FPX & Motion not integrated properly - what to do?

I've just installed Motion 5 and I'm trying to use it with FCPX.  I want to export a clip from FCPX to Motion.  I'm following these instructions:
To send clips or sequences from Final Cut Pro to a new Motion project
In Final Cut Pro, do one of the following:
Select one or more clips in the Browser.
Select a sequence in the Browser.
Select one or more clips in the Timeline.
Choose File > Send To > Motion Project.
In the dialog that appears, do the following:
Choose an export location and enter a name for the new Motion project.
If you want the new Motion project to open immediately in Motion, select the Launch Motion checkbox.
If you selected sequence clips in the Timeline, select the Embed Motion Content checkbox to replace the selected sequence clips in Final Cut Pro with the Motion project you just created (an embedded Motion clip with the .motn extension). For more information, see Sending Selected Sequence Clips from Final Cut Pro to Motion.
Click Save.

But, I have no 'File > Send To > Motion Project' command available in my File frop down menu.  I know Motion is installed and works because I can make clips.  Did something maybe happen on the install that did not install the menu option? 
What should I do to get the full intergrated functionality?

I believe the instructions you are quoting were meant for the legacy Final Cut Pro.
As of yet, there is no "round trip" between FCP X and Motion 5 in the way you are describing.
The best course of action depends on the kind of manipulations you need to do. Note that the effects that you can find in the Effects Browser in FCP X are Motion 5 effects. They have lots of parameters which you can manipulate without leaving FCP X. Plus, they can be opened in Motion by control-clicking (you can open a copy if they are the default effects shipped with FCP X; for other effects you can modify them directly). 
For most users, either an already existing effect (or transition or title or generator - they are done in Motion 5), possibly with some tweaking in Motion, or an effect available from a third party (some are free, some paid) is all that they need.
If you know your way around Motion, you will probably be best served by designing the kind of effect you want, publish the required parameters, and have it available any time you want, for any clip you want, with full customization, without leaving FCP X. 
If you don't know your way around Motion, then use the effects that already exist.
If you feel that you NEED to open your own movie in Motion for further manipulation, though, I believe the only solution is to export to Quicktime, open that in Motion, and then import back. It seems to be a very big drawback, but as I explained above, probably not something you REALLY need to do often.
