problem started when I clicked to install latest

Didn't like it because it defaults to Yahoo and lacks the IMAGE, MAPS, VIDEO etc. bar.
Did a system restor to get back to my original firefox version.
Firefox-Icon will no longer bring up internet.
I CAN connect to internet with my explorer icon.

Hit the '''Alt''' key to show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar & Navigation bar, so they have a check-mark.

hello, the addons manager is exactly the right place to look for it. please try disabling the addons that are listed there one-by-one (a restart of the browser might be necessary after each step). maybe one of them is bundling this kind of adware.

How do you eject your iOS device from photos? Right clicking does not bring up the menu.

I noticed there is no intuitive way to eject the iOS device from Photos. No up arrow, and right clicking does not bring up an eject option. I do not want to enlarge the "other" space of my iOS device by not ejecting it properly.

I too have noticed this. Yesterday after downloading photos from my iPhone 5s to Mac Photos for the first time since iOS and OSX updates on the weekend. I do not have the option to sync this phone to iTunes when connected ticked so only Photos opens. After download I wanted to eject the phone but noted no eject arrow in Photos, I went to a new Finder window and was surprised to see the phone was not listed under Devices so I had to launch iTunes and allow a sync to complete before I could eject. This is plainly not right, the industry and Apple themselves tell us constantly that we must "Eject" before removal of a USB device. If not one usually gets a dialogue box to say the device was not properly ejected.

As stated above, the icon that use to come up on the desktop when you clicked the HP Solution Center (use to be able to scan/fax/etc. by clicking the selected item on the icon) does not come up. The printer will fax using the panel on the printer. Everything was working ok prior to replacing the printer with HP8500A Plus. At which time I deleted all files and programs associated with the J5780 printer and installed the software for the 8500A printer. I was not satisfied with the 8500A, so I removed the software for the 8500A from the computer and then restored my computer to a prior date when the J5780 was installed and working ok. Another problem that I have with the J5780 printer follows: Prior to having a WIN7 computer, the printer would print on both sides of the paper. Since installing the WIN7 computer, it will not print on both sides. I have discussed this problem with HP in the past but still do not have a fix for this problem. If anyone can help me on these two problems, I would really appreciate it.
Does anyone have the Starter CD for WIN7 systems for the HP Officejet J5780. If so, could you make a copy for me and I will pay you for it.

It sounds like there is something on the computer blocking the installation. Please complete the following steps and let me know the outcome;
Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.
Hold down the Windows Logo key on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box
In the Open box, type msiexec /unregister, and then click OK.

On my IPad Words With Friends has frozen. I have double clicked on the home button and identified the WWF icon. When I press and hold or swipe vertically the icon darkens but does not shake or bring up the minus sign. Any suggestions?

I am not entirely sure what happened, but I know I have been having more problems with this phone then success.
Tonight, I just happened to change the skin of my Incredible 2. Now, I don't know if this caused the problems, but I don't see why it would. After changing it, about 10-15 minutes later, I went to push the "phone" button and all that came up was a little box that said "phone." That's it. Nothing opened.
A few minutes after getting off the phone, I went to read a text message and it only said the number of the person texting me, but the contact ID was still there. When I accessed the contacts through "people," all my contacts are still there, yet every time I go back to my messages, the names will not appear.
Also, for some odd reason, my location is not being read (which it typically always reads, no matter the circumstances).
All of these little problems aren't a big deal and can be worked around, obviously, but I am just wondering what could have happened and what can I do to at least be able to click "phone" and actually get my phone to come up. That would be much appreciated. This all just started happening out of nowhere and I would really just want to make calls easily again.

Getonmylevell8, thanks for sharing your concerns with the device. I'm sorry to hear you are having so many issues with your Incredible 2. I have one myself and I love it. First, one thing I often recommend is to clear cache from applications. This does not delete any information from the phone, and it resolves many minor issues without needing to do a full reset. First, for the phone issue, try clearing cache by going to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>Phone>Clear data/cache.
For the messaging issue, I have had this issue myself. It only happened with two contacts and both of them had more than one number linked. For me, just restarting the phone resolved this issue. The other thing is to make sure the contact is saved correctly in the phone. Make sure it is saved as 10 digits.
For the location issue, do you have all location settings turned on in Settings>Location & Security? Is this happening with Google Maps, or with the Google homepage?

This question was about clicking the star on the Navigation Toolbar to edit the bookmark.
You need the left-click the highlighted star button to edit the bookmark because a right-click opens the toolbar context menu.
You can right-click a bookmark in other places like on the Bookmarks Toolbar or in the sidebar and in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) to edit the Properties.

When trying to export data from a program we use, it does not automatically recognize the file format as .xml. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem?

I have tried to uninstall verion 3.6 and reinstall. Also, I re-imaged the workstation, but it still does not work. The OS is Windows 7 32-bit. This same process works automatically on an XP workstation. In fact, the machine I re-imaged was an XP box, but it did not work on this particular machine. Hence, the reason for the new image.

I am exporting the file from TxEIS (in the Firefox web browser) and it does not download properly. Acccording to Firefox documentation, it is supposed to automatically recognize the file extension. I have not experienced this on any other machine within our environment. Other users are performing this same process with no problems. Ok, I was an old fool, there is indeed a setting on the Lumix LX5 camera which seems to allows both audio and video, although not AVC HD, the camera must be set to Motion JPEG and subsequently NOT to PICT Bridge, rather to PC for the output. Anyone who decides to purchase a Panasonic Lumix should be aware of this. The iPad 2 will display Lumix perfectly in 720p which is enough for the old fool. The Sony NEX5N at twice the cost will do 1080p, but on the iPad and our TV the difference I suspect will not be noticeable.

Firefox 3.6.3 does not bring up the "add exception" option for a self-signed certificate

Hello. The company website I use has moved to a new server. The new server required some changes apparently, and now I am receiving the message CompanyXYZ.net:987 uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because it is self-signed. The certificate is only valid for Now, on 1 of my 3 computers, I received the I understand the risks, and an option to Add an Exception. However, on the other 2 computers, I simply receive the previously described popup window and no option to proceed. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you for your genius.

i didn't read a lot of your 2nd paragraph, but it seems like the password is the issue, right?
do a true clean install
reboot your machine and hold down command+option+r, you should see a spinning globe - if you don't see the globe or anything that reads internet recovery, shut down and try again
at menu, chose disk utility and once there, find your HD on the left side, select the physical name and erase it as mac journaled
exit disk utlity
at menu, choose install OSX
this time, when it asks for a password just hit continue, it will let you complete without a password
you should be able to get into your laptop, now figure out what password you'll be able to use with your kb issue

Key to the left of the URL does not bring back the save password feature.

I have read a lot of threads and pages on Firefox not saving passwords. I do not have "Private Browsing" on. I have cookies and history saved "until they expire". I have "save passwords" checked. I have no exceptions.
When I go to enter a password, no little window pops up to ask me to save it. However, a little key _does_ appear. But the key is greyed out and clicking it does nothing. It doesn't "un-hide" the password saver.
I have disabled all add-ons, restarted and tried it again. It was still the same. The sites are all ones that function perfectly well on my desktop computer, but not on my laptop. The laptop is the one that will not save passwords.
It is a Samsung running Windows 7.

Which extensions do you have?
Maybe some component is still active if all extensions are disabled or some prefs get changed.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.
