Foxpro 9.0 error "Not a Database"

I am getting the error message "Not a Database" when I try to use it within a program, even though the databases can be browsed with no problem. This is happening regardless of the Database files I have tried. My FoxPro has all
the available updates. Any Help would appreciated.

Is it a case of a legacy program?
A legacy EXE won't work with a VFP9 DBF and it will refer to a DBF (table) as a database, while that term is to be avoided today to talk about a table.
Anyway, that's just a guess, you don't say whether the program you talk about is a legacy foxpro application or you in fact talk of a VFP9 prg file. If that would be the case, that would mean USE doesn't work, but you can open the same files from datasession
window?
You let us guess a lot, you have to be more specific to get better suggestions for solving the issue.

Try starting Aperture with the command and option keys held down. You'll get 3 options.

I attached the UltraMax Plus with a USB cable. The UltraMax powers the cable so power is not an issue. I can open other files. Also, there is 500GB of files on the drive so I cannot re-format it. Although, I noted I could import the entire Aperture Library. However, I do not want to create a duplicate on my machine because that would be defeating the purpose of the external drive.

Error 26 when executing sql. File opened that is not a database file. My Easy System Cleaner will not work on Foxfire. What to do?

I have the Easy System Cleaner. It worked through Internet Explorer. But when it comes to Mozilla Foxfire. It stops.
The message is:

Standard Data Collection Failing with Error ORA-04054: database link does not exist.

Hi Gurus,
When I am running Standard Data Collection in ASCP(APS) instance R12.1.3, its failing with error : ORA-04054: database link does not exist.
There is no such Database link exits which is showing in above error.
Also the database link name in the above error is not profile values in the database.
I think, concurrent might be fetching this database link name from some tables related to plan.
I am not having much knowledge about how this ASCP/APS works.
Need your help to resolve this issue.

I took a full back using below command

NOREDO would be used when you have a Consistent Backup (i.e. backup taken when the database is MOUNTed but not OPEN) and so, no archivelogs need to be applied. (This would also be the case for a NOARCHIVELOG database).

I did check the Data Guard Log files as you suggested. I did not find anything when I checked them before but this time I found the following:

I tried again to see the database in Data Guard Broker:
DGMGRL> show database 10gSB
Object "10gsb" was not found
however, I then was able to add the database in Data Guard Broker:
DGMGRL> add database 10gSB
as connect identifier is 10gSB
maintained as physical;Database "10gsb" added <== this is progress!!!
However the configuration shows the following:
DGMGRL> show database 10gSB

Role: PHYSICAL STANDBY
Enabled: NO

So I tried to enable the database:
DGMGRL> enable database 10gSB

and I tried to reinstate the database:

Error: ORA-16653: failed to reinstate database
Failed.
Reinstatement of database "10gsb" failed
So I checked the configuration and now see two entries for the standby database but with case differences:
DGMGRL> show configuration

Fast-Start Failover: DISABLED

10gSB - Physical standby database
10gsb - Physical standby database (disabled)

when i start the computer the concurrent manager service not started , when i try to start it i have this problem:
"could not start the oracle concmgrvis_orabac service on local computer error:1065 the database specified does not exist."
i restarted computer and tried to stop and start all services more times but no change.

Hi All,
When I am trying the start the Concurrent Manager [[From Services.msc]] I am getting this error.
Error 1065 The database specified does not exist
I am also not able to connect through SQL* Plus.

Groupwise Error [e811] Object not in database.

A user is getting the following message when trying to open messages in a Client 7.0.3 folder: Groupwise Error [e811] Object not in database.
Gwcheck shows no errors. The agent logs show no errors. This error just pops up in the client. Goes into endless loop of errors and client has to be shut down using crt-alt-del under task manager. It is in a shared folder and this user is the owner. Other users can open messages.

Just read the TID. I'm probably dense, but not sure how it applies. All that is in the shared folder is a bunch of e-mail messages with pdf files attached. They are actually fax pdf files attached to e-mail from a fax machine. For years the folder had been shared this way, nada error message to be found until recently. Client is 7.0.3.

Workspace Error 8001: The Database Connection could not be found

We had to reboot all our windows servers recently and since then all the database connections in the database base manager in workspace are gone.
I can see all the existing reports but cannot use any of them as I dont have any connections.
Also I cannot create any new connections
I get the error 8001: The Database Connection could not be found: 13cbd63_12b5e2a8b73_-7f8f when I try to create a new connection.
Not sure what the problem is.
Any suggestions?

Hi Pat,
It loks like your Biplus relational DB is corrupted, try with those steps:
1. De-register BI+ from Shared Services (Config Utility->Hyperion Reporting and Analysis > Deregister from Shared Services)
2. Configure against the backup database (Drop and recreate tables option).
3. Re-register BI+ with Shared Services.
4. Re-deploy BI+.
5. Test Workspace and add new connections.

Could not update database error while installation

Hi i am in the middle of 4.7 installation (IDES). At the step 29 database update statistics, system stops giving error
ERROR 2008-04-30 09:10:35
CJS-00288 Could not update database statistics.
<br>DIAGNOSIS: Command brconnect -u / -c -f crsyn -o SAPP47 returned
3.<br>SOLUTION: See brconnect.log for details.
Can anybody tell what could be the problem.
