FPN Prerequisites
Hi All,
We are planning to implement Federared Portal Network for our organization, currently we have various portals in the landscape , all are SAP Portals.
Could you please let me know what are the prerequisites to implement FPN in the above mentioned landscape(all SAP Portals), How to start with FPN implementation?
Exactly i need to know what are the details I need to collect from the administrators of various portals in the current landscape, so that i could collect them and will implemented federated portal network, Please get back to me on the same?

Hi User,
It is very easy and can be done in minutes of time... Its all about exchanging certificates and making portals as consumers and producers and then assigning remote roles.

FPN - NetWeaver Content Producers Folder is empty
Hi,
I am trying to implement RRA scenario in the FPN.
I am able to register consumer portal in Producer and the connection test was successful. I am able to see the consumer portal entry in Producer portal. Both the portals are in same domain and haing same SPS level.
I am trying to assign the role in consumer portal from Producer portal and getting the message 'No Element Found'.
In the consumer portal under "NetWeaver Content Producers" folder I am not getting "Business Objects" and "Portal Content" folders.
What could be the reason and how to resolve this.
Also I tried to remove the unregistered producers (I have 3 entry and having different name) entry from "Manage My Producers" and not able to remote. It is keep on trying to remove. I don't know why it is not allowing me to remove. I am using admin id.

Prerequisites
● add the producer, tested the connection, and registered your portal.
● Do You have administrator read permission on the producer object from which you want to retrieve content. For more information, see Assigning Administrator Permissions to Producer Objects.
● Do You have at least administrator readpermission on the remote content on the producer. For more information, see Setting Permissions on the Producer for 'Remote Delta Link' Mode.
● Do You have access to the standard Content Admin role on the consumer portal

We are in process updating Bw 3.5 to BI 7.0 we hace sucessfully completed the Upgrade but while installing Bi java thru Sapinst in third step like java instance installtion i was stck with the below error.
We have downloaded the Cryptographic file and placed in jdk folder still the same problem is coming.

com.sap.sql.log.OpenSQLException: Error while accessing secure store: Encryption or decryption is not possible because the full version of the SAP Java Crypto Toolkit was not found (iaik_jce.jar is required, iaik_jce_export.jar is not sufficient) or the JCE Jurisdiction Policy Files don't allow the use of the "PbeWithSHAAnd3_KeyTripleDES_CBC" algorithm..
Stack trace of original Exception or Error is:

I have got one document in sdn . It has given the prerequisite as.
Complete installation of DI (CMS, DTR, and CBS) on SAP J2EE Engine
Should i install all the above component? or any one of the components, if need to be, can u anbody tell me how to install , where i will get the help.
How i need to setup the JDI.
We are working on Webdynpro, and VC, some of the portal components development.
Installing the DTR alone is enough to move forward, or JDI is required to setup?

Our Current Portal Version is
NetWeaver 2004s SP 11.
My question, should we need to install all these following components before we setup the JDI.

As per your reply , my understanding is , By installing the JDI , i will be getting all the above components.
BCZ in that document it is gving clearly that, the above components are prerequisites for installing the JDI.
Can u tell me where i will get that service packs in the service market place.

Issue in SOA Suite Installation - prerequisite for AIA 3.0 Installation
We are facing an issue in SOA Suite Installation which is prerequisite for AIA 3.0 Installation. As per AIA 3.0 Installation Guide, the Web Logic Server version to be used is “Web Logic Server 11g R1 10.3.1“ for Linux86 32bit Version.
After Installation of SOA Suite on Linux Environment, the em console page is not opening.

SharePoint Foundation 2013 Prerequisite installer keeps installing and restarting the server
Hi,
I'm trying to install SharePoint foundation 2013 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard SP1.
I already install SQL Server 2012 SP1 and TFS 2013 on the server.
I don't have internet connection on the server so i install the next prerequisites manually:
SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1 Native Client
Microsoft WCF Data Services 5.0
Microsoft Information Protection and Control Client (MSIPC)
Microsoft Sync Framework Runtime v1.0 SP1 (x64)
Windows Identity Extensions
Windows Identity Foundation (KB974405)
Windows Management Framework 3.0
Then I ran the prerequisitiesInstaller.exe from command line -
prerequisiteInstaller.exe /appfabric:[Full AppFabric Installer path] /KB2671763:[AppFabric update path]
the prerequisiteInstaller start to run - after some steps it request for server restart, after the server upload the installer start again and after some steps it request for server restart.
This loop is never ending.
I tried to do some action to fix this issue:

There is any reason or solution for this scenario?Have you checked the log to see at what point and what update is requiring the re-boot? I suspect one of your manually installed pre-requisites may be an older version and when it restarts it starts the regular automated installer, which is causing
the loop. Check the log for more specific errors. The installer creates the log in the following location %TEMP%\prerequisiteinstaller.<date>.<time>.log

Install Prerequisite sharepoint 2013 on windows server 2012 r2, take forever
today i try to install prerequisite, for the first time, it take like 2 hour and still not finish.
its normal??
and then i cancel by using task manager..by end task..
now i run again install prerequisite.

Deploying sharepoint 2013 foundation prerequisites requesting restart
Hi, I am installing the prerequisites for sharepoint 2013 foundation with sp1 on a Windows Server 2008 R2.
After the restart the server is trying to finish the prerequisites installation but never finishes and requires additional restarts.

I checked the installation logs - see bellow.

It is strange, because the prerequisites application identifies all the prerequirements as installed (I think). But it still requires endless restarts.

While reading the https://autospinstaller.codeplex.com/discussions/277130 in the last comment the source suspected was "WAS services". No solution was
mentioned except clean install of Windows.
At the first prerequisites installation I got the following two error messages, but do not know if it is related to the endless restarts problem:

Crystal Reports for VS2010 Prerequisites for ClickOnce Deployment
I keep getting this Error when publishing my application with clickonce even though I have Crystal Reports for VS2010 installed: I want the prerequisites to be downloaded from the same location as my app. Publishing fails with the following error.
The install location for prerequisites has not been set to 'component vendor's web site' and the file 'Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0\CRRuntime_32bit_13_0.msi' in item 'SAP Crystal Reports Runtime Engine for .NET Framework 4.0' can not be located on disk.See KB [1534388 - CRVS2010 - Creating Click Once deployment|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes_boj/sdn_oss_boj_bi/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/scn_bosap/notes%7B6163636573733d36393736354636443646363436353344333933393338323636393736354637333631373036453646373436353733354636453735364436323635373233443330333033303331333533333334333333383338%7D.do].

Any prerequisites for using javascripts (JS) in SAP BPC 7.5NW (SP5)
Hi,
I keep getting evalution and parsing errors, every time I use a JS in my conversion files. It simple standard JS, like:
js:parseInt(%external%)
js:%external%.substring(2,5)
etc
Are there any prerequisites for using javascripts ??
Is there anywhere I can debug these JS withing SAP BW ?

It works now. I have implemented the below code (ENTITY needed to contain the variable as well). The relationship profitcenter and entity is very important as it derives the relevant profitcenters from the profit center hierarchy (e.g. all profitcenters under the legalentity node).

We try to install sccm 2012 serondary site in server 2012. It always failed.
I used the rereqchek tools to check system enviroment locally. All passed.
The primary site installed in server 2012. Both server had granted the administrator permission.

FPN: No ESID found error while invoking BEx iviews for Reports.
Hi Everybody,
We have a federated portal network [FPN] setup. We are EP 7 SP15 for both Consumer portal and BI producer portal.
The content is delivered to users via RRA Remote Role Assignment ] in consumer portal for BI portal roles from Producer bi portal.
The problem is when we are trying to access BEx iviews for Reports i get the error: Internal error No esid found.
The BEx iview for Queries are running fine but the problem is for BEx iviews for Reports in consumer portal.
All reports are running fine in producer BI portal.
Consumer portal AD UME and producer portal is ABAP UME.
Please help to fix this.

I also wanted to point out that we are not experiencing this issue in our Dev enviornment, and all content was transported to Q. Only in Q are we getting this issue.

I am trying to initiate a webdynpro page from the producer to the consume portal via RDL. It works fine for a day. Then it starts giving me the error:

This error cannot be cleared by clearning the FPN cache or synchronize with the producer. Of course, you can also delete the page from the consumer and copy it over from the producer again. It will work. But this is not a good workaround for a production system. We also don't know the cause either. Here is the stack trace:

you may deactivate the GPN cache as well as the old navigation cache. About the GPN there is note 1172433. Both caches are not used in FPN scenario and can lead to such strange problems. If this won't help please open a support message for this that we can analyse further.

I installed a completely new server network with Hyper-v 2012R2
I installed two virtual 2012R2 servers: DC01 as the Domain Controller of "testdomain.local" and EX01 as the Exchange server.

I restarted the server and did the "run as administrator": same result.
The first errormessage in the exchangesetup.log is:

on this error.
When I run dcdiag /s:DC01 from EX01 it passes all tests except:

KccEvent "The RPC server is unavailable."
SystemLog "The RPC server is unavailable."
Could these be of any influence?
Running dcdiag on DC01 passes all tests.
The only thing I changed after setting up DC01, was changing the fixed IP-adres from 192.168.25.3 to 192.168.25.2, but I ran ipconfig /flushdns and ipconfig /registerdns and dcdiag /fix afterwards.
The only roles installed on DC01 are AD DS (I tried installing exchange before and after adding the AD DS role), AD, DNS, DHCP and Fileservices
I don't know where to look anymore....
