Frame 12 Server documentation videos don't work

I've tried to get the embedded videos in the Frame 12 Server documentation (e.g., "Getting Started Guid") to work under multiple browsers to no effect. Clicking on them results in nothing happening. Here's my case in point: Quite a pity since the docs seem to be entirely dependent on these videos contextually. Any suggestions?

You have to be using a PDF viewer that allows javascript (i.e. Reader, Acrobat, etc.) and not viewing the PDF within a browser. IIRC, security settings in the browser will prevent the videos from launching.
They work just fine for me when I use Acrobat.

Since updating Firefox to 36, embedded Flash videos don't work. HTML5 and Flash videos on YouTube work fine. I have Click-To-Play enabled (disabling it didn't help too), but instead of a grey area with the message I just see a black area where the video is supposed to be. Flash videos don't work with PepperFlash disabled (but with system plugin enabled) on Chrome!

Hello everyone,
Basically, Google Chrome lags a lot when I use PepperFlash and so I have heard that disabling it and using the system flash will have better performance. I have done this but when I disable PepperFlash, the flash videos don't work as it says flash player has crashed. Also, I would like to resolve the lag and bad performance with flash videos on chrome because the video playback on Internet Explorer is a lot better than Chrome(Never thought I would have to say that) atm. A possible solution might be to install 32-Bit Chrome instead
Summary:
Flash videos lag(most likely due to PepperFlash being used according to other people)
When PepperFlash is disabled, the system flash plugin does not work in chrome as it apparently crashes every time.
I would like help on how to resolve the bad performance and be able to use the system flash plugin to have no lag on videos and livestreams.

Can you open up your Real Player and tell me what version you have? I think Real Player 15.0.6 is supposed to fix this problem. There was a conflict between Real Player and Flash this whole summer that broke Flash videos. Real Player released a update that might help in your case.
If that doesn't help, I think a addon might be to blame here. So do this:

N73 Video Don't Work After Upgrade

Help please, i updated my N73 OS from V3.0638.0.0.1 to V3.0704.1.0.1. Now the video don't work anymore, it can't playback what is shot! anybody have suggestions?
Also, N73 seem to be very slow, how can i possibly have it more responsive? Right now, there is an irritating lag whenver you go to the diff functions.
Help would really be appreciated.

If the lag presists after upgrading to version 3.x.05.x. try going to the camera settings and choosing to save on the PHONE MEMORY and try if it lags, IF NOT than memory card needs to be replaced with a faster one. If its still laggy then i don't know

Embedded YouTube videos don't work on Safari on the iPhone.

Sometime after June 15, 2013, embedded YouTube videos stopped working on web pages on Safari on the iPhone (iOS6). They work on Safari on the Mac and they work in the iOS YouTube app. I see the preview frame and the play button, but when clicking the play button, the frame goes black and nothing ever plays. This worked up until 6/15 and the pages haven't changed. Did Apple do something to stop them from working on the iPhone recently?

You may have turned off an option in Flash preferences to not allow sites to store Flash cookies on your machine. Some videos made in Flash and served from third-party (non-YouTube) pages expect to be able to store Flash cookies, so the videos may not work with this Flash option turned off.
Go to [https://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.html Flash Global Storage Settings Panel] which is served from Adobe/Macromedia's site and check the "Allow third-party Flash content..." box, and the box for "Store common Flash components..." where you can then manage sites you have already visited. You'll have to reload the video page after you change this setting.
Also, leave site feedback on those sites where you experienced the problems encouraging them to use HTML5 for serving video content instead of the proprietary Flash format.

Videos don't work on IE8 or Firefox, have tried all I can think of. Please help?

A bit of background.
My computer runs Windoxs XP 2002, with Service Pack 3. About two months ago I noticed that youtube did not work on IE7, so I recently downloaded IE8...needless to say videos still don't work (on youtube and bbc amongst others). I have Adobe Flash Player 10.1.102.64 (the latest I think).
By don't work I mean that when I go to bbc the vidoes either appear as a still, which one would normally click on to start, or they appear blank / white. When they appear as a still and I click on the video, the place where the video was goes blank.
Youtube loads really strangely (I think kind of like HTML version) and no vidoes work.
I have checked that all add-ons are enabled, and my Java is up to date. I have also fiddled aroud with the "enable hardware acceleration" but to no avail.
On top of that I have uninstalled and re-installed both flash player and IE8 (the second time I downloaded IE8 I clicked on the 32 bit version). When installing flash player I used the desktop version and disconnected from the internet just to make sure.
Having looked on some forums I tried Firefox but again no luck. I am getting really frustrated as I have no idea what to do.
In terms of do I operate 32 bit or 64 bit, I don't know (if someone could tell me how to find out then I will).

Adding the read permissions to the registry key as noted above fixes the problem when the 'read' permissions for "USERS' is missing.
In systems I have checked the key has the USERS permission ACE before 10.1.102.64 is installed and missing after the installation.
On Windows Server 2003 the key inherits 'Authenticated Users' instead of 'Users' which should be true for all systems post-XP. The inheritance seems to be removed and keys are not copied in correctly.
I believe, and this should be checked with Microsoft, that the inheritance needs to be restored and the root of CLASSES/MIME. This is what I have chosen to do as this is the way it is on all working systems.
The error may be caused by one of the trojans that has attempted to exploit Adobe Flash as this would cause Power Users(this account is missing too) to install a new control. They could then be redirected to another rogue site where malware could be installed. All of my systems run as standard users and I only run as admin to do installs and repairs so this exploit would not easily work.
This is a good warning to not run as a Power User. As Administrator the exploit won't trigger as the administrator ACE has been copied to the key.
I believe this may be a good example of an 'Elevation of Privileges' type of exploit. This is the Find-A-Hole-And-Make-It-Bigger Exploit (FAHAMIBE) Say that three times fast.
Kidding aside. I hope this is useful to somebody but may not be the cause of all errors like this one so check very carefully.
I don't think this is caused by the newest Adobe installer or release.

Videos don't work since the last update of Keynote

Hello,
Since the last update of Keynote, some of the videos on my Keynote presentations don't work anymore !
When I start the slide show, they say that I can update or optimize for iOS the videos but when I do it, I get an error "couldn't optimize or update...".
Any idea ?

On Vista Home premium, uninstalling and reinstalling buth iTunes and Apple Applicatioon Support did NOT work for me.
What did work for me was manually copyting CoreVideo.dll from the Apple Application Support folder into my iTunes folders (actually, to both of them - under Program Files and Program Files (x86)) as per advice posted in a Windows forum, found after an hour or more of frustration and failure.
This appears to be a bug in the 10.1 installation scriptimng - what's going on?

Any Flash Videos don't work in Safari 5.1 anymore...

Hi guys,
I did a fresh install of OS X Lion, and everything was working fine so far.
I even didn't have to install flash or so, the YouTube videos were working fine (CPU hungry as usual, but it was working).
Today, it suddently stoped to work. I tried to uninstall Flash, reinstall it but I can't get any flash videos... from any website.
However, everything works fine on Chrome... so it's weird.
The only thing I could think right now is the fact I did replace some Quicktime codec to add some format... Unfortunately, I didn't save the ones I replaced
It seems to be the only operation I did since the time it was working fine.
1) Can someone confirm me that quicktime codec could mess up the Flash video playback in Safari and not in Chrome?
2) Does anyone has the original quicktime codec to download? (from your /System/Library/Quicktime and from /Library/Quicktime folders)
Any help would be very welcomed

With help of someone else and hours and hours of hard fighting, I finally got it to work again by downloading and installing the new Flash 11 beta, available on Adobe Labs website...
I don't know if it did "fix" anything, but at least it works again...

Subtitle Timecodes / QuickTime Video (works) / MPEG-2 Video (don't work)

Hello -
I import subtitles created by a third party subtitle shop.
They work great when I put them on a video track that uses a quicktime video. When I put another subtitle file on a track that uses an MPEG2- Video (compressed before importing into DVD SP) the app says, "The video asset timecod may not correspond with the timecode specified for the subtitles in the import file or the file is invalid."
Any ideas?

The process of importing subtitles as data can be very complicated and difficult to execute sucessfully, but I don't hink this is limited to DVDSP authoring. The relationship between the master tape and the asset's timecode is vital, and that TC can easily be changed along the way.
The way in which the subtitles in a track will stay put even if you change the asset in the track can be useful in other ways. I have used this process to compensate for missing or additional pieces at the beginning of a program, differences between the tpae used for creating the subs and the master I had been given, etc.
Another trick I have used is to skip over content with stories. We were doing a 5-disc series of a cooking show - 30 half-hours in all. We had captioning data which I was able to convert to STL format using find & replace in Word. Got it all lined up, then the client decided it would be good to remove the 30-second sponsor clips from all but the first episode. At first thought I pictured re-encoding and just fogetting about begin able to work with the subtitles, but I wound up keeping my original encodes and just skipping over the unwanted content with stories. Worked like a charm!

Why Flash and videos don't work after 10.6.7 update?

After os update Flash, Shockwave and videos stopped working on Safari. Also Flash CS5, Flash Builder 4 and Flash Catalyst CS5 stopped working. An error message on Flash CS5 "Error initializing Java Runtime Environment. You may need to reinstall Flash." I have uninstalled and reinstalled stuff, fixed the HDD errors etc but so far no solution. Is this simply error in update software made by some tired engineer?

2 Suggestions:
1) Try reinstalling Mac OS X 10.6.7 via Combo Update, it's a common troubleshooting step:

i use the following to startup the AS

Videos don't work after update

Hi, I have downloaded videos and they were working fine until I updated iTunes a few days ago. The video works but there is no sound. The sound on the music tracks is fine, it's just the videos that isn't working. I assume that has something to do with QuickTime. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and Quick time but that hasn't belped either. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Facebook and youtube videos don't work on firefox. (Vimeo does & videos work on chrome and opera)

When I try to open an video in youtube or facebook the player just goes black and white.
With google chrome and opera I don't got any problems..
