FPE 2010 connection filtering AND Exchange 2007's "IP Block List Providers"

I'm getting a ton of SPAM the last several weeks.
FPE 2010 connection filtering seems to be working, but I wonder if I can enable Exchange 2007's "IP Block List Providers" as well

  • Unity Connection 8.5 and Exchange 2007 UM

    Hi everyone--has anyone configured Unity Connection 8.5 with Exchange 2007 for Unified Messaging yet?  I'm having some odd issues...now every message gets a delayed delivery receipt (regular email messages).  When i followed the guide from Cisco, it didn't work...reported a 503 error when i ran the test from a user's account...
    Can anyone provide guidance?  I've only done it under Exchange 2010 (with little to no issues...).
    SJ

    I did. Initially it was only Exchange 2010, however in SU2, Exchange 2007/2003 support was activated. It is currently working flawlessly. Just make sure to apply SU2 or upgrade to 8.6 (a little extreme, but to each, their own…). SU2 works well though.

  • Mail.app and Exchange 2007 with Rollup 3 ... anyone get it to work?

    Spent way too much time on this...
    After finding our our Exchange 2007 server didn't have the legacy components installed to ensure WebDav would work, we can now connect to our Exchange 2007 mail server from Microsoft Entourage for all Windows Active Directory accounts.
    For Apple Mail however, this is not the case. Opening mail, the account information does default in accurately (email, userID, exchange 2007 server) when I enter a users password, it says that it is unable to connect to mail server user/password failed.
    If I manually create the account, the same thing occurs, a pop-up appears prompting for a password, which I enter and it comes back saying it isn't valid.
    The password is valid because on the same Mac I open up Entourage and log in.
    Keychain is NOT used and none of the passwords are held because of the headaches this causes.
    Looking for ideas, thinking this is more of an Apple Mail.app bug not working with Exchange than a Microsoft issue.

    Just want to add to this...it was resolved the Advanced tab is very important on mail.app.
    The Advance tab authentication must match what the Exchange server/Active Directory is using.
    For us NTLM is what we need to use.
    Also we found that one exchange server had a bad installation while another had no problem connecting via mail.app.
    Thus the installation is going to be looked at.

  • SBS 2008 and Exchange 2007 intermittent Email Issues

    Hello
    I am having an issue with my SBS 2008 Server and Exchange 2007.  After setup, the mail seems to work great for about a week, then the mail just quits working.  To get it working again, all I have to do is reboot the server and mail starts working
    again.  When looking in the event logs, all I come across is transport.exe errors.  Any ideas on why it works for 5-10 days, then just quits working?  Any help or insight would be much appreciated.

    Hello,
    We are running Exchange 2007 on our server and our user clients use Outlook 2010. One of my users is having the following issue. Whenever he opens Outlook 2010, it would crash and show this message: "Microsoft Outlook has stopped working. A problem

    Hi,
    Sorry for my delay. Have the issue been resolved?
    If there are too many items in the problematic user's mailbox, please delete some and check whether the Outlook can be opened. Please uncheck Use Exchange Cached mode to use Online mode and confirm if the user can access the mailbox for Outlook.
    Also try to connect to this user's maibox from your working machine with Outlook. Then check whether it works.

  • 10.5.7 breaks RDC and Exchange 2007 connectivity?

    I just installed 10.5.7 and now I find I cannot receive mail from our Exchange 2007 server (Entourage 2008) or connect to our file server (SBS 2008 standard).
    I only found one mention of this anywhere else (http://www.macfixit.com/article.php?story=20090515093340707) but it is only stating that the problem exists, not offering a solution.
    Anyone else experiencing this? I can use OWA for mail if I have to, but I admin our office and RDC is invaluable to me. I will probably have to wipe/re-install our macs if a fix is not available for this.

    I had a lot of problems with this and researched it as best I could. My only solution was to format clean, upgrade to 10.5.7, manually input realms, dns servers and domain controllers in System>Core Services>Kerberos, then perform the bind in the Directory Utility. After that all domain connections work, and admin level accounts can log in directly to the Mac. Our group policy for the standard user seems to prohibit the standard user from using a Kerberos login, and I have not figured out what setting is preventing it yet. When I say all connections work I mean Entourage is able to pull email from Exchange 2007 via kerberos login or OWA and RDC reaches all Windows servers I maintain. If you check macenterprise.org you will see many people having probles with AD binding in 10.5.7 and most of them have simply reverted to a previous version. After fighting with this machine for a good long time I think I'm going to revert to 10.5.6 because of poor video performance or just wait til the real headache, 10.6 in September

  • Lync 2010 and Exchange 2007/2013 Co-existence

    Hi,
    I do not work with Exchange, and am only familiar with how Lync 2010 actually interacts with the product.  If today we are working with Exchange 2007, and in the future there are plans to migrate to Exchange 2013, I am assuming there will be some sort
    of co-existence required for a period of time.
    What I am wondering is if anyone has encountered (or is aware of) any issues that may arise as a result of having Lync 2010 deployed in an environment with both of the above versions of Exchange in parallel.
    Would the differences essentially come down to where the user's mailbox was homed?  In other words, would a Lync 2010 user receive the integration features that come with the particular version of Exchange they are homed on?  Or would having both
    versions of Exchange in one environment potentially impact Lync 2010 in some way?
    Thanks so much in advance for any help you can provide, as I have had trouble finding answers so far.

    sorry to reopen the thread...
    Hi all,
    Does anyone know of any update regarding the following link ??

  • Connect Outlook to Exchange 2007 in separate domain

    As part of a merger, we've been asked to discontinue our Exchange 2010 email environment.  We would need to connect up our current email users (over a point to point connection with firewall in between) to the other organizations Exchange 2007 server
    with completely new email accounts/addresses, via Outlook client.  I'm wondering if this is even possible.  Can our Outlook client talk to an Exchange 2007 server if Outlook exists in a native Exchange 2010 environment?

    Yes you certainly should be able to do that. So long as you're able to connect to the remote Exchange server then you should simply be prompted for login details to access it, since obviously your local login details won't work, at which point you simply
    enter the login details provided for the remote exchange server. Obviously you also need to add the remote domain before the username, eg <domain>\<username> to force it to authenticate with that domain login rather than it assuming you're logging
    in using a login from your existing domain.
    We've got several clients who have their mailboxes hosted on our exchange servers, most of which are running in domain environments, and in fact a few of which have old Exchange servers still running on their networks when we first set them up.

  • Exchange Active Sync - Is there away to have the Reply and Forward symbols synchronise btween iOS devices and Exchange 2007?

    Our company is running ActiveSync through Exchange 2007 and all our iOS devices connect to Exchange via MDM profiles.
    When a reply/forward is made on the device, the reply/forward symbol is not shown in Outlook and vice versa.
    Is this a setting on Exchange somewhere or inherent with iOS and ActiveSync?

    Hello Skipaldinho13,
    I believe it is because the EAS version you are on is most likely below EAS 14.0.  EAS 14.0 was released with Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, which supports specifically what you are looking for.  Here's a good reference on all the EAS versions and change logs associated with the respective releases:

    I hope this helps.

  • Problem connecting to MS Exchange 2007 on SBS 2008

    I am having problems connecting to Exchange via cfexchangeconnection. Our ColdFusion environment is CF9 Enterprise on Win 2008, and the Exchange host is Win SBS 2008 (which uses IIS7).
    After having worked through the documentation and following all procedures outlined at
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/9.0/Developing/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811cbec14f31 -7fed.html
    plus googling intensively, we have the following method to test the connection
    <cfexchangeconnection action="open"
             connection="thisExchangeConnection"
             server="portal.mydomain.com"
             protocol="https"
             formBasedAuthentication="true"
             formBasedAuthenticationURL="https://portal.mydomain.com/owa/auth/owaauth.dll"
             mailboxname="myMailBox"
             username="myUsername"
             password="myPassword" />
    <cfdump var="#thisExchangeConnection#">
    <cfexchangeconnection action="close"
             connection="thisExchangeConnection" />
    The IIS7 implementation in SBS 2008 is quite a lot different to Win 2008, so there are some question marks around some steps in the above documentation. However, we have made sure that:-
    1) you can use the credentials above to login via a web browser
    2) WebDav is on in IIS
    3) there is no IWA and forms based authentication is on
    4) certificates are installed correctly on both the CF and Exchange servers
    5) the myUsernameaccount has correct permissions in iis/owa/exchange
    Despite this, the net result is always
    Access to the Exchange server denied.
    Ensure that the user name and password are correct.
    From research it seems that a lot of people have issues where the underlying problem is actually an Exchange 440 timeout error where the password in the IUSR_<servername> and IWAM_<servername> (IIS/Active Directory) is out of sync.
    I was pinning my hopes on the above being the problem but now I find that in SBS 2008 there is no IWAM_<servername> server account.
    All this leads me to ask is SBS 2008 actually compatible with the cfexchange tags in CF9? There is nothing in the documentation that I can find that syays that it isn't, but given the amount of time we've spent on what should be straightforward I am wondering if we are on a hiding to nothing. Anyone from Adobe care to comment?
    If anyone has managed to get this to work specifically with SBS 2008, or has any advice I'd be grateful to here from you.

    Hi,
    As said by Sneff , I would also recommend to enable Logging to get more detailed information. Also follow
    Configuration of POP/IMAP on SBS 2008 Refer to :

    As per the error code, you need to follow
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/813514/EN-US
    I would also disable AV on both Client machine and TEST , including the Filters of AV.

  • Crossover, Outlook and Exchange 2007

    Hi
    So our company has just upgraded our server to Exchange 2007(it was 2003) and I'm having real problems getting my Arch setup to play nice.
    I was using Evolution to connect to it and this did everything that I wanted it too.
    The evolution-exchange plugin, however, only seems to work with Exchange 2003. I tried the evolution openchange option, but this doesn't allow me to access public folders(essential), send completely grabled emails, and crashes all the time.
    So I have now decided that running Outlook in wine is the best option. After trying for a while I discovered that outlook doesn't run at all in normal Wine, so I'm trying out Crossover(v9).
    Everything installs fine, but when i go to add the exchange server account, it pops up a dialog asking for my username and password. Once i enter them and hit return, the dialog just reappears over and over and never actually lets me in.
    I have tried doing the exact same process in crossover in a Ubuntu VM, and it all works fine, but if i package it up and bring it back to arch, the same problem pops up, and there's still no way to get out.
    This really is a killer problem for me as the only way I can access my mail and public folders is through a VM on my machine, but the poor Atom N280 is struggling running that with anything else.
    Anyone have any idea how I can fix this, or have some sort of alternative way to get the same thing?

    Didn't test it, but

  • Snow Leopard and Exchange 2007 Configuration Issues

    I know this topic may have been covered in here previously but I have yet to find a solution.
    Here is the background. Our CEO has a Mac Book and two weekends ago he updated to Snow Leopard and now wants to use the Mail client on his Mac rather than OWA to get his email. We have Exchange 2007 (I am the Admin) and have all the latest patches and Roll Ups installed. We run OWA without issue and have 10 iPhones working perfectly (i realized they use different technology to sync). I enabled EWS by following this link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201695.aspx and this is the actual command i used:

    Seems to have run properly and there are no errors reported.
    Now when I go to connect using the Mac it does not Auto Discover and I must enter manually. I enter what i think it needed and its not working. On the Account Information Tab I have the following:

  • Outlook 2013 and Exchange 2007 not always syncing read status of a message

    Out users are experiencing this issue from time to time. Outlook 2013 is using Exchange mailbox as default storage (Exchange 2007 SP3). Sometimes it shows that Inbox has one or few unread messages (Inbox name is bolded and there is a number near it). But
    a user can't find any unread messages in the inbox. If he logs to his mailbox via OWA, then he can find those unread messages. But they are marked as read in the Outlook. So it seems Outlook 2013 has issues syncing with Exchange 2007 as we have never experienced
    such issues when using Outlook 2007 with the same server.
    Any hints on how to make this thing go away, other than instructing users to log via OWA and mark unread messages as read?

    Hi,
    Switch to Exchange Online Mode, does the issue persist?
    It seems to be a sync issue between Outlook and Exchange, make sure the Internet connection is good. Let me know if the issue persist after clicking
    Send/Receive All Folders button.

  • Cfexchangeconnection on Coldfusion 9 and Exchange 2007

    I am experiencing issues with Microsoft Exchange with Coldfusion 9. We recently upgraded from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007 and cannot now successfully connect to Exchange using the cfexchangeconnection tag.
    I get the error: 'Access to the Exchange server denied.Ensure that the user name and password are correct.'
    I understand there have been some issues with Exchange 2007 and Coldfusion 8 and I have followed all the instructions on Adobe's documentation. However, the username and password are correct.
    1. Exchange server is running on Microsoft Server 2008 (WebDAV component has been enabled)
    2. Security certificate has been downloaded to the correct location on the coldfusion server
    3. Webmail has been activated on Exchange server and username/password credentials work when logging in via the webmail interface.
    4. Formbasedauthentication is set to 'true'.
    5. I have tried setting protocol to both http & https
    6. I have tried using '[email protected]' for the username as well as just 'myusername'
    7. Coldfusion can send out emails via CFMAIL using the same credentials as I entered in the cfexchangeconnection tag.
    I would very much appreciate any help anyone could offer.

    Hello Richard,
    Do you have any URL redirecting on your environment? This can cause the error mentioned.
    If you try to login via OWA to a users mailbox with the impersonation account does it succeed? If it doesn't it is likely the issue is with the permissions applied to the CUC account.
    This test was for the UM service account if you run the test for the user does it display a different message? This could help to isolate.
    Also make extra sure you applied the permissions to all applicable Exchanges, commonly clients only apply to one of them:
    Step 4 If you set permissions on individual Exchange server in Step 2 and you have more than one Exchange 2007 server, repeat Step 1 through Step 3 on the following servers:
    •All other Exchange 2007 client access servers that Connection can access.
    •All Exchange 2007 mailbox servers that home mailboxes that you want Connection to be able to access.

  • Exchange 2013 Transport Rules and Exchange 2007 Decommissioning

    Hello,
    I recently migrated from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013, I do have a few traces of Exchange 2007 in the Active Directory that I would like to completely remove. The Exchange 2007 server failed earlier and wasn't decommissioned properly. I read a few articles
    on how to completely remove it from AD, I am still concerned to make the changes in "ADSI Edit".
    Here is the error message I receive when creating transport rules in Exchange 2013:
    "You are about to create a rule in an organization where Hub Transport servers running Exchange Server 2007
    exist. To ensure the rule is applied consistently across all Hub Transport servers in the organization, you must create an equivalent rule from the Exchange Management Console on an Exchange 2007 server."
    I also noticed that the version of the rules remain Version: 14.0.0.0 for any new rules that I am creating in Exchange 2013.
    I would really appreciate if someone can provide their views and the best practices to remove the traces of Exchange 2007 in AD.

    Hi Sathish,
    How about the result after using ADSI Edit ?
