FP-AI-110 Blinking Ready Led

Hey all,
I have purchased a second hand FP-AI-110.  I am trying to test the unit out by swapping it in place of another (active and working) FP-AI-110, but the new (to me) unit only blinks the READY Led when plugged in.  This is on an FP-1600 'network'.
Any thoughts?  Is there any special configuration that must be done to the module before use?  If so, how?
Thanks in advance,
Ian

Hi IonH,
The modules are hot swappable and since you are swapping in the exact same model you shouldn't have to redo the configuration file. The blinking Ready LED indicates that there is an error condition so it could be that you have a bad module. To make sure it isn't a problem with the controller you can swap back in the original FP-AI-110 to ensure that it is still working, and if possible try the non working one on a different controller.

  • What causes the FP-AI-110 module READY LED to flash upon power up?

The ready light flashes continuously on the FP-AI-110 module upon power up. The power light also seems to have a very short flash as well. The module part number is 184105C-01. The module has worked fine in the application for about two years. It had not been removed from the rail until this problem.

It is most likely that a component in the FP-AI-110 has failed (or been damaged) and the module is not successfully passing the self diagnostic program. To be absolutely certain that the module has failed, try inserting the FP-AI-110 into a different terminal base and make sure the flashing Power/Ready LED's still occur in other terminal bases. You will have to contact National Instruments to arrange an RMA of the module (for repair).

    Hi,
My FP-TC-120's ready LED doesn't light up suddenly, and before that the situation of erratic reading happened sometimes, does anybody know the possible reason? what am I supposed to do now? my fieldpoint controller is FP-2000, and the other three modules are AI-110, AO-200 and RLY-422.
I expect any reply for this problem.
    thank you!

    Hi Yi,
I searched the community and found a good thread on this, please take a look at it.

  • What is the default state of the "Ready" LED on the DAQPad-6016?

I am having trouble pinpointing why my .vi will not show me the status of an input.  The "Ready" LED on my DAQPad-6016 continues to flash and I receive the 200324 error.  This occured when I was resetting the power switch every few seconds when trying to troubleshoot.  In my MAX, the unit is shown with the red "X".  Resetting the power does not clear it.

    Zack,
Thank you for contacting National Instruments. Which one of the following states are you seeing? The following is from the E Series Help:
The DAQPad-6015/6016 devices have two LEDs labeled ACTIVE and READY. The ACTIVE LED indicates activity over the bus. The READY LED indicates whether or not the device is configured. The DAQPAD-6015 BNC and mass termination devices have a READY LED only. The following table shows the behavior of the LEDs.

    Blinking simultaneously
Both LEDs blinking in the same pattern simultaneously indicates an error state. You must power off and power on your device.
    Blinking alternately
If both LEDs blink in the same pattern alternately, contact National Instruments.
I recommend downloading and installing the NI-DAQmx drivers for that device to make sure you are using the latest drivers. Also, try the device on a different computer (if possible). Let us know your results after this.

  • Solution for blinking yellow LED despite the fact it works

I've seen a bunch of questions/comments about frustrations about having blinking yellow LEDs even when everything seems to work.
    Here's how to fix this:
    1) Launch AirPort Utility
    2) Select your base station in the list at the left
    3) Select "Manual Setup" from the "Base Station" menu.
    4) When you get the summary, there will be a little Yellow LED in summary (not talking about the list on the left). Click on it!
    5) You will now see a list of the problems causing the base station consternation and you grief because little blinky LEDs drive you folks nuts. Some of the problems listed here should be addressed and some of them are because you deliberately chose to configure your base station this way.
    6) Fix any issues listed that sound ominous.
    7) For any remaining issues, check the "Do not show this warning again" if you don't want the base station to worry about the issues you don't care about. (For example if you insist on using "public" for your base station password and having an open network, bless you...I love free wireless)
If you see warnings about IP Addresses, bad disks, missing cables, etc. you probably should fix it.

Strangely, when I look at the Utility, all hardware has a Green dot.
But the Extreme is still blinking yellow.
The only problem I am having currently is the connection to the attached HD is dropping occasionally, requiring a reboot.

  • Toshiba Lax blinking yellow LED

After witnessing a short 110V power failure while my 42HL67US T/V was in operation, power was restored and the yellow LED is blinking on a three blink/pause pattern. I have tried the unplug/replug attempt and the reset T/V by pressing and hold the control panel for the 5 second time period+ and had no response, the yellow LED continues to blink.
The T/V is installed in my RV, very seldom used, in the like new condition.  Are there any other checks I can do before I pull the T/V and contact a repair tech or buy another T/V?
I see where other folks had similar problems and wonder what their fix was?  I'm not a highly qualified electronic type so any input would be deeply appreciated.
         Thank You
              Tony

That blinking yellow LED simply indicates that the TV is trying to boot. Unfortunately, I don't know what's wrong with it, and there's no easy way to check. It may require servicing.

  • Sun Fire X2100  Blinking Status LED...

We have 3 new Sun Fire X2100 servers at my current job. Just recently the status LED (orange) started blinking. The logs show fine and running a prtdiag shows everything up and running fine. Is there a way to turn off the blinking LED? I have gone over every piece of information I can find and have found nothing about how to turn this off once it has started blinking.

This may be one of two issues:
    - There's a know ILOM/nge driver bug in eariler releases of S10 x86 (pre 6/06).
    - There's a know issue with an older firmware rev of the BIOS/LOM where the net management port hangs/drops out and triggers the blinking fault LED. Do you know what BIOS revision you are at?
Most times a mobo swap is NOT the fix. You may be making the problem worse because we have mobos in the supply chain with older firmware revisions.
On the X2100's I usually have my customers try:
    - Moving the RAM in different slots
    - Updating the BIOS/LOM firmware
    - Running the PC-Check diags
... before I send a field tech out to do major surgery.

If they are the instructions I think you might have seen, they are for the Apple TV 2.
Unfortunately I think your Apple TV may have failed.
You might try removing ALL the cables for a while and trying again, but I think you may be out of luck.

  • Wont turn on /blinking red led

Hi all, have my xperia z3 for about two weeks, not rooted, not unlocked, without any modifications. Yesterday before sleep it was with more than a half of akku, today as im woke up and got it in my hands it was off, im plugged charging cable, was thinking maybe the battery was drained, but nothing happens still, its just blinking red (led).
Was trying to hold power + volume up, nothing.
Reset key near sim dont works for me either - i'm just notice 3x vibrations and thats it, its just repeat vibrate 3x times again and again but nothing happens, no boot.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You may need to perform a software repair using PC companion. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.
Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).
Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).

  • PORTEGE T3600CT: Blinking power LED

Hi everyone (forgive me by my english).
I have a trouble whit my PORTEGE T3600CT (yes, a little bit oldie... but I love her) when its connected to the AC power supply.
It looks like an overheat of the microprocessor or something else: after a few minutes (5, 15, 30... its never the same) the computer shoots down, the power led turns orange and blinks 4 times in aprox. 5 seconds and then remains off for 3 seconds. That is the cycle: 4 blinks, 3 seconds off, 4 blinks...
I dont know what it means, cause I dont have the manual. If someone knows, please help me.
    Thank you all.

    Hi Maxi
The service partner you can find on http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com under Support & Downloads.
About blinking code I can only tell you that as far as I know this kind of information is not published and you will not find any official site about it. Only thing you can do is to search some information on the net.

  • Frequency of Blinking for LED in LV

    Dear All,
We are using the blinking property of the LED and the text in our project, now whenever this propery gets the true, it always blinks on one frequency, but we want the different frequencies to blink, is there any option to do so? the blink always have the color yellow, is there any other options to change the color property of that?
    Thanks,
    Nishant

Paul, you should remember that this should not be only for booleans, as other controls can also be blinked.
Also, you should note that changing the value is only legitimate when the LED is used only for display. If it's a real variable, you need to work on its Colors[] property and write a polymorphic VI which will support this for other controls (using the BGColor property). Personally, I think it would be coolest if we wrote a VI that would dynamically call a VIT which would control this seperately. This way, the VIs could be integrated into the code just like regular property node. The problem with that is that there will be a need for some sort of repository for holding the references to which controls we already opened the link to. Also, we would need to check on changing values wired into the "property VI" (like Blinking, Speed and Color). That sounds like a nice project. Maybe when I have some time.
Obviously, the best solution is having the built in property node support this properly.

  • D400 - system status LED blinking, network LED blinking

Hi - Just recently started experiencing this problem with my D400.
The system status LED is blinking, which according to the user guide means that WHS is either booting or shutting down.  The Network LED shows activity.
Problem is that I can't get on the D400 via remote desktop.
Frustrating.  Talked with support already, said only option is to send in to depot or find a local resource to troubleshoot or fix.  Problem is that we have our music/photos on this thing.
Support also said that if we factory reset data on all drives will be erased.
Looking for help wherever I can get it.  Thanks!
    Scott

Hi scottdcm, and welcome to the Lenovo User Community!
To get your music/photos off the system before returning it for service, connect the hard drive(s) to another computer with a SATA connection. An external USB/SATA connector or drive enclosure will also do the job.
You can also remove any drives you have added before shipping it for service.
    Hope this helps!

  • Blinking LAN LED

I have a WRT54G that works w/ WI-fi, but the LAN side is locked up. Port #2 was in use for my desktop, and that LED blinks like Mr. Magoo in a sandstorm whenever power is on. Power LED is solid, and other 3 LAN ports light solid when connected, but #2 justs blinks constantly, even if no cables connected to router.
    Hardware, firmware, or router virus?
    Thanks,

Reset the router for few minutes ... by holding the reset ... for 4-5 minutes .... while holding the reset unplug & replug the power cable .... then release the reset ... check the Light status once again ...  power light should not supposed to BLINK ....
Connect computers to LAN port 1,2,3,4 & then check the Light status ....

  • WRT54GS wireless drop and Blinking Power-LED (V6, 1.52.5)

Hi all, Trawling several pages with people mentioning dropping wireless connectivity, I didn't notice a symptom I've noticed on mine: since the troubles started I've got the router located very close by (as in less than 3 feet/ 1 meter). One thing I happened to notice that every once in a while the Cicso loge and Power LED start blinking: connectivity is completely gone, also wired. After some time (30 sec?) the lights come on again and connectivity is restored. I haven't noticed any correlation (yet) to wireless connectivity, but it's quite irritating. Anybody any ideas?

well sounds like you have a defective device.....
tried reflashing firmware, if still not working, try calling Linksys and get an RMA #
