Hi,
It is nor scheduling but it is consumption of PIRs.
In case of Forward consumption, PIRs within the forward consumption period from current date are consumed.
Incase of Backward consumption, PIRs within the backward consumption period from current date are consumed.
Incase of Forward/Backward consumption, first forward consumption for the forward consumtion period is done then Backward.
Backwar/forward consumption is Vice-versa of Forward/backward.

My scenario is as follows:
1) Did a forecast of a material for 3 months
2) Created a Reservation between does 3 months
Problem:
1) No compensation was made to any of the forecasted quantities (i.e if forcasted quatities was 100- and the reservation was 20-, the forecasted model remained 100- and a reservation of 20- came up when MRP was run)
Expected Results:
1) Forecasted quantity 80- and reservation 20-, i.e. total 100- not 120-

Your question is related to delivery date proposed in the Sales Order processing. This has nothing to do with the consumption mode in the material master. Instead the delivery dates are proposed as per total replen lead time and inhouse prod time from MRP views.

UI Control options do not appear for TCD mode and Webdynpro mode

When I open the screen Start option in eCATT for ECC 7.0, there is no options for TCD mode and Webdynpro mode, only have for SAPGUI mode. So pls help to me find the options for these modes.

Consumption Mode not maintained in MRP3

Hi All,
How will the system react if the consumption mode is not maintained in MRP3? Is there a order priority on how/where the system will look for consumption mode?

Dear,
The parameters maintained in the material master (material requirements planning view 3) have the highest priority. If you do not specify a consumption mode, the system uses the consumption parameters from the MRP group that is assigned to the material. If a consumption mode is not specified there, the consumption mode is set to '1' by default (backward consumption only) with a (backward) consumption period of 999 days. This means that the consumption cannot be deactivated because the consumption parameters have not been maintained. The consumption periods are calculated in workdays.

TS4006 my iphone has gone into the lost mode and i have tried to reactivate it with itunes but its not working. itunes says i should insert the simcard pin code but there is no option for me to do that on the phone or itunes. please help........

Is there a command line option for VNC to automatically launch in fullscreen mode?

I can launch a VNC window from the command line, as such:
open vnc://username:password@hostname
... but I'd like it to automatically start in full screen mode. Is there a command line option for this?
I'm using an old MacMini purely to connect to another Mac over screen sharing, but when the MacMini boots I'd like it to go straight into the fullscreen of the other desktop.

Set the Integer pref browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes to 0 on the about:config page to get the about:sessionrestore page immediately with the first restart after a crash has occurred or the Task Manager was used to close Firefox.

The easiest thing to start with is to reset the Eraser Tool.
Right click on the Eraser icon in the tool options bar and then click on Reset Tool.

SA520 Optional port WAN mode for isolated network?

Long story short, client bought 2 SA520's, one for each site due to it's ability to have a second wan/lan port (Optional Port). They have a 2nd WAN connection installed that does not have internet. Esentially it is a hospital link that was install to gain access to some Citrix systems and custom web portals for hispital use.
The IDEA was to enable optional port for WAN mode. Then I was going to add a route statement that any traffic destined to the hospital network would route to the optional wan port,
Problem - When just enabling WAN port in Optional settings, the WAN port won't come online. I have to chose load balancing or failover. Neither of which are true; I don't want balancing or failover since it isn't a real "internet" connection.
I thought about setting port to LAN mode but it appears that simply makes the router a 5 port switch instead of 4. I was hoping I could just simply create a second LAN segment and route to it as well for certain traffic. Once I enable LAN mode however all configuration disappears and the Networking>LAN menu shows no specific Optional Port configuration options.
??? Can this not be configured as such? Saying it offers a optional port for LAN/WAN/DMZ configurations sort of means doing what I need it to do. I'm missing something, somewhere.

Hi Eric,
One thing you can do is to enable the Optional WAN port. Set the 'WAN Mode' to load balancing. Then use the 'Protocol' Bindings' to handle your routes. You would configure your Hospital network IP network range as the destination network and select your Optional WAN. Another rule would be a destination of ANY for the Destination that would go out the dedicated WAN. You may have to add a rule for DNS resolution to go through your hospital network so the local hospital DNS entries resolve.

HT201210 Ipad 4 rebooted automatically numerous times...froze up...hard restarted using home and power...put itself into restore mode "connect to iTunes"...I did this but I get error '1600' and can't perform restore...i've exhausted all fix options for '1

Hi folks as in the title:
My Ipad 4 froze up and rebooted automatically numerous times.
It then immediately froze up completely and didn't try and reboot itself.
I then hard restarted the device using the home and power buttons simultaneously.
I got the Apple logo and saw my desktop for a moment and then it froze up.
Hard rebooted again only this time I saw "connect to iTunes".
I connected the device to my MBP and iTunes where I was told it was in restore mode.
I followed the on-screen instructions in iTunes to restore the device.
I spent 15minutes downloading the necessary files etc only for the restore to fail through error code '1600'.
I explored this error code in Apple support and followed all Apple's suggestions, and subsequently tried the restore each time.
I have now exhausted all fix options for '1600'...and I can't even get 'connect to iTunes message' on my iPad device now.
Any suggestions would be welcome please?

Unfortunately I don't have another computer with which to try a restore from.
I've tried to reboot the iPad again using the sleep and home buttons (whilst it is unplugged from my MBP) and it remains completely lifeless. I know there is 80% battery life in the device as I had it charging when it malfunctioned.
I've tried recovery mode through iTunes in excess of 15 times now all yielding the same and inevitable result of 'error 1600'.
I think it's time to get to know the team at my local Apple store...

Consumption mode settings

Please suggest me for my following scenario.
Iam doing weekly planning for my material which should get consume by sales order, say I maintained PIR for week W1 20, W2 30. whenever sales order comes for qty up to 20 it is consuming W1 PIR but whenever sales order qty is more than 20, second week PIRs are getting consume which I do not want. Is there any way to restrict it.
I did not maintained anything in consumption mode field, and I tried with 2, 1, 1 also. I have checked consumption mode settings in SPRO where I maintained 0 for plant.
How to stop consuming next week PIRs.

Well, using iMovie to rearrange clips in a mini DV video edited by another program is extremely time consuming. I found a workaround. It still takes time, but it's much faster than rearranging the clips using iMovie.
The workaround is as follows. Bring up Finder and go to the directory where your event's clips are stored (typically ~/Movies/iMovie Events/<name of event>). It helps to setup Finder to be in Cover Flow mode, so you can see the beginning of each clip. Then, sort the files in ascending order by the 'Date Modified' field. This makes Finder sort the files in the same order that they were imported from the mini DV tape. Clips with timecodes have the naming convention "clip-<year>-<month>-<day> hour;minute;second.dv". Clips without timecodes use another naming convention. With the files sorted by "Date Modified" in Finder, rename clips as needed so that the date/time in their file names are in ascending order. Note: when you rename a file, you need to restart iMovie. I suggest not running iMovie while renaming files.
I believe the file date/timestamp is only accurate to the second. Occasionally, there may be a couple of clips that have the same date/timestamp. This may cause the ordering to not be correct. The best way to find these is through iMovie. To modify a file's date/time, right click on the clip in the event in iMovie, and then select "Adjust Clip Date and Time...".
So, this workaround is a lot easier and faster than trying to rearrange things from scratch in iMovie. But it's still time consuming. Creating a project out of an already edited video should take less than 5 minutes (not counting import time), but that's not the case.
I submitted an enhancement request to Apple asking if they can add an option to sort an event's clips in the order that they were imported by iMovie. Those who have the same issue as me, I suggest you submit an enhancement request as well.
Anyone have any other suggestions?

I have had some difficulty getting my InFocus projector to consistently work correctly with my MacBook Pro. Is there a key on the MacBook Pro that toggles the options for projector display? There was one on my last MacBook and my previous PowerBook.

No, there is no longer a key to control external display modes (it's F7 on my 1st gen MBP, but the option was removed along with the embedded numeric keypad in the Early 2008 models). There's not a substitute keyboard shortcut (with the exception of installing a macro player like Keyboard Maestro). Your main option is System Preferences > Displays (as stated, ticking the box to show Displays in the menu bar provides a helpful shortcut).
