I have a mac.
I have been attaching photos by dragging and dropping. It seems to work but then all say "failed." And if it looks like a few are okay, they aren't able to be opened or people (including mac users) say "I can't open" or "nothing there." I am attaching documents - same thing -
people cannot open the documents. Is there a basic "how to" Firefox manual? (The forum questions are waaay over my head) Thanks

Oh, wait -- also, you took about uploading CDs. I don't think *those* would automatically go to your other devices *until* you subscribe to iMatch or whatever that's called. You have to pay an extra $25 a year to get all your uploaded stuff in the cloud and therefore on your other devices. Anything you *purchase* from iTunes on one device would automatically be sent to the other devices.
I did the Match thing, and it took a while at first to upload all the non-iTunes stuff, but then it worked. The whole thing is still new and has some kinks to work out.

Since downloading and installing Lion, have been having trouble with internet connection. Are there settings that I need to adjust?

Just installed Lion 10.7 ... having problems opening Safari and connectivity. Have to reset modem, restart computer, etc. It will be stable for awhile, then next time I log on, have to go through same things. Is there a setting that I need to adjust?

Also, I have already done the 10.7.1 update...come to think of it, the problem seems to have started after the update. Any thoughts?

Well I am feeling a bit silly now because that was all I had to do. In the past Workgroup Manager had always opened right up to the list of my users, I never even thought to click on that but apparently that was all that was needed.
I still am not sure how the iChat Server preferences changed themselves on me, but it is not the first time I have had weird "settings" issues with our Snow Leopard Server.

I have changed my password through Security and my Accounts numerous times to no avail.
Is there anything I can do other than Resetting the entire computer and re installing all of the software, apps, etc.etc.

Back up all data before proceeding.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select
          Change Settings for Keychain "login"
In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
From the menu bar, select

Apps can only be updated using the same Apple ID and password they were originally purchased with.

It has something to do with Segoe fonts in your system.

This is how you Reset - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1. The hardware prevent unsing a higher version.
