This question may sound stupid but I need to confirm.
Is the FPMComponent required to be used for Help Service to work?
I have configured help services. On some ESS pages it is being displayed. But it is not showing in some cases. I observed that the FPMComponent was not being used when it is not displayed. So kind of figured this out.
Please let me know if I am right.

Hi Manuel,
in logical components the term "Logical System" is used to discribe the combination of system and client in an ABAP system. This does not mean you have to define logical systems in ALE customizing. That is not required as far as I know.

NSAD user directory for shared services not working

Hi!
Im trying to configure a MSAD user directory for shared services in Essbase 11.1.2.1. I have done it correctly in Essbase 9.3.1.
Back then i had to import certificates to the cacerts java file. Is it still necesary? I dont see it mentioned anywhere in the v.11 docs, however, its not working using same parameters. I get an error saying i have specified "either host or port value incorrect".
Do i have to import certificates or am i missing anything else, can anybody help?

Certificates have nothing to do with MSAD.
when you reach to "MSAD user configuration" tab in Shared Services, try to see if you can auto configure user by inputting: sAMAccountNmae="some user ID", replace some user ID with your or admin ID, and verify if you can pull the users from the MSAD.

Is saprouter required for help desk

SAP router set up is not required for service desk config....in case of remote support via MS netmeting or so on Sap router is required....

Then i check error "Agent Unreachable" on top of the report service.
Then i checked EM agent status using command
emctl status agent

1. If you are selling the Service , Use Material Type u201CDIENu201D and for billing with SD module ,u have to use MM with HR module like (Time & Material ) ie..Expense recording (PR05) then PRRW and PRFI.
2 .If vendors provide service for you and you can procure the service and pay to vendor.
The configuration required are:
2.1. Define organization status for service category
SPRO u2013>MM-> ESM->Service master- >Define organization status for service category
2.2. Define Number Ranges
SPRO u2013>MM-> ESM->Service master- >.Define Number Ranges

I have to charge my customer for the services period.
Let us say for Example my company has provided services to a customer worth 1000 dollars and now i have to invoice to the customer. But the customer pays 25% for it and 50% by his insurance company and 25% by his employer. How can i do the invoicing process.

Looking for text services that work in Mavericks

Quite some time ago several sources offered some nice services that, once installed into OSX, one could quickly alter highlighted text to do things like make the text case "sentence case" or "remove caps" etc. After searching for these services today, I'm coming up with a lot of broken links and no solutions. Anyone out there still have access to these handy services?

They are already using standard Web-Dynpro application of Leave Management System on ESS.
Now, they want to use standard Web-Dynpro screens for Appraisal system on ESS.
My Query is: What is the minimum system requirement for using standard Web-Dynpro screens for Appraisal system on ESS ???
I think minimum enhancement pack used for the same requirement is EHP2. Kindly correct me if I am wrong.
One more query: From where we can see the latest Enhancement Pack applied on System ???

Is multi-factor auth required for self-service password reset and portal registration?

Hi, hoping someone can give some clarity on this. I'm dealing with strictly online accounts, no AD sync to local servers. I have enabled and configured self-service password reset in AzureAD. In that config I have required users to register
their alt contact info when logging into the portal. While testing this, I don't get prompted to register unless I've enabled multi-factor auth for the test user account. I need users to register in case they need to use SSPR, but I don't want
to force them into MFA. I've gone over the following article and it says nothing about requiring MFA for SSPR or forced portal registration to work.

I know there is a separate link for the registration portal that will guide users through the process, but that's a separate link. Maybe they'll set it up, maybe they won't. I'd like for the first sign-on to be a smooth process that gets them

ins to Azure, your connected apps, and the access panel, and will come a bit later for Office 365 sign ins, as well.

We had SAP consultant for a few days in our enterprise, and he and his boss made a proposal to resolve some performance issues. One of the items suggested was:

So, I gues we are talking about first one out of three - "SAP EarlyWatch Check" ?

MSIE6 required for website; Safari3 not working

I am unable to properly access my bank's website using Safari 3 as they only support MS IE6.0 . I tried using Tinkertool to emulate IE6 and it still didn't work. When I click on GO and another screen is supposed to pop up nothing happens. Allowoing popup windows didn't correct this. I don't have a dual processor so Parallel or Bootcamp aren't options.
I've also tried Firefox & Netscape and they're even worse for this situation.
Anyone have a suggestion or successful experience with this?

The navbar is JavaScript generated so the pc needs js to have the nabber visible. It may just show a black square where it should appear.

I'm looking for architectural/design documentation on the Oracle Applications Self Service Expense Reporting application.
Specifically I'd like to know how it was designed & architected, what technologies were used to develop it (e.g. CABO, B24J, Oracle Workflow, AQ etc.) and how these technologies interact to form the final system.
We have a product called the Oracle Migration Workbench. It is a standalone java-based application that facilitates the migration of non-Oracle databases over to Oracle9i. We're investigating the possibility of developing a web-based migration capability. Of course we appreciate that moving from a tool-based, single user solution to a web based, multi user solution is not a trivial task.
Seeing that you guys would have already tackled many of the challenges we face I'd appreciate it if you can provide me with any pertinent information.
Any white papers/architectural collateral you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

We will be upgrading to SAP ERP in the near future and will have to use Solution Manager.
We only have one company code and no business areas in our configuration. So that, we do not need ALE, consequently, we have not defined/used a logical system.
Do we now need to define a logical system and assign our client to it, in order to use Solution Manager?
