Found Disabled Ipod touch 4
Is there any way I can restore this Ipod from my own Computer? It was sitting in my bosses desk for a year and no one claimed it. It is disabled and won't show the numbers to unlock the devise. When I try to restore it on Itunes, about the 40 minutes remainging mark, the Ipod shows the disabled screen again.
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -

I have an ipod touch and an ipod nano. I also used to have a laptop but, it quit working and I no longer have it. I had all of my music on my laptop. So, I had to buy a new desktop. I lost my ipod touch at around the same time. I had all of my music on the ipod touch that was from my laptop. So in thye meantime I started using my nano more. I bought new songs on my desktop for my nano. Then I found my ipod touch. I would like to be able to keep both the somgs I have now on my ipod touch and the ones that I already bought on the desktop. What do I do?
No.
All iTunes content on your iPod Touch should be in your iTunes library on your computer, and your iTunes library on your computer should be included with your computer's backup along with all other important data - stored on an external drive or some other external media used for backup purposes only.

Resetting a disabled iPod Touch 5th generation through recovery mode not working.
I bought a disabled iPod Touch 5th generation at a garage sale. I looked up how to reset it and followed every step given and it was working. It said there were about 82 minutes and it was restoring for about until 70 minutes and then a pop-up comes up saying it can't restore it because it has a password on it! Please help me.
Try disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall.
- Next try the manual install method of:
iDevice Troubleshooting 101 :: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch
Place the iPod in recovery mode after the firmware download is complete and then restore using the instructions in the article. Sometimes recovery mode timeouts and returns to disabled before the firmware download is complete.

I found a ipod touch friday how can i find the owner
Hi i found a ipod touch friday how can i find the owner...
If you can't access the iPod and and screen does not have any message then turn it into the police. Also, if lost on private property, report it to the owners of the property.

Found an Ipod touch--how can I locate the owner?
I found an Ipod touch--how can I locate the owner? The Ipod requires a passcode.
You can't. Turn the iPod into your local police department, or the station closest to where you found the iPod. They have resources for identifying and contating the owner, should they wish to take that time.
