Forwarding voicemails individually

I have a new iPhone 3G running the new OS 3.0. For business, I need to forward individual voicemails periodically to my wife for her to handle. I can't figure out how to do that on this phone. What I'm looking for is a way to make a quick verbal comment like, "please call this person", then send that with the voicemail to her phone.
Any suggestions?

Visual voicemail messages are downloaded to the iPhone from AT&T servers, and other phones that support visual voicemail are few and far between which does not include any "dumb" phones, which access voicemail the old fashioned way - by accessing the carrier's server by calling.

I don't know if AT&T provides for this when checking voicemail the old fashioned way.
Try accessing your voicemail the old fashioned way to see if AT&T includes an option to forward a voicemail message on their server to another phone.

CUCME 8.6 Call not forwarding Voicemail

     In our office we are using CUCME 8.6 on Cisco 2951 and unity express 8.5 in ISM module. As per our configuration whenever user is busy or not answering , the call will forward to voicemail. Totally we have 24 PSTN line. So we have an additional gateway 2901. The Issue I’m facing is that, when a PSTN incoming call coming through the second gateway(2901), if the extension is busy or not answering the call is disconnecting instead of forwarding to voicemail.

Balance carry forward for individual GL

You can't run for One GL but I believe You can either for Balance sheet or P& Laccounts .
Otherwise there is no harm in running GL balance carry forward for all GLs .

Forwarding Voicemails from user on vacation

How can I set up a user's voicemails to forward to another workgroup or user? That's either for voicemails they already own OR for new incoming voicemails.
Alternatively, can an administrator (or user) reassign them. (For most of our users we had actually set up a workgroup, like x[User Name]. In those cases I just set their workgroup to overflow. Unfortunately, not all of our users got set up that way.)

The solution you mentioned works - creating a work group for each agent and using over flow. Why don't you do that for the all the agents? That could get out of had if yo had a lot of agents.
The best solution, if possible, is not to use personal voice mail but to use group voice mail. If it really is a situation where another person could handle the voice mail.
Another solution would be to train agents to update their voice mail message before they leave to let callers know they are gone.

Anyway to forward VoiceMails?

As the subject says - I would think there would be a way to forward a VM, but cannot find it - anyone know if it is possible or how?

I don't think it's possible with the iPhone VM system (if I'm not mistaken, the VM's are on your iPhone versus being on the VZW server like the system generally works...which is why unless you delete them your vm's never delete from your iPhone). Some have mentioned using Google Voice instead, but if you choose that option your Visual Voicemail is pretty much disabled (you will not get notifications or see the vm's in the VoiceMail tab). You can check it out to see if that interests you. I know there is a Google Voice App in the App store that is free but you can also go to the google voice website to get better details or google "Google Voice on iPhone 4"

HT1687 Is there any way to forward voicemail from on Iphone 5s to a different mailbox, IE office mailbox.

I want to be able to forward my iphone voicemail to my work phone so I only need to check one voicemail instead of one for my iphone then another for my work phone. I know blackberrys can do it, but don't see any setting on the iphone.

Forwarded voicemail issue

We have two offices with two different Unity Servers for voicemail. I would like to transfer a voicemail from my office to the second office, unfornatually the two unity servers dont know about each other's numbers. What would I need to setup to allow transfering voicemails from one office unity server to another?

So I’ve been looking over this documentation and maybe I’m a bit over my head. It seems that one Unity server is connected to a separate domain (long story) and the second is connected to a local domain? I see users from our AD (the active directory we manage on our local network) some users disabled and some not. If I click on a username the domain is @voicemail.local, the users that are active some are actually disabled in our AD and some that are disabled are actually live users on our network (confused yet?)
I would like to add both of these servers to our current active directory server but I’m afraid of what this could do to the voicemail boxes. What are the repercussions of me joining both of these servers to our active directory? I’ve been trying to look at the cisco site on what if anything I need to do, I guess im worried about the group policies we have on our network

Forwarding voicemails between clusters

We have 2 separate clusters. We need to forward voice mails to users on the other cluster. Is there a way to do this, besides unified messaging and forward via emails? Thanks.

Unity Connection 8.6.2 Forward vm to another email address

Hey team!
I have employees that I want the ability to forward voicemails to an outside email address such as [email protected]
I do this currently for the users that I have NOT migrated from Unity to Unity connection. The way i do it for Unity users is i create a dummy AD account that is the users 10 digit phone number. On that dummy AD account I click on the exchange general tab then click delivery options. I then set the forwarding address to something else such as [email protected]
I want to get away from creating these dummy AD accounts.
In Unity Connection is there a setting that will allow me to create a user in connection but set a relay of that voicemail to another email domain?
I have about 150 users that I would like to make this work for.

Help - Mail not playing voicemail sound attachments

Help needed please - I have got used to the amazing feature where Mail will directly play my vonage forwarded voicemails ( forwarded from my voip voicemail as wavs) . This has been an absolute life-saver and a killer feature as it means I can quickly and easily get my incoming voicemail wherever I am, all day...
BUT when I transferred my data to an iBook G4 from my titanium ( via firewire at the mac os setup assistant) , although I've got everything else to work, the qt preview of the sound file attachments in Mail moves along as if playing, but there is no sound. I work with macs professionally but short of reinstalling and rebuilding etc, I can't think how to mend this - it looks like the app is faulty - I tried removing the pref file but of course this gets pretty complex as the apparently the app stores the mailbox access records in the main plist file... so I'd have to rebuild the whole thing - Any help much appreciated

Chris, have you provided the license code for QuickTime in your new Mac?
If you only have a code for an older version, QT v7 on your new Mac may not run completely. If you do not want to spend the extra $ for the latest QT, delete it and place the older version back from your titanium, reinstall the license code when you run it the first time.

Voice Mail to users

Hello,
i have configured unity connection with exchange 2013 for single Inbox and internal corporate voice mail are been received in Exchnage Inbox and phones.
I have entered a smart host ip of exchange in unity connection,when i try to send a voice mail from outlook (view mail) to my gmail or yahoo the exchange 2013 server return back the voice mail
I just want to confirm from experts is it the correct approach i am doing by sending it to Gmail or Yahoo

Voice mail are only for Internal within the corporate.

Hello,
The send connectors are configured on Exchange not Unity Connection. That is something that needs to be worked out with the MS team. You can google it and find plenty of resource.
Also make sure that you can forward voicemails to internal users. If not make sure you have Relay emails to unknown address to Yes under General Settings in Unity Connection.

SSL SSO Communications Suite 2005Q4 setup

I posted this a few days agao on google groups and have not gotten any responses. Can anyone tell me if its possible to do SSl SSO on Communications Suite. I just want my users to access Communications Express [uwc] with mail and calendar using SSL.

Does anybody know how to setup step-by-step SSL and SSO on SUN's
Communications Suite? I am using [or rather testing] The following
products: Calendar Server 6, Messaging Server 6, Communications Express
6, Web Server 6.1 and Access Manager 7. All on just one machine.
I have managed to get Single Sign-On working fine with Comm Express but
I can not seem to manage to get it working with SSL. I mainly want to
run https via Comm Express to access messenger and calendar. This works
great on http.
I have also read [and read] SUN's documentation about setting up SSO
with SSL but that is a bit confusing [to say the least]. I found in the
Comm Express Admin Guide:
Messaging SSO is not supported in SSL.
Work around
To support Messaging SSO with SSL perform the following steps:
How to enable Messaging SSO with SSL
1. Configure Web Server in SSL mode.
2. Configure Communications Express for SSL port of Web Server.
3. Set uwcauth.ssl.enabled=true.
4. Set uwcauth.https.port to SSL port of Web Server.
5. Enable Messaging Server in SSL mode.
6. Set the webmail.port in uwcconfig.properties to SSL port of
Messaging Server.
7. Provide messagingsso.ims.url to Non SSL port of Messaging Server
8. Install the Certificate Management Server root Certificate Authority
(CMS root CA) on both Web Server and Messaging Server.
9. Restart Web Server.
10. Provide a value to local.webmail.sso.ims.verifyurl pointing to Non
SSL port of Messaging Server.
11. Restart Messaging Server.
The problem here is what is meant by "CMS root CA" ?? of course when
searched on Google I get the Communications Express Admin Guide lol :^)
Anyways I got a Thawte Cert for the web server, this seems to work fine
and the "uwc" login page works fine too. Now what do I do to get
messenger to work? Get another Cert?? It says "install CMS root CA on
both Web Server and Messenger" how??? maybe I need to create self
signed certificates??
I need to have calendar working too, there is a SSL setup for calendar
but will it run with SSO uwc??
I also run into the problem in the Admin Guides of using "iplanet
console" to manage certs and some other features, what is this? of
course I can't find it or SUN has changed its name [but still suggests
to use it].
Well I am a bit frustrated, maybe something I am missing or not read
correctly [my apologies]. I do not think this to be uncommon to want an
integrated mail and calendar application running SSO and SSL. So if
anybody knows an easy step-by-step setup or a link to such a thing
please let me know. I am not new to Unix nor Solaris but definitely
know little about Communications Suite [or maybe SUN has changed that
name too :^(

You do not need to use Console for anything.
You can use "certutil" to manipulate certificates, should you prefer to do that.
You can use "configutil" to change config settings.

I also understand that the benefit of SSO is not to
have to sign on several times and that in my case we
are talking about 3 different pieces of software, CE,
ME and Calendar [plus Access Manager].
I am running my system with SSO on CE, ME and
Calendar and it works great. I wish to offer this
setup so my users can access both mail and calendar
via one web interface, just like hotmail, yahoo etc.
I also want remote users to access the same web
b interface via SSL [their passwds will have some
level of security]. As usual, you need to take these one step at a time. First, get your SSL working. Then get CE working. Then follow the documentation to get SSO working. It does work. Many others have been successful getting it all to work.
The reason I asked about possibly another SUN product
is because I have setup other products like IMP and
Zimbra via SSL and they work in this fashion.
I am fairly sure this is possible with these SUN
products but I am still trying to figure out how to
do it.
This is why I am asking if anybody has any experience
setting up this combination of products in this
fashion, please let me know or guide me in the right
direction.

Moving from Entourage to Mac Mail

Hey All,
I'm moving all of my mail accounts over to mac mail so that when the time comes that I have my iPhone (few months hopefully) all my mail will go to the mac mail app, and thus to my phone as well.
First is there a way I can move all of my messages that i have saved from Entourage over to mail (without forwarding each individual one) AND i can't figure out how to create folders. I can make a smart mailbox, but I'm trying to create a folder so that, for instance, when my boss sends me an email, i can move it to the folder, so that I can save it. OR even have a rule set so that messages from my boss go to that folder. I was able to do it in entourage, i'm just wondering if i can in mail?

L920 Cyan Update: minor problems after update

Hello everyone! I thought I should try to find help here since the FAQs won't do in my situation. I updated my Lumia 920 (Italian CV) to Lumia Cyan and Windows Phone 8.1 a few days ago (the morning it became available) and I noticed a few nuisances, especially regarding to the system apps that came with the firmware update.
So, let's begin: after the WP8.1+Cyan update I had to restart my phone several times to be able to project my screen, to update the glance screen and Networking+ apps etc., which is not a problem for me. The problem is that some of them are not functioning as they should be: for example, a minor issue is that the glance screen keeps showing the "Low battery+in battery saver mode" icon when my phone is low on battery but is not in battery saver mode (I checked it, it was disabled in the Battery Saver app). Another, more annoying issue is that the Display settings app (that lets me configure my color profile etc.) does not have options I expect it to have and it does not behave as it should: for example, as far as I know, I should have a brightness profile menu - which I do not have. I did not really need this function but it is missing so in this case I think it is an issue. What the real problem is, that when the ~"Lower screen brightness when in battery saver mode" option is enabled, my phone's soft buttons' lights automatically turn off (even in low light) and my screen's brightness is lower when it is set to "Automatic". This would not be a problem when I'm in battery saver mode, but I am not! Another minor issue is that when I try to slide to the app list from the start screen, it lags a bit: I mean, it does not instantly follow my finger but instead waits a very short amount of time and then slides to the left.
So, what I found out is that somehow these Nokia system apps could think that I am continuously in battery saver mode and it does not matter if I turn it off or change it to "when battery is low" or anything. Also found out that now my battery saver app says "Last charge: less than an hour ago" - I charged it yesterday and have not plugged the USB cable into it since then. I also do not see the USB settings in my Settings view, but I can reach it by searching "USB" - it's like if it was in developer preview o.O
I do not have issues with touch or anything else (yet?) but I would like to ask you if there is a solution which is not hard resetting my phone? I already did a soft reset, manual reboot, "let the phone battery go to zero and then fully charge it up" but none of them helped. I tried to change the brightness settings, updated all the apps and checked for system updates etc.
Some probably useful information:
Phone: Lumia 920 (Yellow)
Carrier: Italy - CV
Update process: that's a bit tricky: I received Lumia Black with GDR3 and then I thought I could try WP8.1, ticked the preview app's box and received that "post-GDR3 update" which was a really small package then I changed my mind and disabled the developer preview function, so I did not receive a notification of the WP8.1 update. I received the "pre-WP8.1 update" then the WP8.1+Lumia Cyan update, everything went smoothly except that my phone rebooted when I started configuring WP8.1 (I thought it should have rebooted earlier..). Another "probably-not-an-issue" is that when I enter my SIM PIN, the phone says "accepted", the label switches back to "Enter SIM PIN" and then after ~0.5 seconds it goes away and unlocks. Might this be caused by WP8.1's Dual SIM support?
So, in short I only have these little issues, that the phone's Nokia system apps somehow always detect that I'm in battery saver mode. Short addition: Iupdated the "Display" app while I was still on WP8 GDR3+Lumia Black.
Again, the question is whether there are any solutions except hard resetting, because that is the last thing I want to do with my phone and only if there really is nothing else :-/
