Fowarding traps to snmpdx with a legacy subagent

This question ties into my last posted question about forwarding traps from a subagent to snmpdx. Can I forward traps from a subagent (developed with AdventNet) to snmpdx, OR, can this only happen when the subagent is developed using the SEA development toolkit?
Thank you in advance,
C. Morgillo

Has this problem been resolved? If not could you please check if
the trap-community line is uncommented in your snmp.conf file. And also check the <agentname>.rsrc file for the subagent that you created. Hope that helps.
Thanks

  • Can I enter BIOS with a USB keyboard on a Thinkstation E20 with USB legacy disabled?

    Hi,
My Thinkstation E20 with XP SP3 won't boot up with an external HDD connected to its USB. Tried various things:
    1. Changing boot sequence so that the USB-HDD is behind the internal HDD
    2. Excluding USB-HDD from the boot order
    3. Using a different USB-HDD
But all this won't work, after the motherboard boot, I get a black screen. The system boots normally with the USB-HDD disconnected.
So as a last option I would like to disable USB legacy support, but I am worried that I won't be able to use the USB keyboard anymore to enter BIOS. As the Thinkstation has no ps/2 port this could be a real issue down the road.
Microsoft info is that on most system you should be able to use a USB keyboard during the motherboard phase even with USB legacy disabled, but I can't find if theThinkstation can do this?
    Does anyone know/tried it?
    Thanks for your help,
    Andre

    welcome to the forum!
you'll always be able to use the keyboard to access the BIOS.   after all, if a system could completely lock out the keyboard then you'd have no way of unlocking it.
what port(s) have you tried connecting the USB HDD?   if you've only tried the front, try a port on the back and see if anything improves.
what brand/model USB HDD are you using?

  • However, we've had issues with other legacy systems and programs for outlook

I have a user who when she logs into her workstation and tries to access her outlook folders she is denied access. If she removes and then adds them back they work. Only one other person on our network had this problem which I initially thought was connectivity
related. I replaced their cat five cable and that seemed to solve their problem. I tried this with this user and it cleared up for about a week but happened again today. Any thoughts or experience with this. Outlook doesnt support archives in a network share
so I cant turn to them. It uses a login batch script to load mapped drives according to department. This all predates me so I did not build them. However, we've had issues with other legacy systems and programs so it is highly possible that this could be an
    issue.

    Will:Hi! Hi!
I use Firefox and it is now No. 1 on my choice of browsers. I agree it doesn't like the "for IE only" coded sites but then IE is now a non issue as it is dead in the water! So Safari is now really bloated and getting slower by the version. Firefox is quick, good to look at with numerous skins, and what is more has become the browser of choice for web developers on both platforms because it sticks to the WWC3 code. Camino is just another flavour of Netscape which seems to be a bloat AOL IE wannabee product. Do yourself a favour and download Firefox. Give it a few spins around the block and I'm sure you will agree. As for the sites it declines to accept because of bad code, then I would suggest a strong letter of protest to the webmaster! For too long IE has been flouting the rules and trying to be the only game in town. Take some affirmative action and let the webmasters know there are other browsers available to users. • If SAP FICO as standalone system with other legacy system.

    Hi All,
If SAP FICO as a standalone sytem with other legacy systems what is the impact on the SD module.
For eg: what we will miss or cant do the transcations with the SD perspective in SAP.

    Hi,
    1. Yes all the dat needs to be copied
    2. You can just assign the users in your orginazation structure to the profiles(Master data specialist, steward etc.) in BRF+
    3. After copying the data to your standalone ECC 6.0 instance, all the process of data governance happens on your standalone system and once it is done you can replicate the data to your SAP 4.7 system. According to my experience, no functionalities will be missing.

Thanks guys....I realize that 300 clip is considered torturous, but its rather depressing that my Q6600 main Vista PC can play it smoothly (or even booting it into...erm...Hackintosh mode), and there is apparently nothing I can do to get it working as well on my PPC Quad.
I guess its as much to blame on the decoder options; even XBMC (apparently the PPC best option for multicore) refuses to use more than 2 cores....never reaches 200% usage in activity monitor, yet still the stuttering/uneven play. It does play better than VLC & PerianQT tho.
Ahh well. Thanks for everyone's help....I may still yet upgrade the vidcard, but as of right now, if this wouldnt really help the 1080p issues, its less of a priority than before. Thanks for the GTX512 suggestion; I might go that route too.
Also, thanks to the guy who took the time to dl and test than 300 video for me, that helped immensely.

  • MSI GTX 750 Ti with Motherboard Legacy BIOS

I was wondering if I could run the MSI GTX 750 Ti with a Legacy BIOS. I recently purchased an EVGA GTX 750 and it is not compatible with my motherboards Legacy BIOS (had no idea before purchasing it). I know MSI's has a Dual BIOS switch on the card, so I was wondering if it would work?
I have a pre-built HP system, the HP P7-1233w. I know the GTX 750 Ti has a TDP of 60w, my power supply is a 300w HP with two +12v rails. The +12va has 12a and the +12vb has 16a.
So if anyone can tell me if the MSI GTX 750 Ti (specifically this card: MSI N750TI-2GD5/OC) will work with my Legacy BIOS Motherboard that would be appreciated.
    Thank you in advance!

    Quote
What does the Dual BIOS switch do on the card? Does it relate to the motherboard BIOS, or no?
No, it offers a legacy and UEFI/GOP vbios for Win8 feature support (fastboot/secureboot). If using a board with a legacy bios it is irrelevant what vbios is selected as both are supporting legacy mode (UEFI/GOP vbios is hybrid). Only for boards with a UEFI bios which is not GOP compliant using the legacy vbios is required.

  • Powershell command to migrate Exchange 2007 mailbox databases with a legacy name, & import them into a new 2007 instance, with a new name.

Hi All. I am currently at the later stage of provisioning a new CCR Exchange 2007 migration (to
virtualise old Exchange 2007 hardware) for 5,000 users & have a quick question.
I have created around 15 newly named storage groups, & have named 1 new DB per group, with the same name (let's say New-DB-1), residing within them.  The problem I have, is the old legacy DB's have different names (let's say Old-DB-1) & I need
to import them into the new storage groups, to match the new names. So far I can import/export between old & new OK if both old & new DB names\folders etc. names marry up perfectly, but are unable to if there not the same. Does anyone have any thoughts
on how best to tackle this, as this is one of the final hurdles stopping the migration? Many Thanks, John

    Hi All
    Many Thanks for the feedback.
The terminology 'migrate' was used based around the fact I will be decommissioning the old 2007 physical environment. This is after moving all DB's over to the new newly created Virtual environment that will host all roles.
The solution I ended up using yesterday, was the following:
    1) Dismounted the relevant named DB (NEWDB) in the new environment.
    2) I then ticked the 'This database can be overwritten by a restore option' box.
    3) Copied over the old named DB (OLDDB) to the same location, & overwrote using the new name (NEWDB).
    4) Re-mounted the (NEWDB).
    5) Ran the following 2 PowerShell commands:
     Get-mailbox –database OLDDB | move-mailbox –targetdatabase NEWDB -configurationonly:$true
     Get-MailboxDatabase NEWDB | ResetSearchIndex.ps1 -force
    6) Checked to make sure the clients were working ok, in the now the new (NEWDB) environment.
Rich: Many thanks for your PS script, which I will test with future DB moves & provide feedback

  • How to Install Windows 7 Home Premium (32bit) with No legacy option in BIOS setting. Just UEFI. in Acer Aspire E1-410 ?

I just broke my older Acer Aspire 4752G.
I just backup entire Partition my Windows 7 Home Premium (32bit) with Acronis True Image Home 2014 BootCD Premium.
intend to restore in this brand new Acer Aspire E1-410.
Acer Aspire E1-410 don't have Legacy Option only UEFI
Acronis True Image Home 2014 BootCD Premium fully support EUFI but alas my Original Windows don't boot
So I intend to use repair BootRec command prompt
These CD Windows won't detect in these Acer
So I call Acer Technical Support They said :
there is NO OTHER WAY to change this UEFI to LEGACY MODE (Build-in Bios mode CANNOT change other than UEFI)
you must install via DVD who FULLY SUPPORT UEFI -> Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 (ONLY in x64bit mode).
I hope you can resolve these for me.
    Thank you.

It is possible to install Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit from DVD to a UEFI based hardware, but must be done using an answer file. It may or may not work if you are using a recovery DVD. Either way, the OS is not supported on that hardware.
Windows 8 32bit is supported on UEFI hardware.
The problem with Win7 32bit on UEFI is a problem in the bootloader. The OS cannot boot because the bootloader cannot find the OS. I had suspected it may be possible to get the OS to boot by using BCDBoot, but since it isn't supported I have not put in any
effort to determine the method of doing it.

  • Design question - when to generalize/specialize? or Issues with a legacy da

We are designing the object model for a new system. But we have a legacy data model which stores both orders and order items in the same table. The relationship (between order and order items) is maintained through a self foreign key to the same table (recursion). We are discussing possible alternatives to this model.
The developers of the old system say that the problem with storing both orders and order items is the complexity of the SQL code (with self-joins) and maintenance over time.
To the legacy model's defense, order and order items do have some common attributes and similar life-cycles (like an order item could be tracked in its separate workflow [as an order would be tracked]).
I agree it would be cleaner to separate the order item into its own table. But I would like to find about general perspective, suggestions on this issue. Which is better? What are the issues to be considered from the perspective of designing the object model? From the performance perspective? From the object/relational mapping perspective?
Note: The database is Oracle and the new solution will be Java/J2EE based.
    Thanks.

    Can order-items contain sub-order items ?
Is it like a tree, in which Order is at the root level and the tree can
    have any depth ?
If order-items can contain sub-order items recursively, you will have to
do the self-join SQL anyway ?
There must be some data that is common to all items of an order, such
    as shipping date.
I also feel that you will benefit from moving the order item to separate table.
Maybe you can create the new tables and run the SQL and see if there is really
    any performance issue.

  • Trapping sync errors with eVB sync code??

    Hi,
Is there any way to 'trap' errors that occur when syncing from within an app that is using the sample eVB sync code?
I'm talking about displaying the same type of error messages msync shows when an error occurs.
    Thanks.

    Hi there,
The best answer I've come up with so far is to look at what gets written in the file \syncerr.txt on the device, then delete it, so that after the next sync you know that all the errors in the file relate to that sync.
I haven't implemented this in practice yet, it's just my best guess and I'm putting off doing it until later in my project.
Does anyone from Oracle have a better answer?
At the moment, I'm trapping the fact that the sync didn't work using this code:
    On Error Resume Next
    Dim mySync As MSync.sync
' Omitted stuff to set up sync parameters etc
    mySync.Sync
    If (Err.Number <> 0) Then
    MsgBox "Sync failed!"
    Else
    MsgBox "Sync completed!"
    End If
But this doesn't tell me why, hence the theory of looking in \syncerr.txt

  • Does PCI-6534 work on Win7 32bit with DAC (Legacy) 7.5 and if so, NI-VISA or NI-PXI

    I have a PCI-6534 DAC installed in a Windows 7 32bit machine. I've installed:
    NI-DAQ (Legacy) 7.5.0
    NI-VISA 5.4.1
    NI-488 3.1.2
PCI-6534 shows up in Measurement & Automation Explorer. However, the 6534 is not showing up under VISA and I can't communicate through VISA. The only VISA devices that show up from Python are the serial ports. I'm told that this SHOULD work by other engineers. It that is true, what am I doing wrong? What can I check next?
I'm beginning to think VISA is not supported on the PCI-6534. If not, how do I communicate with this card from Python 2.7.6? Is there a DLL or through NI-PXI?

Why can't you use python with the supported api - DAQmx? Who told you to use VISA?

  • PO Creation, with same Legacy Item No : LSMW-IDOC

    Dear all,
I am creatin PO's using LSMW IDOC Method - BUS2012.
I could create PO's . But issue is , but issue is PO's are created with Item No in Sequence( 10,20 etc).
We need to create PO with same Item No as in Input File.
Eg: If Item No are 40 , 50 in input file. PO is created with Item 10 and 20.
    I need to create them with 40 & 50.
Is there any option to achieve this.
    Thanks
    Praveen

    Hi,
If you are using the BAPI method in the LSMW,
Set the parameter ITEM_INTVL = 'X' which is in the parameter POHEADERX.
This should allow external PO line item numbering.
    Please check.
    Thanks

  • How do u send or foward  muti media messages with sound and pictures

How do you send or forward a multi media message with both sound and pictures

GarageBand does not have a "Normalize" feature (that's what you're friends are talking about).
iTunes has "Sound Check" which performs that function, however I've never used it and have always been under the impression that it just affected playback within iTunes. Perhaps this is not the case, you'd have to experiment to see if it affected the audio transfered to CD.
Many Audio Editors have a Normalize function, so you might take a look at one of them:
