Upon upgrading my iOS devices, I found a strange email account was using my apple id account for iMessage

I know that last sentence makes NO SENSE WHATSOEVER. I was dozing off when I made this post. What I was trying to say was: "The frustration of not being able to uniquely identify which device is being used is driving me to drink!" Ha Ha

Since the basic service is included with the subscription, would I have to pay full-fare for an upgrade just to get an email address? I'm worried, because I get messages saying that some servers will block forms that are sent to an address other than from the domain, and we have a form on our site.

First on a computer try editing your ID to change the payment method to None.

I am trying to use my apple ID for iMessage, but it keeps saying username or password was incorrect!
I use to send and receive iMessages through my apple ID instead of a phone number as I travel a lot. For the past few days, it suddenly switched to sending and receiving to my current number and not my email (my apple ID)

How can I remove an email address from one apple account and associate it with another?

I created an appleID account to use with the mac AppStore without realising i previously had an appleID account from my first iPod touch.
Now with OSX 10.8 I want to use the email address from the old account with the new account for Messages.app without having to manage 2 logins.
I've followed the steps found on the support page http://support.apple.com/kb/HE68 under the section "How to add an additional email address that is already associated with another Apple ID" but each time I attempt to add the removed email address from the new account to the old account the input box shows the error: Email address is already verified for another Apple ID.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution?

Open the Contacts app. List All Contacts and find the email address used by iMessage. Select the email address and tap the Edit button in the top right corner. Add your name to the top two lines. Tap Done.

Is using one Apple Account for a family of two the best way to go?

We are a family of two; at the beginning, I was the only Mc user (iPhone, MacBook Air and iMac). Then my wife got an iMac, an iPad and just ordered an iPhone. Our problem is that we are both using my same Apple Account and ID - which is fine because we want to share our calendars, phone book etc… Is this the best way to go, or should I create an Apple Account for her and then run the option Family Share ? What do you recommend ? How do I proceed with an eventual change ?

Just sign out of the account on her devices, then sign into the new account, don't forget Find My Phone (it it is active)

If someone else has set up an ICloud account using my email address and Apple ID but has chosen his name for the mail name, can I get rid of his name in the [email protected] and put mine in there? Or do I have to set up a whole new acount with a new Apple ID? Will I be able to do that with his name already linked to my email address?

How did he manage to do this? - he would have to have known your password if he was using an existing Apple ID. You should change it immediately to something strong and unguessable. That will prevent him accessing the account or using the email he has set up (assuming he hasn't changed the password and locked you out).
You can't change the primary @icloud.com address once set up, though you can create additional addresses as email aliases: if he's given this address out you will get his emails but you could set up a Rule to trash them.
You might to better to create a new ID and iCloud account anyway. To do this you wil need a different non-Apple email address (you could use a free GMail one); or you have the option in the iCloud prefs pane to choose an @icloud.com address and make that the ID.

HT201356 Why can't I change my "Apple ID and Primary Email Address" to an email address using an Apple domain?

I am trying to use an Apple EMail address as my primary email address and I am unable to change it. I previously had another "nonapple" address identified as my Apple ID and Primary Email address. Now I apparantly can only change it to another "non Apple" related email address. It seems stupid to have to go to Google and use thier email address to make a change.
What gives.

Thanks Roger! I understand that it is an Apple ID already that makes sense. That "non Apple " address however, is compromised and I do not wish to use it anymore and will be shutting it down. I find it strange that I must only identify a "Non Apple" address as my "primary email address". I have an alias address on the account and I can sign in using it as my Apple ID. i don't see the Logic in forcing someone to use another email provider as your primary mail service. (I know I can set up alias's and use them under an Apple domain, but the primary email will still be there and I understand used for any account communications from Apple.) Any further comments on this situations?

Rogue email address in my Apple account

OK, so I have my iTunes and App Store acounts, which were set up with a hotmail email address. These are the ones I've always used, for years.
I've recently upgraded to Yosemite, and now when I open app store and click the apps I need to update (currently 5 - Pages, Numbers etc) It throws up a box saying I need to login to update these apps.
The problem is, in the email address field, the address listed isn't my registered hotmail address, it's a little known gmail address, and there's no way of changing it, so I can't update my apps. I've no idea how Apple has even gotten hold of this gmail address... it's only about 12 months old and hardly ever used. But the app store has somehow gotten hold of it and refuses to let go.
When I go into the app store settings, it shows I'm logged in under the hotmail account. I've tried logging out and back in again but it still isn't showing the correct email when I go to update my apps.
I spent 90 mins on live chat last night with Apple, and they honestly didn't know what to tell me. We tried everything.
Someone on a forum suggested that a random app on one of my apple devices might have been set up with the rogue gmail (I'm sure not) so I'd need to go into each app and view the settings to see what email account was used to set up each. Problem is, in an effort to sort this, I tried taking that option out of the equation by deleting all of my apps. In iTunes on my iMac, there were copies of my iPod touch apps backed up on there, so I deleted them all, I then went into my iPod touch and deleted every single app which didn't come with the system software. There are no app store apps in itunes or my app store, but still the problem is there.
I just can't understand how this email has gotten in there, or how the **** I can get rid of it so I can get my Numbers, Words etc apps up to date.
A little help, anyone?

2. In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select
          File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
          Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu of search criteria, initially showing Kind. From that menu, select
          Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select
          Raw Query
as the criterion, then click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of the menu of search criteria. That's where you enter the raw search query. Click in that box and paste the text you copied earlier by pressing command-V.
3. The search window will now show all the App Store products that are installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
4. At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
5. Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.
If you find these instructions confusing, ask for an alternative method.
