Forwarding to ePrint Address?

I have my own domain name with email hosted by Gmail which I wanted to setup an address such as [email protected] to forward to the randomly generated ePrint address.  When I try this I get the error below, which technically it wasnt sent to multiple recipients, just forwarded from one address to another.  Is there any way I can make this work?  I am not concerned about the unintended printing as I created rules to only forward if the email comes from a specific address etc.  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
"The email was sent to multiple printers or recipients. HP's ePrint service only processes emails sent to a single recipient to protect users from unintended printing."

  • Email forwarding to ePrinter email address

The ePrinter email address is hard to remember.  I set up a gmail email address that will forward all email to the ePrinter email address.  HP does not like it and it rejects all email.  If there any way to go around it?  If not, this feature will be so useless if it is only for the ePrinter address.  Please try it yourself once to see if you or your friends can remember the ePritner email address.

The easiest work around I can come up with is to put up a web page with an email link to your printer. This will run the risk of email address collecting bots getting your printer's email address but if you set the ePrint service to only authorize certain email addresses to use it the spam becomes HP's problem.
The other solution would be to use an email form that can attach a file to an email and use captcha. You can password protect the page the form is on and set your ePrint to allow anybody to use it. This is a fair amount more difficult to set up but it doesw make it harder for the spam bots to get the printer's email address.
A good solution would be for HP to come up with a way for ePrint to allow 1 forward and look for the originating email address to match against your allowed email list.

  • How do I finf my eprint address for my Envy 120 ?

It's been so long since I used the eprint function - I have forgotten the eprint address (can't seem to find the address on the printer menu) and how to forward material to the printer. I know it works as I have used before.

    Hi,
It should be on your printer control panel unless it's too old and has been removed. My suggestion:
    (a) Logon to your HP Connected account to find out, or
    (b) Check your email send box and/or contacts list. It may be there.
    Regards.

  • Fowarding emails from gmail to eprint address

    Hello,
I need to print emails, automatically, from a gmail account. I set the fowarding address to the eprinter address but I am receiving the following error message
Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:
         [email protected]
    Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain outbounds6.obsmtp.com by outbounds6.obsmtp.com. [64.18.5.12].
The error that the other server returned was:
    550 5.7.1 Command rejected
I can print from the email account, no problem. the problem is when I set it to forward automatically.
    I appreciate any help.

Hi there, unfortunately the ePrint service does not currently support the automatic forwarding of emails from mail clients. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

  • How do I move printers to a different ePrintCenter account without losing my ePrint address?

You may find that you have a lot of printers on an ePrintCenter account and want to divide them across multiple accounts, but they are already setup on one account and want to keep the ePrint address.
There are some other scenarios where a printer may need to be moved from one account to another, but it does not seem it is well known.
This is from the Help section of www.eprintcenter.com.
Move a printer from one ePrintCenter account to another
Removing a printer from one ePrintCenter account allows you to add it to a different ePrintCenter account. To move a printer from one ePrintCenter account to another:
Click on the “X” on the printer's tab on your ePrintCenter account to remove the printer from that account. Note: Your printer's Print Apps and ePrint features will continue to work after it is removed from your account.
Using the Web Services option on printer front panel menu, reprint the Web Services Information Sheet with the printer code on it.
Log into the desired ePrintCenter account and add the printer as you normally would. If you don't know your printer ID or email address, use the Web Services menu to retrieve it from the printer.
Note: You will not be able to use ePrintCenter to configure your print apps or manage ePrint settings unless your printer is added to an ePrintCenter account.

  • I need help, I sent a job to my eprint address and it did not print

    I need help, I send two jobs to my eprint address and it didn't print, nor does not even show that it even got the job. I sent it from both of the e-mails that I have set up for it to except. Can someone please let me know what I am doing wrong. By the way my printer is a HP photosmart premium fax series C410A AIO. Thanks for your help in helping me resolve this matter, Mitzi,{Personal Information Removed}

    Hey mitzidg!
Has ePrint been working for you in the past? If so, try power cycling your printer (unplugging it for about 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.) If you are still having a problem, try waiting a few hours and then trying again. Occasionally we are doing updates on the ePrint servers that can cause delays.
    Hope this helps!

  • Is there a way to personalize the eprint address?

I just got a Photosmart Premium All-in-One printer, and it's great, but I have a question about the ePrint address it spit out:
I was wondering if I could somehow manually change it to something else (e.g., [email protected]).  The randomly generated ePrint address is a bit unwieldy.
If anyone knows, your help/input is appreciated!

    Thanks for the response.
I hope that they make this an option in the [near] future; as I said, I think the randomly generated ePrint address is unwieldy and not easy to commit to memory.

  • Using old eprint address on new printer

I previously set up and used eprint on an hp photosmart C310 all-in-one printer. The printer died. Today I purchased a photosmart 6520 all-in-one and while setting up eprint I attempted to use my old eprint email address. The system would not allow this and is forcing me to use something totally new. I don't want a new address. How can I reset the system to use my original eprint address on my new printer?

    Hello hdorough,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I see that you would like to know if you can reuse an ePrint email address that was connected to another printer.
Once has ePrint email address has been claimed it is no longer available to be used again.

  • Photosmart 7510 - error when attempting to sync efax with eprint address

    Hello
I keep getting a message that i should syncro both addresses.
The e-mail address in my efax profile is my eprint address.
My eprint works just fine, tested it quite often.
when ever i key in my free efax number and PIN for the syncro, it does not work.
    Thanks
    coolfx
PS. I have to add that HP should think the efax thing carefully through as it was not easy to set up.

Although with the eFax free account you will need to sign up through the front panel of the printer, you can also view your free account at eFax.com by signing in with your phone number and pin number.
Under the Update Account, then Preferences section, your HP ePrint email address should be the only email address that is in Receive Email Addresses. Send Email Addresses will be blank if everything is correct.
If other emails are in the Receive Email Addresses field with the HP ePrint email, fax jobs will fail because ePrint jobs (which is what eFax relies on to print eFaxes) can only be sent to the HP ePrint address or ePrint jobs could fail.

We can try, but need more information from you to help!
    1.  What devices are you using?  Computer, phone, tablet, ??
    2.  Which HP printer are you asking about?  Did you register it correctly at hpconnected.com?
    3.  Are both devices using the same wifi network?

  • Migrate eprint address to new printer

Just upgraded to a new printer.  How do I get my original @hpeprint address to link to the new printer?

I just found this from another thread:
"Any used ePrint address cannot be used for 6 months period due to security reasons, during that period the address cannot be used on any device as the original devic, if that has been reset or on any other device.
Once the 180 days period overs, the address becomes free for the usage of the first one who select that address.
Only once that period will over you will be able to reselect the previous address."

  • Transfer ePrint address

    Hi.
I have a client, who has 2 pcs of Officejet Pro 8600 Plus. The printers are located in an airport and can be used free of charge for travelling passengers.
Their print solution will soon be updated and the 2 printers will be replaced by two of the new Officejet Pro X series.
My client has put a lot of money and effort into making the printers email addresses visible for the passengers, i.e. signs etc.
Is it in any way possible to transfer the ePrint addresses to the new printers or is it still not possible to this? - I know it was not possible a couple of years ago but that it would be considered to implement in a future update.
So what are the current status of this?

Well, thats not a great resolution is it.
Imy OLD printer broks (HP4620) after a mere 18 months (not very happy). Got a HP 5520 and did all the registration.
I want to TRANSFER  the email address from my OLD device to my NEW device, and you say I cant.
My immediate response is :: WHY NOT. Its a simple matter of disaccotiating the email address and deleting it from a database table
(EG Delete from [tablename] where email address = '[Email Address]')  that took me all of ten seconds to write.
So why not get your techy guys onto it and provide this facility (preferably on your HPConnected web page.

  • How do I change my eprint address

I registered my computer, and it assigned a random, impossible to remember eprint address.  When I set my mother's eprinter up, I was able to create a unique address that is easy to remember.  I don't remember getting that opportunity when I registered.
Does anybody know how I can change (customize) my eprint address?

If you have an existing ePrintCenter account, you can go to the printers page and click the Change button next to the email address on the page. After clicking the Change button a short wizard will step you through creating your custom email address.
If you do not yet have an ePrintCenter account, you will be given the opportunity to create a custom email address when you connect your printer to ePrintCenter.

    Hi herring,
Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I understand that you would like to setup the ePrint feature of your Photosmart printer to be able to print from your Chromebook.
To better assist you, would you please provide some further information:
    1)       What make/model of Photosmart do you have?
    2)      Is the printer currently connected? If so how (USB cable, ethernet, or wireless)?
    3)      Are you using the Chromebook to setup the printer? If not, what is the operating system of the computer you are going to use (Windows 7, Mac 10.8, or Windows 8, etc)?
