Found New Bug with 1.1.3

Tried on two iphones if you have the security lock on it sometimes does not work has anyone else noticed this problem?

Try these steps. I've found that when one thing clearly works and another clearly doesn't, the disconnect may be in the actual discrete steps.
Starting from the home screen
1) Tap Settings
2) Tap General
3) Look at Passcode Lock (should be off)
4) Tap Passcode Lock
5) Enter a Passcode
Again, to make sure we're both doing the same thing, enter 1589
6) Enter 1589 again
You should now see the Passcode Lock screen.
7) Press the black button on the upper right hand edge of your iPhone
8) Press the Home button
9) Slide your finger across "slide to unlock" to unlock the phone
You should now be prompted to "Enter Passcode". If not, maybe there are more serious problems.

I think I found a bug with CC 14 in which text layers wont render! Super Annoying!!!!!!!

I was editing a Youtube video and I noticed my text layers I added to my footage wouldn't render out on video. Instead my video would freeze then start playing again. I tried to render out as a ProRes file and it still happened. Then I just wanted to render out the text and low and behold the screen was blank. I just switched recently from CS6 is there any way around this? It's a good thing I discovered this early because I still have my 30days to cancel.
I'm editing on a Macbook Pro Retina 15 inch with 2GB Nvidia Card and 16GB of RAM.

In addition to the oddities that Ann noted, the sequence is interlaced whereas the export settings are progressive. I have no particular reason to think that any of these weird little details would cause a problem, but it sure is a quirky set of properties.
I'd start by testing with a more normal scenario to see if the problem persists:
New project
New sequence, using a 1080 preset, such as AVCHD 1080p24.
Create a Universal Counting Leader and a title and add both to the timeline.
Export to the same YouTube preset.
If the encoded output from that sequence has the same problem, then it's time to collect info about your system: OS version, graphics card & driver, whether you've installed any codecs.
If the title survives the test, then start tweaking things in the direction of the problematic sequence, changing just one variable at a time--adding the odd 29.99 AVCHD clip, changing one sequence setting at a time, etc. Export after each change and see if the issue resurfaces.
Also worth testing:
try the various encoding paths: "in-process" by clicking Export in the Export Settings dialog, and via AME by clicking Queue.
In AME, encode one with the Import Sequences Natively setting enabled, then again with the option disabled. [Preferences>General]
Test with Renderer set to GPU Acceleration and with it set to Software Only [File>Project Settings>General]

New bug with 1.1.2 - video bookmarking

Since the latest updater release (June 28th 2006) the iPod 5G with software 1.1.2 no longer remembers the playback position of videos.
Even though "Remember playback position" is checked for the file in iTunes, the iPod now ignores this with software 1.1.2
Somebody else noticed the problem on the iLounge forums:

FYI, this also works with music. If you check remember playback you can pick up your song where you stopped it. The only thing is you have to set each one at a time. I usually do this only on long songs , more than 10 minutes. I listen to a lot of classical and some of them can be quite long so I like to be a ble to pick up where I left off.

I could exchange information with the VIA RAIL Canada website before 8.0 but no longer (Safari works OK). Is this a new bug with issue 8.0?

On website viarail.ca is a form to request train and fare info. I could do this OK before I upgraded to Firefox 8.0, but not since. It doesn't accept Origin or Destination input. I hate Safari but it does work!

Photo sync bug with Aperture albums?

Hi, I think I have found a bug with how iTunes syncs photos across to my new (and until my number ports across, useless) iPhone.
If you set it up that only selected Aperture albums are synced, like this;
[ ] album1
[tick] album2
[ ] album3
[tick] album4
then albums 2 and 4 are optimized and copied across.
However, if in Aperture you create a new album (by importing new photos, say) that appears in the list, e.g., between album2 and album3, then the ticks retain their spacial position, not their position relative to the album they are meant to sync;
[ ] album1
[tick] album2
[ ] album_new
[tick] album3
[ ] album4
So now, when you sync, album4 is deleted and album3 is placed on the phone - not what you would expect.
Has anyone else noticed this?

That's strange... I am using leopard, with iTunes 7.5 and a brand new UK iPhone (so it has 1.1.2 already on it). It was essentially in 'virgin' state too; I had to return my 1st phone due to a tiny but annoying problem with it. I noticed the this after only a couple of syncs - when the sync was taking a while due to the photo optimizing step.
I will take another look tonight.

Bug with the cover flow in OS3.1.2

I am a Chinese user of iTouch and I have found a bug with the cover flow.
In the normal mode, there is only 1 album. But when i switch it to the cover flow, it has more than one, all of which have the complete album after it.
what's still peculiar is that
1.it happens only to the simplified chinese songs.
2.when i switch the language of my itouch to traditional chinese or english, there is 1 cover flow.
can anyone help me?

New bug introduced with Keynote 5.2 - Set timing and order of each build has stopped working properly on Smart Builds

Hi there,
We're heavy users of Keynote and have noticed a new bug has recently been introduced into something that was stable. I think it has emerged in Keynote 5.2, could have been Keynote 5.1 also.
It's in the area of Set Timing and Order of each build when used on a Smartbuild. You can no longer set the Start Build field for each instance within the Smart build when the instances are interspersed between other items. The Start build field is just blank and unselectable.
To see this :
1. Create a bullet point list with 4 lines
2. Set build to Appear
3. Set "Set Timing and Order of each Build" to on
4. Create a Smart Build - set to flip
5. On the Smart Build Set "Set Timing and Order of each Build" to on
5. re-order the items in your Build Order so that they alternate between the bullet point and the smart build flip
At this point, you used to be able to set the bullets so that they Started on Click and then set the smart builds to Start with previous. This gave you a nice and very useful effect where you could click to reveal a bullet point and at the same time flip in a corresponding image. We've used this loads of times in our company presentations.
With a recent keynote update ( I think 5.2 maybe, could have been 5.1) this functinality has been lost. have tried it on Lion and Mountain Lion and it's not an OS issue, its a Keynote issue.
Could anyone from Apple acknowledge that they know the issue and suggest if it will get fixed? Right now we're hunting round for an old Keynote 9 DVD so we can install a pre build 5.2 version.

I've noticed the bug you describe and to me it's very irritating.
I also found some differences in the build menu between the last release and the previous one, and between the Mac OS X and iOS versions. For instance, the blast build doesn't exist anymore in Keynote 5.2 but it's still in the version for iOS 6.
What is your experience about?

Unfortunately, Safari cannot be updated past 5.1.10 on a Mac running v10.6.8.
So, the options are to upgrade to a newer OS X or use Firefox or Chrome.

Blocking bug with 10.8.3+Adobe Lightroom+Canon iPF5000 (but workaround found)

Hi all,
since I have updated my MacBook Pro (early 2011 model) with 10.8.3, I have a blocking bug with Adobe Lightroom (either 4.3 or 4.4) for launching prints on my Canon iPF5000 (firmware 1.33, either MacOS driver 2.67 or 3.06, connection through USB).
When I was under 10.8.2 with the Canon's driver 3.06, everything works fine.
Basically, after clicking Print a Copy or Print... in Lightroom, the file spooled to the driver stays in MacOS printer queue. Within the printer queue window, the printer is in pause mode, and each time I try to resume the printing processing, the driver put it on hold immediately. When I look into the history on the Console, the driver complains about an unknown error... The data stay within the driver, as my Canon iPF5000 "Data" led indicator stays unlit.
My print settings are 600dpi or 300dpi, print sharpening Standard/Glossy, 16 bit output. And Color managed by printer (because I let the Canon driver managing my B&W prints).
Strangely enough, when I launch a print from Preview application, the drivers does its job and sends it successfully to my Canon iPF5000...
As this was driving me crazy, I have tried a clean install of MacOS 10.8.3 (as 10.8.2 is no more available from Apple servers...). No success, same blocking issue.
Eventually, I've found the workaround: using the imagePROGRAF Advanced Preview. You have to click on "Print..." in Lightroom in order to see the driver settings window, and then check the "Preview before printing" option in the main tab of the driver settings. Then I can preview my Lightroom printing work and then launch successfully my printing.
Simple workaround, but very strange bug...
For me, the root cause could be multiple and not very obvious.
Is it Mac OS 10.8.3 ? But why can I make prints from Preview application for instance, and not from LR ?
Is it the Canon driver ? But this lead me to the same question.
Is it Lightroom ? Does it send corrupted data that make the driver crazy but not the imagePROGRAF Advanced Preview ?
So, if any user of Canon iPF5000 + Mac OS 10.8 + Lightroom is around, please share your experience.
And if any Apple, Adobe or Canon engineer read this, please try to fix this.

It's different how applications write print data. If you use Advanced Preview from the driver then it calculates already the output which afterwards is only sent to the printer.
Have you once tried to print with fast graphic process switched off (option of advanced settings)?

A Bug with the new ms-6729 Bios (6729v5.30)

After updating my Bios to the new version, the motherboard detect my CPU(Athlon 2400+) as a 1800+.
I tried to change settings manually without success.
Anybody has encountred a similar problem?

I'm not a novice, i mounted more than 300 computers for my clients, and
around 30 of last 50 computers are with MSI Motherboards.
Cpu Fsb for Athlon 2400+ is 133 but the ddr/fsb is 4:5 because i'm using
DDR 333 and the K7N2-V (MS-6729) is DDR 400 ready.
With all MSI motherboards i mounted, it’s enough to put the correct CPU
FSB and (Auto) to detect everything by the SPD.
Certainly it's a BUG with the new version because the Bios and Windows
detect CPU as Athlon 1800+ (1500) instead of 2400+ (20000.

I click on the launcher and nothing happens, 15 min later it will tell cant connect to the server.
My computer is a windows 8.1; 64 bit operating system. I am stationed in South Korea, but that should not affect the program. Help please.

Could you please let me know what changes have you made in the registry.
You might need to uninstall Adobe Reader from Control Panel and try install it again from the following link:
Adobe Reader Install for all versions
Please ensure that you are logged in as administrator and anti-virus is disabled as that might interrupt installation.
Try again and then let me know.

Mail app bug with jumping to new line below signature

Hi!
Since day one of using Lion i have this incredibly annoying bug with Mail application.
I have a formated signature in all my emails. Sometimes when I am composing a mail (or rather replying for one) and when I hit RETURN on keyboard, cursor moves BELOW signature and inserts new line below signature - not in place when it was when I hit RETURN.
The same is when I have cursor in middle of my message and hit enter. Nothing happens - text ater place when cursor was when I hit enter is staying where it was but cursor moves below signature and enters new line in there.
Anyone has solution for this?

Triple-click the word "telnet" in the line below on this page to select the whole line:

Photos should show a number of new photos with faces found on each face at faces page.
This would help me not to go over every person and check for new photos.
