FP2015 status led stay lit

While turning on the system the status led stay on. Doing this few time, now the Status led doesn’t stay on but it seems that the controller doesn’t make the booting procedure (the Leds doesn’t turn on and off at the begging)

This issue can generally be solved by formatting the internal Compact FLASH memory on the controller. There is a < a href="http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/6D0F9F74FD2DAD0186256EE5007198D4?OpenDocument">Knowledge Base that describes in detail how to format the controller. Sometimes you will first have to switch both the Safe Mode (switch 7) and Reset IP (switch 8) dip switches and cycle the power to first get the controller into a safe state.
The Compact FLASH corruption is generally due to losing power while writing to a sector on disk. This can cause that sector as well as other adjacent sectors to become corrupt.

  • CFP status led - stays lit solid red!

    Hi,
I have a problem with a cFP-2120 RT controller where the red LED status light stays lit.  On the instruction manual it says that the unit was not powered up correctly and to contact NI.  The controller used to work fine until we had a short on the mains side of the power supply The AI, AO and thermocouple modules did not power up but the DI and DO modules seemed to be getting power.  Is there anything we can do or just send it back for repairs.  When I replaced the controller with another one, the system worked fine and the status LED turned off after a few seconds.

Sounds like you've proven that the controller is bad.  Next step is an RMA from NI.  Make sure NI tells you what failed in the controller and see if they will comment on what might have caused it.   The idea being to see if you can do anything to prevent this failure in the future.

Based on the manual for this device, the status light staying lit refers to “the FieldPoint-20XX did not power on correctly.”  I would suggest removing all software from this controller and reinstall it.

There is a IPS 4260 that reports the status LED to red. When reading the hardware installation guide, i came to know that this indicates a POST failure. I forced a POST again of the IPS by rebooting the IPS but i could not capture any significant error.
However, i am enclosing the captures of the boot process (Filename: IPS) and the sh tech-support (Filename: IPS Tech support).
Can you please help me on this?

  • AEBS: Status LED stays green even if modem unplugged?

I recently updated to 7.6.3. and since than have had loads of problems.  I'm not sure if it's just coincidence or if they are 7.6.3. related.  Problems included difficulty connecting to internet, slow wifi speeds and being unable to see the AEBS under Airport Utility on a Macbook (Mountain Lion 10.8.2) unless the device and Mac were rebooted.  It would often then dissapear again.  I've resolved most of those now by going back to 7.6.1.  There is one more issue that I've noticed though that didn't seem to happen before.
Essentially, amidst all the testing and rebooting I was doing I noticed that when the modem (handling the PPPoE with the Airport in bridge mode - forced to this because my ISP does not play nice with Apple's PPPoE authentication) was unplugged or powered down, the green status light on the airport stayed on?  I'm sure it never did this before, indeed I've seen the amber light on when there have been ISP outages.  One thing I haven't tried yet is leaving the modem off for an hour or so to see if that prompts a change to amber.
As yet I haven't done another full factory reset (albeit one was done to get it all working again).as I've wasted two days with the 7.6.3 update and needless to say I need a break from the thing!!!  Just strikes me as odd that despite the internet light on Airport Utility on all the devices shows amber when the ethernet cable is unplugged from the modem yet the green light on the BS stays on AND, under Aiport Utility 5.6 it shows a green light against the airport saying status is 'Normal'?
Surely this should not be happening?  No internet, amber light on AEBS I would have thought?

Thanks.  I'll have a look maybe over the weekend. I know resets are not that complex (albeit I did have loads of problems getting the AEBS to even show again when I did a reset under 7.6.3 when the problems started) but I spent so long sorting the mess out I need to get on and do things ON the internet for a couple of days, rather than trying to get it working LOL!!
I notice you say AU 5.6.1, the version I have other than 6 is 5.6.  That wouldn't be causing any issues would it.  One thing I did try to do when it was all completely screwed is use 5.6 to configure manually.  I now seem to have various .XML profiles under
    User/Library/Application Support/Apple/Airport/Configuration
My undesrtanding is that AU doesn't work this was and that these folders/files shouldn't be there?  Maybe I'm wrong?  Are they just profiles under my user name that won't be affecting anything.  Or could they be interfering with AEBS operations and / or warnings in any way.  Is the AEBS confused?  I was tempted to delete the entire airport folder altogether or even just the config settings then do a factory restore of the AEBS under 5.6. Trouble is I'm not sure which AU Airport folder above belongs to (e.g. will it screw things up further if I delete any or all of it).  Bit of a mess really
Yes the settings you mention are correct, the IP addess even picks up at 101, the resrved address on the router.

I recently transferred my internet service to another state.I have not yet moved my imac, just my pc laptop. I cannot get my airport extreme wireless router to work. The green light stays lit when everything is connected but I can't connect to the internet. Any suggestions?

I would recommend that you do the following as a minimum:
Power-down the modem, AirPort base station, and computer(s).
Power-up the modem; wait at least 10-15 minutes to allow it adequate time to initialize.
Power-up the AirPort base station; wait at least 5-10 minutes. Note: The AirPort's status light may continue to flash amber after it has intialized. That is because, there may be some additional configuration items necessary, like setting up wireless security, before the overall setup is completed to get a green status.
    Power-up your computer(s).
If the above steps do not solve the problem, start over with step 1 above, but then perform the next steps between steps 1 & 2. above.
Disconnect the AirPort base station from the Internet broadband modem.
While all of the devices are powered-down, perform a "factory default" reset on the base station. This will get it back to its "out-of-the-box" configuration and make setting it up much easier, especially if you use the "Assist me" process within the AirPort Utility. (ref: Resetting an AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule)
After the base station resets, go ahead and power it back down.
Reconnect the AirPort base station to the Internet broadband modem. For the Extreme and Time Capsule, be sure to connect the cable to the base station's WAN (circle-of-dots) port.
Continue with step 2 in the first set of steps.
In this basic configuration, the AirPort base station will broadcast an unsecured wireless network with a Network Name (SSID) of Apple Network NNNNNN. Network clients, connected to the base station either by wire or wireless, should now be able to access the Internet through the ISP's modem. Once Internet connectivity has been verified, you can use the AirPort Utility to configure the base station for wireless security and any other desired options. Please post back your results.

  • Lenovo 3000 N500 23G Battery Status LED problem.

I am having problems with the Battery Status LED on my new laptop.  The LED turns blue at around 22-30% charge and the Hardware manual indicates it should be 95%, also the LED remains lit when fully charged on battery power when it should be off. The biggest problem is that I have no idea on when the battery is charged and I should not need to boot into windows to check this.
I have already returned an identical model to the retailer for the same reason, they did confirm that the unit was faulty and send me another which seems to have the same suspected fault.
Has any one else have the same problem as me, I am not too sure if I should return the 2nd unit for a refund and look elsewhere?
I did contact Lenovo support before and was advised to get it repaired under warranty, I did not need to do this as the unit is less than 30 days old and I wouldbe entitled to a refund or replacement.
Below is an excerpt from the manual I downloaded from this website.
    Thanks, Mark.
Blue: The battery is charged to 95% or more of its capacity.
Blinking blue: The battery is being trickle-charged
Orange: The battery is being normally charged
Off: The computer is operating on battery power, and the battery has enough power
Blinking orange: The computer is operating on battery power, and the battery is charged to no more than 8% of capacity.)

The battery is going to fail on this unit; actually it is a defect in the circuit built into the battery the detects charge level.  It has been happening quite frequently with IBM/Lenovo batteries these days.  If you have warranty left, get the unit in for repair or you will be out of luck like the rest of us who bought these units with failure prone batteries and a poor excuse for product quality.  If you care to help your fellow Lenovo owners, call, email, write, picket, jump up and down, do what ever you have to do to voice your concern and complaint to as high a person as you can at IBM and Lenovo.  We have to keep the heat on at a corporate level at both IBM and Lenovo, to remind them that there is a price to pay for the fact that they do not care about their customers.

  • How to read the power and status LEDs on cFP2020

Can the cFP2020 Power and Status LEDs be monitored by a host program? Also, can the Power and Ready LEDs be monitored from the other cFP Modules?

You can not directly read the Network Module Power or Status LED from a host program. Likewise, you can not directly read the Power and Ready LED of an IO module.
However, even though you can not directly ready the LED status, there are ways of finding out most of the information that the LEDs convey.
For the Network Module Power LED, you can infer the status of the Power LED by looking at the channel status for any/all items that are on the bank. If the items have errors indicating that a communication timeout has occured or an addressed item does not exist, then it is probable that the unit is offline (either because of no power or a fault). The Status LED indicates the current operating status of the Network module and in most cases, if it is flashing
, then a fault has occured that shutdown the processor. In most cases, you will not be able to determine that the Status LED is flashing, as the Status LED indicates a fault condition which will put the unit into a non-standard operating mode (e.g. firmware corruption, unassigned IP Address, or an OS fault).
For the IO modules, each channel on a module can report status, and based upon the status you can infer the state of the LEDs. If the module does not have the Power LED lit, the most likely status will be "Addressed item does not exist". If the module has the Power LED but no Ready LED, then the status will indicate that the "item is unconfigured". If the module has both a Power and Ready LED, than the channel should report either a good status, or a channel specific error (if applicable).

  • Cisco ASA 5520 Crashing, Odd LED's Lit

I'm having issues with an ASA 5520. We have it setup with another in Active/Standby failover.
The ASA's act normally in their respective states, then after about 2 hours the primary ASA
looks as though it's having hardware issues. The power LED is unlit, the Active and Status LED's
are lit with what looks like green and amber, and the VPN LED is lit with green. All of the

  • Cisco 1131AG LWAP status led yellow and other leds blinking green

I have a problem with three AIR-LAP1131AG-E-K9  that joined the controller and the status led turns to yellow after joining the controller while other LEDs are blinking green.
The APs has no coverage at all although the WCS shows that there is coverage and the 4400WLC shows that the AP interfaces are UP. (The ethernet interface and tha 802.11b,g radio interface is up).
    The SSID broadcast is enabled.
On the switch the interface is up and there is traffic going in and out of the LAP.
I tired power reset and factory reset for the APs but the problem remains the same.
Any ideas for what might be the problem ?!!
    Regards

Yes the clients are not able to see the SSID broadcasted by the AP.
But these APs were functioning normally before without any changes to the WLC config.
I had the same problem with other APs but they went back to normal state after a hardware reset to the APs.
