Fragments into One Image

How does one do this in Flash? What is that technique called?
See this site as an example of fragmenting into one image::
http://www.quinncom.net/about_us.asp
That site fragments and comes to one image. That is what I
would like to do on my homepage. Keep in mind that I have two
buttons on the home page. Can the two buttons fragment? along with
banner at top and bottom (they are not buttons)?
Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Mary,
I don't believe there is any
automated method to do this, just some work. It looks like
in this case there not actually 'breaking' the image into pieces,
it appears as though they have used a series of masks that move
over the top of the image revealing the graphic under them. Also,
this would be difficult to achieve on your 'whole page' but not
impossible, that is, if your entire page is in Flash.
So it seems like you could use a couple of different methods
here:
1) create a bitmap of the homepage, slice it into a hundred
pieces, bring them in with tweens, and then 'jump' to the 'real'
page when complete.
2) use a series of masks, over the entire page, bring them
in, then remove the mask when complete.
either way it will be a fairly complicated process.
PS. you may actually be able to use the Transitions class
here to apply an effect

  • I have Photoshop CS 6 on my computer.  I want to bring a series of photos together into one image wi

    I have Photoshop CS 6 on my Mac computer.  I want to bring a series of photos together into one image without any space between images, does anyone know how to this?  Ideally I would like to this manually.
    The reason I ask in my ealier verion of Photoshop, CS3, there was a manual alignment  feature when using 'Photo Merge' feature, undr which you could manual alignment photographs if you wanted to, and I do in this instance.  This feature was removed in subsequent versions of Photoshop CS 4,5, and 6.

    Sean, Batch resize them all to the samne size, load as layers, increase Canvas size, and the layers will 'snap' together with the Move tool.  You'll be able to use the alignment tools in the Options bar when the Move tool is selected.  You will also be able to use the 'Auto select layer' feature in the Options bar to make it easier grabing the right layer.
    Otherwise, get hold of Contact Sheet 2. Still resize all the images to the same size, and set the gap to zero, and turn titles off.  Please note this is from memory, and it is years sonce I last used Contact Sheet.

  • How Do I Combine Several Images Into One Image Which Contains Links To A Series Of Web Sites?

    How do I combine several images into one such that the combined image contains a series of web links? In particular, I’d like to create such an image and put it into my Outlook email signature. At present, as per the image below, I have at least six separate images in my email signature with each image containing a web link. Is Photoshop the best tool for this job? Or would it be easier to do this in some other package? I have three packages at my disposal: Photoshop, Ilustrator and Dreamweaver. Can someone please explain in detail how I would do this? Or perhaps someone could direct me to a link that explains how to do this. Thank you.

    Thank you for that correction, Hobotor. I admit I hadn't thought about an image map, in the context of someone who doesn't seem to know HTML very well...  My thinking was running along the use of the Photoshop Slice Tool to get most of the way there...
    To expand on the above, if you were to slice up your image using the Slice Tool, say like this:
    Save for Web & Devices will create the HTML and save all the sub-images.
    Then you edit the HTML and add a (hypertext link) elements surrounding the various images.  Only thing is you'll have to set the border-style of the images to none.
    For example:
    <!-- Save for Web Slices () -->
    <table id="Table_01" width="554" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
    <tr>
      <td colspan="10">
       <img id="Sig_01" style="border-style:none" src="images/Sig_01.jpg" width="554" height="56" alt="" /></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
      <td colspan="10">
       <a href="http://www.GrahamsWebSite.com"><img id="Sig_02" style="border-style:none" src="images/Sig_02.jpg"
            width="554" height="43" alt="" /></a></td>
    </tr>
    etc.
    A full copy of the HTML and images can be found here...  View Source to see it as an example:

  • Combine images into one image

    I have 13 small images 100x100, and I would like to combine them into one 1300x1300 image.  I have all the latest vision assistant and IMAQ software.  I can't figure out an easy way to do this using Labview?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Kevin Baker

    I am not too familiar with IMAQ but have done LV image processing where you can use an array to represent the data (I think IMAQ uses some border pixels in their array to accomidate for image processing near image edges).  You can initialize a 700x700 array (use a numeric type which agrees with your image bit depth, then for each image use the replace array subset with the column/ row corresponding to the x,y location of the origin (upper left  corner) of each image to replace, the length of each subset is equal to the width and height (100 in this case) of the inserting image.  So for image 1 the replace subset would be:
    column = 300, length = 100, row =0, length 100.
    Repete this for all 13 images.  As for the IMAQ conversion I dont know the answer since I dont have a copy of IMAQ.

  • How to Open Multiple Files into One Image with a Format Plug-in?

    Basic overview question:
    I'm interested in creating a format plug-in that will open multiple image files and combine them, then provide one image to Photoshop for further work.
    1.  Can an .8bi plug-in receive notification of multiple files to be opened?  (Not unlike Camera Raw).  Or does one absolutely need to use an .8ba Import plug-in to do this?  I would prefer .8bi.
    2.  Assuming yes, could the latter parts of the plug-in interface be used to open just one combined image?
    Thanks!
    -Noel

    1) An import plugin (8bi) doesn't get file information - it has to provide it's own open dialog.  Only a file format plugin gets a file, but only one at a time.  (ACR has some special magic)
    You might want to take a look at the PhotoMerge and MergeToHDR setups with a script driving a plugin.

  • Combining 100 pngs with transparent background, vertically into one image PSE9

    As the question suggests,
    In PSE9 is it possible to combine 100+ PNG files (with identical dimensions & transparent background) into a single PNG file where the images are stacked vertically? and without trimming/cropping the transparent part of the image! I want to retain the exact original image dimensions so that they all stack neatly and precisely.
    So far what I've tried is opening up the 100 PNG files in PSE9, create a new document with transparent background using the same width as the individual files and the height set to the individual file height multiplied by 100. (i.e. original image is 36 x 120 so the new file will be 36 x 12000) Then I get stuck! Whenever I drag a single file into the newly created document, it seems to be cropped to the image edges and no longer retains it's original height and width. Not to mention that hand dragging 100 files seems like a long-winded way of doing things... My automate button seems to be greyed out (so no contact sheet?) and I can't find any other automated process.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    Thanks
    N.
    PSE 9 on Win 7

    Please compare the resoultion of the two documents too. And a better way of arranging the layers would be to use distribute option in the move tool. You can find more about the move tool at http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/using/moving-copying-selections.html#main-pars_h eading_0
    Thus your workflow would be:
    Create a new document with the required dimension.
    Use File>Place to place all your png files on the created document as layers
    Use distribute option in move tool
    A still better workflow would be to use put all the files in a folder and write an ExtendScript to read the files and place them as layers on the document of said dimension

  • Join the two JInternalFrame into one

    hi everybody,
    What can I do to join two JInternalFrame into one, like I have 2 floating panel then I join it into 1 by using JTappedPane. That you can drag to spit it out or join together !
    thanks,

    I think you mean saving two images side-by-side into one image. You won't be able to this with a native iphone app, but you may find a third party app on the AppStore to do this. Try this http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/two-faces-photo-sharing/id406310161?mt=8 if you want more help, email me at [email protected]

  • How to combine images from several different shoots into one

    Have LR 3.6 for Win xp.
    I have 4 differernt photo shoots that I want to combine into one big single catalogue.  I want to be able to rank and choose images from all 4 shoots at the same time so I can get the best ones identified.
    Each shoot is already in its separate catalogue but I cant figure out how to get all 4 shoots to show up at once so I can rank the best shots and maybe even make a collection of my best images from the 4 shoots.
    How might I do this??
    Thanks Suzzie

    My primary suggestion is that you watch the many videos by Julianne Kost provided in the Adobe site about organizing in the Library Module in LR 4, or read one of the many good LR books. If you want to venture on your own here's a very shorthand description of one of many ways to do what you want. Choose which Catalog you want to use. Open that Catalog and choose "Import from Another Catalog" under the File Menu in the Library Module. Select the images and import them to your chosen main catalog. Once all are in the same Catalog either Keyword all similar images you wish to compare, or make separate Collections of each one. Use the Compare function in the Library ("c" key) and eliminate the one you don't want. Unless you have one client viewing your images in LR and you don't want them to see that you have other images for other clients, I would suggest you use only a single catalog from here on out.

  • How do I add multiple images into one file?

    I'm sure this is something that's been covered in another post (or even in the help portal) but I think my wording in my search terms are not correct or... I don't know, because I just can't find what I'm looking for.
    I want to know how to add multiple images into one file/one image, both horizontally and/or vertically. To give you an idea of what I mean, check out :
    http://www.best10apps.com/apps/comic-story,531596060.html
    If you scroll down, you'll see a heading entitled : Screenshots of Comic Story. Notice how there's 3 pictures (divided by borders). 2 of those pictures are side by side, and 1 of them is below the first 2 pictures.
    I want to know how to add different pictures/images and put them into one picture.

    One way is to create template PSD files and populate them with your images using Photoshops scripts.
    Photo Collage Toolkit UPDATED June 12, added Picture Package Support via PasteImageRoll and BatchPicturePackage scripts.
    The package includes four simple rules to follow when making Photo Collage Template PSD files so they will be compatible with my Photoshop scripts.
    There are eleven scripts in this package they provide the following functions:
    TestCollageTemplate.jsx - Used to test a Photo Collage Template while you are making it with Photoshop.
    CollageTemplateBuilder.jsx - Can build Templates compatible with this toolkit's scripts.
    LayerToAlphaChan.jsx - Used to convert a Prototype Image Layer stack into a template document.
    InteractivePopulateCollage.jsx - Used to interactively populate Any Photo Collage template. Offers most user control inserting pictures and text.
    ReplaceCollageImage.jsx - use to replace a populated collage image Smart Object layer with an other image correctly resized and positioned.
    ChangeTextSize.jsx - This script can be used to change Image stamps text size when the size used by the populating did not work well.
    PopulateCollageTemplate.jsx - Used to Automatically populate a Photo Collage template and leave the populated copy open in Photoshop.
    BatchOneImageCollage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Collage templates that only have one image inserted. The Collage or Image may be stamped with text.
    BatchMultiImageCollage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Any Photo Collage template with images in a source image folder. Easier to use than the interactive script. Saved collages can be tweaked.
    BatchPicturePackage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Any Photo Collage template with an image in a source image folder
    PasteImageRoll.jsx - Paste Images into a document to be print on roll paper.

  • Can you merge two still images into one in premiere elements?

    I am working on a slide show for a memorial service and would like to have one still image showing and then have the next one come in without replacing the former- somehow merge the two. Is that possible?

    Depending on what you mean by "merge," you can use PiP (Picture in Picture) to have the second image come in and occupy part of the screen with the original image. There are many ways to display PiP, from say a small image located in the screen to having it occupy one half of the screen.
    Does that sound like what you are hoping to do?
    Besides the rather simple PiP, one can also use Track Matte Keying to bring up the second image and to soften edges, drop it into an image of, say a TV set, or a window.
    The possibilities are endless, or nearly so.
    Let us know if PiP works for you, or if you need a more intricate merging of the images.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • IO - Read two image files and put them into one file

    Hi,
    i have 3 files in all. The two image files and one text file. I need to place the image in the first image file, followed by text in the text file and then the image in the second image file, into one file.
    Can anyone tell me how do i go about doing this ?
    i tried using fileinputstream and fileoutputstream, which works fine if all the 3 files have text but when the first and the third file have image, the code doesn't give any error but the result file displays only the image from the first file and nothing else.
    i am running short of time and need to do this really soon.
    if anyone has done anything like this. please let me know,
    thanx,
    poonam

    One approach would be to programmatcally create a single zip/jar file from the three input files. You can use the java.util.zip and java.util.jar packages for this purpose.
    The other apprach would be to create a single image by drawing images and text strings on a BufferedImage object.
    I think the first approach is preferable because you can easily extract the individual files from the zip/jar file

  • Is it possible to paste two images into one layer?

    I'm having some issues pasting two images into one layer. Every time I paste the second image, it automatically creates a new layer...is there anyway to prevent that from happening? I'm making an animation on photoshop and I want there to be more than image in some of the frames. Please let me know if you have any suggestions! Thanks!

    You can merge the two layers together once they're position. Select the top layer and choose merge down or select both and choose merge layers (from the layers menu).

  • I want to combine 9 images into one so I can get them printed on a card any help or do I need an inexpensive app?

    I would like to combine 9 images into one so that I can print them on a card. Can I do this in i-photo or do I need an inexpensive app?

    No, iPhoto can't do it.  If you have Pages it can be done there very easily.  Drag all of the photos into a Pages page, resize and arrange as necessary.
    Otherwise you'll need a 3rd party image editor that supports layers.
    Some Image Editors That Support layers:
    Photoshop Elements 11 for Mac - $79
    GraphicConverter - $40
    Rainbow Painter - $30
    Imagerie - $38
    Acorn - $50
    Pixelmator - $60
    Seashore - Free
    GIMP for Mac - Free
    Xee 2.1 - free

  • FCP 10.1.3 multiple graphic images into one frame

    Hi - How do I put multiple graphic images into one frame? - so it kind of looks like a video wall - except these are still images. I can do it manually but it's not precise. Anyone found a way other than this? Thanks.

    Here is my quick and dirty generator called "9 Pictures": https://www.dropbox.com/s/92c536wgesh2yzj/9%20Pictures.zip?dl=0
    To install it, unzip the file and place the folder inside /Users/yourname/Movies/Motion Templates/Generators
    It will look like this in FCP X. You just have to click each drop zone icon in the inspector and then select the desired clip from the browser. Use the Pan and Scale controls in the inspector to select which part of each image you want to use. Note: this was done in the hope that it may be helpful, but it is no more than a quick thing. You can also control-click the generator in the generator browser and choose open in motion (if you have it) to see how it was done and to modify it.
