FR Reports Backup in v9.3.1

Hi All,
How we can take backup of the FR Reports automatically instead of manually exporting The Reports through Worspace and then Importing the Report to restore.
Thanks,
PVR

Well, you can backup the SQL database that is the repository for Financial Reports and restore it in the target environment for starters.

  • HT3728 My time capsule reports Backup Failed

After a year of more of faultless backups, suddenly my TC reports Backup Failed. I have tried to restart, dismount and remount, but it still reports Backup Failed. I have a 2T TC and use it to backup two Macbooks.

    Any ideas?
    Wireless Interference
Might be caused by a cordless phone in the vicinity. To give you an example, my neighbor.....across the street...used to be able to literally crash my wireless network if he was in his front yard talking on his cordless phone.
I discovered this by accident one day after spending weeks trying figure out why my network would crash at random times.
Other possibilities include a wireless security/camera system near you
Still other things might be an amateur ham radio operator....which should not interfere....but again from experience, I know that this can occur.
Yet another possibility is another wireless network near you that is being turned on and off at random times. Some users power up their modem/router only when they want to do so and leave it off otherwise.
Some general rules to help avoid interference:
Move any cordless phones that you might have as far away as possible from the Time Capsule and/or your computer(s)
Avoid placing other electronic devices....computer, television, amplifier, satellite receiver, etc. near the Time Capsule and/or your computer(s)
Avoid metal surfaces near the Time Capsule and/or your computers
Elevate the Time Capsule as much as possible. Think of it as a water sprinkler....you want to get the room as wet as possible
Experiment with different wireless channels on the Time Capsule. To do this:
    Open AirPort Utility
    Click on the Time Capsule
    Click Edit
    Click the Wireless tab
    Click Wireless Options
Start with Channel 11 on the 2.4 GHz band and work your way down
It is unlikely that you are picking up interference on the 5 GHz band since there are.....for now at least.....far fewer networks using this frequency.

  • TimeMachine reports "Backup Disc full" but TC has still 250 GB free space

    Hi
i have a little problem with my TC 500GB. After a few backups which worked fine, my TC reported that the backup Volume is full and that TM has to delete an older backup. But my TC has still 250 GB free space (as shown in the airport utility and over the finder).
I have only one partition or drive on my TC (as shipped).
The first solution for me would be to erase the drive on the TC and Reset it. But i would like to avoid to backup my files again over wireless lan.
Any ideas how to solve this problem without deleting the drive on the TC and resetting it?
    thanks

    Hi,
Have you received any responses at all to this? It doesn't seem so.
I have exactly the same problem with a 1TB TC and my wife's MB C2D. It had some problems backing up for a while (apparently due to all the wireless issues being reported on these discussion boards - and NOT due to DNSchanger, I've checked). After I managed to get it backed up again by plugging in direct and left backing up overnight, it is now reporting that the backup disk is "almost full". However, there's over 450GB of space left and my MacBook Pro, which also backs up to the same TC is not reporting any issues.
If anyone knows what the solution might be, please let me know.
    Rgds,
    Guy

  • Time Machine reports backup disc needs to be 8.78 Tb.  I only have a 250Gb system drive???

Thought I'd do a TM backup before installing Mavericks.  It messed up big time!
I backup manually depending on how much stuff has accumulated.  It varies between a few Mb to 3 or 4 Gb sometimes more.  Today Time Machine decided that it wanted to reorganise the backup in some way.  I watched as the available space on the TM disk went up as TM set about the task.  After a couple or three hours TM actually started to do the backup.  The size of the backup being 500Gb or something like that.  Several hours later of listening to my fans working flat out I cancelled the back up with TM reporting that there was 200 odd Gb to go.  No warning from TM to say this was a bad idea.  It had been chuntering away for something like 5 hours.
After halting the backup I thought I'd start the backup again just to see how much more needed to be done.  This is when I got the report that the backup disk needed to be in the order of Tb. And the oldest backup is now Nov 2013.  The oldest backup before this was way back in June 2012 (MacBookPro Rertina mid 2012) when I first bought the computer.
Entering TM I find that even that is not complete. All but a couple of applications have dissapeared as have many other files.
Trouble is I use it as an archive and happily delete files on my hard drive knowing that there is a copy in a backup that pre dates the deletion.
There is also an earlier backup from my previous machine - again as a rarely accessed archive.  So that's another reason not to reformat.
I'm pretty sure all is lost and I think I just have to bite the bullet and risk not needing anything from the archive.  After all I have CD and DVD backups/archives that go back to the late '90s and I have rarely needed to access them over the years.  The biggest loss will be photos.  ****!
Anyway.  What happened?  Why has TM gone off the rails?  I have done nothing different to what I have done in 5 years or so.  Is this normal behaviour?  If I hadn't have cancelled the back up would TM have slowly rebuilt all my backups as was?
    Andy

Trouble is I use it as an archive and happily delete files on my hard drive knowing that there is a copy in a backup that pre dates the deletion.
Before going any further please understand that's a very bad idea. It's beyond Time Machine's scope to do that. It is not an archival system and cannot be made to become one. Time Machine guarantees nothing other than one complete copy of the source volume's contents. Anything erased from the source becomes fair game for Time Machine to delete from the backup, the moment it requires the space it occupies.
Next: I have no idea why the problem occurred, but a first and harmless troubleshooting step is to reset Time Machine by doing the following:
Turn off Time Machine first, and make sure a backup is not in progress.
Triple click to select the entire line, then control-click and select Services > Reveal in Finder. Drag the selected file to the Desktop, or directly to the Trash:
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.TimeMachine.plist
This will not delete your existing backups.
Turn on Time Machine and reselect your backup volume. The effect of deleting that file will cause erroneous values to be shown in the "backing up xxx of yyy" messages until the subsequent backup.
If it's any consolation, terminating Time Machine as you did is not an abnormal user action and did not cause the problem. It may have resulted in inaccurate information being written to the property list, which you will fix by deleting it. It's quite possible that your backups have remained intact. Just remember that anything you delete from the source may no longer exist following the subsequent backup, and that is to be expected.

    1. Install SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services
    2. Move the Report Server Database
    3. Configure the Report Server
    4. Create a reporting services point on a Configuration Manager 2007 site system computer (not sure if we need to create the folder on report server)
    5. Configuring Properties for the Reporting Services Point
    6. Copying standard Configuration Manager reports to Reporting Services (not sure if we need this when the SSRS database is recovered?)

  • Methods to report backup status of CUCM

Is there any methods out there that allows the reporting of CUCM backup status via DRS.  I want to report on backup status (eg the backup history page in DRS).  I can't see any way of getting this info out apart from scraping the DRS Web page.  Checked the data dictionary for any tables that might contain job history but nothing is too obvious atm.
I realise you can get the system to email out job failures/issues but there seems to be no way to email status whether it be success or failure.
    Cheers

    Hello Agathe,
Would you mind telling me how you are getting the SNMP trap notifications for DRS? I'm in the same situation would like to know if there is a MIB/OID which can be checked. I know you can send the syslog message under alarm->drs and send to a remote syslog server. But would much rather be able to via SNMP to alert on failures.

  • Time Machine does not recognize my iMac backup. Reports: not enough space; can't back up. How do I get it to recognize the backup?

Time Machine does not recognize my 430 GB iMac backup on 1 terabyte Time Capsule. Reports: not enough space; can’t back up. How do I get it to recognize the old backup and continue backups?

Thanks for the Time Machine Troubleshooting link. Apparently things have changed since 10.7.0. Backups.backupdb doesn’t exist. Path now is: Time Capsule/Data/Daru’s iMac.sparsebundle. So I did Terminal (I usually avoid Terminal) using the instruction in B6. It does not appear to be working. It went through looking for backup, preparing backup, and is now stopping backup, and the TMBackup has disappeared from the sidebar.
Well, just now Time Machine progressed to preparing backup again; the Tiime Machine Backups appeared in sidebar, and with it Backups.backupdb/Daru’s iMac/2012-04-21-112939.inProgress. So it does exist... I’ll let it run, see what happens... But that is a strange date. Today is 28.
I’ll let you know the outcome.
Oops. Just ended! Real time report: “Backup too large for disk...“ So it is not recognizing the old backup. I’ll look at those instructions again, see if I can do the Terminal thing with the backup running. I doubt I can damage anything except the existing baackup which I'll lose anywy if I can’t achieve recognition.

  • If I need a full rman restore which backups will it use?

    Hello,
I have a database 11.1.0.7 with 8TB. Block change tracking is enabled.
At the weekend I take level 0 backup and during the week level 1 cumulative.
For some weeks the level 0 backup is failing, so I only have level 1 cumulative backups taken every week day with a 4 weeks old level 0 backup.
If I need a full rman restore which backups will it use? Will it be the last level 0 backup with the last level 1 cumulative?
I ask this because grid crontrol tells me that the recent level 1 backups input size is smaller than last week level 1 backups and in between I dont have any level 0 sucessfull backups. Shouldn't the input size of level 1 cumulative increase until the next level 0 backup ?
    The grid reports:

    From http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/backup.111/b28270/rcmvalid.htm
    Validating Backups Before Restoring Them
You can run RESTORE ... VALIDATE to test whether RMAN can restore a specific file or set of files from a backup. RMAN chooses which backups to use.
The database must be mounted or open for this command. You do not have to take datafiles offline when validating the restore of datafiles, because validation of backups of the datafiles only reads the backups and does not affect the production datafiles.
When validating files on disk or tape, RMAN reads all blocks in the backup piece or image copy. RMAN also validates offsite backups. The validation is identical to a real restore operation except that RMAN does not write output files.
You can monitor what RESTORE VALIDATE does.
Make precautions, so you do not damage the production DB!!!

  • Windows Backup fails to complete and System shows 29 Restore Points all titled "System Image restore point" but none will work.

Problems both seemed to appear about the same time and may be related.
Had backups on an  external drive prior to the problem and appeared to be working. I have since cleaned the external drive in an attempt to start a new backup series but it continues to stop and report backup has failed.
The System restore was working fine and one day it had changed all the existing Restore Points to "System Image restore point"
but still showed all the different dates.  In the System Properties window it indicates that there are 0 bytes in "current usages",
which I assume they are all empty but I can't create any new ones. I get Error code 0x80042308.
I have tried the Clean Boot with no results. I use MS Security Essentials for virus protection.
I have no other symptoms or problems on the PC.
About ready for a Recovery and start all over.

    Hi,
Your first step should be to run chkdsk /r /f on all the drives in that computer. Shadow copy errors are often caused by disk problems (usually minor) which chkdsk will find and correct.
Also, this issue can be caused that VSS dlls are corrupted.
Re-install the VSS dlls by following these steps:
    a. Using command prompt, CD to the WINDOWS\system32 directory
    b. Stop the Volume Shadow Copy service by executing the command "net stop vss"
    c. Register the following DLLs and services by executing these commands:
    regsvr32 ole32.dll
    regsvr32 vss_ps.dll
    Vssvc /Register
    regsvr32 /i swprv.dll
    regsvr32 /i eventcls.dll
    regsvr32 es.dll
    regsvr32 stdprov.dll
    regsvr32 vssui.dll
    regsvr32 msxml.dll
    regsvr32 msxml3.dll
    regsvr32 msxml4.dll
    Hope these could be helpful.

  • Backup Volume cannot be mounted

Time machine stopped working for me back in July. I've looked at every post and tried nearly everything, and I cannot get it working again. The error through the Time Machine pref pane is "The Backup volume cannot be mounted." The errors in the console are the following:
Sep 4 23:19:25 tesla /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[50182]: Backup requested by user
Sep 4 23:19:25 tesla /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[50182]: Starting standard backup
Sep 4 23:19:25 tesla /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[50182]: Network mountpoint /Volumes/Backup not owned by backupd... remounting
Sep 4 23:19:26 tesla /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[50182]: Failed to remount network volume.
Sep 4 23:19:31 tesla /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[50182]: Backup failed with error: 19
This is a network volume. It's a 750GB firewire drive, formatted HFS+ with a GUID partition table connected to an iMac. The iMac can back up just fine to it. My MBP cannot. It worked before.
It appears it is failing to remount the drive as root rather than myself, as backupd runs as root. Others are having the same problem, and I've seen no resolution for this particular issue. Is Apple even aware of it? Do they even read the discussion forums?

    Paul,
    Give these ideas some condsideration:
First, it is important to distinguish this error message from another, similar Time Machine error that states “The backup volume could not be found”. This is important as the causes and cures for these two errors can be very different.
Give each topic separate consideration. If one does not resolve your issue, move on the next one.
*Time Machine Has Lost Its’ Backup Disk*
If Time Machine was NOT setup to recognize a hard disk for backup, and “Back up now” was selected from the Time Machine Dock icon, an error would report “No backup volume has been selected. To select a backup volume, open . . “ The Console log would report:
    +Backup failed with error: 17+
But if Time Machine HAD BEEN setup to use a specific disk for backups, but if had lost its’ connection to the drive, it would report “The backup volume could not be mounted”. The Console log would say:
+FSMatchAliasBulk returned -35 while resolving alias to backup target+
    +Backup failed with error: 19+
When you check the Time Machine preferences you may see the name of your backup disk greyed-out and a generic hard drive icon beside it. More than likely this means Time Machine has lost is physical connection to the drive. Either the drive is not plugged in, it’s not turned ON, the drives’ cable is bad, the drives internal controller has failed, or the drive has a sleep function that is preventing it from waking when a backup is called for.
*Airport Has Been Turned Off* (For Time Capsule / AirDisk Users) #
Look and the Airport menu at the top of the screen. Does it no longer display the radiating bands of wireless signal strength? The Airport has been turned off on this computer.
    Go to System Preferences.
    Select Network.
    Click “Turn Airport On”
    Now try backing up.
*File Sharing Has Been Disabled* (For Time Capsule / AirDisk Users) #
    Launch Airport Utility.
    Click "Manual Setup".
Select "Disks" in the tool bar at top of window.
    Click "File Sharing".
Verify that "Enable file sharing" is checked.
If not, check it, click “Update”.
Once the Time Capsule has finished restarting, close Airport Utility and try backing up again.
*Password Has Changed/Become Corrupted* (For Time Capsule / AirDisk Users) #
[Mac OS X 10.5.3 or later: Time Machine - "Backup volume could not be mounted" after changing network volume's password]
    *Proper Computer Name* #
Make sure your computer has a proper name. Go to System Preferences --> Sharing. Time Machine needs to differentiate your computer from others on your network (i.e. "Bills MacBook" or "Office iMac"). If the "Computer Name" field is blank, create a name. Realize that if this step is necessary, you will likely have to start the Time Machine backup process over again and do another full initial backup.
According to THIS article [http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1760], Time Machine may experience problems if your computer name includes certain characters. Make sure the computer name only includes ASCII characters from the following set.
    (0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ)
Once a change in the computer name occurs, you should stop and restart Sharing on the affected computer. Uncheck and then recheck Sharing in the Services list on the left.
Also, if the name of your backup devise contains any special characters (like an apostrophe) consider removing them and trying a backup again.
Let is know if any of the ideas above helped.
    Cheers!

  • Time machine cannot make a backup

I use Mountain Lion 10.8.4. Recently my Time Machine started to behave wierdly: when backup is going, expected backup size is always by few GB larger than completed part. So that at one point of time it's 70 of 74 GB's done, after that it's 71 of 75 and so on until backup volume runs out of space.
Reported backup size for my system (inside time machine configuration, with some directories excluded), is about 75 GB's. When the backup is failing, it gets as high as 200+ GBs.
For me it looks like some kind of hard link directory loop what "generates" data over and over.
I've already tried emptying the TM volume. Also the Disk Utility doesn't find any problem with volume (which is backupped) data.
What's the best course of action in this kind of problem solving?

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    diskutil list | open -f -a TextEdit
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V).
A TextEdit window will open with the output of the command. If the command produced no output, the window will be empty. Post the contents of the TextEdit window (not the Terminal window), if any — the text, please, not a screenshot. The title of the window doesn't matter, and you don't need to post that.
If any personal information appears in the output, anonymize before posting, but don’t remove the context.
