think if you put the email address in the To: box it'll work.

Hmmm. I just downloaded an 8300 simulator to test. I'm placing a screenshot of what I get when I do the Forward As option. Yours doesn't look like this?

  • Auto forwarding texts to email

Can I set my Note 3 up to auto forward a copy of all my texts, sent and received, to my email?

Excellent question hezzz! While this is not part of your phone's features, a third party application might be able to do this for you! I recommend doing a search online for Forward SMS to email, or Forward text to email. I'm sure you will find plenty of options. However, you can forward each message individually/manually, the same way you would forward it to another contact in your address book.

  • Forward sms conversation to email in order to print

Is there a way to forward an entire conversation from sms to email so that it can be printed. I tried going into the message, edit, and selecting the messages. Then forwarded it to my email. The problem was that it didn't show which messages I sent and which were received. That's what I'm looking for something allowing me to print them while showing which were sent and which were received.

No way to forward the entire conversion.
Messages are included with your iPhone's backup, which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process.
There are 3rd party utilities available that provide for extracting all messages from your iPhone's backup on your computer for archiving and access elsewhere and/or for printing.
    Here is one.

    help plz

Just like that forward/edit/copy/paste function on ALL current cell phones. It is expected to be present because it's BASIC.
Sorry but the cut/copy/paste function is not available with ALL current cell phones.
I think you are mistaken if you believe not including these functions was just an oversight on Apple's part. Apple doesn't always get things right but they are known for doing plenty of research so for whatever reason I believe these functions were purposely not included and weren't some oversight that was missed as if all Apple employees that were involved with the design and implementation don't have a cell phone for business or personal use or a PDA or phone in the "smart phone" category.
MMS may come about at some point but I rarely if ever used it before the iPhone and prefer doing so via email instead where the recipient can view photos in full view and not on some small lower quality cell phone screen.
Cut/copy/paste functions with a touch screen interface is probably a little tricky but providing the ability to forward an SMS or sending an SMS to multiple recipients shouldn't be a major function to add but there is likely some reason this was purposely left out that we aren't privileged to and not due to an oversight by those involved.

  • Looking for help with respect to configuring MS Exchange server to handle attachments over 10 MB for forwarding to Salesforce (Email-to-case).

Looking for help with respect to configuring MS Exchange server to handle attachments over 10 MB for forwarding to Salesforce (Email-to-case).
Problem - SFDC does not create cases from emails that have more than 10 MB of attachments. Our clients will not go-live if their clients cannot send in emails with attachments over 10 MBs
Potential resolution - Configure MS exchange to strip off the attachments(if over 10 MB) and store it in a public folder, forward the email to Salesforce (so the case gets created or the email
is associated to an existing case), the client should have some way to know if the attachments were stripped off and should be able to dlownload the attachments and continue with case resolution.
    Any help is appreicated!
    Thanks

    Hi,
From your description, you want to achieve the following goal:
Configure Exchange to filter the attachments if the size is over 10 MB and store it in a public folder, and then forward the email to Salesforce.
Based on my knowledge, I'm afraid that it can't be achieved. Exchange can filter messages with attachments, but it couldn't store these attachments on public folder automatically. Also, I don't see any transport rule can do it.
    Hope my clarification is helpful.
    Best regards,

  • When I forward an HTML email with embedded graphics to someone, it forwards it as plain text.. this is driving me batty.. how do I forward such mails INTACT??

I have the latest Thunderbird installed on a new 64-bit Winblows Eight netbook.. fantastic program, but one problem is driving me absolutely batty, and after using the latest Thunderbird for weeks, I simply can't figure out how to fix it..
I'm on a lot of mfr. and other kinds of mailing lists, like eBay watch list alerts, and so on.. these are not s p a m (although I get plenty of that.. who doesn't).. but lists I WANT to be on..
Many such emails from those mailing lists are in HTML format with embedded graphics.. I'm not talking about graphic file attachments, but embedded graphics which are coming from the senders' servers, and appear AS a graphic in the email.. sometimes such emails are one huge graphic with hardly any text.. all well and good..
However, here's the problem.. when I want to forward such an email to a friend, Thunderbird ALWAYS formats it as plain ASCII text.. I know this because I look in the "sent mail" folder, and can see that it has turned an HTML email with embedded graphics into plain ASCII text..
I absolutely can't figure out how to get it to forward an HTML email with embedded graphics INTACT, so the sender receives it looking the way it looks when I receive it from a mailing list, or an advertiser, or eBay, or whoever..
Is Thunderbird capable of forwarding an HTML email with embedded graphics INTACT?.. If so, how / where do I turn on that capability?..
If the capability to do this isn't built into the program, is there an add-on I can install that will give it that ability?..
I am not new to computers.. but this really has me stumped.. I want to put Thunderbird on my 32-bit Vista laptop and stop using its horrible "Windoze Mail" program, which I've been using for years, and is slower than snot, and has all kinds of other problems..
So, assuming whoever reads this FULLY understands my question, PLEASE tell me how to get Thunderbird to have the ability to forward an HTML email with embedded graphics AS-IS, so the receiver(s) I forward it to see it exactly the way I see it when I receive it.. if that ability is built in, please tell me how to turn it on.. if that ability is not built-in, please tell me what add-on I need to install to give Thunderbird this capability.. if Thunderbird absolutely can't forward an HTML email with embedded graphics at all, please also tell me that..
A virtual box of candy and a dozen long-stemmed roses to anyone who can give me a solution that works..
    Thanks..

Dear Mr. Toad (my all-time favorite ride at Disneyland ;-) ..
Thanks so much for your detailed reply.. my netbook is in the bedroom, turned off.. I (so far) only use it in the evening, in the bedroom.. I've saved your response, and will try your suggestions, and let you know if they solve the problem I described. I really appreciate you taking the time to post such a detailed reply..
I can't answer your Thunderbird "configuration" questions, because I'm in the living room, using the crap Vista laptop, on which I plan to install Thunderbird, and then take Windoze Mail out in the street and drive over it a few times.. I'll get back to you one way or the other, and let you know if your instructions solved the problem, or not..
I don't understand why Thunderbird "out of the box", so to speak, simply doesn't forward HTML emails with embedded graphics, (like Outlook Excess, and Winblows Mail do).. without having to go through those steps. I personally HATE HTML email, but over the years, it's become more and more prevelant.. so it's a problem I must fix..
    Thanks again..
    Harv..

  • Sms-to-email problem with plugin

    Hi!
    2004Q2
We have configured email-to-sms and it works good, but sms-to-email is giving us headache. This is the plugin error that we get:
plugin_thread(1644): Returned from plugin; plugin returned 69 (SUBMIT_SM or SUBMIT_MULTI command failed (ESME_RSUBMITFAIL)); errmsg="Zero length SMS message; cannot extract addressing information"
    I would appreciate any help.
    Cheers,
    Adnan

Can you point to the part of the doc where it says that?
If we send a SMS in wrong format like:
    "Hello World!"
    we get plugin error:
"Zero length SMS message; cannot extract addressing information"
but as soon as we send it in right format:
    "local-part@domain (subject) body text"
smpp_gateway_server process crashes without any error repoort. We tried sending SMS in us-ascii and utf-8 but the results are the same.
    Cheers

  • I cannot view HTML attachmants in Firfox that are visible in IE. However, the attachments are visible when I forwarded on the email.

When I check the the properties of the attachments that Firefox cannot open (but IE can) they show them as Firefox HTML documents. However, the attachment can be viewed when I forward on the email.

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond to my baffling dilemma. Unfortunately I have no idea what to do with your advice? Is ContentID cid something that I have control over? I suspect that the answer to my problem is elemental and is something very seldom considered by rocket scientist or other like minded intellectuals. It is a reoccurring problem which suggests that it is a fundamental settings error which should be easily solved. I simply need to know which button to press. It is not my intention to appear flippant but simplicity in any response would be appreciated. ,

  • Is there a way to forward *all* my emails (from Mail to gmail)?

I'm switching accounts with my ISP (Verizon, long story, not really relevant) and I can't keep the same username, I want to forward all the emails I've kept in Apple Mail to my Gmail account and use that from now on for everything.
There are only about 150 of them in there, but I'm looking for a way to send them all without doing them by hand individually (I did command-A and selected all of them but it said it was too big (27MB, 21MB limit) to send through my server (I deleted as much as I could, I realize I could split them in half but ideally I'd do a batch of all of them but arriving at Gmail *individually*).
    Can this be done? Thanks

Yes that's what I meant by splitting it up, but ideally I want to have each email arrive individually (without forwarding each one by hand—but I don't know if it's possible).

  • Ipad cannot forward attachements in email

Whenever my friend forwards me an email with attachements from his iPad the attachments (usually image files) never show up. It not only happens when he sends them to me, but anyone.
I've seen a lot in the discussions with this problem, but haven't been able to find a solution. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Sorry, but I failed to grasp that your friend was sending the emails from his iPad!
What happens when he sends just a single photo? Can you receive other types of attachments from him?
Get  your friend to try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank power On again in the normal way.] It is absolutely/appsolutely safe!
